okay so i was on my first reread of nevermoor of 2024 and i noticed that at the welcome tea party thing hawthorne says noelles name- which means they must know each other from before right? i cant help but imagine how they know each other though- like imagine them going to school together and someone having to deal with those two being in a class together???

Noelle's gotta be part celestial. That has to be her knack. Her singing is described as if it's a watered down version of Israfel's singing in Hollowpox. I hope we see more of her in Silverborn

Conspiracy: Noelle is part Celestial!

Okay, hear me out. The first (and only) time we hear Noelle sing, it is described like this: 

“It was a cloud of melody---a clear, sweet lullaby that seemed to surround Morrigan like a bubble of perfect contentment. A quick look around her told her she wasn’t the only one; there were glazed eyes and tranquil smiles everywhere, as if Noelle’s voice had cast a strange, blissful spell. Morrigan never wanted the song to end.” 

Israfel’s singing is described by Jupiter like this: 

““Because it will be the sweetest sound you’ll ever hear,” he said. “It will trigger something in your brain that will bring you a perfect and unbroken peace, the best you could ever hope to feel.””

and also once Israfel starts singing, 

“And the audience stopped moving. 

And they looked as if they might never start back up again.” 

Pretty similar right? Or at least, I think. Now, Noelle clearly doesn’t have wings, or skin with veins of gold in it, or anything like that, but how can two very similar singing powers not be related? Noelle must be a fourth, or a sixteenth, or something Celestial. This is the theory that I stand by, at least.

Ok ok just like every other theory I’ve talked about there are multiple ways it could go, but here’s just one idea.

It starts off at Bid Day.

Nevermoor - Chapter 2 - Bid Day - “ ‘“Mrs Ardith Asher of the Devereaux Ladies’ College” - Never heard of it! - “wishes to present her bid for... for… for Miss Morrigan Crow.”’ ”

Where else have we heard the name Devereaux? Noelle Devereaux. Where does Noelle live? Nevermoor. Most citizens of the Wintersea Republic have never heard of Nevermoor. So what if this Devereaux Ladies College is in Nevermoor, or at least the Free State? What if it was founded by a member of Noelle’s family? So then why would this Ardith Asher bid for Morrigan? How does she know about Morrigan? Could she be a Wundersmith too, why else would she bid on Morrigan?

I’ve seen people say that Noelle might be returning at some point in future books. Does it have anything to do with this?

Oooh this is a really interesting questions actually. I hadn’t thought about it before

Fenestra needs to be perfection. She has to be giant and fill up the whole room and she has to growl and it has to be terrifying. People who’ve never read Nevermoor? They have to be convinced that Jupiter brought Mog to this hotel as food for his giant pet. And those of us who’ve read it? We have to be slightlyyyy unsure as well.

Also the director is the greatest showman guy so I can’t remember, are we getting a musical? If so, everyone stepping off the roof should be a gigantic scene. It’s very important. I’m talking umbrellas twirling in unison to this exciting tune.

Also, to finally see Noelle covered in that jelly? It’ll be all my dreams come through.
