saw someone in the chuggaaconroy tag continue to try spreading misinfo but... nope, forget those negativity obsessed tarpits. the situations finished. you lost your ground to continue making fun of an autistic person. move on and grow, or continue to swim in your endless sea of anger.

good luck to both chugga and masae on their seperate journeys. ill be certain to not associate the two with each other again. they're both wonderful people who truly deserve the best and i'm cheering for both all the way.

My take on the Chuggaaconroy situation

A few days ago, LadyEmily, a creator who works as an writer for Sarah Z., spoke out about her negative experiences with Emile, known online as Chuggaaconroy.

I have been a fan of Emile’s content for almost as long as I’ve watched YouTube. Emile’s channel was the first I’ve ever subscribed to, back in 2008 when I was 6 years old. Today, following MasaeAnela’s account, I am unsubscribing from Chuggaaconroy- and I implore you to do the same.

When Lady Emily’s account first came out, I was mostly in disbelief. There was a very clear dissonance between the Emile in the messages shown, and the Emile I know from the videos. However, I didn’t deny that these allegations could very well be real.

I’ve watched this guy’s content for over a decade now, but I cannot claim to know him personally. His online persona being nice doesn’t mean his actual self is without fault. What I didn’t really buy in Emily’s statement was the accusations that this happened to more people than just her.

Mostly because she didn’t provide any proof of the sort, nor was any other account of this type of behavior from Emile, public as of yet. So when MasaeAnela, a persona who’s been associated with Emile for years now, claims the same things happened to her- that’s when I decided it was over.

Why did Masae decide to speak out now? It was simply because Chuggaaconroy has been a recognizable YouTube figure for years, and has amassed a very loyal following. Going against Emile is not a wise decision, not because his follower base is stupid or immature, like the fanbase of say, DreamWasTaken. It’s moreso that his fanbase spans a very wide range of people, and has been amassed for so long. People are attached to Chugga because he was a known figure for well over a decade of YouTube.

This is why #WeAreWithChuggaaconroy was trending at one point, and likely the reason why it took Masae and so many others such a long time to speak out, until now.

Masae opened the door, and now multiplie accounts of Chugga’s negative behavior are being released. I’ve been subscribed to Chugga for 15 years, but now I see how much fame changed the man. As someone who subscribed to Emile’s channel because of his positivity and passion towards a topic I was interested in, as someone who tried games merely based on his recommendations, and as someone who has Emile to thank for my current interests - I am unsubscribing from Chuggaaconroy, and I implore you to do the same.

Stand with the victims.

Breaking the social media hiatus to say how disheartening the whole chuggaaconroy situation. Not for his sake, because fuck him, but for the people he abused that had to face abuse from people who formed a paradoxical relationship with chuggaaconroy to the extent that they will excuse literally anything he does. I can't even feel that sympathetic with them because I was in a similar situation of liking his content as a kid who liked seeing another autistic creator talk about my interests, but that didn't develop into me forming a one-sided relationship where I assumed I knew things about him. I understood he carefully manufactured a specific personality for presenting via social media, as all creators do. As such, it wasn't impossible for to think he did the awful things he did because I knew I didn't actually know him. People are continuing to act like he's not responsible for what he did, though, even after multiple different people come out with evidence about what's he's been doing over the course of over a decade, and with women and girls as young as 15. That's only the people we know about, too. The worst factor to me is that those stories were corroborated by several people after the initial remarks of Lady Emily, who spoke up because she saw that the way people were idolizing him was the reason he was able to get away with what he was doing for so long. People acted like he was so positive and wholesome, and therefore let him get away with things that were the opposite. It's doubly awful that people then accused her of trying to take him down specifically because of his autism, trying to make this some sort of anti-ableist crusade when she is also autistic, and therefore fully aware that his autism was not an excuse for his behavior. Still, even as her stories have been corroborated by, again, MULTIPLE people, there are still those who continue to act like that fact isn't relevant. They'll cop to the fact that he abused those other people, but then still dismiss and dehumanize Lady Emily. That's really ironic considering that, in masaeanela's recount of her experience, she mentioned not speaking up about the issues prior because she didn't want to rock the boat and put herself at the mercy of chuggaaconroy's fans attacking her. It's sad how understandable that assumption ended up being. Even when you come out about an experience you faced at the hands of a popular YouTuber, one corroborated by multiple other women, you can still be called a liar, a bitch, a sadist, and so much worse. We all know why, too. The fact that an autistic trans woman is getting so much more scrutiny than other women who have spoken up about this is honestly very painful to see as someone who is trans, autistic, and who has experienced this same abuse.

