An old Tales of Symphonia scene I’ve had in my head for over a decade.

Kratos, unsure if he should act on his feelings for Anna, seeing as he’s an immortal 4000 old guy, and she’s just a regular human, asks Yuan a ‘hypothetical’ question:

Had Yuan known he was going to outlive Martel for so long, that he knew she would be taken from him far too soon, would he still love her knowing that the pain would be inevitable?

Yuan pauses for a moment, thinking it over before answering that while the pain of losing was great, it was far outweighed by the brief period of happiness they both shared. And that he would do it all again, even knowing how her death would effect the world.

Kratos thanks him and walks off. Yuan is puzzled as he watches him leave. Both by this strange question, and the effect his answer has on his friend. There seems to be a heavy burden suddenly taken off of him.

My latest and most complicated GIF yet

I had wanted this to be for Krannaweek for the Affection Prompt (busy with college)

So just a simple Kranna watching fireflies (which was totally *simple* having to plan out draft and draw in each of them and their movement along with the rest of the piece lol)

The affection part is where kratos reaches and holds Anna’s hand while she is fascinated with the glowing bugs before summer ends.

She blushes as it’s him for initiating the handholding. I like to think that especially in the beginning of their relationship she was the one to usually start the affectionate stuff.

Oh my gosh, both of these are great ships. Thank you for the ask!

For Kratos and Yuan:

These guys have known each other for 4,000 years. I would be shocked if they didn't have sex at least once. I think the implication is that they were once close friends (and perhaps had a sweet romance) but now they are bitter enemies. They've gone through so much awful shit and done so many terrible things that it's ruined their relationship. I still think they care deeply for one another.

For Kratos and Anna:

Poor Kratos and Anna's relationship. The reason why I said "there's no way this will end well" is because I think that it was doomed to end in tragedy. Kratos had so many enemies and a really extensive past AND his lover had the Angelus Project. I think no matter what Kratos did, it would be nearly impossible for him to keep his family safe. However, I love to imagine an alternate universe where Anna survived and Lloyd got to be raised by Kratos and Anna in Iselia. I think that would be my dream outcome, and I would love for all three of them to have a nice life after all the suffering they've endured.

Side note: I love the way some fanfiction authors have characterized and written Anna despite her never appearing in the game at all. Shoutout to nolandsman on Ao3 for writing my favorite version of Anna (and some of the best fanfictions I've ever read).

Was thinking about trans Kratos (because that has been a persistent HC since I first played) and the implications of this for his years with Anna. With him being the one who carried Lloyd, I feel like this would raise the stakes during those months, especially with him likely being the one protecting her and putting himself in danger. More over, at some some point maybe not being able to...

I think maybe somewhere halfway through it would be cute if she pressured him into teaching her how to wield a sword and use ares, eventually becoming the main protector for idk like like 3 months before and maybe a few after Lloyd was born?

Additionally, these skills would come in handy as a tool to make her stubborn husband actually rest. Do not tempt a caring woman who would not hesitate to (lovingly) point at blade at him if he was on his feet more than the doctor recommended 😇

This also implies trans Anna which is super valid and I love that for her.

Looking for a beta reader

I'm working on a Kratos x Anna fic that kind of got away with me and now I have 26 pages of writing down.

I'm nowhere near a finished product, but I'll probably have something readable in about a week? Maybe 2 weeks?

It's about how those two met, and how they ended up travelling together. They definitely annoyed the hell out of each other at first. :)

The story starts at the Asgard Human Ranch and ends at the memory Kratos and Lloyd are trapped in as of my other fic "Wrap me in gold, Crown me in chains". I felt like I haven't been able to convey the relationship between Kratos and Anna as much as I wanted to and Lo and Behold... I apparently had like 10k words to say about it.

It's mostly canon compliant, somehow.

Colloyd Week 2023 Day 7: Free Day

What I was actually working on for the past two months! Colloyd amigurumis! I'm also not much of a photographer so I apologize for the picture quality.

His gloves come off. I might retry his hair someday (for a more Lloyd-like feel) when I get more practice making dolls.

Colette's vest and dress comes off if you cut a few strategic stitches, I wanted to to lay a bit better so I sewed it on.

A sudden departure from my usual DMC fanfics, but one two decades in the making. Spoilers for Tales of Symphonia

Yuan shuffled his reports, blinking twice before realizing that despite him reading the last six pages Botta had sent him, he couldn’t remember a single sentence.  He sighed, pinched the bridge of his nose, and leaned back in his chair out of exhaustion and exasperation.  The tension in Derris-Kharlan was becoming unbearable, and the only reason he stayed was because he needed to be the inside man for his Renegades.  

That, and the fact if he left, there was the risk of drawing suspicion with his sudden disappearance.  It had been three months since Kvar’s crowning jewel, the Angelus project, had escaped.  And it wasn’t just a run of the mill prison break, there was absolutely no evidence pointing who did this.  The surveillance recordings: deleted.  The guards: silently and efficiently executed. One moment the prisoner was there, locked securely in her cell, the next moment, gone.  It HAD to be an inside job.
