Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach Central Opens
MCR announced the grand opening of the Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach Central, a 112-room hotel located in the Center Port Business Park in Pompano Beach, Florida. The $21 million extended-stay hotel is owned and operated by MCR. “This property represents the first ground-up Marriott hotel to open in northern Broward County in 15 years,” said Tyler Morse, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of MCR. “We appreciate the support Marriott has provided MCR throughout the development, and look forward to welcoming the community of Pompano Beach and North Broward to our beautiful new hotel.” Located at 2880 Center Port Circle, the hotel is conveniently situated between the Sample Road and Copans Road exits of Interstate 95, and is a short drive from the award-winning Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and Fort Lauderdale beaches, the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and the Port Everglades Cruise Port. Known for its more than 3.5 miles of pristine white beach, Pompano Beach features numerous tourist attractions, including the only coral reef system in the continental United States. The City, which lies in the fundamentally strong Broward County, offers proximity to Interstate-95, Tri-Rail, the Brightline train service, the Pompano Beach Innovation District, three international airports and two major seaports. According to Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitor Bureau, Broward County welcomed 12.27 million domestic visitors in 2016, up four percent from 2015. The hotel features studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites with fully-equipped kitchens and residential-sized appliances, a 24-hour onsite food and beverage market, dry cleaning services, a business library, an outdoor swimming pool, an exercise room, meeting space and complimentary high-speed Internet access and hot breakfast. “We are pleased with the continued growth of Residence Inn hotels in the Pompano Beach area,” said Diane Mayer, Vice President and Global Brand Manager for Residence Inn. “When on the road for an extended period, our guests need space to spread out, maintain their life’s pace and restore their energy to help them maintain a healthy balance and routine while traveling. Residence Inn Pompano Beach Central offers them a seamless blend of modern style and functionality that allows them to settle in and thrive.” “The South Florida market continues to benefit from very strong year-round business and leisure travel, and our brand new hotel is in prime position to benefit from this trend given its state-of-the-art amenities, competitive prices and convenient location,” said Linda Markert, General Manager of Residence Inn Pompano Beach Central. “We are excited to serve this community and its many visitors.” MCR is the seventh largest hotel owner-operator in the country and has invested in and developed 94 hotel properties with over 10,000 rooms in 24 states. MCR’s hotels are operated under 10 brands. The firm has offices in New York City and Dallas. Logos, product and company names mentioned are the property of their respective owners.
