Opal: The Virtue of Chastity (NNT OC Breakdown)

Buckle up, this’ll be a LONG ONE!

Opal is the Dove virtue of Chastity. She was created by a goddess race builder, Araceli (an OC), who wished to create life. She is the third member of the virtues to join up and is the oldest virtue. She is possibly the most powerful.

Opal is over 3,000 years old, created during the Holy War as a prototype. She is a puppet.

Her builder was heavily inspired by Gowther’s doll and tried to steal his ideas. This means some of her abilities are similar to Gowther’s, such as her ability to shape shift.

Out of Selflessness, and his own wish for freedom, Gowther gifted her sentience and urged her to escape the Stigma base and the battlegrounds.

For 3,000 years she traveled the continent, learning about humans and protecting the human towns from whatever threatened them.

She was still doing this during the Second Holy War, and participated in Gloxinia and Drole’s fighting festival.

Recent concept art

She meets Princess Violet after booking a room at the Boar Hat tavern. Meliodas recognizes her energy as Goddess magic, and invites her to the castle to see Elizabeth.

She has good relationships with her teammates, particularly Emerel, because of his scientific mind. She and Violet become very close friends.

Araceli modeled her after Nerobasta, who she saw often. Opal’s current day appearance is inspired by the castle paintings, one being Nadja’s.

Opal adores feminine things. She will show up to battle in petticoats and heels and be just fine, because she’s that good.

She has a strong desire for companionship. Araceli was a lonely builder, and it was passed onto her creation.

Opal is a hopeless romantic but has never had a partner because she’s afraid of losing someone. No one lives long enough for her to live happily ever after.

Recent Concept art

She has a baseline power level of 6,000 because she was created with the intent of fighting lower-level demons that the Goddess race didn’t want to bother with. However, over the last 3,000 years, that has nearly doubled.

Her magic is all defensive, but can be repurposed into offensive with strategy.

Bubble: encases herself and others into a pearly white bubble. It only needs to be cast once, and doesn’t require effort to keep it stable. When she's done, she can pop it.

Dome: a dome of varying sizes that keeps everything in or out— it is a physical, glassy barrier. Being hit only makes it thicken. The only way to beat it is to hit as hard as you can the moment it appears.

Shield: A solid disc she can use as a shield. She can also summon a bunch of smaller discs and throw them at the enemy.

Despite her sentience, she can still be used as a puppet. If someone knows the magic phrase, Opal becomes a vessel for that person to use their own powers through her. Her body was built to withstand goddess magic, so she’d hold up well. She is careful not to let others know this phrase.

She earned the Virtue of Chastity for her efforts to protect human lives. “For protecting innocent lives from corruption, leaving their lands pure and untouched.” She was given a dove tattoo on her forearm.

She does have a love interest who belongs to a friend of mine— he is a Zeldris x Gelda child. They’d be very slow burn. His name is Stephan.

Her arc would probably be learning how to let people in, because she’s afraid of caring about people too much. There would also be an arc about her past and meeting Gowther again for the first time in 3,000 years, which might be big for her.

Demon

Another take on the traditional (?) demon tail! The heart on the end protects the demon's retractable, venomous (or just very pointy) barb.

Tails, venomous and nonvenomous, are used for balance, especially while the demon is maneuvering in mid-air. whether they are jumping or flying. flight. They're deceptively strong even though their mechanisms seem delicate and the fluff covering them doesn't appear as tough as the rest of the demon's skin. A younger demon’s tail reaches full size before they reach their adult height. Coloration depends on the demon’s primary colors, including features like hair, eyes, teeth, skin, and tongue.

Tail venom develops during late adolescence- an evolutionary process that serves two purposes. One, that the baby and toddler cannot injure its parents, itself, or its other potential packmates with a potent and uncontrolled poison. Second, that the toxin may adapt to whatever might suit the demon best as it grows. Environmental conditions are thought to play a direct role. High-level demon venom has no ‘antidote’ because it, structurally, is one-of-a-kind; antivenom would require an (albeit slightly) different formula even between identical twins. There are three official categories this venom can fall into: defensive, offensive, and constructive. Some demons will inject their venom into themselves or other demons on a circumstantial basis to help, not harm! A few toxins specifically adapt to treat a temporary condition their demon frequently suffers from- for instance, to treat extreme insomnia or muscle cramps, to dissolve abscesses from the inside, or to reset one of the body’s natural cycles. Level of toxicity can fluctuate throughout the demon’s lifetime.

Goddess

Goddesses’ legs are built for flight - not just for landing - they are very strong!

