I always like. do an outline for the overall story and vibe, then flesh out the start or something and cook up a little 500 (probably unsatisfying) words for fun kind of as a bonus. Keep it mostly for my private enjoyment and move on before the story comes to life. And that's okay... Yes, it would be cooler to actually write the AU ideas i get in novel or comic form instead of having them stay at just the 'sketch' & 'idea/brainstorm' phase before i get another idea and leave them to dust up in the pile,,

But yeah, its okay.

In the few years since ive started getting ideas for more elaborate aus/fics, ive noticed that my ideas improved with time. (no shit, i know, but it makes me happy! i grew up!!! i can see it.) My planning methods are better too. So all of that unfinished or abandoned stuff is not at all useless work in my eyes. And who knows, maybe one day i'll bring them back.

--> as a plus, all my fandom brainrot experiences even get transferred into my OC stuff, and frl whenever i read my notes these days (or listen to my voice memos lol) and im just like "HOW DID I THINK OF THIS WOW" or "WHEN DID I PUT THIS LIKE THIS? MINORS DNI

I can't draw digital to save my life, so I made my monster!Poppet oc Kalix, traditional. (I have been diagnosed with Vinnel brainrot, there sadly is no cure. Also I didn’t make this species, its heavily based off of a creature from game I used to play called a Kivarok)  Their main fur color is black, with the shaded in parts being a really really dark purple. Their horns and claws are orange with a yellow gradient at the top/end. Similarly, their diamond patterns are orange, and get more yellow that further they are away from their torso. They have 7 white eyes on each side (on the front view i forgot to add one pair you did not see that, nothing is wrong :'))) ) that they can close individually. Will usually close all but their two main ones to not look 'weird' or have people feel like they're staring at them. Kalix's eyes also don't usually have pupils, but they consciously make pupils so that, along with their exaggerated body language/movement, speech, and gesticulation, their emotions can be read more easily while masking in public. Pupils are orange. The first three diamond patterns on Sir are eyes, one being a light yellow color, and the others becoming white. Their eyes / horns / patterns / claws have a slight glow. Has four arms in total. (maybe one day i'll have the urge to try and draw on ibis paint) Kalix's blood is orange :). They also have a mouth on their main head, but really really don't want to scare people they want to be friends with, and keeps it closed and hidden for the most part. They are 6'0 because I wish I was tall :').

I've been completely obsessed with @eldritch-spouse's universe for the past few days and just had to make this. (Named them this purely because the word makes my brain happy) They are a young adult monster, who suffers from loneliness brain damage! With symptoms that are very similar to ADHD. They forget what day of the week it is often, forget words mid conversation, and have a shit short term memory. Often forgets to eat and has a habit of not eating until their tail-head starts to nip/chew (omnomnom) at them. Will constantly loose things, even if they are currently holding said thing in their paw. Brings noise cancelling earbuds around and wears gloves because they are touch averse. Usually has one part of their body moving, leg bopping, playing with their fingers, etc. (heavily projecting here lol, they just like me fr) Are a residual hermaphrodite who flip flops between sex depending on temperature/season (has a slit covered by their fluff) and goes by all pronouns. Demi ace/aro (hahaha slowburn + oblivious to their own feelings, have fun with that Vinnel). Has a hard time understanding sarcasm and understanding their own feelings.

