hi

long time no see. sorry that i've abandoned yall. lots has been going on and as much as i've wanted to i haven't been able to write and tbh i haven't been following what's going on with bts much either. i've had a traumatic few months where there have been lots of deaths in my family including my grandmother and a dear uncle of mine. it's taken a toll on me physically and mentally. my weight briefly dropped to under 100 lbs because i was unable to stomach any food. thankfully i am a lot better now. on the upside, i've moved to austin with my gf and we got a cat together! i hope i will be able to write for yall soon or at the very least finish milf. thank you for sticking by me ❤️

I've said this before but the funny thing about the Cosette adoption chapters is that, from Cosette's perspective, she literally just got adopted by Santa Claus. Valjean is a mysterious kind semi-magical white-haired figure who arrives on Christmas eve to give Cosette her dream gifts, and then drops a coin in her shoe as is a Christmas tradition! And then he gives Cosette the best Christmas gift of taking her away to the North Pole Paris. Even outside of the Cosette stuff, all the parallels between Valjean and the historical Saint Nicholas of Myra are really funny...The fact that he breaks into people's houses to secretly give them money, for example, is a very St Nick Thing(tm). He also makes toys out of straw for children in M-Sur-M! But the interesting thing is that the historical St Nicholas was, among other things, the patron saint of repented thieves and children. He was known for saving people from poverty, execution, and unjust prison sentences, which are thematically relevant. But yeah. Good on Cosette for getting swept away by Convict Santa. Sadly i don't think the sleigh and reindeer were part of the legend yet and that's super sad, bc they couldve helped against Javert later u_u

i do highkey judge people who write ex-wives in fanfiction as unimportant/disposable/someone the main character never really cared about. canon will say "this marriage is failing and/or unhealthy for everyone involved" and some fans will just take that as an excuse to be mean to women in their writing. it's bad when they write the ex-wife as a bitch, but there's also something really off putting about people who think a gay man who was married to a woman for 10 years would feel Nothing about her. just because YOU hate women doesnt mean the character does or that my bit of escapist reading needs to

meet myra! she is my durge for my honour campaign and one im experimenting with gradually changing her appearance as time goes on

some little facts abt her:

shes actually not a redhead LOL. her hair is meant to be shown as a matted and disheveled mess from the torture orin and kressa inflicted upon her

^ in addition to the above point, she is dressed haphazardly in worn rags, just enough to staunch the bleeding but not enough to actually help

both of her eyes are Currently ruined

i dont think the dark urge wouldve ever cried during their torture, but i think it wouldve been impossible like biologically speaking to not have depending on the method. durge also cried blood.

the collar says to return to kressa bonedaughter if found

now big “spoilers” for her character/character arc and some pictures of her head scars under the cut

so the dark urge is dead. like its soul has been cleaved from this body and myra has been placed into it

so this dead body is going to slowly become more “alive” as time goes on

myra, as her own person, was someone who has already lived through the absolute’s domination. she doesnt know how it happened, but one moment she was at the mercy of a mindflayer, and the next she is on the nautiloid with a severe case of memory loss

she will eventually get snippets of her previous life back to her, as well as some of the dark urges’ more primal desires

if you know what isekai is, sorta that or transmigration :)

anyways here are some more plainly visible pictures of her scars. so like the dark urge was killed by decapitation and so the body carries that scar

Btw this is a first for me, pretty sure, but when I go into the As You Are tag (and I normally don't go into tags to begin with but still), it is wall-to-wall me freaking out over this movie. This is both hilarious and embarrassing. I am so, so very late to the party and so very, very emotionally horny over it.

so what’s with “petyr rivend”?

OKAY. So Petyr is a character I knew needed to exist in Ellenville, but really solidified... *checks watch* ... two days ago.

((How much am I supposed to share for this ask game...? I'll allow myself to go off under the cut.))

TLDR: Petyr is an Elum miner/union organizer in my Ellenville story. He essentially fits the 'angry revolutionary with a tragic backstory' trope, and the story I'd write for him would just be his backstory since that has minimal effects on Ellenville-proper, but it'd really help worldbuilding for the country and geology.

He grew up in the largest coal mining town of northwest Marena, nestled in the valley between two mountains, and his parents were operators on the mine's south slope, situated upstream of the town.

As part of its normal course, the river began to undercut part of the mine's base slope. Petyr's parents and the other south slope workers voiced their concerns, but no changes were made. Eventually, the slope did fail, sending several tons of coal waste on top of the river. The town wasn't harmed, and Breichester & Co. actively mocked Petyr's parents and the other operators' fears.

However, 1. the coal waste in the river created acid downstream and 2. the poorly-consolidated waste wasn't enough to dam the water completely, but the restricted flow still created an acidic lake upstream.

The town and workers were upset, but the company claimed not only was there not enough money to fix the new problem, but naysayers were union plants so they could call in security. Once their vocal neighbor was silenced, Petyr's parents smuggled him to his uncle a few villages over with vague excuses to the company school. Only a few weeks later, the dam collapsed, burying the town and everyone not on shift in 15 feet of coal sludge and acid.

Petyr continued living with his uncle and worked in gold mining until elum was discovered near the capital city, (also called Marena), and miners flocked to their new Mecca. It didn't take long for Petyr to spot patterns in the families of miners and weavers who'd worked elum longest, and his brash nature quickly earned him credit with the other miners. On the run from company thugs, Petyr is well-known throughout Marena's underground, rallying to keep other workers safe, enacting vengeance whenever possible, and telling whoever will listen that something is wrong with the elum kids.

((His design is partly from songs "River's Rising" and "The City that Drowned", and partly from the Aberfan Disaster and dozens of other tailings accidents over the years. I also require at least one (1) angry!tragic character in everything I write. I love him. Shaking him like a wet head of lettuce ahhhh))

She ran her fingers through her hair, a sign of stress or frustration, and got caught in a knot. Annoyed, she simply yanked her hand out, pulling the knot. “I think I just threw up a bit. No thanks and no offense.” She sighed.

“It’s not you. I just don’t like talking about it. It’s fine, and I’m fine.” Myra tacked on the explanation after she realized her first response was a bit dickish considering he was just trying to help.
