Lady Celestine: Navigator of the Constellations:

The Forgotten Hero of Yore

The Merlyn of the KBASW (AU) & the love of Arthur's life.

Just to be clear Merlyn & Celestine are the same person it's just her disguise when she goes out.

Character Overview/Personality: She's the combination of Merlin from Disney's Sword & the Stone, Queen Eclipsa from SVTFW, Willy Wonka from (Wonka 2023 ), and Merlin from (the 2008 TV series).

She's an optimist... many of her peers mistake it for being naivety but in reality she's well aware of the darkness in the world... she sees it every day with her powers. Since seeing so many terrible things in the future she treasures the present and is always grateful for the things she enjoys in the now. (Also there's another reason for this....)

And finds the joy in the darkest of times...

She likes to be overly prepared... And tend to keep (*hoard) things they might need... Often tends to hold things she doesn't really need. With Arthus side eying her "You really need to keep that."

"Don't look at me like that Wart... WE MAY NEED THIS HARPOON ONE DAY WHO KNOWS & YOU'LL THANK ME LATER !" *proceeds to carry bloody harpoon home... with Arthur facepalming himself*

They actually did end up using that harpoon 3 months later & Celestine rubbed it in Arthur's face for an entire week. This constant hoarding led her to the first iteration of the Dimensional Cape, which started as a dimensional bag to store all her stuff. (LMAO).

This brings me to Celestine's wisdom & sass: similar to Merlin (the series & Disney) is filled with cleverness & comebacks. When she's doing her diplomatic work and out and about she knows how to do it "gracefully."But when she transforms into Merlyn, she lets loose exactly how Merlin is when he becomes Dragoon. Has no filter and becomes a chaotic old man throwing shade left & right

She hates' cursing so as resulting in hilarious, nonsensical words to place them: Fiddle sticks, biscuits, sweet butter crumpets, etc ~

Her future sight has made her a very empathic person... knowing the suffering of others in her visions. Creating a very kind, caring individual who wants the best for everyone, for them to be happy.

Lady Celestine serves as a catalyst for the anime Kirby series...

Now Celestine can't predict the exact future... only show potential paths. But her powers can guide people to the outcome they want and the path that constantly changing.

Absolom made Celestine focus solely on her future vision and trained her personally... He tried to paint himself as this kind saintly father figure towards her... but in reality, wanted to monopolize her ability.

He tremendous amount of pressure on the poor girl...(Mother Gothel Style "Mother knows best) Believing the only thing that made her valuable was her future sight. And one more thing about Celestine... SHE HATED HER FUTURE VISION! She didn't just see the future... she experienced it! Feeling all the raw emotions of the scene.

However, Absolum would guilt-trip her: "Oh you don't want to let everyone down... you're the only one who can do this... you're so special... you can't disappoint everyone..:

Causing her to grit her teeth and bear with it... Absolum was like a father to her she couldn't say "No." Plus it's not like she could let them down... One day she had a terrible vision foreshadowing the demise of Shiver Star...

The people of Shiver Star were infected by Dark Matter's essence... Nightmare & his demons robbed them and stole all the planet's resources... while the people were possessed and had their life sources absorbed by Dark Matter.

Celestine immediately ran to the other Heroes of Yore & Absolum.... for this and assured the worried child they'd take care of this... "don't worry we'll use this information and take care of it."

And they didn't just take care of it... THEY MADE IT WORSE! Seeing an even more terrible vision appeared before her.

Celestine: Wait I thought you said you'd-

Absolum: Oh but my child we did you said that planet was a goner anyway... they were already possessed.... it would be so wasteful if all those resources would fall to Nightmare...

Sir Uther: We cleared out the planet before Nightmare did. And killed all of those who were going to be infected & spread it throughout the galaxy... we prevented the problem before it even happened...*gives a wicked smile*

Absolum: Yes we couldn't have done it without you *gives a wicked smile*

Celestine couldn't help but blame herself for the downfall of Shiver Star... A few hours later Celestine's warpstar cracked-

"No problem... I think," Absolum

To remedy the situation, Absolum tried to fame concern for her but in reality was keeping her in the temple to hide that she was "broken." She could still tell fortunes just at random, they just had to keep her near the temple and store them whenever they came to her.

Absolum was still reeling at how could this happen... he didn't want to expose his little mistake. (In truth he knew he was working too hard and put her to work earlier than most, because of her ability... CHILD LABOR AM I RIGHT?!.) It was still too valuable, they can't risk having her break some more...

Thus, Celestine became a caged bird.

Uther felt that she was a failure unbecoming of a Hero of Yore and not deserving of her title. She can no longer do the ability properly and with her body always hurting how was she going to fight on the battlefield!

Along with that thought she be too emotional anyway... always trying to steer them to the future... the least amount of damage... HE WANTED PROGRESS! Often opting for the method that would get him results not caring about the collateral damage!

Icarus shares in Uther's sentiments, with the added notion that she got away with lazying around doing nothing. Just got to sit there waiting for the next prediction to come around. He & Uther were doing all the heavy lifting and she was still being treasured by Absolum... (he wasn't jealous of the attention or anything...)

Thus resulting in Icarus having the brilliant idea of sticking Celestine with all the political fairs (the paperwork). Which seemed like a good idea at the time (a decision they would all come to regret).

Unbeknownst to them... they had given Celestine all the diplomatic power in the galactic court. Managing to win over the galactic council with her charm and grace. Uther had always used his power to intimidate his ideals.

However, Celestine had a softer approach and was seen as far more likable in the... (this was before the council was corrupt and this was due to Celestine's influence...) Often resulting in the members to come to her for their problems. Uther couldn't beat her in this arena... being reminded all too well this was a political battle as well.

For Icarus, you see there was a... certain deal he wanted to part take in... a deal with Halacandra. Where did the GSA partner up with and believe that he could easily impress with his inventions... with their queen?! ( Minerva Mim - Magolor's great aunt)

What happened... the king was supposed to be here whys he spent an entire month sucking up to him who was this queen...

The queen was not impressed & ended up showing technology far greater than his... for the first time, Icarus was forced to eat humble pie... "How could this have, surely this is some sort of mistake shouldn't the king be here-"

"Oh he's dead... and unlike him, I'm not to be won over by pretty words and flattery now you offend me... why would I ever want to do business with a lowlife with you!"

Madam made sure to inform the GSA they would not be doing business with them & Absolum desperately wanted to get that deal. Then Celestine volunteered to remedy the situation & suggested inviting her here.

Absolum agrees seeing there is nothing to lose, Uther believes this was just a desperate attempt to try to be useful while Icarus is excitedly waiting for her to fail.

Meeting arrives Celestine takes care of everything personally and at the end of the day. Queen Minerva is all smiles and arrives with a contract, "Alright I've changed my mind, and I'll do the deal as long as I'm working with her."

Minerva wasn't interested in Icarus' inventions but Celestine's alchemic formulas were revolutionary. And just had to have her on their team.

Absolum was shocked and relieved... (maybe this girl had more than one use after all...) and was constantly praising her. And because of her connections with Minerva... she'll need a bodyguard now when she leaves the GSA base but what the why it was worth it.

And Icarus oh how badly he wanted to be part of the mixing pot, but he had to go through Celestine. Who was more than happy to reject his proposal and experiments. (Icarus never forgave her for this.)

She was becoming too influential now ... This resulted in Icarus scheming with Uther... to get rid of her.

Thus beginning the creations of the Ancients & the Halcandrans, with Celestine & Minerva leading the helm. Alongside Dairus Drosselmeyer (Minerva's right-hand man & Daroach's great uncle)... they created many of the legendary treasures... that were now scattered about the galaxy.

(These were kept secret from the GSA... Minerva knew the truth of the situation... for you see during the meeting she had hidden away Kirby's prediction not of him just defeating Nightmare, but the reawakening of Void Termina & Doomsday... and showed it to the Queen and she understood... that's the other reason why she said yes to her)

Minerva helps Celestine create the Kabu's across the galaxy and presents them as "safe houses for star warriors" but in reality, they were all preset guides to Kirby's prophecy.

And helped her create Triple Star... Thus the creating the vigilante Merlyn.... Her work as Merlyn didn't go unnoticed and the people of the galaxy started to recognize the hypocrisy of the GSA. Which made the Ancients & the other's blood boil.

This resulted in having Uther send in his send three of his best soldiers: Sir Nonsurat, Dame Morgan, and last but not least (you guessed it WART... I mean Sir Arthur.)

Kirby's prophecy spoke of "a match" to start the spark that would flame of a new era of peace...

Arthur- Match/ Meta Knight - Spark/Kirby - Flame

At the time she didn't know who it was; the prophecy was incredibly vague with which one it was. But she wasn't going to pass her knowledge to any of them without being sure. (She didn't want another Shiver Star incident to happen... not again...)

But know would she determine which one it would be... they all seemed the most unlikely candidates as "the match." How could she weed out which one... A TRAIL, A TEST, A GAME!

