Could I get a bot!reader/Soundwave one? Maybe something angsty where reader is leaving the Cons for the Bots? (I'm fine if you wanna do Bots -> Cons instead)

This is the reader basically talking to Soundwave about leaving the decepticons. I think it would take a lot of trust between them to even talk about something like that, and breaking that trust, mmmmm angst. (Conjunx is like a bonded life partner for cybertronians, soulmates or something similar) I might want to make a part two to this tbh, something angsty too

You were hovering around Soundwave as he worked. He was supposed to come to your habsuite ages ago, so you’d come looking for him when he didn’t show up. You couldn’t seem to pry him away from his work, but that was nothing new. Soundwave recharged rarely, but you knew it had been a while since the last time, so he needed his rest, he ahd been working nonstop for days again.

“Waveyyyyy, come on” you whined, grabbing him by his waist, trying to drag him away from the computer.

He was too big for you to drag when he resisted you, so you had no choice but to keep whining at him.

“I need to talk to you before you recharge, so move your aft towards my habsuite” you groaned while motioning towards the door of the command center furiously.

There was no one else there, but you wanted to talk to him without having to fear someone walking in on you, or overhearing you.

“You can speak to me now”

“No, I can’t” you stressed your reluctance.

“Fine” Soundwave sighed, closing whatever it was that he was working on.

Soundwave grabbed your hand and laced his digits with yours, as you started walking to your habsuite. You were nervous about what you wanted to talk to him about. You’d made your mind up days ago, but you needed to tell him. You just needed to convince him to come with you. You needed to at least try.

You made Soundwave sit down on your berth, while you ended up pacing back and forth in front of him.

“What did you want to speak to me about?” Soundwave asked a small smile growing behind his visor as he watched you pace in front of him.

“Well, you see…” you trailed off.

“Yes?”

“I want to leave the decepticons and I want you to come with me” you didn’t even realize what you had said before the words had already left your mouth.

You swiftly covered your mouth with your hands, as if you could stop yourself from saying the words that were already hanging in the air between the two of you.

“Why?” was all Soundwave could say as the smile died on his lips.

There were a million questions going through his mind, but all he could get out was: “Why?”. That was the only question that really mattered. Why would you betray him like this? Why would you break his spark like this? Why would you leave the cause you had always believed in? For Primus’ sake you were his conjunx, how could you do this to him?

“I don’t like what the decepticons have become, what I’ve become. Especially after we came to earth. It was different when it was just our planet, just us cybertronians warring amongst ourselves, but now that Megatron has dragged a whole other planet and its people into it, I don’t want to be a part of it anymore, any of it” you explained.

“I see” Soundwave had to force the words from his mouth.

“So you understand?” you asked, stepping close to him and placing a hand on his shoulder.

“No! I absolutely do not. How could you do this to me, to us? How could you put me in this situation?” Soundwave hissed and stood up, starting to pace around the room.

"I wanted to be honest with you. I thought you’d at least understand where I’m coming from, even if… even if you didn’t want to go with me” you said.

“You were going to leave me anyway?” Soundwave asked, barely disguising the anger in his voice as you could feel his stare even through his visor.

“I don’t want to leave you, but I also need to be able to live with myself” you argued back.

“I can’t let you leave” Soundwave muttered, barely audible to you.

He knew what would happen if you deserted the decepticons. You would be hunted down and killed, and the mission would most likely be given to him. He couldn’t bear the thought of you dying, so he made a decision. No matter how angry he was with you now, he wouldn’t let you die, not now and not in the future. He would give you up, he would tell Megatron that you wanted to leave. He would hope that he could convince the warlord to just lock you up and “re-educate” you. It wasn’t a good plan, and he would gamble on a lot, but it was the plan with the highest chance of keeping you alive and still within his reach.

“What?” you asked, not sure if you’d heard him correctly.

“I can’t let you leave” Soundwave repeated a bit louder.

Even if he wouldn’t come with you, you were sure he would have let you leave without a fight.

“I don’t want to fight you” you said.

“You won’t have to” Soundwave said, sounding pained.

Before you knew it, you were falling. You could see him as you fell to the floor. Just before it all went dark, and you could’ve sworn you heard an echo of the words “I’m sorry” but it didn’t mean anything to you now. He hadn’t loved you enough to let you go after all.

Shockwave is definitely unaware. Imagine if he knew Megatron was a dragon, he'd be beating down his door to conjunx him.

Yes, Predaking revealing he can transform is definitely something that can risk Megatron's status. The infiltration Predacons are probably considered an urban myth.

But maybe one day he's like, taking my predacon for a mission see ya later. And once they've gotten away, he transforms into his dragon form and back and probably blows poor Predaking's mind. Megatron tells him not to fuck this up for him, and they leave.

There are some consequences, though. Predaking suddenly feels an increased need to groom himself and show off, and annoyed at his shenanigans, Megatron drags him off again and kicks his ass.

Megatron is smaller than Predaking, but he won? Predaking finds it very confusing.

And if he had the words, he'd say he had a crush.

