SPOILERS ABOUT ALHAITHAM GAMEPLAY LEAKS‼️‼️‼️ SCROLL IF YOU DON’T WANNA KNOW‼️‼️

I just wanna say that Alhaitham stans who are taking criticisms of his gameplay and kit personally are being incredibly over dramatic.

Like some of y’all are really acting like this is the same as past experiences in the genshin fandom where characters were unfairly bashed prior to their releases—it’s not. People criticizing and making fun of his gameplay are doing so because it is at first glance an obvious copy paste of Keqing’s. And y’all keep bringing up similarities between other characters. Yes other characters like Yelan and Xingqui, or Ganyu and Layla, have similarities—but their stars, weapons, roles, abilities all vary which is why making comparisons between them and Alhaitham’s situation is dumb.

Yeah it’s just beta so things may change but be fr—they never make changes to the ENTIRE kit. They’re not gonna erase his burst animations or change his skill because they suddenly realized players are fed up with constant similarities between characters.

Like y’all will settle for anything at this point—hoyoverse could literally slap on him an identical skin to diluc and y’all will still defend it as if it’s not hoyo being incredibly lazy and unoriginal. People who aren’t happy about it aren’t being hateful for the sake of being hateful rather they’re fed up with the same repetitive designs hoyo has been putting out. It’s immensely stupid of you guys to think that this is most people’s attempt at ‘slandering’ Alhaitham when that’s literally not true. And the idiotic shit y’all say like ‘oh just don’t pull for him if you don’t like it😒’ as if that changes the fact that he’s still a copy paste Dendro version of Keqing in so many aspects. And fans are rightfully irritated—he was a hyped up character so yeah no shit they’d expect his gameplay to be entirely unique especially since he’s been repeatedly implied to be an important mysterious person, yet that doesn’t show with his unoriginal kit. Y’all can settle for the unoriginal designs all you want—don’t go bashing the rest of us for having higher expectations from a multi million dollar company

xingqiu writes in-universe RPF about Rex Lapis under an alias, and gets into multi-page heated arguments in the comments with keqing (also commenting anonymously) about the characterization in the middle of which is user TartagliaLapis asking if he takes character x reader commissions. xiao went to the AO3 message board or whatever in the dead of night when no one can see him to read the rex lapis fanfiction then he adds another comment like "Rex Lapis would not fucking say that"

zhongli and baizhu play mahjong together with old grandmas at 5 in the morning #enrichment

the first time that zhongli painstakingly made almond tofu for xiao he didnt even eat it because he was like Rex Lapis Made This For Me. I Must Treasure This Forever And Preserve His Culinary Creation For All Of Eternity. and he put it in like one of those glass cases you put anime figures in. next time zhongli visited him he was like Oh dear... was the almond tofu not to your liking? Im sorry :( and xiao almost kills himself right then and there but hes like No my lord it was delicious and perfect like everything you do and he smashes the case open and shoves the entire plate in his mouth and swallows it in one go and starts gagging and choking because he didnt even chew and probably swallowed some glass too and then he faints and wakes up in baizhus office and hes like wtf happened then he sees zhongli waiting by his bedside looking worried and he remembers what he just did and passes out again from the sheer embarrassment

Prompt: you were saving up primogems to roll on the new banner Kamisato Ayaka you had everything ready all the primogems ready and you had guarantee you couldn’t wait and Ayaka could t wait ethier last time was her brothers time to get pulled and now it’s her time she could barely contain herself she’s been waiting forever sonce 2.1 for this moment but she did t get pulled… instead it was Kazuha?! She was fuming she was going to show you a piece of her mind This is my first time writting a sagau lol I’m basing this off of other sagaus where there’s like a festival where all the characters wait and see if they get pulled Ayaka was at the shrine waiting in anticipation like everyone else they where seated there was all the four stared Amber,Kaeya,Fischil,Xiangling, and all the 5/stars keqing,Mona,venti,Zhongli, everyone wa at here looking at the sky looking for their constellation with Aether and lumine as the announcers as they announced as Ayaka waited bouncing in excitement with her brother smiling at her”yay I’ll finally be selected by the creator!” Ayaka said as Ayato only said yes you will Ever since you lost to Qiqi on her last banner she’s been really sad ever since she’s been going to your shrine every time you log she’ll head to the shrine in her room and pray that you’ll pull her once her banner comes back to now it was finally happening! She thought as she watched the blue stars fall and some purple stars as she heard some people cheer until she saw a yellow star fall… The crowd held their breath waiting for the character to be picked as a light descended on one of them… it was Kazuha as the light fell on kazuha he smiled as everyone clapped everyone expect Ayaka she was disappointed that you didn’t pull her banner but Kazuha and she was angry at the same time she still believed in you you where her creator after all there’s no way she could hate you then what’s this feeling in her that makes her want to…get her revenge The next day when you would get on she would set something at the area where you logged off which was coincidentally in front of Kamisato Estate she set up a trap where when you logged in your would be hit by a swinging boulder knocking you out then she would drag you to somewhere where you will never ever be able to rol someone again she will literally make you roll her constellations till you get 6 copies of her and upgrade her to C6 she thought as laughed behind her fan at what she would do The next day when you logged on you would be greeted by a big rock being swung at you before you dodge you got knocked out creating a big bruise on your forehead as Ayaka came out of the shawdows laughing with her fan at her mouth”oh my why is the dear creator right here is he/she alright?” She said as she carried your body which would technically be aethers body to her room there already was a chair prepared for you with ropes ready for you as she put you in the chair and put you in it as you started to wake up there you saw Ayaka strapping you in a chair as yiu started to wake up”wh-what! Ayaka what are you doing?!” You siad as you saw finish strapping you to the chair”you know why I’m doing this darling think of yesterday that you skipped my banner for that Canadian Aether(lolololol) as you said”Wha-what you’re mad about that? ❤️What is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?

