VIDEO: Italian voice actor of Tom Cruise in the films "Top Gun" fulfills dream of flying in a jet
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 06/14/2022 - 12:00 PM in Fun, Military
For the long-awaited sequel to "Top Gun, Maverick", the Swiss private fighter jet company MiGFlug took Italian voice actor Roberto Chevalier to the flight of his life, excitingly realizing a dream of more than 30 years.
Roberto is the Italian voice of Tom Cruise and not only lent his voice to Maverick 30 years ago, but also for his return to the screens in Italy.
Tumblr media
Unlike the actor, a stuntman usually does not participate in the action on a set... and in the case of Roberto - in a jet. But how can your voice take on the role of a fighter pilot without ever having experienced the real thing? This was solved with a flight that was released on YouTube.
youtube
"We made a video with the Italian voice of Tom Cruise, or Roberto Chevalier. He flew in one of our jets to "prepare" for his role in Top Gun," said Philipp Schaer, one of the founders of the MiGFlug company.
As MiGFlug's raison d'être is to fulfill people's dream of flying a jet, Roberto received a seat aboard an L-39 in the colors of MiGFlug's Baltic Bees team. See how an acting method, where an actor inhabits the role of his character to encourage sincere performances...
Roberto took off for a stunning 45-minute jet flight in the sensational setting of the Swiss Alps. He performed loopings, rolls and an overflight around the Matterhorn.

Roberto's first flight aboard a jet resulted in a documentary short film. The film is carried by his voice and speaks of a dream of finally reaching the skies. Ironically, this time it was his voice that remained firm, because the whole experience left the actor speechless while he was on the air.
MiGFlug is a Swiss-based company specializing in fighter flights, founded by aviation enthusiasts in 2004. MiGFlug allows its customers to overcome the dream barrier from 14 different locations - including the USA, Germany and the Czech Republic. MiGFlug has never had an incident during thousands of flights.
Tumblr media
"Top Gun: Maverick", the sequel to the 1986 classic puts Pete "Maverick" Mitchell back in the cockpit to train a new group of young aviators. Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is dragged into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that requires the final sacrifice of those who will be chosen to fly.

