Being the member of the student council was atrocious, - especially as a loner who had little to no friends, probably 4-5 friends who were all - well the same as you, unlike you tho, you had a 90-98 score average, making you the smartest of the group.

You also had a crush on the student council president, Kim Minji. She always eyed you as you did your projects, making advertisements for the school, and others. As you walked through the hallways of the school, you reached to open your locker, but, a tap on your shoulder emerged, making you jump, as you moved your head to your back, you found her. “Oh.. alright then.. good luck!” She responded with, enthuasism in her voice, she smiled cheekily as she returned to her group of friends, well - popular, group of friends.

As she walked away, you couldn’t help but think you had a crush on her, tho, the warm feeling engulfing you had turned cold by now, - the butterflies that once fluttered, flied out of your stomach.

The bell ringed, waking your half lidded eyes as you gathered your materials, shoving them into your backpack as you walked out of the class. Walking towards your locker, you opened it, as a note fell down to the floor, picking it up, you opened it carefully, it wrote,

“hey, y/n, if you’re free, would you like to meet up at the park afterschool, i’ll be at the swings, waiting.

weird.. the name was blacked out with black ink.. you shoved the note into your coats pockets, leaving it as a reminder if you forgot, which, you would never.

as school had already ended, you stormed through the halls to the exit door, as it was raining, you had to ask your friend for an umbrella, since, they always brought an extra one just incase.

“hey, could i borrow an umbrella?”

you softly spoke, a smile painted on your face.

“sure, make sure to return tomorrow, yeah?”

they responded, handing you the umbrella

“thanks, i promise i’ll return it safe.”

you said, taking the umbrella and opening it.

“have a good day, then.”

they replied, as they walked to their car, exiting school grounds

as you walked with umbrella in-hand, you went onto your bike, placing the umbrella in a modified-in pocket on your bike, perfect for rainy days and sunny days -

you now rode your bike to the park, tho it was hard to see due to harsh weather conditions - you managed to make it out alive without crashing.

you waited at the park’s benches for awhile, waiting for the rain to stop - and it did.

you now walked to the swings, finding her.

your body instantly froze in fear, your words turning into a stuttering mess.

“hey, what did you want to meet up for?”

she spoke, raising one of her eyebrows with a confused look.

“i was about to ask the same thing, didn’t you give me a letter?”

you responded, pulling out the crumpled piece of paper from your pocket.

“ah.. i guess we got played..”

she said, clearing her throat after the sentence.

“yeah.. um..”

you responded akwardly, eyes meeting the floor.

“well, while we’re still here, why don’t we continue? consider it as a friend date..”

she said, smile creeping up her face, her cheeks, visibly red.

“sure.. i mean, yeah, we can do that..”

you idly said, stuttering mid sentences.

“y/n.”

minji spoke, her tone monotone.

“huh?”

you said with a confused look, eyes meeting hers.

Focused, I stared at the target, my hand outstretched and holding the gun in the correct position. I closed one of my eyes, especially since I needed to train both. I took a deep breath and moved my finger to the trigger. As I exhaled, I fired. This was my 150th shot today.

I pressed the button in front of me, bringing the target towards me, and immediately focused on it. I used 5 shots per target. My eyes narrowed as I counted the points I obtained on this target. Unsatisfied with the result, I sighed and secured the gun, placing it back in its place.

"Y/n," I heard someone say, recognizing my coach. My hand, still holding the target, lowered as my back straightened. My eyes now on my coach, who smiled at me. I smiled back at the taller man. "Yes?" I asked, as he didn't start speaking.

"You need to stop your training," the older man said, furrowing my brow. My head tilted to the side as I saw another girl behind him. She was taller and seemed to be a bit more muscular. Her face also seemed quite familiar. Especially when she politely smiled at me.

My eyes refocused on my coach. "Why?" I asked with a furrowed brow and visibly tense shoulders. "I've only done 150 shots," I added, pointing to the targets next to the gun. My coach glanced briefly at the targets and then at me, sighing softly.