Kalix's tail has been named "Sir" as they thought the word was cool. They usually eat / drink using their head-tail. Sir is Kalix's subconscious/lizard brain, though they don't seem to realize that themself, thinking the tail-head as more of a sibling/pet. (and example for the subconcious/lizard brain thing being, Kalix stubbing their toe, wincing and making a joke, Sir whimpering and getting teary like the crybaby they secretly are) They can consciously control Sir for about 30 minutes before a headache starts cracking open their skull (usually their species would be able to do this all the time, but shhh don't tell the poor child, they'll cry). While talking through Sir, Kalix can mimic many many sounds / voices. It would honestly be easier to list what they can't mimic than what they can. They do have a tell though, as when they speak through Sir, they have a slight whisper echo. Also sadly because of brain injury, they can't cut off Sir's senses from their own. Wagging their tail super fast like a dog when excited / to stim will leave make them super dizzy. Sir also has a taste for human/monster flesh :))) Has some other abilities, like being able to store stuff in their shadow (they do this more often and don't get nauseous from it unless they try to fit a bigger object inside. Kalix usually makes it look like they're pulling stuff out from their chest fluff becuse i thought that would be silly), make shadow apparitions for a limited amount of time, wrap themselves in shadows to hide or stalk their 'prey', and if they really push themself, they can teleport through shadows (within a certain range etc.) at most two times a week. They feel nauseous and get headaches after this, and using their power too often/long or trying to store large objects will make them violently ill. (won't stop the dumbass from overusing their abilities to pull pranks on The Clergymen though) Has little physical strength (for a monster at least), although they can jump pretty high when spooked (hehe get it? halloween pun :> also foreshadowing~) Speaking of Halloween, it's one of Kalix's main hyperfixations. Their hyperfixations include: Halloween, (and by extension) candy making, horror book reading, driving (although ironically if Kalix is a passenger they get extremely car sick), juggling (picks this up after they see Vinnel do it and realize 1. its a fun way to stim and 2. they have four arms. they are terrible at first), baking (which is kinda funny cuz they cannot cook for shit), insect related stuff, (piss poor) sewing, and drawing (they usually like to draw stuff with the combination of gore and plants).

Always has candy corn on them (or it seems that way, it’s just in their shadow. Kalix likes how it looks like they can just summon candy corn out of nowhere).

Also do not let them drive. They will turn it into a car chase. Somehow. (They just like slamming into the cars chasing them and showing off their drifts and sharp turns) They work as a party planner / decorator and will practically beg on their knees to Admin to help decorate for the holidays, especially Halloween. (Admin will have to wrangle them during other holidays to make sure Kalix doesn’t start making them Halloween themed as well...

”Decorate your own apartment Easterween themed, Kalix...” cue Admin’s signature tired eye roll as Kalix gives the smaller human puppy dog eyes) After they learn The Clergy has rent able rooms, they'll definitely start living there. Kalix's room will be completely Halloween themed all year long. They'll also ask Admin if they can help out around the Clergy / help them (Kalix feels bad for Admin and all their responsibilities, but also thinks they're amazing for being so focused and hard working)

Kalix is a complete virgin, having not even touched themself because again, they see Sir as a ‘pet’ or sibling sort of, only that Sir is attached to them. Kalix always chalks up Sir’s similar reactions to them as both them and Sir having grown up together.(if this sentence makes sense? basically they chalk up Sir having similar reactions to how they feel inside to just them growing up being attached to each other) Also them denying full heartedly that they are a crybaby and that they like the taste of human/monster flesh. To be honest, after a few months of being around Kalix, The Clergymen will probably pick up on Sir being more connected to Kalix than the oblivious lizard (idk why but my nickname for them is lizard despite them looking like some lizard/cat/owl/spider mix. it just fits. also all the picures of cute dumb little geckos connect with Kalix in my mind) realizes. Although Kalix sure as hell won’t realize themself, and won’t have any kind of sexual interaction with anyone while under the impression that Sir is a pet. Someone’s gonna have the explain the them eventually or Vinnel might somehow go even more insane.  (is a sadist masochist switch with a gore kink, though it'll take alot for them to admit it (or it would have if not for Kalix's first meeting with Grimbly and realizing they did not want to be a daddy/mommy/partner to the little dude, just a friend) Oh, and before i forget. Kalix unironically eats the most burned, charred, barely edible, can-barely-be-considered-food stuff. Completely unscathed. And they like it. They will eat coal (burning or not) in front of people occasionally to see their confused/grossed out/horrified reactions / to assert dominance. They're Vinnel's poppet for a reason :))))