The Top 9 Fastest Aircraft in the World
No doubt, today a large group of people think that someday they would fly in the sky and their dream definitely comes true. In today’s fast-moving life, some necessary steps have to be taken to strengthen our military forces. It will first have to increase the speed of its fighters, although many nations today have several aircraft that have exceeded the speed of sound (Mach 2.0).
Below are the top 9 the fastest aircraft in the world ever flown and comprehend what they have in the trunk.
#1 world recorded North American X-15:
The North American X-15 is an aircraft that has set the flag of success. North American X-15 has the modern society record for the fastest-moving aircraft. Its aircraft has a maximum speed of 6.70 mach, which is about 7,200 km / h, which is a great example in itself. William J. “Pete” Knight was the pilot of this aircraft, and he is the first to be aware of its speed.  In the beginning, X-15 was used at high speeds because it was not invented to steer using traditional methods. Instead, it was used as rocket thrusters. This Aircraft need some extra protection for the
2# Sukhoi Su-27 by Flanker
Su-27 Flanker, Sukhoi is the fastest air superiority fighter aircraft covering a long distance. It is very superior aircraft with many aspects. Su-27 is a very excellent aircraft with many respects. It has a twin-engine with blended wing and fuselage along with twin tail fins. Most of the air shows demonstrated that the Su-27 Flanker, Sukhoi has an outstanding controllability at high angles of attack. Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft are implemented to run an autonomously in the battle across hostile territory, in the escort of long insertion air strike and the elimination of terrorist airfields. The aircraft accommodates general air defense in combination, including ground and airborne power stations. This aircraft’s top speed is 2.35 Mach, which produces the very end of USSR craftsmanship. I am here including some other aircrafts variants of Sukhoi by Flanker in 1977: Sukhoi Su-30, Sukhoi Su-37, Sukhoi Su-33, Sukhoi Su-35, Sukhoi Su-34. And last, not the least Sukhoi Su-27 by Flanker was already prepared for passenger fun flights with MiGFlug!
3# Aardvark – General Dynamics F-111
The General Dynamics F-111 “Aardvark” is a modern-age aircraft with a top speed Mach 2.5. The aircraft, being a twin-seater pilot’s control, delivers more luggage than other iconic aircraft with “swing-wing” technology. This impressive aircraft can fly with a weight of 13,600 kilograms at a time. The capacity of it includes the bombs, a nuclear weapon, air-to-air missiles, or an 1800+ round machine gun. Aardvark – General Dynamics F-111 was the first aircraft production with the configuration of variable-sweep. It was also tested many times for carrier-based operation, although it is still incomplete, which has not been completed, some successful efforts have happened.
#4 F-15 Eagle – McDonnell’s Douglas
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 iconic Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather fighter aircraft that makes the successful fighter jets. It professes to be one of the numerous successful fighter jets to be built. This high-speed aircraft is currently in service with the US Air Force. Its twin-engine and thrust-to-weight ratio is approximately 1: 1, which can increase the speed of an 18,000 kg aircraft by more than 2.5 times the speed of sound. This aircraft was first introduced in 1976, because of its success. It will continue to serve in the American Air Force till the year 2025.
#5 MiG-31 Foxhound “Mikoyan” (1,860 mph)
The Mikoyan MiG-31 Foxbat is a Russian-made interceptor aircraft with a top speed of Mach 2.83, making it among the high ten fastest aircraft in the world list, with a top speed. The next plane in the same variant is the Mikoyan Gurevich-31 Foxhound. This aircraft is designed to fly straight and very fast, to intercept the attacking aircraft and to destroy the enemy. The modern MiG-25 Foxbat, which arrived in the late 1980s and early 1980s, is a modernization of those aircraft. Best specification of MiG-31 Foxhound “Mikoyan”; One 23 mm gun with 260 rounds, 6 times R-37 Air-to-Air missiles, it carries long or medium-range missiles. The Mikoyan MiG-31 Foxbat is now in service with the Russian and Kazakhstan Air Forces.
#6 The Lockheed YF-12 with speed 2,275 mph
The Lockheed YF-12 is undoubtedly worthy of its position in the jet fighter hall-of-fame as the legendary SR-71 Blackbird drew inspiration from it. In the early 60s, the YF-12 dismantled any pre-existing flight records. However, the YF-12 program was so secret that people did not realize that it was the first real test of stealth technology.
#7 XB-70 Valkyrie Speed: 3200 km/h at an altitude of 24km
The year 1964, this amazing airplane can reach 3.35! The YF-12 SR71 was the precursor prototype of its more famous sibling, “Blackbird.” It reached a record speed of over 3200 km at an altitude of 24 km. The YF-12 began as a secret project that eventually led to our next entry. Who knows how many UFOs inspired it during development? Lockheed designed the YF-12 for the US Air Force as an interceptor. The design of the aircraft based on the top-secret Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance aircraft. This particular aircraft can accelerate up to 3.2 Mach at 74,000 feet.
#8 Lockheed SR-71 “Blackbird”
Since its introduction in the year 1966, it has been used by both USAF and NASA. Thirty-two blackbirds were made, which were used for reconnaissance and experimental research. It featured stealth technology, but if it were against all the odds of being snatched by enemy forces, it could surpass interceptors or surface-to-air missiles due to its superb speed. The SR-71 got its nickname from a significant fact that its layout performs incredibly secretive. It packed side-scanning radar and had the ability to intercept enemy radar and communications. The aircraft has earned its reputation as a secret and fast weapon of war. Blackbird has an extraordinary history of over four thousand attacks with not a single hit.
#9 Falcon HTV-2: Top speed: Mach 20
Originally originated in the year 2010, this model hyper sonic aircraft is recorded hitting the Mach 20, provided it was technically gliding instead of the proposed flight. The Falcon hyper sonic technology vehicle is the only UN-crewed aircraft on our list and is currently under development by DARPA and the US Air force.  It has been used to collect data, and it can travel between Los Angeles and New York within 15 minutes! This is incredible! It’s a multi-research and development efforts to expand the technical knowledge base and advance critical technologies to actualize long-term hyper sonic flight.