He gestured to the woman behind him. "This is Minji, and she and her team will be filming here shortly," my coach said, causing my eyes to glance at Minji again. "So what? Let them," I replied with a disapproving shrug of my shoulders. Minji seemed to smirk at that.

"You need concentration during your training, and I need to explain and show everything to Minji here. That would only distract you. Plus, you shouldn't be caught on camera during your training," my coach explained, which annoyed me even more. My eyes fell on Minji once again before I sighed.

„How long will it take?" I asked, slightly more annoyed as I placed the used target on the stack. Minii's eyes followed me, but I simply looked at my coach, who then turned to Minii. "Well, I'm not quite sure. Maybe 1-2 hours?" she asked. "We've already shot some footage," she added shortly after, glancing at the clock on the wall.

"What exactly is a K-Pop idol doing at a shooting range?" I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest. Minji chuckled at that as she looked down at me. Her eyes gleamed with a certain curiosity. "I've always wanted to try it," she replied with a smirk, which took all my strength not to roll my eyes.

"So, you're disrupting my training for that?" I asked, but my coach immediately interrupted me. His hand on the back of my head as he gently tapped it. Outraged, I looked at him with my mouth open as I rubbed the back of my head. Minji laughed at that. "If only it were Hanni," I muttered quietly, causing Minji to stop laughing.

"Oh? A fan?" she asked, pointing her finger at me. I shook my head and shrugged. "Not really. But it's hard not to know about you when almost all of Korea promotes you," I replied, which made Minji laugh even louder. She nodded. "But why Hanni, then?" she asked, making me blush a little.

Minji's eyebrows shot up, and she nodded understandingly. She bit her lip for a moment but then turned her head as one of her managers said something to her. Unfortunately, I couldn't really hear it as a sudden tinnitus started in my ears. I sighed. "Alright. I'll go grab something to eat. I'll be back in 2 hours," I said as I took the stack in my hand and placed the gun back in its place. "But you start over," my coach said sternly, causing me to roll my eyes.

With the pistol in my hand, I stared at the target. My eyes narrowed as I tried to concentrate. "And then, out of nowhere, Haerin grabbed my hand. It startled me so much that I stumbled backward into Danielle, pushing her into Hyein. In the end, we almost landed on Hanni. She saw her life flash before her eyes. She didn't even scream and would've just died silently,"

I sighed, lowering the pistol. With narrowed eyes, I looked at Minji, who was sitting relaxed beside me, occasionally reaching into the small bag of chips and popping one into her mouth. "Do I look like I want to chat?" I asked, causing Minji to visibly hesitate.

"Am I bothering you?" she asked, sounding a bit sadder as she looked at me from her seated position. Her doe eyes softened, making me swallow. It looked pretty cute...

"No, not at all," I tried to say with a sarcastic tone, but Minji interrupted me with a broad grin on her face. "Okay, good. Anyway," she continued, which made me sigh again.

Anyway... that was also good training. It was never completely quiet at competitions...

I lifted the pistol once again and tried to focus on the target while Minii continued to chew my ear off. It was weird. Minji came to the shooting range every Monday at exactly the same time. She would shoot for a few minutes next to me, and I had to admit she was really good, but for the rest of the hours, she just sat there and talked to me. All I wanted was to train in peace.

"Hanni said you're cute."

Startled, with widened eyes, I turned my head at lightning speed to Minji, completely missing my target as I accidentally fired. With nervous hands, I placed the pistol on the desk in front of me and looked at the taller woman with obvious interest. She seemed to notice, starting to giggle.

"Oh? Do you still have a crush on Hanni?" she asked, popping another chip into her mouth. Then she held out the bag to me. "Want some?" she asked, but I shook my head. "I don't have a crush on her. It's more... I find her cute. Like a little sister," I replied, which made Minji hum loudly. Her eyes roamed over my entire face. "But she's the same age as me. Does that mean you see me as a sister too?" Minji asked, standing up from her seat, immediately towering over me.

