Thank you for translating these works! Quick question : the "guide to watch via SVT" link in your pinned post goes to a dead page when I click on it. Is there another way to get that info? Thank you and have a nice day! :)
Hi, thanks for the message!
Sorry about that! I changed my blog's URL a while back and forgot to change the link in the intro post to compensate. The link should be fixed now.
While I was at it, I decided to update the guide with a few more screenshots; I'm still worried about how readable it is, so let me know if it needs any clarifications;;

@melissaabroad, I dug up some old photos! I've seen a few in a neighborhood of Western Tokyo with a lot of agricultural fields but not really elsewhere in the city? They sell local produce and sometimes potted plants.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're pretty low-tech "machines" and only take exact change. Sometimes the farmer will make change for you, sometimes they're far from the farm and you're on your own. Oh, also, it seems like the price is set per cubbyhole and can't be changed—if they want to sell a cabbage for ¥250, they put it in a ¥300 cubby with a ¥50 coin taped to it.
They have a calendar up listing what items they expect and when. When I've bought unusual vegetables there, they sometimes come with recipe ideas. The food prices are generally comparable to normal supermarket veggies, sometimes cheaper, but the quality is fresher or comparable to organic. The plant prices are usually cheap, and they generally do surprisingly well? At least the herbs have.
The disadvantage is that you can't really rely on them. Selection is limited and unpredictable, they tend to sell out early, and they pull down the shutters at 7pm. But idk, even when I end up missing out, their existence makes me happy! They were a good destination for my shitty pandemic walks in 2020. They will make you smile.

Your birthday playlists have been my music for the past week at work - they're really fun to listen to! Thanks for soliciting them from your followers, they have excellent music tastes.
I’m so glad! And They DO! The majority of my absolute favorite music over the last few years has come from them! And there’s also something so special about knowing they’re all important songs to someone else out there too, you know? Not to get pretentious but that kind of connection to other humans through shared love of something is so lovely.
And speaking of, it’s birthday playlist time. gonna go make the Post

Hello! I've been following your Designation Miracle series for a decent amount of time- since the first chapter of your Yuji/Masaomi/Hinami/Shiori story, and I just had a question. I've had an idea for an A/B/O fanfic for your OC's and general universe for a while now, but I understand that it's your fic and I dont want to write anything that would make you uncomfortable, so I was just wondering if it was alright. I love your works, and anxiously await your next project 💚
Interesting question, anon-friend, with a complicated answer! I always encourage writing, and I am honored when my stories and characters inspire people to write. As long as you mention that you were inspired by my fic (and preferably indicate that on ao3 so I can approve the link) then anything is fine. When it's my own characters there's only the added complication of that depends on whether or not you're writing fic for *just* my original characters, or if you're writing it for Designation: Miracle as a whole, with my original characters appear alongside the Kuroko no Basuke characters.
If it's a Designation: Miracle fic, I think you just indicate that in the tags in the Kuroko no Basuke fandom.
But if it's just my own original characters (especially those characters) and not with the other Kuroko no Basuke characters, then it seems best to leave it out of the KNB tag and I would request you do it for The Magpie Chronicles, since @melissaabroad started a category for that =D And that's where the characters appear on their own. It just seems polite not to clutter the KNB tag if it's only on the OT4. (You'd have to change Masaomi and Hinami's last name, but other than that, I don't see why it couldn't just be an AU).
I hope that makes sense! I'm not sure which you meant (just those characters or in the broader context of D:M) but those are my thoughts on how it would appear on ao3 (assuming you're posting there).
Other then that, go forth and write, anon-friend and good luck!

@melissaabroad asked: "What is your ideal day? Weather, activities, people, etc.?"
My perfect days have a sense of accomplishment. I did something new, fun, or good. Or I kicked so much ass I fall into bed at the end of the day! And if I get to do that with someone I love all the better! I love having those convos where you laugh until you cry and you know you can bring up literally anything. 😊

Your blog is making me excited for my (first ever!) trip to Tokyo in May! I'm collecting names of food places to visit, especially the ramen shops.
THAT’S WONDERFUL! Enjoy your trip, my friend, and if anything stands out to you, I’ll give the shop name if I can remember it!

I second that you have a lovely voice! Do you see many flippered friends while tall ship sailing far out? Or just when you're closer to port?
We usually see two or three a day while in the harbor! They hang around because it’s really protected and between the fishing trawlers and lobstermen there’s generally an easy meal to be found. Much, much rarer to find them off-shore.

Hello! I just read your Akashi and Hinami superhero AU (I love it, btw), and I would like to know if it's okay to request HinaShi Hanahaki AU (If you don't know, hanahaki is a fictional disease that make you cough flowers--they are blooming in your lungs--because of unrequited love)
It's not like the paintings. It's nothing like how she expects.
The artwork she has seen always captures the person in rapturous agony. An exquisite pain that makes suffering beautiful. Shiori has always disdained those pictures, just as she has privately scorned the people who suffer.
Instead, it's a hiccup. A momentary soreness of the throat, as if she is coming down with a cold, then a queasiness, and finally a polite cough into her napkin. At first, she thinks it's blood she sees in her napkin, and wonders if she's dying from tuberculosis. Then she sees the camellia petals and thinks, Ah. Wrong diagnosis. Dying, all the same.
But it's so absurd. She crumples up the napkin and throws it away. It is easier to believe she somehow mistakenly ate flowers for lunch and is coughing up the effects than to think she has come down with that fanciful disease.
I would not. I could not. I give myself to no one. That's what she has always believed about herself. She is not someone who is passionate. She is not someone who has fits of beautiful suffering.
She didn't even think she could fall in love. That's not the kind of person she is.
*
The second flower is larger. Another red camellia. She flushes it down the toilet. Then she goes back to work, as if nothing happened at all.
*
She doesn't think about it at all. People will think it's because she is in denial, but it's not that. Having come down with this absurd disease, she refuses to acknowledge what it means. You're wrong, she thinks, to the petals in her hands. You're wrong about me, you're wrong, you're wrong. Shiori goes about her daily business with rote efficiency, and if anyone notices that she's occasionally excuses herself with more frequency, no one says anything.
*
It's only when confronted with Hinami's concerned gaze, that Shiori has to finally accept what this means.
"Shiori? Are you OK?"
"Why wouldn't I be, Senpai?" Shiori asks with a smile.
"You seem... pale. Youji said something the other day about it too. Are you--"
"I have been recovering from a cold, Senpai," Shiori says. "That is all."
It's you, she thinks. You are the flowers that are killing me.
She decides this changes nothing. She will go about her day, pretending.
A/N: Thanks, anon-friend!! I only learned about hanahaki disease because of another anon-friend, but I don't think I've written one before? Maybe I have, I can't remember. At any rate, thank you for asking! I also feel the need to point out that @melissaabroad wrote a MasaYou hanahaki AU story, and you should check that out =D