Feathers all along the tail can fan out and adjust individually, though, of course, the tail end has the most maneuverability. For potion recipies requiring the physical essence of a goddess feather, it is not usually specified whether it need be a tail or wing feather. Instead, the recipe will reference a specific altitude or bloodline. The wings and tails of goddesses contain special adaptations per their homeland and family line. A feather separated from the body of some goddess species becomes serrated and sharp like a blade, for instance, and these contain a potent defensive energy. Coloration also depends on place of origin and closely resembles that of the wings.

While aiming for the wings is considered a legitimate battle tactic, aiming for the tail is considered an extreme insult and foul play, a sentiment largely reciprocated and respected by the Demon Clan.

Fairy

The creatures known as fairies / fae / faerie display immense biological and magical diversity and that's fascinating to work with, so I added them to the list for funsies.

A fairy’s tail begins as a simple prehensile limb and grows into a symbol of the fairy’s power as they mature. In their base form, tails are most often used in dancing and in daily nonverbal communication. Fully awakened fairies’ tails transform in the likeness of their wings, sprouting insect-like appendages which greatly increase the speed and maneuverability of the fairy’s flight. For those of the highest ability, it becomes near-impossible to disorient them or to knock them from the air.

My "Nanatsu No Taizai" rewrite/redesign Pt. 2

(@the-constellation-collective ) Thank you for liking my post alongside others! As much as I love nanatsu no taizai, I won't ignore the problematic stuff in it. In my nanatsu no taizai rewrite/redesign, I'm gonna put some actual historical alongside biblical stuff in it. I want to tell people that my posts of rewrite/redesigns of nanatsu no taizai may include upsetting things such as death, child death, etc. Please, be warned from my posts.)

• Goddess Elizabeth is now stronger than the archangels themselves, including mael. I hate how nakaba didn't push Elizabeth's full potential especially after she got her memories back because how the hell is mael stronger then her when she is literally the child of the Supreme Diety who is God in the universe? In my rewrite, Elizabeth is way stronger than the goddess race (except her mother).

(Remember how I said I'm bringing actual biblical lore into my rewrite/redesign. Well, this is the part where I'm going to start basing my rewrite of the goddess race from actual biblical lore.)

(This is the hierarchy of actual biblical angels. It's funny to me how nakaba made the four Archangels the big four powerhouses of the goddess race when in the Archangels is literally the 2nd lowest position in actual biblical lore. Elizabeth should be much higher than them, considering she is literally the daughter of basically the female version of God.)

•The reason why Elizabeth was so weak when, in actual reality, she isn't was because the Supreme deity basically prevented Elizabeth from showing her true potential unless she asked her to. Elizabeth was powerful, yes, but she could do so much more if practiced.

•Elizabeth's father, Michael, was the reason why she came to not hate the demon race and wanted the slaughter to stop, wanting equality. Michael was known as the one angel to help the demon race unknowingly, Michael was known to mainly help demon children and lead them back home. He was a bedtime story for demon parents to read to their children, kinda like the tooth fairy or Santa clause, except real. The Supreme Diety one time ordered the goddess military to destroy the source of food for demons in the demonic world, this made millions of demon citizens (who weren't even apart of the war) to go hungry some of them even starved to death. This, of course, made Michael angry at his wife, and they had a huge fight about it, Michael secretly snuck into the demon realm and restored the source of food with this power secretly. Till this day, no one from the demon race knew who did it. The only thing they knew was it was a miracle.

•The Supreme Diety grudgingly slowed down the slaughter of Demons since Michael was mad about the continued extermination of them, especially the citizens who had no part in the war. Elizabeth was born, and Michael was the reason why she wanted peace alongside wanting to stop the holy war. Michael was betrayed by Ludociel. He was caught off guard since he trusted ludociel so much because he thought of him as a friend. It didn't register that he would betray him since he thought of him as his friend, but I guess it was only one-sided. Michael was killed by ludociel in a horrific way. He scatters pieces of his body across the forest and nailed his ripped off wings to a tree. Ludociel prepared this day and waited until someone found Michael as he continued his days normally. People started to notice that Michael was missing for a couple of days, and the Supreme Diety ordered one of her guards to find him. The guard was the one to find him. He was horrified and traumatized by what he found. A search team searched for other parts of his body, and they barely found his head. When they did, he was unrecognizable, and they weren't sure it was him until they found a blue ribbon that was given to him by elizabeth. Everyone was horrified by the announcement of his death and ludociel framed the demon race as the culprit of his death, which made the holy war continue again.