So like in tales of old, Celestine did these little tests of character... and would secretly tag along during missions. Giving them all a chance to see which one it would participate in... Giving them little riddles of the monster Nightmare would do. But she always gave them a choice... (bread crumbing) can't face anyone to change.

However, three of them all seem annoyed at this except for... Sir Arthur was the only one captivated and interested. It takes a while for Arthur to accept Merlyn's but only after the events of:

That makes him actively ask for Merlyn (Celestine to help him change) and pretty much becomes Celestine's partner in crime. And as to become a willing student... merely wishing not to become like his master (Sir Uther).

However, their little sparring match still happening, with the condition that he should win... Merlyn's not allowed to be called him Wart... (Needless to say she fought him twice as hard.)

(This post-Celestine is Merlyn:) It goes into more detail about their relationship here but... I added a few things.

Romantic feelings only start after that...

Basically, before they knew they were head-over-heals for each other their love could never be in reality. Not just because of their positions but something else...

After her warpstar broke... she received a terrible vision of her body eventually breaking and her disappearing into star dust. Foreseeing her early death...

She had initially accepted but after all the friends she made (and falling in love with Arthur) she did everything she could to stay longer for them... Celestine tried to keep herself together as long as she could, and managed to keep herself alive a little longer (than she was supposed to) but now she could feel it... she was running out of time.

How was she supposed to tell her everyone... Minerva would be devastated, who was going to help Darius (& Minerva) with his creations, who would protect her followers, and stop Uther & Icarus from making the galaxy into a wasteland...

And worst of all she'd leave Arthur all alone & heartbroken. Who's supposed to tease him now, make sure he doesn't do anything reckless, keep that ego in check, make sure he isn't a prat, to remind him to smile and enjoy life... to laugh... oh her poor little Wart...

No there must be another way...she couldn't tell any of her friends... she wasn't giving up yet... However, little did she know that was the least of her worries...

Celestine was always careful with hiding her connections with her alter-ego... and Arthur, but there was one person who did figure this out. Sir Nonsurat; after Arthur had saved "Merlyn" from his grasp he started to see a pattern.

Arthur had been an accomplice to Merlyn's along... "HOW DARE ARTHUR, I KNEW YOU NEVER DESERVED YOUR POSITION AND WITH THIS YOU WILL BE RUINED FOR SURE."

Thus, Celestine received numerous horrible visions (she got them all at once)... of Arthur being found guilty in a trial. And at the end of each, Arthur had refused to sell her out, remaining loyal to her, confessing his love for her, and dying. And then she saw her demise as well... her body finally breaking right after... poofing into stardust.

Being completely overwhelmed, she burst into tears. Desperately searching for a future where they could both live... (a future where she could be happy with him.) However, it was either that she & Arthur had escaped and her body would explode and Arthur would be captured (by the GSA) and executed right after for his desertion).

Celestine couldn't help but believe that she had destroyed Arthur's future all because she had gotten involved... (it was Shiver Star all over again.) Just like in the other futures... what could she possibly do...

Perhaps...she could solve one problem with another...

So, before the day Nonsurat was going to turn in his report of evidence... Celestine had stolen it away. And with the help of Darius, they manipulated the information to frame someone else...

Nonsurat was infuriated once he found his evidence to be stolen... But he didn't want to cause an uproar, so he demanded a completed search of every squadron. Under the pretext "there is a traitor among us, and they've stolen my documents..."

A complete search required every general to be accounted for. Nonsurat observed Arthur carefully only to find him especially giddy!?

Arthur: I do hope the search is finished soon... The sooner we finish here the sooner I can give Celestine this-

Kit Cosmo: Code red! Everyone needs to come to the Courtyard immediately! Were under attack!

Arthur: By who?!

Kit Cosmo: By... Lady Celestine...

(She had already known Icarus was trying to take her down... so using her Nonsurat's evidence, she had successfully framed herself... handing it in in the guise of one of Icarus' informants.)

With the information he had put together and received, Sir Icarus concocted a false trail that Celestine was leaking information and was secretly in cahoots... with Merlyn.

Since it was a trial that involved someone as high-ranking as her... she knew the trial would exclude a select few. And since she knew Nonsurat would warrant a search... she knew it would be the perfect thing to keep Arthur out of the trail.

Celestine: Well, if I am going to get locked away... I might as well make it worth the sentencing.

It was at this moment that Celestine unleashed her demonic owl (she had hidden away) and bit off his head Absolum; killing him instantly. (Madoka Magica style). Icarus tried to stop her but failed Celestine resulting in his wings being ripped off. And officially went on a rampage letting out all those years of unbridled rage & sorrow she had kept in.

Then she remembered quickly about Kirby's prediction... quickly she created her own army of Hydro Clones... to leave them all at bay.

She went into her lab and quarters and destroyed every piece of magical research and Alchemic formula. She wasn't going to let them benefit & use her research any longer and most importantly to keep Kirby's predictions... but one person who managed to get through the army... it was none other than Uther.

Uther: I always knew you were a little witch~

Celestine: That was a sham trial & you know it ... You forced my hand

Uther: You should; 've stayed in your place, someone weak as you, you are not worthy of your spot as a Hero of Yore-

Celestine: Well you are not worthy of your spot as leader! You never were and one day you'll fall you'll see *at that moment Celestine received another vision-*

At that moment Uther thought this was the perfect chance to lung at her but this backfired... he accidentally ended up seeing Celestine's vision too... And it visibly shook him to his core.

Being overwhelmed by the very visions that plague Celestine, (claiming before she was emotionally weak, was causing him to be paralyzed by fear...) It was a vision of his throne crumbling down& everything he built and it was being led by one astral... he couldn't make out the face... was... was it pink...

Celestine tried to pull away so he couldn't see the rest of the vision... and ended up striking his right eye to stop him... Uther was left frozen while Celestine could feel her body about to break and desperately made her escape... But as she stormed out...

Uther: Will make sure you're vision will not come to pass I will find that pink warrior if it's the last thing I do... And I'll- you'll die by my blade gah- *Still paralyzed because of the vision & couldn't get up

Celestine: Sorry Uther... but I'm afraid that honor won't go to you...*runs out to find Arthur* I've already selected my champion...

In the commotion, Arthur manages to find her, desperate he reaches, Celestine:

Arthur: We have to... you need to run-

Celestine: Graduation time Wart *sees a cast of other soldiers & on-looker watching* - Let's see what you're made of! Just treat it as one of our sparring matches and we'll be fine-

After all the losses in their sparing matches, Arthur finally manages to beat Celestine... "Well done, Arthur- you've finally done it, you've w-" * Visibly starts to break... and falls- and Arthur catches her

(Celestine pulls up a smokescreen so no one can see them... however, three people manage to sneak in)

Arthur: Celestine, what's happening to you-

Celestine: I've come to the end of my time- due to my condition my body was bound to break... I didn't mean to hide it... I really thought I could beat the odds... I'm sorry War- Oh I guess I can't call you Wart-

Arthur: NO! If that's the case you weren't in the best condition- *starts crying* I didn't really win-, you have to stay *sobs profusely* You have to stay and call me Wa-Wart!

Celestine: Figures *chuckles...* it takes you this long to finally admit you like the nickname ... Thank you Arthur you made my life short all the worthwhile... I hope you can forgive me

Arthur: There's nothing to forgive Cel- Celty, *cries* I love you, please there is always something... There's always, you told me that... You're the greatest mage in the galaxy... there's got to be...

Celestine: I surely hope that light of you doesn't get snuffed out *smiles warmly* it's going to be hard Wart but remember this...

Keep your eyes open and beware of the bad in the world... but also hold on to the good as well... you don't have to look, just know that it's there... it'll keep you from falling...

(the quote that Meta Knight said to Kirby originally came from Sir Arthur... that was told to me from Celestine...)

And even should you lose your way I know you'll find it again... you'll always be a worthy king to me. I love you too Arthur... and I always will.... (*they share one passionate kiss*)

It was an Arthur had so longed for, but it was lace with so much sorrow and joy all at the same time....

Arthur: I don't wanna let you go-* Gets knocked out by Minerva...

She had informed Minerva before the trial (and of course was devastated but was willing to fulfill her last request). And who stood behind her were Darius & Kit the only three witnesses to what really happened. Kit realizes that Celestine is Merlyn... She then handed off and knocked out Arthur to Darius & Kit Cosmo.

And made sure they promised to paint Arthur as the hero who defeated her. And fled the scene and Minerva went to her best friend and hugged her one last time... and fled with the others.

When they had all left to safety... she lifted the smoke screen only to see a hoard of Ancients led by Uther try to arrest her. She flew into the air Celestine had her Gravity wicked moment... as her body finally was about to shatter into pieces.

Celestine: I curse you all, *putting one final spell cursing the Ancients* (basically she's the reason why they all disappeared)

As her body started to implode they mistook it to be a suicide bombing and she was planning to take them all down with her... thinking quick the Ancients Crystalized to prevent the explosion...

But in that moment she has one final vision of Arthur taking the seat as leader of the GSA. She smiles and says "I always you could do it Wart *starts cry* It's just too bad I'll never be able to see it in person".