My eyes narrowed instantly. "Why are you standing up? Are you trying to prove something?" I asked, rolling my eyes. Minji laughed. "Let's go get some food. I'm hungry," the younger one replied with just a smile. My eyes fell on the bag of chips and then to Minji.

„I Can't. I have to train," I sighed, but Minii just smiled even wider. "You don't have to. That was your thousandth shot. You're done," she said, surprising me. "Since when do you stalk me? Don't you have better things to do as an idol?" I asked, sighing, which only made Minji laugh. The taller one looked at me with a smile as she took my hand. She shook her head slightly, causing her long black hair to sway from left to right.

"What's better than a date with you?" she asked, making me stutter. My mouth slightly opened. "Date?" I asked, which made Minji laugh even louder. "Of course. A friends date," she replied with a grin, making me blush slightly. My head lowered slightly. Of course, she didn't mean a real date...

I'm an idiot...

"No thanks. I have to do 500 more today," I replied, causing Minii to sigh in disappointment. Her eyes roamed over my entire face as I got back into position and lifted the pistol.

My eyes focused on the people who were talking loudly and laughing. My mouth shifted to the side as I bit the inside of my cheek. I could hear Minji laughing loudly and then she glanced at me. Her smile disappeared from her face, and I immediately stared back at the target. Minji was doing it on purpose. She knew I always trained at this time of day...

"Um. Excuse me?" I heard someone say shyly. My eyes widened as I noticed Hanni next to me. She had a pistol in her hand and held it firmly with both hands. I politely smiled. "Yes?" I asked as I briefly glanced at the pistol in her hand and then into her eyes.

"Could you explain this to me?" she asked, which surprised me even more. My eyes wandered back to Minji, who was currently teaching Danielle how to shoot. Hyein was just shooting without proper stance. With a smile on my face, I nodded. I gestured for her to use the desk next to me.

Quickly and carefully, I explained the key points to the equally tall person. I observed every movement and kept a safe distance. When she hit one of the targets, she looked at me with big, happy eyes, which made me smile contentedly. But my eyes kept wandering back to Minji, who seemed to be busy with the others.

I sighed in annoyance. "I hit it," Haerin's voice rang out as she threw herself into Minji’s arms. My forehead creased at the sight, and my mouth twisted into a disgusted look, of course without me noticing. Minji looked at me, her eyebrows raised.

I saw Minji start to giggle and slowly let go of Haerin. With a very relaxed, almost too slow pace, she came over to me. But my arms crossed over my chest, which only made Minji laugh even more.

"What?!" I asked, probably sounding a bit annoyed, but Minli didn't seem to mind at all. Her eyes wide as she looked first at Hanni, who was focusing on shooting, and then at me. "So? How's it going with your crush?" she asked with a grin, which only made me furrow my brow even more.

"Not good."

"Why not?" Minji asked, a grin on her face, her hands on her hips as she looked down at me. Her eyes were expectant as they met mine. "It's none of your business," I replied, annoyed, turning my back to her slightly. Minji laughed as she now covered her mouth with her hand. Feeling offended that she was really laughing at me, I gently hit her arm.

"My crush isn't going well either," I heard Minji say, which immediately made me roll my eyes. "Did I ask?" I retorted, which made Minji huff. "She doesn't even care about me," Minji continued, which only made me angrier.

So I started to ignore her. "Her training is always more important than looking at me. She didn't even want to go eat with me," Minji said, emphasizing each word. My expression twisted. Unaware that the taller one was talking about me, Minji continued, "Even though I visit her every Monday and spend a few hours with her."

Slowly furrowing my brow, I looked up at the younger person. She smiled gently at me, nodding slightly with her head. "Yes, Y/n. I'm talking about you," the younger one said, shocking me visibly. My mouth opened as my arms uncrossed from my chest.