MiGFlug cancels all jet tours in Russia
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 03/1522 - 1:45 pm in Military
The famous MiGFlug company, which offers flights in jet aircraft to civilians, canceled all planned flights in Russia and removed all Russia-based flights from its online platform.
"MiGFlug canceled planned flights in Russia and removed all Russian-based flights through the platform," the company said on its Facebook page. "We haven't only offered jet flights in Russia for 18 years, that's also where our company started."
Tumblr media
The idea of hunting trips began with the end of the Cold War and the downsizing of military services and air forces due to tense public finances in the former Eastern Bloc - the former communist states of Central and Eastern Europe.
At that time, many military aircraft of the former Warsaw Pact appeared in the West or on the market for sale. One of the reasons was the lack of state control in the Eastern Bloc countries in the years after 1991 - or 1989, respectively.
Given the huge amount of military equipment that these countries possessed, including nuclear weapons, this was a very dangerous situation. Corruption and unscrupulousness have been widespread, in many military articles they simply "disappeared".
A former Swiss driver who made a fortune buying Aero L-39 Albatros jets and selling them in the West, mainly in the US, told MiGFlug: “In Ukraine, for example, you could give them a wagon full of potatoes, they would give you an L-39 in return.”
Tumblr media
SONY DSC
The idea for MiGFlug came about when Schaer and Kaufmann were traveling around Eastern Europe during their university years. On an epic night at a diving bar in Moscow, they met a Russian military pilot and convinced him to take them on a hunting flight. Although the question is a joke, one of the next few days, the pilot smuggled them to a Russian Air Force training air base and took them on an Aero L-39 Albatros flight.

As unbelievable as it may seem, that's how the company was born. MiGFlug [the company name was obtained by merging the words MiG (for the legendary Soviet fighters) and Flug (meaning flight in German)] was founded in 2004 in Zurich, Switzerland.

After this first unforgettable flight, Schaer and Kaufmann sailed through the complex Russian military administration to make the experience available to other aviation enthusiasts.

A former Swiss driver who made a fortune buying Aero L-39 Albatros jets and selling them in the West, mainly in the US, told MiGFlug: “In Ukraine, for example, you could give them a wagon full of potatoes, they would give you an L-39 in return.”
Surprisingly, jets were made available for civil fighter tours by Russian state operators. The jets available included modern 4th generation fighters, such as the Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker, Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum and MiG-31 Foxhound. In fact, because of the huge financial crisis of 1997, the Russians tried to make some money from everything they had and these incredible Russian fighters were suddenly made available for hunting trips even for U.S. tourists.
Tumblr media
Flights previously took place at Zhukovsky air base, where the MAKS air show takes place. Other supersonic jets available for flights at this time included the MiG-23 Flogger and MiG-25 Foxbat. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, flights were still available, although Zhukovsky was closed for civil supersonic jet tours in 2006. Additional flights were available at Sokol Air Base in Nizhny Novgorod. MiGFlug was also the first company to offer MiG-29 supersonic flights, as well as flights on the edge of space (below).
Tumblr media
And as demand for flights grew, MiGFlug has expanded and now offers fighter flights in various parts of the world, although now less in Russia.
youtube
Both founders are aviation enthusiasts and love to be on site in person during flights whenever possible. They traveled the world to carefully select the best aircraft, pilots and aerodromes with safety as their top priority. Thanks to this extreme safety care, MiGFlug has never encountered an incident during the thousands of flights operating since 2004.
youtube
"It is coming to an end due to this tragic and unnecessary war," the company said on its Facebook page. "Any profit generated by flights in Russia in the last two years will be used to support Ukraine. We are currently looking for the most effective way to help. If you have a suggestion, share it in the comments!’
