Malevolent Prompt: Piano Playing/ Exploration

It was just going to be the moths and the piano, but then I decided it was too much brown and I needed to add some flowers. Soooo I added pink rosebuds- which symbolize girlhood, beauty, innocence- and baby’s breath. Iykyk. I’m a terrible person. Also I was just as traumatized by that plotline as everybody else.

Maltober Day 2: Books

To walk the stacks of Miskatonic’s special collections was to walk through a forest of ghosts. To do it day in and day out, without falling prey to their whispers was a skill partly innate and partly learned through years of service and more than one unfortunate slip-up.

A soft noise of curiosity interrupted him, and he turned in time to catch the man’s hand before it pulled a book free. 

“Ah, best not, Mister Carter,” he said gently.

“Sorry!” Roland tucked his hands into his pockets with a warm, if sheepish, huff of laughter. “Curiosity and cats, you know.”

“Fuck you, Arthur!” John finally snaps. “Our ceilings are tall enough.”

“It belongs outside.”

“Says who?”

“The fucking manufacturer.”

“I ask for so little, Arthur, and yet you deny me this one small pleasure.”

“Oh, quit being such a child.”

“I don’t even have my own body, Arthur!”
