1. What did you do in 2017 that you’d never done before?

Got a real, full time job. Well, two, since I quit my first one.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Not exactly the biggest but one that left a big impression on me - I caught the bride’s bouquet at my friend’s wedding. 

11. What was the best thing you bought?

Yamaguchi and Daichi nendoroids. I think. 

30. What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

That I quit my first job, found another one, moved to another city and started living on my own.

37. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

This is extremely hard question. But… somehow both We Are The Champions and The Show Must Go On by Queen came to my mind. Well, I’d maybe use the second half of the lyrics from the second one:

B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

Not exactly. But! It’s Space, Not Hell (ao3, tumblr) hits pretty close. I mean, this is rather universal experience, what both of them feel - having a crush on a person with who you don’t seem to have a chance. And then dealing with it either by coming to terms with the situation like Keith (that’s me most of the time) or flirting around like Lance, maybe hoping that one day it works and you’ll forget That Person (ain’t exactly me since I, mostly, can’t flirt, and, if I do, it’s just for fun and totally nothing serious).Well, I never got a Relationship Ending™ from doing either, though.

There’s also Pretty Please With a Strawberry on the Top? (ao3, tumblr). It’s not from a personal experience per se but from, well, adding a bit of a fantasy to how two of my teachers behaved. From uni. You should know which ones. 

H: How would you describe your style?

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

Well, shit, of course I do.

When it comes to writing - cliches and fluff. I ain’t called Fluffy Hands™ for nothing, right? I’m totally projecting myself on the characters then. Who gonna stop me, though?

As for reading - filthy smut. Soft and sweet is also good but, most of the times, the filthiest/kinkiest the better.

Though… I embrace both of these so are they really guilty pleasures?

T: Any fandom tropes you can’t stand?

You just had to, right?

To keep it somehow safe - I hate latching on one characteristic of a character and making it their whole being. Or making the character someone they aren’t in their wildest dreams or nightmares (U KNOW WHO I’M TALKING ABOUT AND I’M GONNA BE FOREVER BITTER ABOUT HOW THE FANDOM TREATS HIM WHO THE FUCK IS THIS OVEREMOTIONAL MORE-FEMININE-THAN-ANY-FEMALE SLUT WHO ALSO IS STUPIDLY INNOCENT)I think this is the stuff that I hate the most and it really pisses me off. 

Oh, yeah and I also don’t like when a popular headcanon gets so spread out that it becomes more canon than canon. Sometimes to the point that not using it becomes A Very Bad Thing in the fandom. I totally saw people getting shit for not using popular headcanon.

​Kuroo stops in his tracks as the smell hits him too, making his mouth water. His stomach growls, echoed by a second smaller growl from Kenma.

POV

​Amidst the hushed sounds of shuffling papers and the whirling of the ceiling fan in the staff room, a sigh sounds out from the desk next to his. Kai glances over and watches as the teacher next to him puts his head down on his desk, piles two files on his head, which squashes his unruly hair flat, and proceeds to snuggle into them.

“Something bothering you?” Kai asks, pausing in the middle of his marking to turn his attention to an obviously drooping Kuroo.

“Kenma isn’t eating,” Kuroo sighs again.

“What have you been giving him?”

“Convenience store food,” Kuroo says glumly. “It’s bad parenting, I know. But the one time I tried cooking, Kenma refused to eat at all. And I don’t blame him because I felt the same way after looking at what I made.”

Chai Tea: Where do you want to travel next?

I’ve only ever really gone out of the country twice (both times in Japan) so I would love to go to other places. If I could, I’d love to go visit my friends in Canada/the US/Europe! Domestically, I want to explore more of the beaches in Bohol, also Bataan, and Palawan!

Ice Tea: Do you miss somebody? Why?

I think we all miss somebody who used to be in our lives hahaha yeah I miss my dad everyday, and I miss this girl because I broke her heart and I think she hates me now (which is only right I suppose) but I miss her a lot and I wish I could properly apologize for the things I’ve done

Flowering Tea: What is a movie you can always watch? 

I have a lot of movies I can re-watch every time and not get bored of it, but right now, I’d say What We Do In The Shadows because that movie’s just great and hilarious lmao

OH BOOOOOY that’s complicated.

Anyway - I always need to wind down. A lot. Especially if I was outside, meeting with people. Even more if I was at work, working the closing shift (which is always problematic since I come back late). 