They lived most of their life alone and when they were gracefully given a year long vacation by their warden, Kalix decided to try and make friends by integrating themself into human society. (Most others where they live avoid them/are afraid of them or occasionally someone will pity them but Kalix really dislikes that and would rather be ignored.) They stumbled upon The Clergy's Eye while stuck in a daydream / thought loop of how they were going to make friends. Going over the persona they had crafted (aka how they were going to mask the anxious, lonely, self conscious, and quiet crybaby they really are) and generally practicing conversations in their head. They were trying to go to the town's most popular bar, but ended up walking into The Clergy's Main floor / bar area (if im not mistaken). Kalix is just about able to handle being around Santi’s / and others pheromones due to years of exposure therapy (not a demon of my sort, will make sense in next post i prommy). (Ima make another post about how they met the TCE staff for the first time because this is hella long, thank you so much for reading if you made it this far. I hope you enjoyed my super self indulgent skrunkly child. I also left some stuff out that I really want to show via my writing later on :D)

Hello! I'm a bit of a new follower of yours, but I've fallen in love with your account: the art, the ocs, speculation, and the friendly asks/responses! I'm an Invader Zim lover, of course, but I only really know the show (a little) and the movie (I have a poster!). I've never even seen the comics.

Anyway, would you like to use this ask to infodump a bit about the stuff that you can't exactly find in the movie/show? I'm a bit foggy about things like Vort and stuff!

I suppose I could google it, and spend a couple hours on old wiki pages, but I feel like this is a more fun way to learn (and interact with the fandom), hopefully for both of us!

gotta admit tho, i haven’t read the comics either!! read a few but never committed to finishing them all…someday!!! though my understanding is that there isn’t a spectacular amount of lore in them, they kinda do their own thing, but i don’t want to speak without knowing for sure. there might be PAK lore in there? and Zib came out of the comics, which is a fairly popular character in the fandom. (I might have this wrong because I haven’t read but…Zib is the result of Dib winning in one of many timelines, Zim’s PAK attaches to the back of his head and he goes insane…?)

UGH I COULD TALK ABOUT VORT FOREVER AND NEVER GET BORED!! the Irken/Vortian alliance is fascinating, and canonically we only get bits and pieces that the fandom has taken and ran with. we know that at some point they were allied, and that the building/planning of the Massive (Irken Armada flagship) occurred on Vort. we know that Vort was marked for conquest in Operation Impending Doom II and was successful taken over by Invader Larb. we know that it’s now a military research prison and that the Vortians were enslaved.

what we DON’T know but can assume: the alliance ended because the Vortians were blamed for Tallest Miyuki’s death - being eaten by an energy-consuming blob made by Zim. this is hard to determine because i mean. a bunch of people were there. Zim was boasting about it. bruh. but Irkens are dumb, actually everyone is dumb in this show. but we all have brainrot here and we take things too far and we love it. anyway. we don’t get to see a lot of Vortians so how many are enslaved? how many died in the organic sweep? how did Lard Nar escape and start the Resisty (speculation from Frycook explains some technology that helped some Vortians escape prison but again that’s assumption)? what does Vort even look like? we may have gotten more had the series not been cancelled before shit got real but!!! alas…..

not knowing the exact extent of your current IZ knowledge, I might have just spoken in a totally different language LOL. but thank you for letting me infodump!! my brain doesn’t work well for remembering details or speculating very deep, so I often end up repeating myself, but it’s fun nonetheless. • NGL, as a traumatized person I'm not a fan of problematic ships. They just make me sad and uneasy, sometimes it can be triggering. If you call stuff like selfcest (which isn't an existing thing IRL) and age gaps between consenting adults "problematic", you don't know what "problematic" means BTW.

You personally disliking a ship ≠ Problematic. Please don't spread harmful misinfo.

Also please don't harass people over ships.

• In RP. actually don't care about chem, if it works it works. I can ship something fast if it goes really smooth. However, I'm pretty selective & I have a MxM pref. I also like some FxF, I'm most picky with het ships. It doesn't mean I don't do them but… preferences… lol

• I prefer ships that have a more interesting dynamic. Like, small conflicts or the characters have some contrast or are similar and have goals. I dislike both overly ideal ships or overly toxic ships.

Though I admit that some ships I like make no sense and are just complete AU's lol.