This is a tough one, just because I kind of forget what I've written sometimes lol!

But I do still really like this line from Resolute: "She hesitates, her feet rooted to the ground, wondering what else she should offer Ganyu, besides, you know, her whole heart."

I think it captures the earnest nature of Keqing very well. And it's just such a nice sweet line.

👻 What is your wildest headcanon?

I'm pretty boring. I don't have many, if any, outlandish headcanons, and if I have any that seem to be, they do a have a basis in canon if you squint and I talk fast enough lol.

I do have a lot of Opinions on adepti and illuminated beasts and how that all works and relates to each other and everything else, but that's mostly me trying to order it in a way that makes sense to me, personally.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

I think... Keqing. And I'm really not sure why. I think she's more consistently portrayed in canon than Ganyu is, and yet she seems to be mischaracterized more than Ganyu in fan works somehow. If I had to guess, I think it's because while Ganyu has a lot of depth as a character, Keqing is more complicated. And it's easy to focus on only a few of her characteristics and forget the rest, or downplay the growth she's gone through, but then that ends up falling short of her character as a whole. It's a balancing act, I think, to get either of them to 'feel' right. I'm still working on it. But I find Keqing harder to get into the right headspace to write for. Maybe that means I need to write more Keqing-centric fics lol

💭 What inspires you and your writing?

The thing about inspiration is it comes from everywhere. I strongly believe that we are all made up by little bits of everything we've seen, felt, heard, experienced, etc. I'm just as inspired by a book I read as I am by a conversation with a friend, as a reddit thread or a piece of fanart. And I have a wip to show as an example of each of those lol!

And I think it's great to draw inspiration from many sources! But it's important to know when the 'inspiration' is leaning to far into the territory of becoming derivative or downright copying. And I have a lot of thoughts (and fears) about that, but I won't bore you with them lol

Suffice it to say, I take inspiration from wherever I can, and literally anything can inspire me if I'm open to it.

💡How many WIPs do you currently have?

Far too many :(

I don't even have an accurate count anymore since I've moved away from writing on gdocs. A rough estimate would be somewhere in the neighbourhood of 15-20, and they vary from a few lines to completed outlines to 30K+ words of half finished rough drafts.

I write waaaay to slowly T-T

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

If anyone wanted to make fanart of anything I've written, I would be beyond flattered. I would absolutely not be picky about what fic or what scene lol

But, gun to my head, I'd go with something from Must Love Cats. Maybe Ganyu wrestling with Onyx LMAO

ii lisa: loves dates at the library and at the bookstore! I mean what do u expect, she's a librarian! she loves spoiling you with books!! SHE IS SO HOT LORDD

iii rosaria: when she isn't working or doing errands, she loves taking you out on dates near the edges of mountains whenever it's cold. she loves making you a mini bouquet with flowers she picks while you and she are walking (MARRY ME OMFG)

vii ningguang: she takes you out on a super fancy dinner at a super fancy restaurant, cause she loves spoiling you with food and gifts and so many other items. she buys those fancy and expensive wines after you guys are done with your dinner!

viii beidou: def would take you out on a boat date as the beach, I mean she is a pirate! you love the smell of the ocean and the cool wind on your face. and her in a bikini!!! u just wanna smooch her lips cause she so hot

ix yanfei: library date like lisa! you and she like books a lot, and it's even better when you're in a building with thousands of books in it! you guys would be the type of people to take those couple photos that everyone finds on pinterest (｡╯︵╰｡)

x keqing: she just loves chilling with you at home! she also loves baking. therefore you and her would bake some macarons together, or make ice cream together frequently cause you and keqing are sweet tooth's (´꒳`)

xi ganyu: she would take you to a rock climbing center! irdk I just feel like she would like rock climbing (and seeing you scared for your life)! she also loves taking photos of you and sets it as her wallpaper (this is so adorable help me)

xii yoimiya: takes you out to watch the stars at night! and she surprises you with fireworks that make a heart shape and says the first ily (T_T) crying rn

xiii kokomi: cat cafe date definitely! she knows how much you love cats, furthermore she loves taking you there! she would get you a lot of sweet treats and cat-shaped sandwiches!! kokomi would take photos of you with the cats, and hang it up on her fridge (mom :(( I want this one)

xiv ei: basically another version on ningguang! takes you out to some high-class restaurant and gets you some expensive stake or some shii! she loves spoiling you with literally anything, like expensive diamond jewelry or high-class wine!

