When or if I started shipping it: don’t particularly ship it actively (especially in aa, obviously), but i’m game af for it (again, as long as it’s not aa). probably started appreciating it about six milliseconds after seeing anthony mackie in ca:tws. i would climb anthony mackie like a fucking tree. ahem. er. anyway. i will ship sam with literally everyone (again, as long as it’s not aa) because mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm and with steve?? yep i’d watch that porn hands down.

My thoughts: besides the fact that anthony mackie is literally sex on two feet? lmao. er. sam needs to kick steve in the knee and drag his arse to therapy so he can work his shit out. steve would thank him for it later because therapy is Good Shit.

What makes me happy about them: the fact that sam supports steve, but also encourages him to get help and maybe slow down, think about what he’s doing first. sure, it doesn’t work a lot of the time because steve is one of the most stubborn, bullheaded fuckers in the history of literary creation, but he tries, and that’s incredibly fucking admirable, especially since sam does this for pretty much everyone. sam is good people. plus i find it endlessly hilarious that sam is a tony fanboy, at least at first. that’d be a hell of a threesome, wouldn’t it??

What makes me sad about them: the fact that sam doesn’t tend to stick up for himself in the wake of the whole ‘Captain America’ thing, especially when he really, really should. a lot of my issues with any pairing including steve rogers is...well...steve rogers himself. that man is a hot mess.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: making sam steve’s therapist in mcu fics. that is not sam’s job, even in the mcu as an actual councillor. it is not a partner’s job to be your therapist EVER -- that is a job for a licensed professional or, if therapy isn’t an option, an impartial and violently blunt/honest friend.

Things I look for in fanfic: anything that’s not aa lmao. or sam being steve’s therapist.

My kinks: all of them! have i mentioned that i would climb anthony mackie like a tree?? because i would. anyway, i think anth---i mean, sam would be an excellent Dominant, and i’m not just projecting my fantasies here, damnit.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: steve with tony (surprise, surprise XD); sambucky in the mcu, maybe samnatasha??

My happily ever after for them: steve getting therapy, honestly. all things boil down to steve fucking rogers getting therapy

5. If you were a type of tree, what would you be?

a willow tree, for sure. i’m flamboyant and colourful, especially during the autumn. i’m so proud and stubborn and unyielding that i regularly destroy everything around me, like the roots of the willow tree around man-made environments, yet most of the people who actually know me think that i’m a person who tries (though generally fails) at trying to make everything that hurt them go away, like the medicinal properties of the tree. also, they’re called ‘weeping willows’ because, when it rains, the drops falling from the branches and leaves look like tears; i’m a huge advocate of crying both as a fuck you to my biological father who demanded his son do differently and because it’s scientifically good for you and regularly do so, to the point of taking time to pencil it into my schedule if it’s been a while.
