“Ughh… what time is it..?”

The pleasant drag of Toaster’s drowsy voice cuts through the previously quiet atmosphere, pulling your attention away from the laptop at your fingertips. Frosty blue eyes flutter open, meeting your own. You turn away from them for a moment to look back at your screen.

“2:17.”

He groans and rolls a bit closer to you.

“Shit…”

You reach one hand out, slowly carding your fingers through their silky smooth locks. It draws out a sleepy hum from his lips, and they subconsciously lean into your touch.

“Why didn’t you wake me up..?” His voice is still a quiet murmur, purred into the bed sheets pressed against his cheek. You simply shrug, though a smile comes to your lips.

“‘Dunno.”

Your tone of voice says otherwise, causing Toasty to peek one eye at you. You can’t help but chuckle at their expression. “You just looked cute I suppose.”

A familiar sputter of syllables slips from their lips, and he buries his face back into the bedsheets. You can’t help but laugh, carefully pulling your hand from their hair. Or at least, you attempt to.

Their hand catches your wrist and drags you back — planting your hand back in his hair. Their hand stays loosely wrapped around your wrist, his skin much warmer than usual. Another quiet chuckle slips from your lips.

“God, you’re adorable.”

He groans, but doesn’t reply.

He likes to draw a little bit as a hobby, but doesnt take it too seriously. So hes intrigued when you bring up the fact that you’re an artist.

Very impressed when you show him your art for the first time!

Like he thinks its so cool.

If you drew him he would literally like. Break. Melt.

He would keep the file/physical copy forever!!

Sometimes he likes to try and do some of your drawings in his own style

If you do commissions he’ll always be promoting them

Hell, he promotes your art regardless

He would probably commission you to draw his favourite characters, or his FFXIV avatar.

OR BIG MARTY FANART !!

Would definitely buy you art supplies and stuff just as little presents.

Like if you mention a specific paint, or pencils, or markers, whatever you need, there would suspiciously be that exact thing that you mentioned waiting for you

It makes him really happy when you use the supplies that he gave you.

Like!! You made that masterpiece! With something HE gave you!

Makes him very proud

If you do exhibitions or gallery shows, he definitely goes with you to support you.

Has your art hung up on his walls in his condo, especially at his desk and near his computer

Also likes watching you draw/paint/do your art

He thinks its such a fascinating and interesting process!

Just how your hand moves, with each stroke of a brush or pencil, and how it all comes together

Blooming Panic: Cyberpunk Edgerunners AU

Calculating…

“You’ve got 20 minutes before trauma team comes in- they’re not too close in this area but there’s a chance.” Toasty’s hands fly across holograms, checking out cyber intel. “You need to get in and get out, no fucking around. Even with your sandevistan, Owl.”

“I’ll be fineee..”, Owl teases before Quest nudges him, “Xyx, you watch over Toasty.”

“You got it boss.” Xyx does a little salute, waiting for Quest to run out of the car and swing forward via the center console to sit next to Toaster.

“Don’t bother, I’m focused right now.” Their fingers fly across the screen, checking security cameras swiftly.

“No fun.” He teases, lifting his feet to the dash. “Better keep an eye on them doll, don’t want anything happening, yeah?”

“More than aware of that.” Toast’s pupils glow a slight yellow/orange, indicating a call with Quest.

“You’ll want to clear out the end of the hallway to your left, it loops around to the other hallway on your right. There’s a door in the back that holds the item the client is looking for. It’s some piece of tech, I’ll send you a briefing once I get a better handle of it and I make it less secure.”

“Good to know-“ Quest grunts, “Gotta go. Will call you back if there’s trouble.”
