To solve the issue of the recent revival of the seemingly never ending Keefe V.S. Fitz discourse, let’s discuss who’s fault both there intentionally written flaws are.

Shannon Messenger The original council and the butterfly affect.

Let’s say Fallon Vacker is never on the original council and is just some old elf; there is no Vacker legacy (good or bad), the Vackers status is likely only above average, and Fitz never has anything beyond basic expectations to live up to.

Similarly, if the original council was never corrupt its (likely) that the Neverseen would never have been formed. Elysian and Stellarlune wouldn’t exist. Heck, there’s reason too believe Keefe himself would never even exist because his mom would probably never have the desire to make The Lodestar Initiative.

Which brings me to my final point. Fitz wouldn’t be the same person, and Keefe wouldn’t even exist. Fitz wouldn’t be a slightly arrogant and anger filled Vacker, and Keefe wouldn’t be an avoidant pushy unwilling “chosen one”.

So maybe the real answer is there flaws just make them human— wait no— elves— WAIT NO— well written book characters that the fandom can’t accept are well written book characters.

one thing abt Keeper that I'm shocked no one rlly talks about is how the Keeper crew and the neverseen main members low-key parallel eachother in different ways,

Like Tam & Linh w/ Ruy. All of them traumatized and hurt from the treatment of Exilium and Elvin Society. The humiliation forming a hard defense that comes when they feel stinging again.

Maruca & Alvar are both motivated by family whether it be love or hatred. Both want to valued more, Maruca wanting to help more, knowing the hurt her family went through & Alvar wanting to destroy more after learning what his family has done.

Brant and Fitz and their unfiltered rage whenever someone hurts someone they love, its blinding. But it comes from the desire to help others, to find a answer thats been prolonged. They both hold this but one manages it and one basks in it.

Biana and Giesla, strong hardworking beautiful, yet majority of their lives were spent overshadowed by the men in their lives. Biana fought to be seen while Gisela stood down to downplayed. being underestimated was a constant for both of them.

Sophie and Trix being torn by the people they love, wanting to let out the frustrations, Their power is what makes people fear them and is prevents most from seeing whats underneath. People not only restrict their power but also their emotions causing them to slowly spiral into insanity and stress.

Fintan and Keefe are both desperate for something to fill the gaping hole in them, Fintan insane from the voices begging him for just one little spark while Keefe is begging for a voice, to guide him to assure him it'll be alright

Cannon Things In KOTLC People Seem To Forget:

Also me just being mad that people don't talk about something I love lol

- Sophie is SHORT. She is SMALL. Which also means Dex was even SHORTER in the first book or two.

- Biana feels left out and forgotten by her parents because of Fitz.

- Alvar was a glass child. Invisible, which is ironic considering his ability, but yeah. He was pretty much outshined by his siblings. (Probably gay to tbh.)

- Fitz has daddy issues and he's spoiled. Have you seen how Alden is with him? If I had a dad like that I'd have tantrums too. (Lucky me I got a pedo dad and an mostly absent mom... ✨ yay✨)

- Keefe is a year ahead of people his age, he's younger then Fitz too but is still second place in class ranking.

- Marella's mom had a head injury. She has brain damage. People don't talk about that enough.

- Sophie has crippling anxiety and self worth issues because of her up bringing. She was literally bullied and if that wasn't enough she had to hear what EVERYONE really thought about her. She is literally so brave and has incredible patience. (Y'all need to hop off my home girls ass, she's literally so fucking interesting.)

- Bronte has curly hair... WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THIS???

- Everyone has british accents but crisper. (I always forget this when I read unless it's Fitz talking 💀)

- Cognat's are like married couples. (PRENTICE AND TIERGAN MAN— GET TOGETHER ASDNJSJD)

- There are a lot of blond haired characters. Like... a lot.

- Stina is a tall girl with curly hair and is so pretty.

- Dex, Lex, Bex, Rex, and Kesler are RED. HEADS. GOD DAMNIT. STOP MAKING THEM BLOND.

- Edaline and Julien are sisters. I feel like we don't talk enough about that and we don't see enough of them being sisters.

- Most of the adults are manipulative, even the good ones. Edaline and Kesler are like the two safest options in the series.

- Ro cares a lot about Keefe (it's buried deep but it's there.)

One thing we as a society need to talk about more is the fact that elves only wanting one kid/not twins is super messed up and also extremely stupid.

The reasoning is the fact that the firstborns have the best genetics but this has been disproven. By Fitz being a telepath while Alvar a vanisher, and Tam and Lin being a Hydrokinetic and SHade. Thses are the ones that came in my head but like for the millenniums Elvin society has existed no one thought that MAYBE having more then one kid wasn't so bad. Like its not like the Songs and Vackers were the first and only siblings in Elvin society. In conclusion Elves are stupid
