I'm probably the only one who doesn't want a Trollhunters' sequel (actually, a remake). I would hate it.

It just takes ALL the character development that has happened across all the story and shoves it in the trash. It's simply terrible. Character development happens when a character fails at something. Bonds are formed when hardships occur. People become stronger after difficult situations. Not to mention, the good and unlikely events that happened will be altered or not happen at all. Jim going back in time might as well make things way worse than it already is. Having lost someone or something and learning to deal with that is an extremly powerful and relevant message that could've been a perfect way to end the story but no, they had to ruin it.

All of this combined with the fact that the characters we love and grow attached to through their hardships have had all of those events stripped from their experience.

Nothing is gonna be the same. A remake would be terrible.

Let's be real. Why Blinky or Draal should care about Jim as they did in the old timeline? Toby is the Trollhunter now. Draal and Blinky cared about Toby and Claire, yes, but the relationship with Jim was far superior. Jim was literally Blinky's son. Draal was Jim's protector. Meh even Arrrghh's relationship with Toby is not gonna be the same.

Not even Steve and Eli, probably. In the new timeline Jim doesn’t help Eli by standing up to Steve like he did in Trollhunters. He just lets it happen. As i've said in another post, JIM PLANTED THE SEEDS FOR STEVE’S REDEMPTION. Steve's redemption was fueled by Steve’s obsession with Jim after he gets called out and punched. And the movie ending ignored this part -.-

I don't want a sequel because all this is gone

I'm not even sure if we are gonna see NotEnrique again...

And, sorry, i don't want a new series with Toby as the Trollhunter and Jim the "side kick". What Jim should be? The Warhammer? Ugh. The amulet belongs to him. And Claire? She's gonna get the shadow staff again? She's gonna have the same development? No.

Not even Douxie, Aja and Krell are gonna be the same.

Also Toby can't beat any villain and he's an awful leader but let's not talk about this

It's just so wrong. Years of character and story development wasted….

I will despise ROTT till the end of time. As such, the only way for me to get peace of mind is to ignore it and enjoy the parts of the series that made me fall in love with it in the first place.

I just binged Trollhunters, 3Below, Wizards & Rise of the Titans and I am broken. That ending. 6 seasons and a movie later, I am broken.

Rise of the Titans better get a sequel or something cos I am not ready to accept what just happened 😂

Side note: Krel is everything and ofc he winds up a forgotten underappreciated character because apparently they're the only ones I can obsess over.

Ok, it’s been a couple of days since I watched Rise Of the Titans, and while I still don’t fully like the ending, I think there’s more to it then we realize.

Hear me out:

What if Jim doesn’t get the Amulet of Daylight in the alternate timeline because he still has the Akiridion Amulet. The Amulet of Daylight senses that Jim doesn’t need it so it calls out to its second choice: Toby.

Jim is technically still the Trollhunter. He’s just not Merlin’s trollhunter anymore. Maybe he’s his own trollhunter now? I don’t fully know yet.

Jim didn’t change the timeline to shift all the responsibilities onto Toby! He created a timeline where they’re BOTH the Trollhunter!

And Jim most likely uses the knowledge from the first timeline to prevent certain character deaths and gain allies such as Strickler and Nomura earlier than before.

Aja and Krel coming to earth isn’t exclusively linked to the events of Trollhunters, so their stories will still unfold, including Staja’s love story.

Am I saying that I like the ending now? No. I still think it ruins some of the emotions behind certain character deaths and it did feel a little like the writers took the easy way out. And if anyone out there is creating a hashtag or petition for a rewritten ending, I’m 100% on board.

However, I think I understand the ending a little better now and if this ending remains canon no matter what we do, I’ll have an easier time moving on.

But these are just my thought. What do you guys think?

This is so important to me.

Jim is the new Arthur. Douxie is the new Merlin. And Claire is the new Morgana. The better version of them.

This post is also for the people pissed off about Jim getting Excalibur.

Why? 😭 JIM IS WORTHY OF EXCALIBUR.

He's brave. He has heart. He's compassionate. He's always trying to do the right thing. He has leadership skills. He's a great fighter and a great swordsman. He sacrificed himself over and over again. He's THE trollhunter.

Excalibur is his destiny. The 9th configuration is Jim's round table.

Everyone has their own fighting style. Giving Excalibur to anyone else makes no sense.

You know I actually want for the protagonist of Wizards to have a rocky relationship with his/her parents. So far all the protagonist have a stable relationship with their parents and don’t come and tell me Claire and her mother because that wasn’t really explore and Jim doesn’t care about his father.