It takes a lot of time. First I need to eat dinner and take the shower (it doesn’t matter which of the two is first, I often change the order). Then I’m going online. I like to do some mindless stuff. I scroll my facebook wall, check snapchat, and then, more often than not, check tumblr. I HAVE TO listen to music. Usually, the later it gets, the more probable it is that I’m listening to chill(out/wave/step) ambient and such. Before going to bed I tend to put some stuff on my face - like eyelashes and eyebrow conditioner, acne medicine, the gel for under eye puffiness and shit. Then I go to bed but usually fumble on my phone for some time.

That would be, more or less, all. I think.

Sadly I’m closer to we’re gonna die anyway so why bother nihilist yolo than to we’re gonna die anyway so why not nihilist yolo. But I’m trying to switch.

I think it was more of a random ‘anon hate’ than another shipper of another fic since, at the time, I was writing my original stuff and that comment was under one of such things.

And yeah, just as you say - in the end, the most important thing is the progress. And, to be honest, I’m rather satisfied with the stuff I write. If I do write...

I’m sorry it took so long, but here it is!!! 

“Hey, Daichi?”Matsukawa sidles up to where Daichi was sitting on the couch. He hums inresponse, without taking his eyes off the book he’s reading.

“Wanna try somethingnew with me tonight?” The statement made Daichi pause, and he slowly lifts hiseyes away from the book and turns to look at Matsukawa’s face. He’s expectingto see a leer of sorts, or any indication that this is Matsukawa’s lame way ofbeing suggestive, but all he finds is the usual bored expression, albeit hiseyes are holding a little glimmer of excitement and mischief.

Daichi frownsslightly. “What does something new mean?”

Matsukawa grins thenholds up different colored rectangular foil packs, all with small pictures ofanimal head in the middle, spread out in both his hands like a fan.

Daichi stares atthem, then back to Matsukawa’s eager face. “What are those, exactly?” He closesthe book he’s reading and adjusts his sitting position to be able to faceMatsukawa comfortably.

“They’re facialmasks.” He says, like that explains everything. And maybe it does, for otherpeople who actually know what they are, but not for Daichi. As such, Daichionly blinks up at him, waiting for him to continue explaining.

Matsukawa lowers hishands. “It’s the trend right now. For skin care.”

“The trend? For skincare?”

“Yeah.” Matsukawanods.

Daichi scoffs at him.“Since when did you care about skin care? You, who barely even shaves, and onlydo it when I tell you to.” He picks the orange colored one and reads the labelwith skepticism.

“What are you evensupposed to do with this?” He puts it back down with the rest. Why did Matsukawaeven get so many?

“You put in your faceand it’s supposed to make it look and feel better.”

Daichi frowns deeperthis time. “Are you saying I’m ugly?”

“What?! No!”Matsukawa shakes his head frantically. “It’s not that! I love your face! It’samazing!”

Daichi raises an eyebrow,quelling the amusement from showing on his face. “Then why do you suddenly wantto put facial mask on my face?”

“I’ll be putting themon as well. It’s not like you’re going to be the only one.”

“Yeah, but why?”Daichi mild accuses, crossing his arms defensively in front of him, not lettingup the irritated act. He’s not truly angry, he’s mostly just curious about thesudden request, but he’s always had a kick for seeing Matsukawa flustered.

Matsukawa sighsdeeply and slumps his shoulders dejectedly. “It’s for a dare.”

“A dare?”

Matsukawa nods.Daichi rolls his eyes. “Let me guess, Hanamaki?”

“And Oikawa.”

“Of course.” Daichisighs. “What are you supposed to do, exactly?”

Matsukawa startsrubbing the back of his neck, but he looks quite hopeful when he meets Daichi’seyes as he explains. “Just to convince you to wear a facial mask, and take a coupleselfie and post it online.”

“That’s it?”

“Well, yeah…”Matsukawa says slowly, “Although it will make me feel better and it will be agood way to get back at Oikawa, if our picture actually gets more like than hisand Iwaizumi’s.” The glint on his eyes was unmistakable.

Daichi ponders for itfor a moment, and when he looks at Matsukawa again, he sees the mischief onthem as well. Daichi isn’t one to take competitions lightly, no matter howpetty it may seem, and if it’s Oikawa they’re talking about, then he’s keenerabout showing him.

“Then, let’s put thatfacial masks on and take that damn couple selfie!”

Suffice to say, theirphoto (the two of them donning the facial mask; Daichi got the tiger one on,while Matsukawa went for the panda, cheeks squished close, goofy smiles ontheir lips) got way better reception, and that’s as good as any victory.

I had fun experimenting with the pairing (and the word). XD Thanks for sending in one, Kath! Hope this is enough to get you through. Fighting!!
