It’s definitely how lively the characters are! Nintendo mainly has characters that don’t really have a personality, which isn’t bad, but it’s refreshing to see a Nintendo character make jokes and banters.

I love how outgoing Pit is and he’s my favorite alongside Pittoo. :)

After The Devil {The Arcana}

[ smth self indulgent stuff inspired by the recent Arcana update

This takes place after the upright ending of Julian's route,, although the second part hasnt come out yet, I'll do my best to predict the likely ending lol,,, but, still,,, spoilers possibly ahead.

It was like the incident happened yesterday, fresh in her mind. They really did it... She really beat the Devil... And with help, at that...

"Dani?"

Her head whipped up at the direction of the voice, and she smiled warmly. It was Julian, the light and love of her life... She can still remember their exchange of 'I love you's' while before the Devil, and the power surging through her as she broke his chains. It was all thanks to him... And a few other friends, of course. Asra, Portia, Mazelinka, Nadia, Nazali... She made sure to thank them greatly.

Julian returned a smile, knowing what was going through mind and nestled next to her. "Still thinking about your glorious win against the Devil himself, eh?" He asks, chuckling softly and lightly wrapping an arm around her waist. Dani swayed into the contact with a smile.

"Our win, you mean." She corrects, laughing softly. She then sighed with content, looking out to the vast sea before her. They were on a ship, taking a well-deserved, likely small vacation after that whole craziness. "I didn't do it alone, Julian. You know that."

"Ah, right, yes... My mistake. I'm just... Shocked we actually survived against such a being."

"Honestly? Me too... But, here we are. Taking a break, out to sea... Just the two of us..."

Dani turned a bit, reaching up and lightly cupping Julian's cheek. She lightly rubbed her thumb across his skin. "And also... We're finally together. In peace... Alive." She continued, smiling again.

Julian tilts his head into the contact, a soft chuckle coming from him as he also remembered the quick 'I love you' he had exhanged. "That we are... Part of me still cannot fathom it... It was quite last minute, and I wasn't sure if it was the right time-"

"Ilya."

"W-What?"

Dani gave a small, lighthearted smirk before pulling him down by the collar of his shirt and kissing him with all the love she could muster. She could do this forever.

Julian certainly seemed caught of guard by her sudden gesture, never truly getting accustomed to her unpredictability. However, he returned his lover's kiss and carefully hoisted her up so she could be at least face-level with him.

The former apprentice snuck a laugh into her kiss, and had slowly broken away to see a faint blush on the doctor's face as she looked down at him. She never thought she'd have so much love for one man... Until she met him.

"Well, er... That was... Unexpected, darling."

"I know... But you love it. I know you do."

"Heh... Well, guilty."

The two then laughed, Julian giving her a bit of a twirl before gently setting Dani down back onto her feet. They then took a moment to look back out to the horizon, the sun beginning to retreat to the darkness of night.

Hands intertwined, and no words were given in such a beautiful moment. They had said all they needed to, even without words. They even knew the same thing:

They were ready for their next adventure soon... Together.