Arthur woke up in the hospital wing hearing... Darius & Kit recount the story of the incident. With the way Kit & Darius spun it was Arthur who saved the day... (Arthur realized this was all part of Celestine's plan: to give him a title that would protect him even when she was gone...) Arthur * began to weep* with Kit trying to comfort him the best he could...

Making Arthur (to the Ancients) irreplaceable... being able to take down a Hero of Yore when they (Icarus & Uther) could not. Being extremely grateful (and needing a new holy figure), gave him the title of "Holy Knight," and said they owed him one favor...

(So basically he got credit for defeating the love of his life & took her place as the GSA's holy figure...)

So in summary:

Before being detained, she managed to rip off Icarus' wings, blind Uther in his right eye, and kill about 500 Ancients. She was trying to escape only to be stopped by Sir Arthur, who defeated her in battle. But tried to escape only to be cornered by the remaining soldiers... and seeing she had nowhere else to run...

Despite the efforts of the Ancients to paint her as wicked, people could not believe in the shame of a trial. Especially Minerva, when she heard this false slander on her best friend (she had enough of it)... she declared Halcandra's formal separation from the GSA. Cutting them from Halcandra's advanced technology caused an even bigger scandal. And had put her down to silence her as well... removing her...

(What happened to Darius... well that's a story for later)

Ruining their reputation even further... destroying the pristine image they had built up until now. And those who were at the trail were split in the middle... On one hand, it seemed like she had gone on a rampage because of her unfair judgment and merely reacted because she was pushed into the corner. On the other hand, she had always been hiding away her true nature & hatred for all of them, and once she had been found out... she unleashed all of it.

Were both true...

As a result, the Ancients tried to erase her from existence... from the galaxy, with only the remaining Ancients & the Heroes of Yore remembering her... Celestine had become forgotten.` Basically, she was described as (by the Ancients) the unspeakable third who tried to destroy them all & maliciously take them down with her. And she had to be erased...

However, this did not remedy the situation... Uther was still haunted by Celestine's vision he must hunt down the pink warrior... he will not have his reign end. Icarus was all too happy to take over the Halcandra projects... however, was always constantly reminded of being reduced to flightless astral and still hates her to this day.

While everyone had forgotten Celestine: they all remembered Merlyn. But even though, "Merlyn" had become a legend, many doubted the actual existence... of this supernatural being.

However, there was one person who managed to remember her... and that's where her story ends...

Or maybe not...

Her crystallization saved her preventing her from exploding... So she was still alive in there. They tried to hide her crystal in a cave and seal it off so no one would find her... Little did they know that the cave held one of the dark portals of Morpho accidentally ending up in the underworld...

And guess who ends up accidentally winds up there.

BTW they got married in the Underworld

I actually planned this out to be a tragedy, but I ended up making them have a happy ending... (that I can't reveal just yet how it happens in the story)

BUT BEST BELIEVE OUR GIRL GETS EVERYTHING SHE DESERVES AND SITS ON THE THRONE WITH HER KING WHERE SHE BELONGS!

More Than Anything (METADAD)

It's come to my attention there has been a lack of Metadad... I needed to fix that immediately. Without spoiling, part of the song, in particular anything this song fits the METADAD (memory reunion)...

Explanation of and music video (More Than Anything) from Hazbin Hotel... Some spoilers, HC, Announcements

I strongly believe in Metadad in the anime... and it has always been my personal theory that Meta Knight was the original keeper of the warpstar. More Than Anything captures the reconnection (Kirby regaining memory scene) of Meta Knight & Kirby so well...

Meta Knight genuinely does want to be close to Kirby, but internal & external forces are keeping him from doing so. I've hinted at the external forces that are keeping Meta Knight away, but I never touched on the internal ones.

This man has war trauma & guilt! He doesn't feel like he deserves happiness and is genuinely afraid to let anyone in because he failed to protect the wartime family he made for himself...

Meta Knight, there's a reason why I've been putting so much importance into Meta Knight's crew (Team Halberd). They're meant to reflect Kirby's group, "the Star Allies." A group of misfits that come from different places & that are considered outcasts of society somehow create this perfectly odd team.

HC of KBASW:

-And the friend combos that Kirby (MK had his own version with his crewmates).

-Kirby & Meta Knight actually have the same (if not similar dream), and it's a big revelation when Kirby realizes just how similar he and MK are.

-Knuckle Joe becomes Kirby's second in command of Star Allies, similar to how Jecra was Meta Knight's in Team Halberd.

-MK becomes Kirby's biggest advocate when first establishing Star Allies & later Kirby becomes Meta Knight's biggest advocate when he becomes leader (of the GSA).

Announcements:

I know somehow (lowkey) this blog became a "Sir Arthur," but trust me, there's a reason I need to give him a lot of backstory. You see... Kirby's relationship with Meta Knight... is meant to reflect Sir Arthur's relationship with Meta Knight.

Especially since Sir Arthur is supposed to be in the next chapter... (along with Knuckle Joe and Sirica... I cannot for the life of me draw them right... I might have to cut the chapter in half...)

Plus, I gotta get you lot l emotionally invested, or the next chapter won't hold any weight to it. It'll be a week or two before I get it out for the next one.

THE JOURNEY OF A KING

I know I'm the most guilty of putting Meta Knight on the angst train... but this is all necessary for his growth. By the end of the series, our boy will get everything he deserves and sit on the throne where he rightfully belongs!

Or, in this case, the leader of the GSA. Believe it or not, I've planned this plot line from the beginning: Why else do you think Kirby gets the title of "Starlight Prince" when he gets knighted. This is Kirby & Meta Knights' story... they grow together and become what they were always meant to be.

And yes, for those of you who participated in the voting poll (whether he was Mordred or Gawain, honestly a half & half, but...):

Meta Knight is Mordred of the KBASW series.

This is Meta Knight's character song... (I was so inspired by this)

I can't really explain why just yet I have a longer post I plan to do but... to make a long story short:

Basically, kind of like Jon Snow's plotline (well, just after season 6: pretend the last two seasons of Game of Thrones didn't exist)

Meta Knight is basically the illegitimate child, but in this case, a demon child created by Nightmare. And due to that, GSA will never truly be accepted despite trying to walk the path of a noble knight. He was labeled "the cursed star from the moment he was born... and only found true happiness when walking his own path.

Meta Knight's story is about him learning to love every part of himself and that he is always worthy. He learns that through raising Kirby & being his mentor. And becomes the leader he was always meant to be.

I will get around to explaining the whole Mordred & Gawain sides of Meta Knight (it's going to be a long post!) And we are, absolutely getting the KBASW version of "THE KING OF THE NORTH" with Meta Knight!

Sorry for Somethin' Ya Neva Wanted~

King Dedede's hatred of Kirby was always rooted in jealousy... wouldn't it be something if, he realized he had nothing to be jealous over... that the life of a hero isn't what it's cracked up to be

(In KBASW) King Dedede will give grand two apologies: to Kirby... One to say that he's sorry & wants to change... and one that he says for Kirby as a friend.

There are only a handful of people who truly understand what Kirby's going through (MK, Bandee, etc.) and Dedede.

The apology, he's not only saying sorry for his actions (he namely did that in the first one)... He's also saying, "Sorry you have to go through this kid..." & "I'm sorry I didn't understand you..." It's the acknowledgment that I get what you're going through & it sucks.

(I would say this happens after the Marx's situation)

Dedede really gets broken down in the Dark Matter Saga (I would say he's the second most tortured character in the KBASW.)

Kirby's relationship with King Dedede becomes incredibly important to him... and he's one of the core reasons why he becomes a star warrior. By the end of the series their priceless to each other.

Prince Fluff's Father

Okay, so you guys can keep reading if you want spoilers, but.. if you guys wanna put in any, guess feel free.

But believe it or not, I have mentioned Prince Fluff's father 2 or 3 times before... you guys just didn't know it.

I may not have the event play out exactly like this (have Falspare less angry), but... Prince Fluff... is the son of the FISHER KING! Believe it or not, I planned this plotline ever since I introduced the Fisher King into the story.

Kirby and the gang aren't going to see Fluff any differently but Falspar...

Ya'know like Fishnet (cloth)- Fisher...

Yeah, I know far far-fetched connection but bear with me! This is just my way of connecting the game lore is to mix it with Arthurian lore, there are a few more surprises but the ones I have on the list.

Ribbon & Ripple Star's connection (Morgan Le Fay/ Dame Morgan)

Epic Yarn/ Prince Fluff's Connection (the Fisher King/ Fluff's father)

Planet Robobot Susie Haltman (Sir Icarus)

You know just enough to spook Falspar and make him wince and make him think it's the Fisher king at first glance.

After the whole incident (also mentioned here)... this was awake up call to the Fisher King. (I don't know whether to change his name to something else or keep him with a name.)

He magically isolated his planet, locking away Patchland and separating it from the galaxy & the war. (Also, so he can escape Uther's wrath for pulling away his support; so yeah all of that blame and anger went to Falspar.)