• Ship "collectors" make me uncomfortable. I block OC accounts that give off those vibes. It's nothing personal; I'm simply not comfortable with it.

• That being said, I make exceptions of writers that are able to offer double ups bc I think it's only fair if you can offer OC x Canon in return.

• Probably a hot take but I'm just not keen with people who try to "un-gay" obviously queer-coded characters.

• I definitely have some favorite DB ships I have total brainrot for! 🥰

• I'm only multiship bc it's too hard to singleship. Most writers turn inactive after a while. 😔

What plot points would change due to the inclusion of your character in canon? / Katerina

so in kat's bio, i've definitely tried to keep as close to canon as possible so that other people don't have to adjust their canon to fit my oc too much.

that being said, if i had it my way there would have 100% been a plot point surrounding kat being engaged/married at some point likely in one of the earlier seasons. and not even necessarily to loras, as much as i find kat and loras' potential dynamic fun, i think if kat were canon she would have been proposed as a wife to someone else who could be a better ally to the baratheons (without interfering with potential plans to marry joffrey to margaery). as one of the eldest and a young woman, she likely would have been the priority to have her married even before myrcella (and maybe even before joffrey). the scene where robert proposes joining their houses to ned might have even included a choice between marrying sansa to joffrey or robb to kat. obviously, the choice of your daughter becoming queen is hard to turn down so sansa would have probably still would have been sent to king's landing, but the choice would have been there. (i have arranged marriage brainrot for kat all the time so that's why this is first on the list lol)

cersei's prophecy also might change (but it also might not) the original prophecy scene goes as follows (this is just the quotes i got from here):

"When will I wed the prince?" she asked. "Never. You will wed the king." - ... "I will be queen, though?" asked the younger her. "Aye." Malice gleamed in Maggys yellow eyes. firstly, as much as i want to think cersei wouldn't be threatened by her own daughter that's simply not true. she loves her, but she knows ESPECIALLY as kat grows older that she would make a good queen. so i think cersei might think kat could be the younger and more beautiful queen that the prophecy talks about and would therefore put more effort into putting distance between her and the crown (circle back to my earlier marriage point)

ALSO while i don't entirely subscribe to the theory that myrcella is robert's trueborn daughter, the prophecy could stay the same if we're going off that theory because cersei would still have three children OR the prophecy would change to account for the fourth OR the prophecy wouldn't change because maggy didn't account for a twin because twins are in the womb at the same time so it would be four children but still three pregnancies.

kat would also have a much more independent character journey. in her current bio, i've tied her to specific characters/arcs at specific times to make it easier to integrate her into canon, but if she were canon her story would likely diverge at some point and she would have her own journey/independent plotline, i think this would start to happen when she meets hylla with one of the big events of her plotlines being joffrey's death, obviously, but also hylla's death happening shortly after. i cannot express how much of a major player kat would be from the beginning, serving as both a foil to cersei and someone with the potential to inherit the throne after all. i've always said kat doesn't want the iron throne she just wants to vibe, wield a sword, and kiss women somewhere where she won't be bothered, but that's exactly why she'd be good at it. after everything, she'd be a threat to the status quo because she grows more and more angry throughout the seasons as she loses people and her life as she knows it crumbles.

currently kat has a s8 compliant ending because i don't know where the books are going, if a certain someone ever finishes these books i'll probably make kat's ending more compliant with the books because fuck s8 all my homies hate s8. that being said, i wouldn't shy away from kat ending the story as a knight like brienne rather than creating her own house. whether she ends up knighted by sansa, daenerys, bran, whoever wins, if kat isn't queen (which is always something i'm interested in exploring) then i think she'd likely serve the crown as a knight or even hand of the queen/king.