Please understand what your favorite YouTubers are; strangers. You do not know them, and they do not know you. You are only ever seeing a carefully maintained facade they chose to present to an audience via scripts and editing. If you can't hold them accountable for the bad things they did, how can you expect other people to hold everyday nobodies accountable too

i've been getting a lot of anons lately so incase anyone asks YES i deleted my posts about chuggaaconroy except for the 1 anon i responded to this morning.

i realized one of my alters was having a breakdown over it and i've decided i didn't want that to be public. i please encourage anybody who reblogged those posts to delete them from your blog too, because they were made in the midst of a breakdown. it's been hard for all of us to accept. for many of us he was our ONLY source of comfort during incredibly traumatic periods in our life...

duelbraids’ super profreshional mac n cheese recipe

You will Need:

Three tablespoons flour

Three tablespoons butter 

I dunno, like two cups of milk? 

A half cup of heavy cream (heavy whipping cream is fine)

Salt, Pepper

Smoked Paprika (regular paprika is also fine)

Whole mustard seeds or course ground mustard

Vermont or Irish cheddar*

Havarti*

Smoked Gruyere*

OH YEAH, pasta noodles. Pick your favorite, but I love rotini.

Optional:

Panko breadcrumbs

Bacon

*I have never measured the amount of each individual cheese, but the vessel I use to hold all of it is 2 cups. A good ratio is 2 to 1 to 1. Havarti is a good melting cheese which allows the heavy flavor fellows to do their job without risking the roux. I only hand shred or chop the cheese really finely. Pre-shred stuff is covered in potato starch, which makes your sauce grainy. As for wether to use Vermont or Irish cheddar, that’s personal preference. Irish cheddar is way sharper, so may not be to everyone’s fancy. 

Instructions:

Plenty of really really good guides exist on the internet about how to make the perfect roux, but the bare basics are as follows: 

Put a sauce pot over medium heat. melt your 3 tbsp of butter in the sauce pot, not elsewhere, and once it begins to bubble, add the tablespoons of flour. Whisk together. Cook until you can’t smell the flour anymore.

Get ready to whisk until you die.

Add the milk in stages, being sure to whisk out all the lumps. to check and make sure the roux isn’t breaking, occasionally tilt it to check for clumps / grain. 

Once all the milk is added / the roux is a little thinner than you want it to be, add the heavy cream. Heavy cream will thicken

Now, add your salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and whole mustard seeds. chilli powder is also good, but not everyone wants spicy Mac. 

THIS is where you add your cheese. Add in very small batches, starting with the havarti, and slowly incorporating the cheddar and gruyere.

I take this part like, excruciatingly slow, because I’m terrified of wasting cheese. 

OPTIONAL:

I personally almost always have bacon pre-made, but if you don’t, cook the bacon to your liking. Chop it into ittle bittle pieces 

Combine together some panko (maybe half a cup?) with the chopped bacon and cracked black pepper (or just, what ever black pepper you have.) 

Right before your Mac goes in the oven, spread this on top. It’ll come out golden brown and crunchy and good. 

That’s it! It’s not at all simple but buying the ingredients usually gives you enough to make a crap ton of batches, and its freezer friendly! You can freeze mac n cheese for up to 3 months and it’ll reheat really well in the oven, low and slow. (I usually do 350 for 45 minutes)

In the light of some recent events regarding Chuggaconroy (started first from this post and now there are former friends who are coming out about similar issues i.e. MasaeAnela...and it got worse), I have taken down the links to his videos in my commission art posts.

I'm glad he never did anything like this to me when he reached out for the commission work, but now the association makes the works feel...tainted in a way.

I'll answer the second one first. I've never played Hollow Knight myself, but watched a playthrough of it. I never got into it as much.

I've done a fair bit of Bug Fables art, some of it for MasaeAnela when she played through it on Twitch.

Now, a lot of the art contains spoilers, big and small, so I'm gonna put a Read More. (It also ended up being super long lol)

First I'll share a little Bug Fables version of a bug I saw at work one day.

This was made in response to Masae getting endlessly distracted by sidequests in her playthrough. XD

Leif has ice powers, and one of his moves requires the player to hit a button as it pops up. If they fail, the power backfires and Leif does a little animation where his hand freezes. Masae kept pressing the wrong button, so this came to mind. XD

At some point I decided to draw them as dragons. There are a few more down below, but there's a spoiler bit of text, so it goes in the depths lol.