Basically, the land that suffered was not Patchland but the galaxy... Being cut off from the biggest source of good, destroying the galaxy's economy.

The Fisher King did do the work and eventually did become a better person... In a sense, the Pathland, (while still wealthy & stable in his rule) still suffered deeply inside. Tolling away regretting his actions...

A part of him does want to rejoin the galaxy, but he's too afraid that people will still see him as the man he was... the fear and shame kept him away from it all... Everyone!

He put the well-being of his kingdom and his people first... they loved their king. Patchland was prosperous and thriving while their king suffered in silence. He'd put on a smile and watched on in the shadows... Denying himself the love of his people and the fruits of his labor... (Basically, he was punishing himself for years...)

Until a certain, (Fluff's mom) had broken through the barrier by mistake... I have a cute love story planned out for them, but yeah, she was the only one who saw the king's hidden sadden.

Fluff's mom: Why do you suffer?

FK: Because I was a terrible man... I deserve to suffer.

Fluff's mom: Are you the man you were before.

FK:No... I uh-

Fluff's mom: Then why should you suffer?

Basically she's the one who "freed the Fisher King"

Yeah, long story short they fell in love, got married, and had Fluff... You're probably asking "Wait, hold on a minute didn't the Fisher King receive an injury that left him impotent." (unable to have children)

Yes, that is true... which is why he sought out a certain Yarn Wizard: *cough* Yin-Yarn! Who was able to magically create a son for him that was biologically his & his wife's. Giving her the child she's always wanted...

And the Fisher King... WAS THE BEST FATHER TO FLUFF! And loved him so much... He prepared him for the outside world. And told him of the man he was, before... regardless Fluff loved, respected, and adored his father dearly and never saw him differently.

Having a family gave him a newfound purpose in life... and gave him the confidence to return to the outside- Oh no, tragedy sets in... he falls ill (and slowly starts to lose his mind... the only thing he could remember was his wife & son.)- the price he had to pay for Fluff's birth... but he did not regret it at all.

Resulting in his wife & son having to see him lose his mind and his life fade away... bedridden. But all his plans to rejoin the galaxy and the GSA remain untouched... ready to be used.

Basically, the Fisher King's death plays out like this...

However, even though he passes on these plans to his son he gives him the option to never use them as well... knowing how difficult it would be for Fluff... being his son.

Even telling him, "Should anyone who has any grievance with me... accept it, don't deny it, and apologize to them, alright."

The Fisher King started off as an arrogant two-faced King but died a kind and loving man... he considers Fluff his greatest achievement... and his greatest regret is not being able to see the fantastic ruler he knew he would become.

He dies leaving his wife & son to grieve... two years later Prince Fluff's mother disappears... I know it's sad.

Prince Fluff looks over these plans but isn't sure if he can do it... though after meeting Kirby the gang he feels confident enough to do it... He's just going to need their support.

I'm not gonna reveal how this goes down just yet but... Flaspar was never able to find closure with the Fisher King incident... but perhaps he can find closer with his son. (>:3)

In the KBASW AU, they're very similar in nature, and they're brought together through circumstances... both are losers. And that is what makes their relationship so beautiful ~

I've decided to hit two birds with one stone...knock out a few questions I had...

Yeah, the Marxolor/Magolor asks have been stewing in there... Sorry for taking so long but I FINALLY learned how to draw Magolor.

He plays a big role in the story... he is pretty much very close to his game counterpart, but his reasons and motivations for the Master Crown are very different.

The Master Crown was created and owned by his great-grandmother... Minerva Mim also known as... MAD MADAM MIM. (And for those who aren't familiar with Disney's The Sword in the Stone.) Who was the ruler of Halcandra during her time...

Magolor's full name is Magolor Mim

But she's also a mix with Harry Potter's Minerva McGonagall.

(And yes) she's connected with Lady Celestine (who is this KBASW Merlin), and they were best friends. She's the reason why the Ancients & Halcandrans did business. Halcandran techolong & the Ancients magic. A deal Sir Icarus tried to secure but could not negotiate at all...

However, Celestine managed to get it with ease... (*cough* bribed her way*. ) Over time they did become genuine friends... I'll expand on her later... In short, she was basically the only one whom Celestine told of her alter-ego, Merlyn (Sir Arthur figured it out).

She was snarky, eccentric, and a bit vain at times, but at her core was a good person.

Celestine brought out the best in her and Minerva brought out the adventurous side of her and encouraged her to be bolder. (BTW she was the number one Celarthur shipper).

However, after Celestine's "execution" (secretly they crystalized her): Minvera refused to do business with the GSA & the Ancients due to her friend's unfair trial... despite the threats they made to remove her from power if she continued to remain loyal to Celestine... but no matter how much they threatened her she still couldn't do it...

As a result, the Ancients removed her from her seat as ruler... and the GSA tried to arrest her for siding with a "traitor." However, she didn't go down without fighting. "If I can not have my crown... NO ONE CAN!" Cursing the crown that there will be no more another ruler of Halcandra... and using it to erupt the volcano that resided on the planet... creating its now, current state... becoming MAD MADAM MIM. (But in truth, she was just grieving... loss of her best friend. )

After that, the Ancients ordered to get rid of any descendant of Madam Mim's lineage. And thus the GSA hunted down and exterminated every living relative of Mim's household. However one survived the carnage.

Magolor is the lone survivor of his entire family's... orphaned and on the street... struggling to survive. He did everything to keep himself afloat... even if he had to BEG, STEAL, OR BORROW. HE'D DO IT!(There are a few more things... Magolor had a connection to the Sqeak Squads and Daroach, but that's a story for another day.)

Eventually, he finds out about his heritage and the fact that his whole household was wiped out due to... HER LOYALTY TO ONE PERSON. BAH, DANG IT GRAN WHAT WERE YOU THINKING I COULDA BEEN A KING AND YOU THREW IT AWAY FOR FRIENDSHIP?! From that, you can probably see why Magolor isn't so keen on the value of it since the very thing pretty much wiped out his entire family... And thus began Magolor's search for the crown...

Magolor's betrayal, & redemption does happen like in the game:... does his little shop, makes his amusement park. However, he does a few extra things that connect to the Kirby anime... Magolor manages to revive Chill and rebuild Kirby's robot dog for him (episode 12). (After that, the gang was won over by Magolor...)

Kirby's robo-pet is actually a big thing in the KBASW, he's basically the equivalent of Kirby's iPad/computer.

With this Magolor is fully redeemed, but his arc's not quite done just yet... he still can't help but feel something is missing in his life. Yes, he's learned the value of friendship and junk... he has friends now but... How could he still feel alone when he was people around him.. a feel that he could only describe as underlining emptiness.

Enter Marx. And as I said in the Marx post... Marx saves Kirby ( I won't say from whom yet but) he gets injured the gang wants to help him but... He didn't want a pity party and tried to get away.

Marx: I DON'T NEED YOUR HEL-! *FACE PLANTS ow...

Everyone: You need our help~

Marx wasn't comfortable staying in Dreamland to recover (he knows people *cough* Bun wouldn't take too kindly of him returning), so to compromise, they cashed in a favor from Magolor... Resulting in Marx being delivered by the gang... via kitten in a basket.

Kirby: Hi Mags, this is Marx... Do you think you can watch him for a bit he's we just need you to watch him so he can recover.

Magolor: Okay, sure... but why is he in a basket?

Marx: HISS *shuts the cover*

Meta Knight: He wanted something with a lid on it.

Mags: Oh~kay *picks up basket* I guess you guys can pick him up when he gets better?

Magolor hoped whatever feral creature they had him watching wouldn't be that much trouble or, at the very least, not bite... but Magolor was pleasantly surprised that Marx seemed... to match him quite perfectly...

Shared his love of ancient relics & magic, sarcastic humor, and a wick wittiness similar to his own. And not just interest but personality-wise as well. Marx had an unapologetic straightforwardness that he appreciated, along with a few oddities that he found strangely endearing...This unexpected guest seemed to fit seamlessly into his life... it actually felt nice to have a companion like this.

Marx at first didn't know what to expect when he was dropped off at Halcandranss doorstep. He assumed that he was being sent to some sort of happy hospital facility, where they were gonna baby him and be monitored 24-7. NO FREEDOM AT ALL, HE'S JUST GONNA BE A CAGED ANIMAL!

But no Mags allowed him to do as he pleased... once he realized that he tried to pretty much annoy Magolor into kicking him out. Using his natural crass, sass, and of course, pranks to do it, however, Magolor didn't fall for any of them. Remaking at each of them describing them as "cute"...

Magolor: Nice try, but... You're not gonna to trick this trickster~

Marx: WHAT!?

Marx assumed Kirby that Magolor was another goody-two-shoes, but... did they bring him to some anti-prank master's house. He should've been angry, but he couldn't help but be impressed. It didn't take him long to stop his fruitless effort... there was nothing else to do but wait till he had a chance to escape.

