I think a really weird part of this in particular for me is how the beast repellant could've been a really good way to incorporate this-- make it like a repel in Pokemon where for the time you have the repellant on, all animals will completely avoid you and you can do whatever you want around the area. To balance this also maybe make it so with the repellant on, you can only get reduced amounts of gold nuggets from mining or have overworld gold spawn less frequently or keep beasts circling the renegade chests aggro and not effected by the spray. I think the level of challenge in this event is something a lot of people have been asking for from SSE for a long time, and i'm excited to see if they continue improving on the mechanics of wild animals wandering and interacting with you on a larger scale, but it does feel unfair to just suddenly introduce hundreds of nonoptional aggro enemies into a Huge area of the game with tons of unrelated main questlines