oh these are exams administered not by the school itself but uh. by a company. who charges like 90 dollars per exam. that you statistically will probably not pass. and everyone buys into it because at least taking the course shows you try hard. which helps you get into a good university. better if you scored a 4 or 5, which then again you need to pay to report to Each School You Apply To

yeah im taking calc ab which is like. calc 1? and calc bc is calc 1 and 2 in the same amt of time? maybe its bcs all the smart kids go into calc bc is prob why the pass rate is good

oh yeah uh, the grading goes like ... this. they have very strict guidelines on how to grade. so for frq (free response question) if like any of x, x, or x are true, score whatever number it tells you to. if the response gets past those and if any of x x or x are true, score a 6 or smth. and whether the response reached that, depends on the ap graders, who are stuck into this huge place in like idk minnesota and they just grade all day. all day. like they have a quota of like 200 or 300 exams to go through and grade. for mcq its either right or wrong the computer can grade that they prob just scan it all in the scantron

for language yeah it depends on the teacher and how they prepare you for the test over the years you learn the language idk if you did the STAMP test or whatever but i got like one of the top scores in the class for speaking, a 5 5 6 7 (reading, writing, listening, speaking) so technically i have a good chance at ap japanese exam but am i going to sit through sensei's class for another year? hell the fuck no.

i have no idea where they got that, because i was like "tf is happening" this entire year. so like i don't know. but i passed.

ANYWAYS waaaaa ive been taking a break so its really hard for me to accept that i am hardworking even though a lot of people say so? maybe its because like every time i slack i get scolded by someone at home LOL but ive been resting the last 6 days so yeah (spring break)

thankyouuuu if i gibe up all my hobbies i really wont have anything left for me so i have to just. idk find some way to enjoy at least one of them and stick with it till i find something that brings me a lot of joy again 👍🏻someday

having at least one hobby you can go to to disconnect from responsabilities it's pretty much a need tbh writing is fun. drawing. having an insane brainrot over a cute bunch of pixels <3 anything works as long as it makes your life a bit easier. sometimes even silly things like talking to someone, finding a new game etc

As promised, here's me being so very creative about my OCs but just in the direction I like and not the rest.

I've been thinking about two very neglected OCs recently, those two guys whose chibi headshots I posted on my artblog the other day, Ambrose and Léonie. For a long time I only had a vague Team Rocket/some kind of spy vibe for them and didn't know what to do with it, but with the James Bond brainrot I've finally found where I want to take this :D

So I'm slowly making up a vague knock-off secret service for the "main" country of my world, who doesn't have a name (yet!) but is where almost all of my OCs live and also is like, the equivalent of England. It's vibes only for now until I do some uh, research (watch/read more spy stories and some wikipedia articles) but I'm having fun.

Anyway in there the people who do some kind of important stuff (ie not the clerks and Jim the doorman) have work nicknames for uh style and identity protection reasons. Those nicknames are qualities and/or names you could see on a ship from the navy, because I'm me, and they kind of like, pick one or get one assigned when they get their contract as Someone Important, which they then keep the rest of their career. The only exception is heads of departments, whose names are kind of titles, in that the head of tech is always called the same name because it comes with the territory of being head of tech. Generally they'll find themselves a nickname based on that quality name, because those names can be long and they don't really sound like names, but it's not mandatory.

Examples of people and their names include:

Superb and Temeraire, aka Sue and Tem, aka Léonie and Ambrose, who are kind of the protagonists because they were there first and they're close-ish to my main OCs (funfact: they're named after the two other Bellerophon-class dreadnoughts besides the HMS Bellerophon, the HMS Superb and HMS Temeraire, though you'll note that this Temeraire is neither the Fighting Temeraire from the painting or the french ballistic missile submarine Le Téméraire)

Constant (Con), Industrious (Dusa), Innovative (Nova) and Sharp (who goes by Sharp but will use Shaun if there's need for a real person name) for the tech guys

Steadfast (Ed), Glorious (Laurent), Ambitious (Amy), Illustrious (Luce), Mellifluous (Mel) and Spirited (Pilar) for guys I have yet to sort, though I want Luce to be some kind of secretary to some higher-up

And the heads of departments: (I still have to think about which departments there should be but this is the tentative list)

Big Boss Man, highest-up, the head of everything, Majestic. The current one uses Jasper and he got cooler with age (before that he was Triumphant, aka Phil)

The head of tech is Ingenious, current one is Jen (she used to be Daisy, short for Audacious) Her second in command/next in line is Constant, who as I said will use Con until he retires because Jen made such a big impression as Ingenious people just kept calling him Con right after she retired and the name stuck (and because I couldn't find a nickname I liked)