Marx: "Nothing else, Just sitting and watching this guy... uh what is that you're working on... " leaving being instantly enamored and captivated with Magolor's work. Marx's interest and fascination with Ancient Technology is what drove him to use the Galactic Nova in the first place... which sparked Marx's interest and forgetting his original plans to escape.

Which led him to discover all the similarities they had... However, there was this secret unknown wall the other had up. Wanting to keep there both their "unsavory past beginnings with Kirby."

Magolor didn't want to scare Marx away especially when he was finally starting to get comfortable with him. And Marx not wanting to screw up another friendship he was starting to make, by revealing what he was. Both did not want to ruin the only good thing they had in a while.

When finally Marx recovered, Mags was just about to call Kirby and the gang, and immediately Marx pretended to still be sick. Visibly nervous when the check-in call comes in. This doesn't go unnoticed by Magolor,... so when it comes time to call up Kirby for the update, he buys him more time.

Magolor: I gotcha another week...

Marx: Wait, what...

Magolor: Listen I don't think I can get you another when the time comes so... so you think you can tell me what's going on... Kirby's a nice guy I'm sure he'll-

Marx: But I'm not-

This leads Marx to tell Mags everything about the whole "NOVA FIASCO," and Magolor is just speechless as he reveals each detail. Marx loner he spoke couldn't help but feel like he sunk in even deeper believing he blew it again...

Waiting with bated breath for Magolor to answer expecting him to respond in disgust... only with him to respond with. "Yo, same!"

Thus leading Magolor to reveal his past with the Kirby & the Master Crown, along with his road to redemption. This gives Marx a little hope, but not as much confidence that he could do what Magolor did... But Mags assures him that he's still a work in progress himself and that if he wants to be better he should give himself the chance to do better... after all the first step is always the hardest.

Needless to say, everything works out but even after the whole thing, Marx is still hanging out with Magolor... Hmmm... I wonder why! :3

I've kinda hit a bit of a roadblock with the fanfic's art style and recently have been wanting to change it up... but anyhow I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. (So for now I'm trying to knock out a few more asks).

Kni-Kni Lullaby Part 1

Had they all listened to Kirby... they would've figured it what it was... They will soon enough... (to be continued)

Kirby just wanted his lullaby from his papa~

Meta Knight has an incredible singing voice but is extremely shy about it (he doesn't think his voice is that good) and Kirby wants nothing less than his papa's singing voice.

(Lore/ backstory)

Dragato and Meta Knight were captured during the siege of N.M.E's Labe (which I will explain later because of spoilers), and Team Halberd had to go and save MK. The rescue was led by non-other Sir Arthur... needless to say, they all came in clutch.

To make a long story short, Jerca & Garlude were sent out to scout ahead for Meta Knight. They found him within an inch of his life... with him cradling the tiniest baby in his arms... they instantly knew, "We need to protect this baby..."

However, they're not out of the woods yet: while escaping, they spot none other than... SIR UTHER?! He was slinking around the containment unit where Kirby was... They knew something was up, so they hid away with Meta Knight's cape.

~Dialouge

Sir Uther: Keep quiet! I don't want anyone to know I'm here...

Uther's Subordinate: They're all in the outer building... Sir Uther, why didn't you inform Sir Arthur that you were coming-

Sir Uther: BECAUSE I DON'T NEED THAT USELESS BLOODY FOOL TO INTERFERE SAVE ANOTHER MISTAKE OF NATURE!...

Sir Uther: (Makes a horrific reveal-and intentions for Kirby)

And the trio finds out something... something they shouldn't have...Something awful. All three were frozen in horror... and at that moment, Kirby was clutching onto Meta Knight for dear life. As if he knew of Uther's dangerous intention. Swiftly, Sir Uther leaves in search of Kirby...

In response to this:

Jerca: AW, HELL NAW... NOT THIS BABY!

Garlude: Oh that MOTHERF*CKER...

MK: We go... we have to go now... we have to hide him..."

When the trio finally returns to the safety of their ship, Meta Knight reveals the newest little member of their family to the rest of the team, hiding away under his cape... (they all fell in love with Kirby instantly and swore to protect him)

That was 3 weeks ago~

Since then Meta Knight has been on recovery leave, and the higher-ups (Sir Uther) wanted to interview (integrate) him on his capture and what he had possibly found.

In MK's thoughts POV: (Nothing, just an astral baby that I plan to keep hidden from you & your filthy hands... You f*cking piece of- )

~

So while Meta Knight was at this B.S. interview, the crew thought wanted give MK a break tonight with Kirby, and everything was going great... that is until bedtime rolled around.

Putting Kirby to sleep was always a daunting task: he would cry non-stop and refused to sleep. Until Meta Knight would come in to soothe him... and whisk him away in private ... making him the only one able to put him to sleep.

Kirby always favored Meta Knight, so no one really questioned it... Jecra, however, was the only one starting to notice the pattern...

The crew managed to distract him (from the fact MK wasn't there) by playing with him and feeding him (they lost half the fridge), but when Kirby realized Meta Knight wasn't going to be the one to put him to bed... he lost it! He runs to find Meta Knight.

Kirby just wanted his lullaby from his papa~ He just has high standards for nap time and for good reason...

Meta Knight has an incredible singing voice but is extremely shy about it (he doesn't think his voice is that good) and Kirby wants nothing less than his papa's singing voice.

This is a good time to introduce two members of M.K's crew:

Sir Perry (Peridot Fleur De Lis) Non binary - They/ them

-The youngest & precious been of the group

-former thief/ indentured servant

-forced to join the GSA, family and sold them to pay off their debt

Sir Avery (Avery Lohengrin) Female - She/ her

-She is basically like Pearl from Steven Universe, but a more laid-back version

-peacekeeper/ mother hen of the team

-choose to join the GSA to run away from an arranged marriage

I have more on them later...

Garlude and Sir Gregory (another crew member I named) will be making an appearance in part 2, as well as a maskless Jecra (a little tease for now~)

There's also a reason why Meta Knight is so in-tuned with Kirby... I tried to hint at it while Meta Knight was holding Kirby... but that will be revealed later in the comic.

Wait hold it… Meta Knights the actually keeper of the warpstar (in your story) ? And now Kirby just “disconnected” with Fumu but then how did it happen with Meta? My mind is so blown the implications of this are just insane! Was Meta knight tricking Fumu this whole time?!

I WOULD STAY IF I COULD:

Kirby, my child I'm so sorry but...

You must forget me, but please know this

If I had a choice I would have stayed by your side

But by no fault of your own I can no longer be

But even if you don't see me I am still

There walking beside you as your shadow...

This takes place in the past;

Meta Knight's putting Kirby in his starship. He's grabbing onto MK's hand and pulling him in because he wants him to stay and play with him... he doesn't know Meta's about to erase his memories of him.

If you don't want to read spoilers, and if not, please proceed. :D

Meta Knight didn't exactly disconnect with Kirby... he merely erased his memory... but his bond with Kirby is still there.

With Fumu, Kirby cuts the connection himself. He doesn't believe she truly loves and cares... he only thinks that Fumu only loves him because he's supposed to be the hero.

Kaby revealed in the first chapter: he's still the dominant holder of the warp star because:

Meta Knight has stated this himself: "It can only be guarded by one who truly loves and cares for him." Kirby may not remember him... but the love is still there.

I can't reveal why just yet, but without going into much detail (cause of spoilers) but:

Meta Knight made sure Kirby's bond with Fumu was stronger, so... he allowed himself to become a stranger to Kirby... to protect him. (Reasons involving Nightmare).

But he doesn't know that Kirby cut the bond between him and Fumu, so...Guess who can retake ownership of the warpstar.

This will all be explored in the next chapter! (In the Heart of a Knight)

Leaders of the GSA~

(Past, present, and future) A.K.A: The Pendragons ~

When I first decided to continue (KBASW), I wasn't sure what direction the story would go or if anyone would still want to hear it. But I'm so glad I came back! I got inspired by so many other creators and people that I finally know where I'm going.

I know this piece is a little spoiler-ish, but I wanted to do something special to end the year. So it's the three GSA leaders (past, present, and future.) in their final armor sets!

And the story has evolved into something beautiful!~ I wanted to get this out there before the New Year. And Merry (belated) Christmas!

Guys, I just wanted to thank you all for such an awesome year. This goes out to all my mutuals & followers! I don't know where the story or drive would be without you guys!

Sir Arthur Pendragon and his final armor~

And yes, I know the blatant dragon references. (I look at so many dragons to get the armor right.) I swear it was a miracle that I was able to finish this before New Year's!

I'm pretty sure I'm finalizing the armor and mask, though I'm not sure if I should keep it open-faced (with his eyes being hidden). Or have his face hidden with his eyes peeking out.

For those of you who are aware (read this to learn more), Sir Arthur was supposed to be the "secret/surprise villain" at the end of the original telling of the story. (When surprise villains were trending "Frozen" Disney era.)

But for the rewrite, how on earth did this man transform into a good guy and one of my favorites!? The evolution of this man still blows my mind! But he has one of the most touching stories in the KBASW plot line.

