Hello !!!! As I announced yesterday, here's the little surprise !

I want to try something new, so I'm hosting an art contest as a celebration for Heavenfell's 8th Anniversary.

Note that you'll be judged by the complexity of your creation, the technique and all the like !

It’s encouraged to join my discord server to make the event a little smoother for me !

You’re welcome to use my own illustrations as references !

✧ Refsheets

Here's a draft where all the reference sheets are kept. For more information on the characters, you're encouraged to join my server and check out the About channel if you cannot see the About Page here (https://heavenfell-au.tumblr.com/about)

Not respecting the rules will have you disqualified.

✦ Only 1 artpiece per participant.

✧ No AI, no tracing, no stealing. You’ll be disqualified and blacklisted from further events if I find out that you used unethical methods. Play fair !

✦ You must share your social medias of choice alongside your submission so I can trace you back.

✧ Respect the characters. It’s encouraged to have your own style, but no drastic change on them is accepted, example : giving a genderless character like Frisk breasts, or a bulge.

✦ Any medium of visual art is accepted as long as it fits the theme of the contest !

✧ Only submit your art piece when you’re 100% sure that it’s finished. You're allowed to show wips online and on Discord but only submit with the hashtag when it's finished !

Hello minor announcement time! 

I am working on a side blog called @thequestgiver which is a combination art/fantasy/comic/ask(rp) blog! Its very bare bones right now though but it will follow the story of a guild counter caretaker and her day to day life! 

What does that mean for this blog? Nothing! I will still be putting stuff in my queue and answering asks when they come in with fun little art pieces. I do hope to see you all over there and once again happy 2023!

How did you come up with Frisk's curse? I'm trying to come up with one myself but don't know where to start.

SPOILER ALERT

Back when I started writing my fiction, I was laying down on the couch just daydreaming to some songs and I had that specific scene in mind, the one where they come out of the strange cocoon into a demonic being. I think the song I was listening to was Butterfly from Rachel Rose Mitchell. That's how my fanfiction which was supposed to be a UF!Pap x Reader turned into a whole AU, thinking of what would lead Frisk to their fate.

Fun fact : Lost Soul's design is actually what my demon looks like, just like anything in Heavenfell holds a part of me as a venting/therapeutic project so Frisk's curse was pretty natural for me to illustrate. If you wanna see why, I think it's better to show my vent arts of over a decade

Damn, what a treat. It's 6 years worth of torment right there LMAO anyways... Yeah. Hope you can see how it came to me.

I guess the best thing is to find inspiration in media, like I did, it could be music, a show, a movie... your own personal torment with a dash of fantasy. I wish you the best with that !

Sooooo, is there anything you can tell me about this? I'm curious what this project is

Well--this started out as an idea I had before Season 4 rolled around. I was starved for content, so I decided I was going to make my own 'Season 4'. Of course, now it's going to fall more in the timeline as something that probably happened after the events of Season 4, or Season 4 never happened at all. I haven't quite decided yet. It was originally just going to be a written story for my own personal entertainment, and maybe the entertainment of a few close friends, but my partner more or less convinced me to just "Get it out there. If people like it, great! If they don't, don't let it discourage you from working on something you want to do". So I'm taking that leap, and I'm going to see where the fall takes me. So what can potential future readers/consumers expect to see as we progress further down the line?

I plan to bring to light other Celestial/Demonic figures seen in JOTTW and Chinese mythology, like a lot of fandom creators. I want to tell my 'familiar tales, new adventures', and have fun while doing it.

I'm going to explore more into the concept of Primordials--the 'gods before the gods', as they'll be known in this particular tale. For better or for worse, they will have a large part to play.

There will be new villains, and maybe the reappearance of an old one or two, depending on how things go.

There will be laughs, there will be cries. There will be wholesome moments, and there will be angst. But I think anyone expects that from a story, so I hope to deliver on everyone's needs.

Destiny and Fate are going to have major meaning in this story, and the thematic symbolism will be everywhere. Keep an eye out for it :D

And finally, the last thing I'm willing to tell you in response to the first question asked here? I hope you all enjoy and have a good time while sticking around this blog, if you do so desire.