I looked at the taller woman for a while.

"You... you said it was a friends' date."

"That was a lie. I didn't know you liked me."

"Neither did I."

"What?"

My head lowered as I felt my cheeks blush. Embarrassed, I laughed, "I... I didn't know I liked you either," I replied, which made Minji laugh a bit. Her cheeks were also visibly flushed. I took a deep breath.

In the end, Y/N and Minji found love in each other, despite their initial animosity towards each other. It just goes to show that love can be found in unexpected places.

Fluff (First Date, holding hands, first kiss)

Chapter 2

2,000 Words

(You go on a date with Minji after inviting her a few days before. You confirm your feelings and with a surprise at the end.)

It’s been a few days since you met Minji for the first time. You haven’t gotten her out of your mind and keep looking at the photo you took of her. After some thinking, you contemplate texting her, and you give it a shot, “Hey, it’s me. I want to ask you if you are free sometime this week. I want to ask you on a date, maybe lunch or dinner?” You click send and hope for her reply.

You wait for an hour, the evening, and no reply. You tell yourself, “She must be busy with her group. She’ll text me when she’s free.”

A day passes, and there is no response; you can’t help but feel a bit disappointed, but you have too many things going on yourself, so you try to keep yourself busy.

A few days pass, and you are currently at the gym with one of your friends from school. “Hey, you seem distracted, what’s up?”

“No, I’m fine.”

“You sure? You’re not yourself. Look at you; you’re running and lifting less than usual. That’s not you, bro.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right. I’ve been distracted.”

“Tell me. If it's something I can help you with, I don’t mind giving you some free advice.”

“Haha, you know that advice should be free; you don’t charge someone for it.”

“I mean, you’re not going to pay me per se; you just need to pay for dinner.”

“Ohh, then something from the convenience store, then.

“Don’t be like that; how about some fried chicken or some meat?”

“Okay, okay, I’ll think about it.”

You tell your friend about Minji, how you met, and the text message you sent her. “Dang, bro. She’s cute. I mean, there are three options: either she’s busy, bad at texting like my girl, or ignoring you.”

“I hope she’s just busy. I think she’s cute, and I really want to get to know her better. Hopefully, I didn’t come off too strong and scare her.”

“Hey, don’t worry about it too much. If she blew you off, my girlfriend has a single friend. Maybe I should introduce you to her.”

“Nah, I’m good.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Alright, don’t say I never help. Let’s hope she’s busy and forgot to text you back.”

“Yeah…”

The two of you continue your workout for another hour. After finishing, you go to the shower and change into different clothes. You gather your things in a rush after noticing you’ll be late for class, “Hey, bro! You dropped your phone.” You don’t seem to hear him as you leave the changing room in a rush.

“Hmm… there’s a few messages.”

He looks at your phone and sees it’s from Minji. He runs out of the changing room and tries to catch up to you when he notices her calling your phone. He answers your phone, “Hey.”

“Sorry to call you this early, I’ve wanted to…”

“Haha, sorry. He forgot his phone at the gym. I’m trying to catch up to him; just give me a bit. Oh, I’m his friend, Jin, by the way.”

Minji can hear Jin running and panting as he runs as fast as possible to catch up to you. “Dude, wait up.”

You turn your head and see Jin running frantically towards you, “What’s up?”

“Phone… here, it's her. Your girlfriend” passing you the phone.

“Hello, Minji?”

“Hey, sorry I haven’t replied back. I was really busy with practice.”

“Haha, it’s fine. I’ve been busy myself with class.”

“Oh… so that means you’re not free today?”

“No, I’m free. I have two classes today, but I’m free after 4 pm.”

“Oh, that works. Where do you want to meet?”

“Hmm… are you up for some Fried Chicken?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay, there is a place near the company building. I’ll send you the directions and see you at 5 pm.”

“Okay, sounds good. See you then.”