Sir Arthur's story is a full-on love story (Celarthur), but it also serves as a setup for the main story. (Which is why it's taking me so long to finish Celestine's character sheet... sorry for the wait on that, but it's coming... I promise! )

Throughout the story, you're gonna see a lot of parallels between the three of them. But Sir Arthur is ultimately the one who ends the cycle and lays out the foundation for the galaxy.

Sir Arthur is meant to be the match that sparked the era of peace in the galaxy... (Dark era being Sir Uther's) Meta Knight is supposed to be the spark... and then Kirby is the flame. :3

KBASW Chapter 3: In the Heart of a Knight

~Earlier in the day 

“King Dedede’s going to fire your father!” Lalala exclaimed.

Lololo & Lalala had pulled Fumu and Bun away from the “town clean up,” rushing them back to the castle. The two siblings were tailing the twins as they entered the castle. Beelining straight to the throne room…

“Ya sure?!” Bun asked.

“Yeah, we’re sure the King called for them-” Lolo deepened his voice. Puffing up his chest, trying to do his best impression of Dedede. “Get down here, you bloody traitors: I'm dealing with all of you!” 

“He's probably mad that he can’t order monsters anymore, so now he’s taking it out on Dad!” Bun gritted his teeth. This hearing caused him to pick up his pace, running even faster, being the first to arrive in front of the throne room.

“Grr–, that sore loser…he’s not firing dad on our watch, right, Sis… sis-?!” 

“Sorry guys…I’m just tired,” Fumu quickly made her way beside her brother and the twins. Usually, she was the one to bolt in first when there was a sign of trouble… But this time, she was a lot slower…  

She joined the others at the throne room's grand door... she made her way to the front. Fumu creaked it open ever slightly enough for her eye to peek through. “ Come on, you guys-” she gestured. She expected the rest of the group to follow her lead, but they didn’t.

They just stood there gazing at her with concern... they were worried.

Bun looked towards his sister, “You could sit this one out if you’re tired.” The twins surrounded her… they took her hands, slowly guiding her down on the ground to sit. “We can take care of this!” The boy puffs out his chest confidently and bangs it with his fist. 

“But I-”

“Come on sis the King can’t order monsters anymore: this should be a cakewalk!”

“Yeah he’s right,” Lololo agreed. “He can’t do anything anymore!”

“And let's not forget we have the guy who defeated them all,” Lalala gleefully added, “Right, Kirby-” She turned around expecting a response, but there was none…It was at this moment the group realized… they had forgotten Kirby. “We left him in town -”

“Oh no!” Fumu exclaimed. “Guys, we gotta go-”

“METAL HEAD YOU WHAT!?”

A booming voice had erupted from the throne room, causing the group to shutter. No doubt it was King Dedede... 

“ Meta Knight, he's in trouble!” Fumu led the group in; they quietly rushed inside, sneaking behind pillars. The kid crept and hid behind shadows until they were in full view of the scene.

Meta Knight stood before Escargoon and the king, with Sir Ebrum & the knight duo (Sword & Blade) watching from the sidelines. The prime minister caught a glimpse of Fumu and the gang huddled behind the pillars.

Looking towards Sword & Blade, the man pleaded with his eyes to aid children. Sleathfully, the two of them made their way to the kids, walking backward, covering them from the field of sight. 

 “You kids shouldn’t be here,” Blade whispers,“ Dedede’s already angry enough!”  

“But Meta Knight needs our help-”, Fumu retorted. 

“No, he doesn’t,” Sword commented “You kids really need to go before-”

“Yes, it’s true, sire. I came here as a double agent with the sole purpose of hiding my identity as a Star Warrior and as the true guardian of the warp-star so-”

“THE TRUE WHAT!?”

Fumu's voice cut through the room. She was in shock and pure disbelief at what she had just heard pass through the Meta Knight's lips. 

“My dear, please calm down,” Sir Ebrum tried to console his daughter. Attempting to intervene, trying to avoid the situation escalating any further. “We’re trying in the middle of a meeting right now; why don’t you just take a nice walk-”

“Dad, move…” Her voice was calm, but hidden beneath the surface was subtle and potent rage.  

At that moment, Sir Embrum saw a ferocity in his daughter that he had never seen before. All his intentions of stopping her had vanished. Willingly, he stepped aside, allowing her to confront the old star warrior.

The grumpy old king turned towards his subordinate and whispered, “Ayo, Escargoom... Weren’t we suppose ta-”

"You wanna get in between that?!”  Gesturing to Fumu as she pressed onward to where the old star warrior was. Her eyes seemed lifeless, but that flame of rage quilled within them. 

"Ugh~" One look at them caused Dedede to snuff out all his previous anger and cave in. “Nope, not getting into that!” The king mulled it over until he fully conceded to the situation.

"Ya know, what let her have this-... whatever I was gonna say to old tin-can doesn't seem as nearly devastating as whatever Miss Loud-mouth has to say..."

~ Despite the on-lookers of the scene, it seemed like it was just them: her and Meta Knight.  

 “Meta Knight, explain yourself, now..." Fumu clenched her fist as tight as to contain herself. " I... thought I was the only one able to call on the warp star, and now you-"

She could feel all: the frustration, the betrayal, the hurt... it all built up in her throat until it became too much to bear.

“I’ve been the one guarding the warp star this entire time, so I’m gonna need proof before you go around claiming that you’re the real one!"

Meta Knight remained unmoved by this... calmly, he remarked. "Oh, but you are as well- perhaps I should have worded it better... I'm merely the original."

"Orginal?"

“Yes… Remember when you first picked up the Warpstar… and it was flashing green: I was transferring some of my ownership to you,” he explained.

“Transferring ownership?” Fumu thought back to when Kirby had first used it…  that warpstar flickered a pale green… it seemed plausible... Come to think of it, that was the first and only time that ever happened. 

“Though not completely… small doses.” Shamelessly, he continued on,” I needed to see if your bond with Kirby was stronger and that you were willing to stand by him, but thankfully, my trust in you solidified after Kracko’s attack it won’t be long now before- ”

"I still don't believe you!"

“You’ve always wondered how I knew so much about Kirby, correct?”Meta Knight retorted. “Well, here it is… As the original guardian of the warp star, I was given all the knowledge of Kirby's powers and abilities... Is that enough for you-"

"I'M GOING NEED MORE THAN THAT!"

"My apologies..." Meta Knight then tilted his head towards Fumu, seeing her tempered state. "I promise you're a guardian too... I didn't mean to make it sound like you weren't-"

"Meta Knight... can you summon the warp star too?" she interrupted.

"Um, pardon me?"

"I'M GONNA NEED More-..." Fumu was on the verge of tears. She began to breathe heavily as she stammered on, "More proof than to believe that the man I trusted... was lying to me all this time..."

She managed to pull herself together and continued, " You owe me that much." Fumu's eyes sharpened as if they were daggers... they had such contempt and disdain... for the man she once trusted... the man she once considered a friend.

"WELL!?"

The whole room was breathless. All eyes were on the lone star warrior. Everyone waiting for him to make his move... the silence alone was suffocating...

Suddenly, Meta Knight's eyes burned away their bright yellow hue and melted into a pure white. "Kabu... " His voice wavered as if it were a whisper. "Send in the warp star..."

"Warp star~" Kabu cried.

The old sage answered the call without fail (even in his damaged state). It was as if Fumu herself called upon the warpstar... It zoomed across the sky, cutting through clouds and scurring through the castle halls.

It busted through the throne room doors, passing over Fumu, and went straight towards Meta Knight. The light of the warp star shone over him as if it were a scene of triumph and glory. But it was nothing of the sort... instead, the guilty star warrior stood there in utter shame.

"So you really are the original guardian of warp star," she said in disbelief.

There was no denying it now... he was telling the truth.

"YOU DIRTY-BACK STABBER, YOU WERE HIDING BEHIND MY SISTER THIS WHOLE TIME!"

Bun stepped forward, and he couldn’t help but bud in.. he knew how important guarding the warpstar was to his sister... This was a slap in the face. She fought tooth and nail to defend it, and Kirby...

"That's right!" Lalala commented. "Fumu's been the one who had to stick her neck this whole time while you did the bare minimum!"

"Yeah, you barely tried to help fight off any monsters!" Lololo added. "You only got involved when it was convenient for you!"

"YOU'RE THE STAR WARRIOR... " Bun shouted in anger. "WHY GET US INVOLVED, WHY'D PUT MY SISTER IN DANGER!"

Woefully looked at Bun explained Meta Knight. "Someone like me isn't fit to be Kirby's guardian..."

"Uh- Meta Knight..." Bun was taken aback by the knight's sad expression. It wasn't just that but his voice: he never heard a sorrowful tone from him before. It was almost as if his voice was about to cry... The twins sensed this, too... they couldn't help but stand down.

"So, pawned off Kirby to the first chance you got to fend for himself and threw me into this situation where I had to pick up the piece you left!? "

However, Fumu could not...

