So a lot of people talk about technology seemingly coming out of nowhere in season 3 of Ninjago. But if you pay attention in the pilots there is bamboo telephone polls in Kai’s village and in Coles town there is clearly electricity what with the stage lights and all that. There has in fact been electricity since the start

But it is worth noting that Kai is the most resistant to technology and this is likely because he comes from a rural community while he maybe had a landline and electricity but there likely wasn’t much else since like the real world advancement happens in the urban areas before reaching the poor farming communities which is where Kai’s from. So all of this technology is far more sudden to him than to Zane, Jay or Cole who grew up near the city which is why he is the most resistant to the new technology.

Yes it does become significantly more high tech in season three which is likely due to bad writing but it is totally possible that things had already been progressing behind the scenes since the ninja never really had much reason to pay attention to technological advancement due to their magic tech.

It's been a hot second since i watched season 4 but imagine a scenario where when they were checking all EMs for the anacondrai tattoo they were also checking Garmadon.

Homeboy dodged a bullet then and there when no one went to check him. Sure the ninja know he's on their side but the other EMs would instantly lose faith in the ninja.

They're harbouring this random old guy who's not even a part of the tournament and just forced himself in in the first place, Chen's being actively antagonistic to him (a ruse?) and now to top it all off this guy is apparently one of Chen's goons hiding right under their noses.

In canon that got exposed so late when all suspicions were already cleared. But any earlier and it would have been a mess

I am once again re watching ninjago and noticing foreshadowing I didn’t notice before.

Like in season five when the ninja are trying to find Ronin, Cole says;

“This is Ronin we are talking about, he would steal the sea if it were worth anything.”

Fast forward to the Island special and Ronin steals treasure meant to go to the sea from the Island people who guard one half to unlocking the oceans wild spirit.

So Ronin didn’t really steal the sea, but he found a way to steal from it.

Concept: What if it’s Wyldfyre that finds Jay? The child of chaos in an area of rules and regulations would be hilarious. I just imagine her finding Jay and being like, “So you’re that annoying person the ninja keep talking about!” And then Jay has no one what Wyldfyre is talking about, then he just gets dragged by Wyldfyre all the way back to the monastery.