Maybe he should build a nest and show off skills? Where is the guide for wooing a Predacon?

I can totally see them being treated as a myth too, which works out well for them (the myth part). After all, there's likely reasons they prefer to keep hidden

Wait YES on him dragging Predaking on a solo mission to do the "so I'm a Predacon too, and you have more potential than you expect" thing. After all, he's noticed Predaking's curiosity growing day by day.

The mission so to speak was supposedly to track down some autobot activity

Predaking is in for the absolute shock of his life, but the best one yet

Mmmmm. Consequences.

I like the idea that the courting stuff isn't very if at all instinctual for Predaking because it gives us the hilarious option of Preddie doing as much research on the courting and pre mating habits of various races / species across the galaxy, including on Cybertron in general, earth animals, and human romcoms. After all, at least one of these has to be right, right?

My NOTP for them: oh my god a lot of them. probably pyrop though ive just literally never seen a pair of people with less romantic chemistry. this is probably because i dont like optimus prime very much but its hard to find romantic contexts in which i enjoy him.

My BROTP for them: well i like it when hes nice to bumblebee but i also like imagining a time where (idw1) he had a better relationship with prowl. i also really enjoy g1 optimus especially when he interacts with jazz, and i love tfa optimus and sari best friends 4evar.

But I forgot to put in rodimegs which I honestly can’t stand. And I don’t mean this in a hateful way, but I just don’t understand how come Prowl/Jazz is so popular???? Is there something I’m missing?????I’d get it if it were because of Animated, but most of this ship’s content seem to be for the G1 family of continuities and I just don’t seem to find anything that would make them the most popular ship in the fandom.

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

I unfollow anyone who give Optimus/Orion the uwu treatment, I have even blocked people ove that. I take psych damage every time I see that shit, I probably get upset over this way more than I should but

Also, I don’t mind people being salty on main, but when they seem to get mad at people over things that make no sense and actively think bad of others for it I do unfollow. Like all those people who say megastar shipper romanticize abuse or w/e, I don’t even like that ship, but those guys are tiresome.

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

Mmmmm some in non-TF fandoms I guess, for TF, I wouldn’t exactly say ruined, but most of what I’ve seen of tfa megop has made me very picky with it and I don’t get as exited for it as I once did.

I mean, despite the usual uwu treatment, Optimus insecurties tend to be overplayed and he becomes a very passive character that has things happen to him, ignoring that he’s very snarky, passive-agressive and decisive. They also overplay Magnus being mean to him and Optimus agency. Meanwhile Megatron is just some generic suave love interest from some romance novel.

are there any characters that have caught your eye recently that you're thinking of bringing to denny? any plot ideas that you would like to bring to denny with them in mind?

okay i was waiting to answer this until i had a variety of options because i was coming up blank on new character ideas while i was still apping paige

but speaking of charmed! i have admittedly been VAGUELY tempted to try out drake just because i have always. ALWAYS had such a soft spot for him, and idk, i feel like i could do something really interesting with “former demon only has [x] long to live and wants to get the most out of his life and make sure he’s done something Good to be remembered by”. the one thing holding me back is that i really enjoy his friendship with paige, buuut. i love him. idk maybe if we ever got a phoebe. or maybe i’ll at least yolo him someday, who knows

i don’t know why, but i’ve also been lowkey tempted lately to get back into transformers and try out a character from that again?? i just. have the giant robot itch. i don’t know who i would try - i’ve always been really intimidated by the most iconic characters (megatron, optimus, soundwave...) - but i am considering trying to dive back into the comics again. the idea of rping mtmte megatron still intrigues me SO much, because i’ve done the whole redemption arc thing with different characters, but megs is... i mean, the things he’s done, he knows there’s no real balancing the scales for that. but tackling a character like him who is so complicated and horrifying and trying to do better anyways is... really really interesting to me. but again. SO. intimidating. i also fucking adore optimus and have always wanted to try him out, but i can never pick a continuity and somehow he intimidates me even more than megs

i was talking about this earlier today but i always go back and forth about being tempted to write god or joan from joan of arcadia! the show’s take on god is super super interesting and while i wouldn’t really be able to treat them as a traditional character i like the idea of them... basically doing what they do on the show, ie not really interfering with anything or judging anyone but, lowkey influencing people to be better and kinder and causing positive ripple effects. and joan is... i mean she’s one of the best teenage characters ever written imo, she’s so REALISTIC and so surly and so flawed and yet there’s something so powerful about her realizing the power very small and empathetic actions have in the world. i’m gushing now but yeah that’s always kind of been at the back of my mind

not gonna lIE, maybe it’s just because episode 9 is coming out soon and i’m getting super nostalgic but i’ve been considering... doing a star wars binge and trying leia again. ironically, the last time i fell into the franchise and apped her was when episode 7 was being promoted, so, yknow. bookends. but leia is my favorite and just, a very important character to me in general, i always love revisiting her. i just keep putting off rewatching some stuff because i’m like “no i want to wait til closer to the PREMIERE” but who knows when i’ll cave,

