Sure thing!

So, the one soul theory (also called the OS theory) is this fan theory that's trying to provide an explanation for the un-deaths that happen within the series and the immortality of all the central characters.

Basically, what we know for sure to be canon is that as long as one member of the household is alive, all the others will come back to life eventually.

This, plus some canon writing has lead some people to theorise that the main six (Juniper, Maxwell, Viktor, Ed, Winifred and Helliot) are actually all sharing one soul.

Some also say that this soul is currently fragmented and shared literally within the group, although there's a lot of different thoughts on how or why this happened (lmk if I should make a detailed post about that!)

Its one of the most popular explainations for why the characters all are immortal and in parts pretty heavily supported by the text.

It's a bit too much to go into in one single post, so if you want me to go into detail on something, tell me what!

Scribble dump! I‘ve had a very stressful time lately which for me typically means „scribble a bunch of sketches and see where it goes“ and in this case that meant a lot of art i will probably never make anything great out of.

What would the gangs favourite foods be in modern times? I'll tell you

Juniper: Döner Kebab. She canonically likes spice and foreign foods (to her) and it's popular in germany i think so shed be reconnecting with her roots

Viktor: Redbull. It's like coffee but it goes harder, i know for a fact he would go crazy

Edward: those japanese cream sandwiches with cutely sliced fruits. Because he is a posh english bastard at heart and you know he loves his tea sandwiches

Helliot: Taco bell

Zachary: Honestly idk that guy would eat nails... I feel like hed enjoy jawbreaker and sour candy, just readily available intense snack foods

Some commonly used terms for newcomers in the fandom:

Letter opener duo/Letterduo/ LO duo - Viktor and Edward, mostly talking about them just as characters or platonically

Edvik - the ship between Edward and Viktor (canon, btw)

Poemduo/Poetduo - the friendship/relationship between Edward and Juniper

Scalpelduo/widowduo/the rivals - Viktor and Juniper stuff, usually widowduo is only about her whole husband thing

Hellduo - Winnie and Helliot as far as I understand it

Original trio - Junie, Viktor and Ed. Tbh?? All of them are originals

Winiper - Ship between Winniefred and Juniper (also canon)

Summary of the canon (?) Timeline

Ok so as we all know, tsiaf is still getting made, retconned and added to by the creators so this is probably gonna be outdated soon, but I'll try reblogging it with updates when we know more, some of this is also just my assumptions of what happened bc of what makes sense, etc, so take this with a grain of salt!!!

Act 1: (around 1890)

• Victor and Edward grow up together

• Victor is the (trans) son of a servant of Edwards dad

• Edward is also trans, Edwards dad is transphobic

• Victor runs away eventually, leaving only a letter

• the Letteropener is originally a gift from Victor to Ed so ed can cut his hair to be, yk, trans

(Eventually during this arc, Juniper marries and during the end of this arc, Max comes to London?)

Act 2 - around 1910-1920

• a few years later, Juniper, a young woman who has married rich, kills her husband and employs Victor as a doctor to help her with an alibi.

• he hesitantly complies

• at the funeral after-party, Victor meet Edward again

(Eventually during this arc, Victor and Juniper become enemies, Max and Edward become friends (???), Edward commits a murder with the help of the other three and at the end of this act, Victor kills Edward using the Letteropener)

Act 3 - 1920-1930ies

• Edward is buried and comes back - first revival

• theres a lot of grief and mourning and unsaid things between them all

• Victor k••ls himself out of guilt and comes back

• at an undetermined point, Winnifred joins the house

(Sometime during this arc, Juniper dies for the first time, that's the train story)

Act 4 - 1930ies until 1960ies

• Helliot finds the four of them and introduces himself

(Sometime during this act, Edward and Victor become comfortable again, Maxwell learns of his immortality, Victor and Juniper become begruding friends and Helliot gets fully introduced)

I'm up late rn and I am just thinking about Juniper again so here are some funfacts about her that we somehow keep forgetting that are fully 100% canon (will do this for the others too):

She doesn't like white wine but stopped drinking reds after finding Viktor dead in a pool of his own blood

She cried after each of the original deaths except for her own

When she died and got hit by the train, it was because she saw Maxarie and wanted to talk to her friends

Her father was a train conductor

She has 7 siblings, none of which she has seen since she got married

Her main writer has confirmed that she sees Edward as something like her brother

Before Edward died she had a promising career as a poet/writer but stopped out of grief

Her favourite flowers are Wisterias and Poppies

Her favourite tea is peppermint

She had a cat back where she was born that was named "Sniff" in german

Mentally already working on a Goncharov x TSIAF crossover, I MEAN??

Russian-italian 1970ies obscure spy movie X victorian early-1900 murder found family drama with bisexual wife, blorbo husband, murder boyfriend and wife on wife girlfriending??? Dramatic sybolism? Sharp objects????

The ice pick paralells Viktors Letter opener, Katya and Sofia are basically just Juniper and Winifred, Edward is Goncharov, Andrei is Viktor. They even have that thing where people can't spell their names right (Andrei/Andrey and Viktor/Victor)

And the "The Sky Is Always Falling" fandom is so small despite it being such a good (and actually existing) piece of media and the vibe is so similar to Goncharov just... Victorian.

So, yes, Juniper and Winifred are canon, as in, the characters are confirmed to be in a relationship at a certain point in the story and are confirmed to be mutally attracted to each other by both creators.

However, due to the lack of content for both, it's not entirely sure if the characters are fully together as of now yet, so it's basically still in the making. Also, both of them ID as lesbians!

Literally its so haunting, it ties in with her backstory so well (dying on train tracks when her father builds them??) And the fact that she isn't found by anyone but just gets up and walks home after THREE DAYS is so insane and heartbreaking :(((

Hey there! Thank you for the interesting ask!

The fallen angels theory is the fandom theory that all the inhabitants of the house or, yk, the main 6, are fallen angels or in some way sent from heaven to experience life as humans before they can rise again, as a trial of faith and trust in whatever exact spirits up there that exist.

There's several variations to it:

1. Not all of them are angels

The theory is especially important to some Maxwell theories and partially also Edward and Helliot, so some people theorise that not all of them are angels, others are either demons there to test them or just other mortal souls. For example, that Edward is an angel and Viktor is a demon.

2. They're all the same angel (angel soul theory)

Sort of a crossover between the OS theory (scroll down for an explanation on that), basically just means that they are all the same angel or celestial figure (usually understood to be Michael, the arch angel, as a partial reference to "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein). The idea here is that they were split apart in order to understand themselves better and eventually return to heaven.

3. Guardian angel theory

Because of the vague canon lore behind Maxwell's death and the partial retcons around Winifreds, there's the theories for those two specifically that they are an angel and none of the others are and that their power grants the immortality to the rest, basically being a guardian angel for the others.

In Maxwells case, the evidence for this comes from his later addition to the cast aswell as the circumstances of his first death.

In Winifreds case, it comes from her "guardian angel" role over Juniper and her first death, too.

Since the supernatural isn't currently super explained, this is pretty popular for fans that see one character as the main character, basically.