After your class, you rush back to your apartment and tidy up, shower, and get changed for your date with Minji. You debate what to wear since it's been a while since you had a date, and you really want to impress Minji. After much debate, you decide what to wear, do your hair, and go to the restaurant to meet her.

You arrive at the restaurant, find a seat, and wait for her to arrive. You text your friend and tell him how nervous you are, and he wishes you luck.

Suddenly, you hear the door chime go off and see Minji looking for you. You wave your hand, which catches her attention, and she walks toward you. You stand and pull the chair for her, “Did I make you wait long?”

“No, I just got her about five minutes ago.”

“Oh, okay, I was afraid I was going to be a bit late.”

“Haha, no. You made it just on time.”

She smiles and places her phone on the table before picking up the menu. “I come here a lot since it's close to the company; they really have some good chicken.”

“Oh, if that’s the case, then I’ll leave the ordering to you,” giving her a smile.

“Okay, but don’t be upset if you don’t like it.”

“If you ordered, then I know it's going to be good.”

“Haha, okay,” she blushes. She calls over the waiter and places two orders of fried chicken and two cold sodas.

“Sorry for leaving you on read; I didn’t mean to.”

“It’s okay; I assumed you were busy. I’m happy you messaged me back, though.”

“I kept looking at your message, and when the manager said that we had time off, the first thing I did was message you.”

“Oh, so that means you were thinking of me.”

Minji gets red by the way you phrased it and tries to play it off, “Haha, no, well… I didn’t want to be rude.”

“Well… you’re here, that’s all that matters. Also, you look beautiful, by the way.”

“Ehh…” Minji’s ears turn hot red, getting caught off guard by the sudden comment.”

The waiter arrives with a platter of food and drinks. “You two look like a lovely couple,” she says as she places the food on the table.

Minji is startled and says, “Oh, we’re not a couple, just friends.”

“Haha, she’s not my girlfriend yet,” she said with a smile.

“Aww, what a daring guy. I wish my boyfriend was like that when he asked me out. Took it a while.” She looked at Minji and leaned towards her, “He's pretty hot; you two should date,” and walked away, grinning.

“Omg, that was so embarrassing. So sorry for that; she likes to tease.”

“Oh, it’s fine. I only said the truth.”

Minji bites her lip and turns her face to the side, avoiding her embarrassed expression.

You grab a piece of chicken and take a bite, “Hmmm, it's good. You weren’t lying when you said the chicken was good.”

Relieved that you changed the conversation, she replies, “See, I told you. My members and I come here often because it’s good and the price is reasonable.”

The two of you continued with small talk on what you had been doing the past week. So far, the vibe between you two is great; she laughs at your jokes, and you listen to what she says and even give some input. You could tell that she was enjoying the date and hoped to ask her for another one. You can’t help but admire her beauty, personality, and how she makes you feel. You know that she’s the one you’ve been searching for.

“My members said that you seem like….” she stops mid-sentence when she tilts towards you, extending her arm and placing her thumb on your lip, “Sorry, you had some sauce on your face.”

You feel embarrassed and try to say something but suddenly react to the flash from the window. Four girls are standing in front of the restaurant window with their phones out. “Oppa, I’m so sorry. Those are my members; they must have followed me. Let me talk to them,” she said as she stood, making the four girls run away in laughter.

You yourself can’t help but laugh at the situation and say, “Hahaha, don’t worry about it. My friends are the same way. All they are going to do is tease; just don’t be too hard on them.”

“Watch, just wait until I get home,” frowning at the members that ran across the street.

After calming down, the two of you continue to eat and decide to grab some dessert. “Want to split the bill?”

“Actually, let me pay. I invited you on the date.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah, if anything, you can spot the dessert.”

“Okay, sounds good.”