genshin characters + video games headcanons

prompt: what video games the genshin characters would play warnings: ???? uhhhh just mentions of typical toxic video game culture i guess LOL characters: literally every playable character a/n: not much to say so here are some songs i listened to while writing: black pearl by sunmi, the winner takes it all by abba, la vie en rose by iz*one. anyways these headcanons were debated upon in a gc of my friends. sorry if u disagree w/ any of these jkdsfdkjkd

albedo would play slime rancher. 100%. he likes how you can combine the slimes to make new ones and how it has a bit of a science-y aspect. it’s calm while still entertaining. he definitely has multiple different worlds where he collects different slimes. he’s very into it.

amber plays animal crossing and is SUPER into it with the cute nice ACNH island. will get excited when she finds out someone new is playing it and give them materials to help them get started on their island.

barbara and xinyan play osu together. xinyan is likely the one that gets barbara into it and they get carpal tunnel together <3

beidou doesn’t play video games much, but will play as rosalina in mariokart. she’s not the best but she’s got the spirit!

bennett is a fortnite kid. bennett sweetie i’m so sorry but #1 victory royale yeah fortnite we boutta get down, ten kills on the board right now just wiped out tomato town

childe plays call of duty and takes it way too seriously. probably also plays pubg. will fight with people over voice comms but also yells at the people who are misogynistic. probably moans into the mic when people accuse him of being a white knight.

chongyun plays smash. somehow has all the combos memorized. he doesn’t talk when playing either and sits there eerily calm.

diluc plays league of legends. probably a jungle main. kaeya plays a game with him once and diluc refuses to tell kaeya how to play and also refuses to gank his lane. diluc blames kaeya when they lose.

diona also plays league of legends. is the toxic yasuo player that goes 0/10 and flames you. has probably been banned 3 times for toxicity.

fischl is an undertale kid. insists her eye underneath her eyepatch glows blue like sans’ eye but refuses to take it off to prove it. bennett believes her but nobody else does.

ganyu plays the sims. she likes making sure everyone is ok and plays it in a nice, calming manner. it lets her feel efficient.

hu tao LOVES horror games but also probably plays animal crossing. she definitely laughs at jump scares. will definitely play animal crossing with amber although hu tao’s island isnt nearly as organized as amber’s. hu tao likes the messiness of her island which is a whole mood.

jean plays call of duty. is silent the entire time and only comes on the mic at the end of the game to be like “good game, guys!” if she senses a misogynist in her presence.

kaeya plays splatoon. idk anything about splatoon the gc just told me that he would play splatoon so it’s probably a game for cool ppl. probably also cries while playing undertale because he relates too hard with whole “your actions have consequences” thing it does lol idk but its a mood.

keqing says she has better things to do than play video games but has a soft spot in her heart for pokemon. it reminds her of when she was younger and she had less to do. probably plays pokemon go because she feels like she’s still efficient while playing it.

klee has a copy of grand theft auto. yes, she plays it exactly how you think she would play it.

lisa plays league of legends and is a support main. will vehemently deny it if you ask her but she rlly likes how u have to calculate what each item does and stuff! lisa’s a smart girl so she likes having to actively predict the actions of others

mona 100% plays the sims but does so in a chaotic way. probably uses it to get out her stress by creating sims of the people she doesn’t like and giving them questionable lives.

ningguang probably knows how to play smash. plays as zero suit samus or the wii fit trainer. refuses to play as any male characters except for pikachu, kirby, and yoshi.

noelle probably plays uhhh breath of the wild. she just seems like she would like the open world stuff and being able to roam around and stuff.

qiqi plays toca boca games with klee. due to her memory, qiqi probably sticks to simple games, but klee has no problems with showing her friend how to play games again, no matter how many times it takes!

razor has an old busted DS in which he plays pokemon. probably also likes nintendogs. is super serious about taking good care of his dog friends.

sucrose plays overwatch. she is a mercy or a d.va main.

venti plays exclusively mariokart. however, if placed in the vicinity of a real car, venti loses all capable thought and cannot drive. plays as cat peach for the meme.

xiangling plays cooking mama and overcooked. she loves cooking games. if you’re over at xiangling’s, chances are she’s making you play overcooked with her.

xingqiu doesn’t play video games. he’s bad at them. will play smash with chongyun but only knows how to play kirby. will down-b over and over.

xinyan loves music games. probably invented guitar hero and rock band. will play two instruments at once if playing rock band along with singing. one woman band.

xiao plays call of duty. encounters childe who teases him so badly that xiao swats childe. the fatui show up at childe’s place in which childe taunts xiao with the fact that childe is the police. the two somehow end up on each others friends list and continuing to play with each other. for xiao, its because he has unsettled beef with childe. for childe, its because he thinks xiao’s anger is hilarious.

zhongli shocks everyone when he reveals that yes, he plays video games. if you go on his steam account, he has many different games, but only one has 500+ hours. it’s civ 6. zhongli says it “reminds him of the good old days”. nobody knows what that means, but zhongli does as he’s all too familiar with building actual civilizations from the ground up.
