I'll be honest I'm pretty uninterested in drusic like I like it and I'm proud of him and happy for him but I'm just not into music like that so I'm just watching new animes until I get gaming content. honestly if they lose fans because of the content lapse then that's their problem and they'll have to put in the work to fix it if they don't like it. but if they aren't worried about "falling off" why are you worried for them y'know?

yes! drusic is just kinda eh to me like I'm also happy he's passionate about it and I'll be interested in it when it comes out but it's not why I'm here, and I don't think that's really exclusively why anyone's here. but that's okay. dream knows that. he's not under the illusion that dream mc fans automatically turn into dream music fans. he's doing this because he's passionate about it. I mean literally "for whoever wants to hear".

I think a lot of people kinda panic when they see dteam losing viewers or stans or whatever and it freaks them out because so much of their time and emotional investment and personal relationships are based in the fandom. but trust me the fandom will always be there. there's still avid dnp fans on here, avid one direction stans like the fandom will always be here. and it will probably continue to get smaller. and no it will never be like it was in 2021 but... that was kinda awful as well 😭 my interest might fade out over time. it's happened before but it's not the end of the world!!

I slid down the dnf rabbit hole a couple months ago and just stumbled across your fic and was like!! hi!! I know you!! The best dnp writer is now the best dnf writer!! (Also I feel like there’s a lot of judgment from outsiders for being in a “Minecraft” fandom so seeing a writer and fandom person I respect a lot enjoying them made me feel a lot more confident thank you <3)

I think a lot of people are being salty about it is because they don't really post anything that's not an ad anymore, and it feels kind of disingenuous in a way. Like, they only post like once a month and most of gamingmas was ads, it just kinda feels like they're only in it for the money. I love dnp and I'll keep watching them but whenever I do that's just sitting in the back of my mind.

sorry i’m replying to this late, this is probably uninteresting by now but i wanted to give you a reply! anyway, i’m also for viewers keeping a tab on their favorite youtubers/how they’re tending to the quality of their content. i think it’s important not to have your judgement clouded by devil ass mc corporate yt. if you don’t feel satisfied with the quality of a youtuber’s content, it’s ok to voice your concerns imo. dan and phil’s upload rate is a lot slower than other youtubers, but they also only posted 2 sponsored videos in the past month (during gamingmas) and 4 sponsored videos all together in the last 4 months between the gaming channel and phil’s channel, which had 1 sponsored video on it in the last 4 months. so the last 4 months, that’s 48 videos altogether with only 4 of them being sponsors. if we’re talking about the general preroll ads before a video, there’s not one youtuber that doesn’t have those. they are doing the same thing all of their colleagues and peers do. i don’t think this makes them disingenuous, they’re smart about their audience compared to a lot of other content creators. they’re very intuitive with what works and what doesn’t when it comes to their videos, their sponsored videos are presented in a way that their viewers are still getting content they want (ie their newly created best friend quizzes that everyone gets a kick out of when they play sponsored games) not just the sponsor. 

tl;dr yes evil corporate yt money but dan and phil do it with a lot more tact and creativity than the majority of youtubers

Abstract:  BACKGROUND: Allergic conjunctivitis (AC) resulting from conjunctival reactive inflammation is a common ocular surface disease. Quercetin is known for its anti-allergic properties but its effects on conjunctivitis are less well understood.PURPOSE: In this study, we evaluated the anti-allergic effects of quercetin in animal models of conjunctivitis, and explored its molecular mechanism(s) of action in cultured human mast cells (MCs).KEY RESULTS: Quercetin inhibited the ovalbumin (OVA) induced expression of IgE, HA, IL-4, TNF-α and substance-P in the peripheral blood of AC mouse models. Quercetin also attenuated OVA induced MC degranulation, eosinophil number, substance P concentrations, and mRNA IL-4/TNF-α expression in the conjunctival tissue of AC models. In vitro analysis showed that quercetin reduced DNP-HSA/IgE induced calcium (Ca2+) influx, and suppressed degranulation and chemokine release in LAD2 cells (human primary mast cell). Quercetin also inhibited DNP-HSA/IgE induced Lyn/PLCγ/IP3R-Ca2+ activation, Lyn/ERK1/2 signaling, and Lyn/NF-κB activation in LAD2 cells, all of which promote inflammation. When added alone, quercetin had no effect on PLCγ1 phosphorylation or expression, but potently inhibited Lyn and phosphorylation-Lyn. Quercetin (200 μM) and Lyn inhibitors (Bafetinib, 10 μM) inhibit the activity of Lyn kinase, and quercetin can reduce the activation of Lyn kinase by Lyn agonist (Tolimidone, 10 μM). These data can be preliminarily determined that quercetin can inhibit allergic conjunctivitis as a Lyn kinase inhibitor.CONCLUSIONS AND IMPLICATIONS: This study illustrated the use of quercetin for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis, which might act through its ability to inhibit Lyn/PLCγ/IP3R-Ca, Lyn/ERK1/2, and Lyn/NF-κB signaling. The inhibition of Lyn likely represents a major mechanism by which quercetin dampens the inflammatory response in AC disease models.

hey! hope its okay to ask you a couple of questions about your fic writing, Im just very curious!

Do you find yourself drawn to similar tropes when writing mcyt fic that you did with dnp, or are the relationship dynamics very different?

Also, is it fun to be writing in a fandom with more than two "main characters"? How does that affect the kind of stories you end up writing?

This was a fantastic ask to get, thank you!

1) I mean, tropes are tropes for a reason. And I think with some exceptions you can make most work for a pairing. It just depends what you like. I always want to be doing new stuff because I will get into something and be like oo I wanna do that so whatever pairing I'm into at the moment gets thag treatment. That being said, some tropes are forever tropes with me, like fwb or d/s (not yet posted in mcyt fic but watch this space). Those are gunna crop up in all of my writing. There is also some crossover with regards to online friendships turned irl and the youtube aspects, but the dynamic is different I think. I won't get in to all the ways they are similar or different as I would be going on for a while but I do have Thoughts.

That being said, I've been writing for so long that I know what I like to write. And I think ppl who have read stuff from me for a while know the vibe of a Jane fic so that carries over for sure!

I also wrote a lot of dnp fic (132 I think? Not counting deleted or unposted ones) so I did a variety of stuff to find what I liked. And I'll continue to try new things. Doesn't always work, and maybe my style won't appeal in this new fandom, but I'm writing for my own enjoyment always.

2) having an entire cast of people is SO much nicer. I was so sick of having to make Louise or PJ way more prevalent in dnp's lives than they are because they were just very insular and sometimes the fic didn't have space for an OC. But with the mcyt guys, there is a huge friend group to pull from with lots of different personalities and I love that.

You should also never misunderestimate my ability to get severely attached to a side ship (hello kickthestickz and karlnap) and go off and write some fic for them too.

Anon this has been in my brain all day and I cannot shake it. Why must my fandoms collide this way?!?!

(However, as someone who went to Florida every year for YEARS, I never thought it was that odd of a choice for family holidays. My mum is threatening to take us all back there next year and I am... hesitant. It's a big state but my luck is bad.)