i’ve iiiidly thought about winter from rwby too! i’m not sure yet if i’d REALLY want to, and in any case if i did try her i’d wait til jay’s schedule wasn’t so hectic, but i am genuinely interested in the schnee family dynamics. too bad i missed whitley,

also my like. what would you call it. my “unhinged disaster women” itch can never fully be scratched, so i also sometimes think about trying characters like nikki swango from fargo or alice morgan from luther or jamie moriarty from elementary (who i’ve actually already tried) but ALL of those would require watching/rewatching stuff and as you can see i already have a ton on my plate! i swear though i’ve gotten so unapologetic about my love of just. watching women be feral and messy and every time i see a character like that im like MMMMM

hmmm what else... i’m replaying silent hill downpour right now, and i do as always really love murphy and anne. i don’t know if anything will come of that this time but i enjoy them

i saw you were watching supernatural and, ngl, i say i’ve put that show behind me, but i used to love love love ruby SO much and if you ever tried anyone from it. i might lose my self restraint. idk though that would require rewatching some supernatural. and also, can denny handle two rubys?,

and last but CERTAINLY not least, i keep listening to the mean girls musical soundtrack and thinking about trying regina george! who i’ve always thought would be fun to play but, you know, i had heather chandler for a while and i didn’t want to double up, and then after i dropped her i was like “well i don’t want to pick up such a similar character for a while” but my roster has been bitchy mean girl free for AWHILE now. so maybe one day.

thingsthey do together in their spare time: given their specific abilities,soundwave and ravage probably low-key gather information and keeptabs on everyone around them even in their spare time. but they dodefinitely try to relax, recounting missions when they were separate,hanging with the rest of the cassettes... ravage tends to be thesounding board for decepticon philosophy sessions, not that he minds.soundwave is also the sole person that ravage is 100% comfortableacting cat-like around – not even megatron is someone he completelyrelaxes around, though he’s definitely in second place – sosoundwave gets to put up with ravage draping himself on him andforcing him to stay still for fear of disturbing him, or casuallygetting in the way just to be obnoxious.

mycharacter’s general thoughts on yours/a relationship ramble:megatron might have been the leader the decepticons needed butsoundwave is more than a decepticon, more than a leader or lieutenantto ravage – he’s also, no matter how the war changed them,undeniably a good person. ravage took a chance to be kind to someonelost and suffering, and soundwave paid back that kindness and trust athousandfold. soundwave is, apart from the cause itself, theunwavering anchor to ravage’s life, the only home he has everneeded, and while he can no longer express the significance of theirbond in words alone, he doesn’t need to.

thingsthey do together in their spare time: they do some measure ofsparring bc if sasuke is involved, some kind of training isInevitable. but honestly they do a lot of chill stuff, trying outhobbies and hanging out and watching movies or planning parties –all the sorts of things that sasuke and ratchet had absolutely noexperience in, and that kara is... driven to try to give them.chances at what a normal life feels like, even when their lives willnever be any kind of normal.

waysmy character shows affection for yours: ratchet and kara arenaturally inclined to be affectionate already, even if ratchet’s onoccasion unsure or overwhelmed and needs some time to work throughsome sentiments. sasuke is... v touch-averse most of the time and hasjust been gradually getting more comfortable with expressingaffection at them – they know how rare it is, so him letting karatake his hand or clasping ratchet’s shoulder is an effective methodof showing he cares and is engaged that he knows they’ll value.it’s... really sappy. he also likes to encourage their banter bypurposefully exaggerating his own disdain or disinterest andteasingly shut down suggestions to then make them more determined todo it. by now they’ve probably caught on but it’s still justthis... fond habit he has

onerelationship bad end: mmmmm do I have to... but I guess like.okay sasuke does the whole reveal of the rinnegan and kara especiallytakes it... really harshly because of her history with being gaslitand lied to and the ensuing fight ends with sasuke leaving the team,both for her and ratchet to cool down and figure out how they feeland because he’s... guilt-ridden and angry with himself and wellaware that he has no excuse for this. that’s when a rift takes himback and kara and ratchet get to deal with both their v valid angerwith being lied to and deceived and the ensuing loss ofsomeone they loved. I hope you’re happy now!!!

mycharacter’s general thoughts on yours/a relationship ramble:sasuke... really fucking cares about these two. like kara is 100% theperson he trusts the most in denny’s world and he’s so gratefuland pretty damn bemused that he’s actually one of ratchet’sguardians, that ratchet looks to him as an example to follow. hequite often doesn’t feel he deserves the affection and trust theyshow him, because of how he’s treated his past teams, and there’sa lot of... parallels between naruto and sakura and kara and ratchet– ones he often draws and dwells upon a lot. ratchet and kara areundoubtedly good, warm people and he can’t help but compare himselfand feel how much he’s lacking, which is a particular hurdle thathe’s going to have to get over one day. until then tho, he valuesthem so much and wants to avoid past mistakes like... letting hisjealousy eat him up and make him do something he regrets. oh wait!!!
