Of all the legends of the Imperium, one of the strangest is that of the Legion of the Damned. For those who know where to look, there are many corroborated accounts of these otherworldly warriors, their unexpected appearances upon a desperate battlefield, and their sudden and inexplicable disappearance at the battle's end.
Inquisitor D. Merloriac, Ordo Chronos
Never before or since have I seen fighting such as I witnessed when that host fell upon the Orks. Seizing the moment, I regrouped my company and led them once more into the fray, yet there was little work for us, for the Greenskins lacked stomach for the fight. Soon we secured the great bastion once more and without further loss. Of the dark brotherhood, there was no sign.
Witness Report by Varro Tigurius, Chief Librarian Ultramarines Chapter
They warrant further investigation, that much is certain. Their modus operandi bears similarities to that of... certain individuals we consider of extreme importance. It is not unheard of for those... lost to history to appear in a state that bears little relation to their original appearance. Given postmortem Auspex readings it is clear they have advanced telekinetic capacity, presumably psychic in origin. Upon stasis capture, I recommend extensive questioning within a quarantined null zone, performed by gifted Interrogator-Chaplains still attired in full battle plate.
Brother Amadeos of the Dark Angels Chapter's Elite 1st Company, the Deathwing
I personally believe them to be Warp-tainted, and therefore in need of the purging flame. But while they fight as allies of the Imperium, whilst they bring destruction to the foes of Mankind, well; their destruction remain a low priority - for me at least.
Brother Kargos, Knights of the Flame Chapter

The Legion of the Damned is that meme that goes "when you die, your skeleton is drafted into the Skeleton War"

It's weird having gotten into an argument on Reddit regarding the DnA years of the Reboot LSH's quality. While yes it's not exactly perfect there are a bunch of plot points mentioned & dropped (anyone remember the Jo Tinya & Imra debacle? Or Cub's age problem?) & some creative choices I was never happy with (Kinetix) But otherwise The era kicked ass. While I love the Archie years they were becoming a bit stagnant in it last year of story with Elements of Disaster being alright & the Rock of Eternity story was just....bad. Legion of The Damned was the necessary shaking of the status quo introducing a great set of Villains in the Blight & bringing the Legion to a low point that we want to see crawl out of. Legion Lost was a bold direction for the team, Gave us an interesting redux of Dawnstar in Shikari, The best Wildfire design, Carrying over Umbra's arc, & poignancy with Jan's turn into the Peogenitor than most villain turns. Legion Worlds being a good insight on what happened to everyone else & setting up for the ongoing with The Legion providing the epic scope of stories.
I also don't get the "dystopian" people claim came from that era. Yeah the Blight messed up Earth & destroyed the Space highway but within a year Society seemed to just pick itself up again fine & dandy. It's not like 5YL where there was a cavalcade of crap that happened that turned the 31st Century into hell. The DnA era was more about going for these big event like stories & Earth & the Universe still stood at the end & The Legion were far more triumphant in all the endeavors during this era & never really lost hope. That sure doesn't seem very dystopian to me.

Finally finished the second half of my mixed marines minis project where i built a box of intercessors as different chapters of space marine
This batch included some more experiments with greenstuff and kitbashing. Can't say i love how they all turned out, but it was a fun experiment and good practice at least. Here's a deathwatch guy
A space wolf. Enjoyed doing the freehanding knee thing. Also I've been experimenting with snow bases and enjoying how this is shaping up
Legion of the damned. Probably technically needs more flame decals on the armor or something but i was working off memory and forgot what they were probably supposed to look like. Regardless, the greenstuff flame effects don't look half bad
Here's where we get into some more unique concepts. This ones a late holidays gift for my ork-playing friend. Happy with how it turned out, for sure
And a gift for my tau-playing friend. Honestly this one probably could've done with some extra sculpting work, but i was just working off of bits i stole from his last kit he built, and didn't really have a ton of bits to go off
There's also another one but that ones a late holiday gift for a friend who i know follows me on here so I'm gonna keep that one a secret