•The Supreme Diety was already cruel to begin with, but she became 10× more cruel after the death of michael. Elizabeth was only a toddler when he died and wondered where her father went since he used to come play with her all the time. The Supreme Diety began to neglect Elizabeth before mentally and emotionally abusing her into doing her bidding. The abuse from her mother turned Elizabeth into a child soldier and a killing machine. She forgot all of her fathers teachings. This brought her the name "Bloody Ellie"

•Elizabeth one day came across a human woman as a child soldier. The woman was heavily pregnant and was sitting on a rocking chair next to a field of flowers as she caressed her belly. The woman wasn't scared of Elizabeth even though she knew who she was. She told her that it was because she was only a child. The human lady was more of a mother figure than her actual biological mother. The human woman bathed her, fed her, played with her, etc. She wanted elizabeth to have a childhood she had never gotten, elizabeth was like child kanao from demon slayer who always had that blank stare and couldn't do things without direct orders because she lived her life following orders.

•The human woman, her husband, alongside her two children, was like a family she never got, and she was surprised at how warm she was towards someone she knew as a killing machine. The more she spent time with the human family, the more she unknowingly grown attached to them. The human woman finally gave birth to twins, and she made elizabeth their godmother. Elizabeth took care of the twin babies alongside the family which she had to learn how to take care of children since she didn't know, alas, good things come to an end.

•This was similar to rou's situation. Elizabeth was given orders to kill the entire town the human lady was residing at by her mother because they took care of a demon in the town. The four Archangels gladly accepted, but elizabeth was horrified as she began sweating, and her heart started beating faster. Ludociel took notice of this and called her out on it, then asked her if she had something to say. the Supreme Diety and the rest of the Archangels look at her with such an intimidating face that it made Elizabeth 10× more horrified and nervous but she continued to have her blank stare and agree to the mission calmly. Elizabeth states that she lives for her mother and for the extermination of demons, which the Supreme Diety smiled at that fact and dismissed them. Elizabeth went to hurry and warn the village, but it was too late. The whole family that took care of her were slaughtered mercilessly, the human woman layed on the ground, bleeding out. Elizabeth cradled her in her arms and pleaded for her to stay alive, but fate was cruel. The human lady in her last moments told Elizabeth that she didn't deserve any of this and that she was only a child who was hurt horribly by the people around her. She told Elizabeth that the moments she saw her, she knew that she was only a child who needed guidance for someone to care.

•The human lady told her that she saw Elizabeth's eyes light up, that she knew that she did something right. She told Elizabeth that she was her own person, that she is allowed to make decisions by herself and not by others, that she is allowed to have feelings, and to stop the war. She told Elizabeth that she wasn't a person who lived for her mother, that she wasn't someone who existed for the sole purpose of exterminating the demon race and wasn't a killing machine like people are so confident about but a lost, hurt child who doesn't understand what being cared for is like, what being loved is like. She then asked Elizabeth if she enjoyed the moments between her and her family, Elizabeth hesitated and answered that she did. She smiled at her answer and cried, happy tears. She told Elizabeth that she hid her twin babies in the closet and to take them somewhere safe, she told Elizabeth that she wouldn't ever see them grow but she hoped that they would never feel alone because their entire family would be right there next to them. Elizabeth held the twin babies in her arms and the lady in her last breath told Elizabeth that she was glad that she saved her from the darkness and that she was glad to spend time with her especially in her last moments, her last breath was "I love you, my daughter".

•Elizabeth for the first time, cried tears, real tears. She had never felt this before and started crying silently as she held the twin babies in an embrace while she cried over her dead body. She never heard the word "I love you" before. She was like a mother to her, and she called elizabeth her daughter, unlike her biological mother. Elizabeth flew away to a different town, far away from the one she was at, and left the twin babies in a basket with baby stuff next to them at a couples doorstep. She did background steps in the town for people to leave the babies with and found the couple. The couple she left the twin babies with were desperate to have a baby but couldn't because the wife was infertile. The couple found the babies at the doorstep and were ecstatic about it. They saw the names of the twin babies and glady took them.

•Elizabeth got rid of their last names since the last name 'wilson' no longer exist. Elizabeth smiled at the fact that the human lady named Rosemary's middle name after her since she is the legal godmother of the twin babies. Once she saw the couple take the twin babies inside their house, she flew back to their hometown, where it was all destroyed. She buried the whole town, but she buried the human family that took care of her in the flower fields where she first met the human lady. She decorated their Graves with their favorite flowers.

•Marianne's kindness made her remember her fathers teachings about kindness, etc. Elizabeth finally decided to act on stopping the war.

•This all happened when she was a pre-teen since I referred to her as a child soldier. She then became the goddess Elizabeth we all know and love. The goddess Elizabeth from the og show is a teenage in my rewrite, and she met Meliodas when they were teenagers.

This is part. 2. I hope you enjoyed it. I wanted to dig deeper in goddess Elizabeth's childhood, unlike nakaba. I spend an hour writing this and I'm tired, :D
