Another Code, its sequel, Hotel Dusk, and Last Window are implied to take place in the same universe, but Another Code Recollection has dialogue that says Kyle Hyde is the name of a character in a novel and not a real person.
Kyle Hyde is the main character of Hotel Dusk and Last Window, so that dialogue implies that the games are in-universe novels.
In the original version of Another Code R there were cameos from several Hotel Dusk characters found in a photographer's house, I got to that point in Recollection
and found that the cameos were still there.
Top left, Jenny Smith
and her father Dunning Smith
Top right, Louis "Louie" DeNonno,
and Martin Summer
Bottom right is the captain from Another Code
and Rosa Fox from Hotel Dusk, who is implied to be his wife.
The bottom left photo is of Matthew Crusoe, his parents, and his sister, who are all from Another Code R and aren't cameos.
I'm not sure why they would keep the cameos while implying that they're fictional in-universe.
Formatting went off, asks do that,
Wonder what the odds the people that were making the in universe stories forgot to read the other stuff first.
Old school Star Wars EU stuff one of the rules for the authors was they had to keep characters the same in universe, if they'd died in one book you can't just bring them back.
Wish the more recent movies had stuck to that rule, then again we'd miss out on such oscar worthy lines as 'somehow palpitine survived'
Probably not a lot of different writers for the series though so might just be a boneheaded oversight for this one.