"No!" The knight trembled in response to the statement, then in sorrow, he responded, "No, I never meant to do that... I never wanted to do-"

""AND WHERE WERE YOU WHEN Kirby and I had to fight Nightmare!?" She snared at him. "I WAS SO SCARED... SOME GUARDIAN YOU ARE!"

~Fumu was just so tired... tired of all of this. She always had to be the responsible one... always had to be the smart one. She was kidnapped by the king and held hostage by Nightmare... and all the monsters she had to take on...

She put up with it because she thought she was the only one who could do it. The only one who could help and protect Kirby. That she had some sort of destiny, but no... it was all because this man couldn't do his job...He used her as a cloak to hide himself… while she did all his dirty work?

"You know what I think..." She gritted he teeth; her words were dripping with venom. "The only reason you couldn't look after Kirby is because you're not capable of caring or loving anything at all!"

The entire conversation had come to a complete halt... It was at this moment that Fumu knew she had gone too far... Even Fumu herself seemed shocked about what she said.

However, Meta Knight seemed unphased by this...His eyes were still a haunting ghostly white... He took a deep breath and let it all out, burying his emotions... as if nothing had happened.

He merely sighed and said, "I have nothing to say..."

"Wait, what!?" she said in shock. "Is that all you have to say for yourself!"

"You're right... You're all right... about everything." His voice sounded weary and weak as he went on. "And I refuse to justify the things I've done... or rather the lack of things I've done...Nothing I say will make up for it- "

"IF YOU REALLY WANNA MAKE UP FOR IT THEN... THEN NEVER SHOW YOUR FACE TO ME AGAIN!"

~

"KING DEDEDE!"

Meta Knight then turned to King Dedede, who was frozen in his seat. Flabbergasted at what had transpired... "Uh, yeah, um... what's up?" He was taken back by being added to the mix again.

"There you have it... I, Sir Meta Knight, have manipulated a child to do my dirty work to hide myself as a double agent...this was all to accomplish and further my own selfish goals... SO FIRE ME!"

"Wait, what... I kinda had a whole list I was gonna go down of stuff ya were guilty of..." The king gestured to Escargoon to pull it out.

"Yeah, and I wrote a lot," the snooty snail started to unveil his lengthy scroll. "Let's see now, there's-"

"YES, YES, I'M GUILTY OF EVERYTHING!"

~SLICE

The list was cut into ribbons: Meta Knight's eyes were now scorching red. Fearless with in sword hand, he pressed onward toward Dedede and Escargoon. Galaxia began to glow in a golden fury...

He went up the steps to Dedede's throne; the king and his lackey began to shiver to hold each other for dear life. The enraged warrior loomed over them menacingly as if he were some sort of apparition from hell.

"SIRE, FIRE ME ALREADY!!!"

"OKAY. OKAY, YA FIRED! YA FIRED: JUST PUT THAT SWORD OF YOURS DOWN... ALREADY!" the king hopped down his chair and rushed straight to the exit. "C'MON ESCARGOON, WE GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO."

His slimy sidekick followed, "You're, Highness, wait... weren't we going to!" Then he peered at the knight's crimson eyes and was immediately silenced.

"WAIT FOR ME!" he shouted. Running out after the king.

And just like that, they were gone.

And with that, Meta Knight withdrew his sword and walked back down as if nothing had happened. He looked over to Sword and Blade with eyes once again flashing a pure white hue. The knight gave a brief but solemn bow to his subordinates.

He held his gaze with them: it was a conversation that was told in silence. Then, in return, the duo gave a bow back... however, they did not raise their heads back up, their armors shaking. So much their little clatter could be heard throughout the room.

"My purpose here is finished away ... you shall have your wish: you will not see me again."

Lololo and Lalala gasped, "Wait what!?"

"You're leaving..." Bun yelled at him furiously. "Ya coward... to think I looked up to a guy like you!"

"Meta Knight!" Fumu cried out. "Hold on a minute, there's no way that's all you have to say!?"

There was a long pause, and silence filled the room... Their eyes locked into each other. She waited for him to say something... anything to justify his actions.

But instead, the retreating knight looked away in shame. He took a glance around the room once more. The kid's eyes were full of hatred for him... and he had accepted all of it.

"I bid you all a very fond farewell..."

He grabbed the end of his cape... wrapping and spinning around himself. Shadows began to shroud his body. Twirling into a curled-up ball, shrinking ever so small up until... poof, he was gone.

"GRR, FINE THEN GOOD RIDDANCE!" she shouted as she stormed off.

"Sis, wait!" Bun chased after her, with the duo following them.

"Children, wait... You don't know the full story!" Sir Ebrum tried to call out to them. "This is a big misunderstanding... I need to explain to her... Sword, Blade, surely you two can follow him-" The prime minister looked over only to find the two frozen. "My word, are you two alright?"

"We can't..."Sword answered. Unable to finish looked at Blade

Then he blurted out. "He's going somewhere...we can't follow-"

~Meta Knight had successfully warped outside of the palace. Now, standing at the drawbridge of the front gates. Nostalgically, he gazed back at the castle, recalling his time there.

He looked towards the water in the moat, staring at his distorted reflection. "Hmph... I guess they were right... I do bring misfortune wherever I go," he sighed beside himself with guilt. "I shouldn't have let myself get so close to them... At least I know they won't miss me... they'll be safe from-"

*Zap*

"Gah-ow!" A strong aura passed through his body. "C'mon on, keep it together...you've endured this long... you have to hang on... a little A-AGH!." Now, the aura overtook his whole body... the magical binding on his wings (which he put on himself years ago) was starting to break.

"Come on, you have to hold on..." he clutched at his chest so hard to suppress the pain. "At least for-"

*Zoom*

A gust of wind had blown past him, knocking away several waddle dees into the moat. Splashing the water in front of his face. It was a brief second, but he saw it; it was the starship, and the pilot was none other than-

“Kirby?!”

With great speed, the old soldier chased after it like a bat out of hell. The ship was about to take off. If he doesn’t stop him, now he’ll be airborne into space.

Desperately, Meta Knight raised his arm out towards the launching ship. "Sweet Nova, I hope I can still do this..." Then, from his right hand, he emitted a dark aura from it. "Gah!" Once again irritating, the wings on his back. His voice wavering, "Keep it together!"

Soon, the same dark aura surrounded the ship... forcing it to stop dead in its tracks... and land. Then, with his trembling hand, Meta Knight balled his hand into a fist, and *SNAP*, he shut it off completely. He compressed his arm with his cape, trying to numb the sting.

The shutdown caused the cockpit glass to open immediately and out emerged Kirby. He hopped out of the starship, his face tethered to the ground. Immediately, Meta Knight rushed to his side.

"Kirby, Are you alright!?" exclaimed the knight. He scanned him up and down, making sure he wasn't hurt. Then he noticed a slight bump on his forehead. But other than that, he was fine. The worried knight gave out a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank heavens you're safe..."

He paused, changing his voice from concern to stern. "Kirby, what Void's name were you doing... YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HURT!?" Gently, he brushed his forehead. "You're lucky I stopped you on time! With that force and velocity, you would have been in another galaxy by now."

*SMACK*

“Kirby? "Immediately, Meta Knight backed away. "Did he just smack my hand away?" Still taken aback by what just happened... this was so unlike him. Something was wrong... Once again, he shifted his tone gently, asking him, “Kirby, did something happen?"

In response, the little one began to shake uncontrollably as if the answer was too terrible to explain. Attempting to speak, but no words came out. Then he was able to muster a little peep, whispering under his breath, "Poy-away.."

“Kirby…"

"Go away," the little boy shouted.

The pink puffball finally raised his head; he was covered in tears, his eye swollen from the crying. All the color from his face was flushed out of him. The glimmer of his eyes had disappeared, and his brilliant smile was destroyed. It was a heartbreaking scene that Meta Knight was all too take in.

It was clear to him now: Kirby was attempting to run away again... far away with his starship... he had just ruined his escape plan. (No wonder he was upset with him.)

Even though Kirby had tried to run away before, this was completely different... the child's spirit was utterly broken. The happy-go-lucky kid he had known seemed to have vanished.

"If he was ready and willing to fly away to another galaxy... he thought. "I can't even imagine what drove him to this state." He tried to reach out to the child again but avoided his touch.

Instead, the little astral tried to turn back and scurry off into his starship again. But he was stopped by Meta Knight's arm blocking the way. "Sorry, kiddo, you can't keep running away from your problems, you know?"

Kirby then jumped attempting to float over it but was gently patted back toward the ground by the knight's hand once again.

Desperately, he tried to slap away Meta Knight's hand once again. Failing desperately shouted in frustration, "Let go, let go, let go!" Trying so hard to escape his grasp, little arms wouldn't let him reach.

"It's alright, Kirby... you can cry now."

As soon as he said that, tears began to flood again... his mentor started to gently pet him... In response, Kirby took hold of the knight's glove and pressed close to his face... encouraging Meta Knight to comfort him more.

Without missing a beat, the man wrapped his cape around the little boy’s shoulder and pulled him in for an embrace. This whole time, Kirby just wanted to be comforted... as soon as he was given a safe place... he just let it all out.