You call for the waiter, pay for the bill, and head out for a short walk before grabbing the dessert. As you two walk down the street, try to walk as close to her as possible and eye her hand. You see it swaying back and forth from the side of your eye and make a daring choice. You slowly interlock hands and see her reaction. Luckily, she doesn’t reject it and instead turns her head away from you, but she notices that her ears are turning red. The two of you walk in silence and enjoy the scene until Minji stops in front of an ice cream shop.

“Ice cream.”

“You want to get some ice cream?”

“Yes, ice cream,” and pulls you into the shop.

“Chocolate?”

“Yea…”

“Can I have two orders of chocolate?” turning your head and signaling two with your fingers.

“Can it be two scoops for both?”

The both of you enjoy your ice cream and see how much she enjoys every scoop. The way she smiles and squints her eyes makes your heart flutter.

“Cute”

“Wha? What you say?”

“I said cute.”

“Nooo, why?”

“You look cute when you eat the ice cream.”

“Nooo, stop. You’re going to make me blush again.”

“Haha. Kim Minji is cute. Cute when she eats her ice cream, just like a little teddy bear.”

She covers her face with her hands, “Haha, stop. You’re going to make me cry.”

“Okay, I’ll stop. I’ll just eat your ice cream since I’m done with mine.”

You try to grab a scoop of her ice cream when she says, “No! Mine!” Her reaction makes you burst into laughter. “Haha, haha, see, you’re only proving me right.”

“Meanie,” pouting and crossing her arms.

“Okay, okay. I’ll stop. For real this time.”

“Okay. Promise?”

“Promise.”

“Thank you for inviting me out on a date; I really enjoyed it.”

“Would you be open for another date?”

“Hmm… Yeah… I’ll really like that,” with a gummy smile.

“Should I text you?”

“I’ll text you.”

“Okay. I’ll see you then.”

“Hmm, okay…” She waves you goodbye and walks towards the entrance of her building. You wave goodbye and start walking when you hear, “Oppa!” You turn around and see Minji behind you, “Hey.”

Suddenly, she walks closer to you, gets on her tippy toes, and kisses you on the cheek. “Thanks for the date” she smiles and speeds back to the entrance of the building and goes inside.

*Minji inserts the passcode to her dorm and sees her younger members on the living room couch, watching television and eating snacks. They all turn to look at Minji who is smiling from the kiss when she hears the members sing, “Minji unnie has a boyfriend, Minji has a boyfriend” in sync.

“Yah! Come here!” as she grabs her shoe and holds it up in the air, making the members run around the living room, trying to avoid being smacked by Minji.

i was at my locker putting my things away , and yunjin appeared

“oh hey jen!,i was just putting my things away,we have class together next,i was just about to go get you!”

she put her arms around my waist and hugged me and her head in the crook of my neck

“well i beat you to it loser,come on let’s get to class now!”

she dragged me by the hand , and we got to our class , we always sat next to each other in whatever class we had together

we were talking half the class , the teacher had told us to stop a bunch of times but we just kept talking , he had given up at some point

“oh my god y/n!,there’s a test coming up and i need some help,can you come over to my place and help me ?”

i giggled softly and took a pencil and started to explain to her the material

i snuck looks at jen while explaining to her what we were learning,i don’t know why , but she looked so pretty,something about her just made me want to stare at her forever,her lips looked so soft too

i seemed to had drifted off into my own thoughts

she smiled softly

“why don’t we take a break if needed?”

me and yunjin sat down in the circle next to eachother

everyone seemed to agree to the rules

i said the last part due to there being no men around at the moment,the men were on the dance floor with other girls and other guys

but instead jen just crawled over to me when i wa talking to minji , and turned my face to hers and kissed me ,my eyes widened , i didn’t hesitate to kiss her back

we made out for a good 3 minutes,when she pulled away the only thing keeping us together was a string of saliva

“i only said that because i was afraid of what other people would think..im sorry if you don’t like me back”

i pulled her in for another kiss wrapping my hands around her neck,when we pulled away i just smiled

everyone cheered and smiled