"Waa- waah!" he cried. Granted, he was crying all day, but this was different. This time, he wasn't alone... Meta Knight was there.

"You're going to be okay now... you're safe..." he gently said. With each wail & sob, he encouraged the baby to let out all the hurt he was feeling. Lightly rubbing his back to let him know he was there.

And with. each cry, all the color had returned to the astral face, and finally, all his pain had been released. But screams had left him breathless... he began to hyperventilate again.

"Take it your time... You're doing fine..." Meta Knight reassured him. "Just listen to the sound of my voice... try to breathe with me, okay."

Slowly, he introduced deep breaths for Kirby to mimic. He reciprocated and was able to follow his lead. "Good boy, you're doing so well..." and praising him with each one.

As his breath became more stable, the little star warrior became more aware of his surroundings. The warmth of the Meta Knight’s cape, the softness of his glove that brushed up against his forehead, the gentleness of his voice…

But the most striking thing he could sense was his heartbeat. He snuggled himself closer to hear its sweet melody... It was the warmth and comfort he’d been desperately searching for... all this time. They held a tenderness that sounded so familiar to him… it's as if he heard it in a dream.

Though it came from the most unlikeliest of sources... Meta Knight.

A stranger, a man full of secrets... Shouldn't he be the most distrustful of him? After everything that happened today, shouldn't he be? Wasn't Meta Knight the one who wanted him to be a star warrior? He barely even knew the stoic knight...

But despite all that, something in his heart told him... This is where he should be... And so Kirby allowed himself to trust Meta Knight's kindness... feeling cozy and safe in his arms.

~But he knew him(Kirby)... Meta Knight knew him.

The old star warrior had all forgotten the aches and pains he had felt earlier. All that mattered was him... all that mattered was Kirby. As he continued to calm and coo the baby in his arm... a million things began to flood his mind:

~"When was the last time I held you in my arms like this... It feels like one eternity ago…" He thought to himself. "One day, when you're older... will you resent me for not being there... will you grow to hate me too... it's too late for regrets...It's all my fault that I'm in this lowly state... "

~Recalling everything Fumu had said...all of it was true. “Do I have the right to comfort him like this…” he thought. “Am I even qualified to do this?" He felt so undeserving... He already knew he wasn't worthy to hold this ball of light in his arms... he lost that privilege years ago.

 ~"Had I not tried to play the hero back then… maybe we wouldn’t be in this position. To watch you from afar… to hand you off, to be raised by another; to be reduced as a stranger to you... It's a pain that I can't even begin to describe... Perhaps this is my punishment..."

With every fiber of his being, he tried not to cry... he needed to be strong (for Kirby). But the tears couldn't help but escape his eyes. And held his child even tighter... as if it were his last.

"Everything I've done up until now was to prepare us for this- to prepare you for... But still, I can't, why can't I... how do I say goodbye to you...my little heart."

AT LONG LAST CHAPTER 3: Sorry it took so long, you guys...

I know my grammar and writing are sucky, I know... that's why it takes me so long to post. (I reread it over and over, and still, I end up with some mistakes) I tend to write when I feel panicked and it calms me down. (That's why it's sporadic at times... sorry about that)

And know it's a long chapter, but every time I tried to cut it... it just didn't seem right... (plus, I didn't wanna leave you guys on a cliffhanger)

~So yeah, long chapter!

Also, this is why I'd like to thank you for still sticking around and reading... thank you so much to all of you. (Love you guys!)

KBASW Chapter 3: (Chapter Notes)

And I tried really hard not to villainize Fumu. Because she does have every right to be upset with Meta Knight... He was the adult in the situation... She was mad, but it all stemmed from frustration, betrayal, and hurt.

That's why I made her kind of in denial in the beginning because she had such a strong bond with Meta Knight. However, there was always that unfairness of her being the responsible one... It just reached its boiling point.

This is also why I had that little scene before going into the throne room to show that she wasn't in the best state of mind as well...

Plus she doesn't know the full story, yet...

Meta Knight's still hiding things... he's protecting them (Kirby & the kids) from something.. This is why his departure was a little abrupt... he's running out of time.

(Which is why there's a "Lord of the Rings" reference with " I bid you all a very fond farewell...": love the series :D)

Meta Knight does have a good reason for everything... But he also knows he's guilty! It was hard for me to write this chapter because I wanted to make him in the wrong & in the right.

Added the other kids for their reaction, too, so it wouldn't be just Fumu calling him out.

I also wanted to give a reason why Meta Knight knew so much about Kirby... so having him being the original holder of the warp star seemed to fit well... with my HC so yeah it's in there.

The solution to this was to make him accept everything she said. Meta Knight doesn't justify anything, but... it still hurts him to hear it out loud... This puts him in a distraught state which is why he is vulnerable and drops the apatheic act in front of Kirby.

At his core, he loves Kirby to bits and pieces. Meta Knight's reason for everything has always been Kirby... And it genuinely kills him that he had to stay away from him.

There is more to be revealed, but... it's a real tear-jerker reason. Angst train is still just getting started!

The line, "It's alright, Kirby... you can cry now." is a reference to "You can cry now" (an old post of mine).

Despite how much this chapter kept kicking my butt... this was my favorite chapter to write so far. I hope you all enjoy it!

Kirbtober Day 7: Headcanon

Meta Knight was the original guardian of Kirby's warpstar...

I'm referring to the anime. (of course) Watch: "The Secret of the Star Warrior"/ A Dark & Stormy Knight ep 4. for context.

As Meta Knight stated himself: It can only be wielded by someone who "truly loves and cares for him."

Meta Knight, how would you know that... unless you were the original guardian... What made me believe this is that he specifically refers to Kirby's warpstar...

And there's no way he hasn't met Kirby before, so I sprinkled a little of my (HC) for that, but I won't go into details just yet. (Because that would be spoilers~)

I wrote out my explanation in the; Prologue & in a previous post.

This is the bread and butter of the fanfic (Kirby becomes a Star Warrior), so of course, I had to do it. Hope you guys enjoyed it.

Cape Theif

Birth of the Lone Swordsman

The red cape was featured in two previous posts (links above) and is a reference to Meta Knight's original design. I highly suggest you read these two comics for context.

(This was supposed to be for Father's Day but life happened)

Spoilers (but not really, since the title of the story is "Kirby Becomes a Star Warrior")... yeah and this is how the story will end. So just encase I do go MIA one day (hopefully not) this is how the story will end.

The cape was originally Sir Arthur's which he had passed down to Meta Knight and he had given it to Kirby. This takes place on the day of Kirby's Knighting Ceremony (the day he becomes a Star Warrior), traditionally it was the ancients that gifted a Star Warrior their armor and knighted them.

But it was different for Meta Knight. For him, it was Sir Arthur who gave him his armor and cape, so Meta Knight did the same for Kirby. (And commissioned Prince Fluff's help to design Kirby's new cape...)

Kirby knew this (Star Warriors were allowed to have a few preferences in armor & what they wanted as their cloth) but he only had one. Kirby wanted Meta Knight's old cape... it was the only cloth that he wanted to use. He told Fluff to make sure he & Meta Knight used it to make his cape.

Even in his older years, Kirby remained kind & humble and never forgot his roots. He would rather hold something sentimental rather than something flashy and new. It was a tribute to both MK and Sir Arthur... The cape went through two generations of Star Warriors and thanks to Kirby it was going to go through a third. At this point, they're father and son. <3

By the end of the story, Kirby gets three titles; Starlight Prince, Protector of Dreams, and Son of Meta Knight.

So is Papi in the story?

Yeah, Papi's in there plays a big role in Meta Knight's story. He is the key to Meta Knight overcoming his demonic instincts. He's integral in MK to learn to be comfortable in his skin...

(keep in mind I'm mixing game lore & anime lore). And for those of you who don't know Papi's character from the Kirby light novel.

With my version (the KBASW) of MK, his power level is god-tier! Not only that, but he was a strategic king. (This man was not the lone survivor without reason!) Hayday Meta Knight was an absolute war machine on the battlefield. But what's stopping him from being OP now, you may ask... TRAUMA!

After losing Jecra (his person), Meta Knight literally goes berserk leading to disastrous consequences. As a result had to seal his power away cutting 2/3 of his power level... to contain something awful away...

Even when he does unseal himself he basically has to relearn how to use his powers. They're not coming to him as natural (but in reality, it's more of an emotional reason...) Basically, his story with Papi is coming to terms with who he is (self-love and all that.)

But Papi's story doesn't exactly end with their adventure in Hades... Papi doesn't know this, but his (Papi's) soul is waiting for someone very special and is bound to wait for them... (he just doesn't remember who...)

Hint: My version of Papi's story was inspired by Orpheus and Eurydice's story... and for you, musical nerds/geeks out there (I'm one, too) basically Hadestown.

BTW: I've been getting a lot of lore questions lately and I love it!

Keep it up! Though it's just gonna take some time for me to get to them, I'm getting there I promise. (thank you guys)

Next up: Marx's role in the story! And I will say he is my second favorite character arc.