Head of security is Vigilant, currently it's Gillian

Head of intelligence (?) is Observant, who goes by Linda (it's short for Belinda)

and beloved head of medical, Conscientious, my girl Siobhan (let me tell you I had trouble finding a name that would work but I'm so happy about that one) She used to be Courteous but I haven't found a nickname for that yet haha

You might have noticed that the names are generally qualities they should embody in their specific line of work and area, especially the heads of departments, and it's not a hard and fast rule but generally the names fit the type of work they do. Also none of them have real person names except Ambrose and Léonie because I don't need it for now and I don't feel like finding names for everyone right this instant lol.

I've got sooo many more, ranging from normal (Agile, Daring) to obvious (Indomitable, Earnest, Resolute) to kind of strange (Queer, Swiftsure, Odd, Silly, Immortal) to a few that are more negative than positive but sound cool (Furious, Venomous) The weirder ones aren't assigned btw, or even on the lists of available names, their holders would have to think of them on their own and ask for them. The idea is that some people would actually be happy with/proud of being called odd or silly or queer or venomous, but you can't just call someone that unprompted for the rest of their career y'know.

Here's the list (for now), if you've got nickname ideas feel free to contribute :) (the names in fuschia are doubles because I used lists of ships from both the french and british navies to find names and there's multiple Intrepids)

Idk why but sometimes my brainrot goes full on Ace mode,,, like, so many people dislike him because he's a bit of an ass, but he seems really friend shaped to me.

Like, I can imagine Ace being physically affectionate, just in a more rough brotherly way? I have an MC / OC who's really short and I keep on imagining him ruffling his hair when he does good because he imitates his brother, you know?

He's just, like, the king or affectionate yet irritating hair ruffles, and slightly too hard hugs, and pats on the back that knock you slightly off balance but also say 'yeah I think you did good there buddy'.

Idk, I just wanna be his pal...

(Also I've written an angst thing about him and the reader just kinda chatting as they pass out after being injured pretty badly which cemented my love for him, so there's that lol)

All banter and slander I ever post about Ace is to hide my soft side for the trickster boy aaaaaa he's very cute, honestly, his design and personality fit so well!!

OKAY, BUT ALL YOU DESCRIBES IS LIT HOW I SEE HIM BEHAVE WITH DEUCE AND MC+GRIM 🥺💖 Play fighting, shoving and giving them a noogie from time to time when they're being fools, not hesitating to show his emotions and affection through touch (even if it's rough around the edges). Ace really takes up to his brother with how he behaves, he just wants to be perceived as a cool, fun guy! (PUNCH toxic masculinity in the face and show boys around him that it's okay to show you care)

Sure, he can sometimes be rude and poke terrible fun at people, but next moment he may very well be reassuring them they're a nice friend

i like to think that isaac is stronger than clara elemental wise (not just vision countering just he is a tactical nuke when it comes to elemental damage) but he never truly delved into it because he is scared of what he can do or he think “oh well clara can do it better so if doesn’t matter”

it’s something i wanted to bring up because i feel isaac does have a lot of capabilities, but it hindered by his insecurities. maybe making his powers more reflective on his emotions like lisa lol (she makes thunder and lightning when she is mad i love her) so when he feels is most insecure he can barely make a snow flake and that is what makes people think he can’t use his vision but when he feels stronger emotion he can make winter storms and hail and shit (stronk boi but he just feels down all the time)

also i think claras trauma is the pressure she holds herself to. she is little miss perfect and must keep that up. if she can’t then what will they think of her. everything that she strives to be will be for nothing if she can’t prove that everyday she is worth something. that she HAS something to upheld. she wants to prove her value.

she is the one everyone goes to when you think of the ragnvindr name you think of clara. if she fail even once it would be all put on her. i feel like she kind of resents isaac for that fact because he doesn’t have to deal with that (though he does in a different sense because they view him as the more useless member sobs) and no matter what she is the shoulder they lean on. clara has a lot social responsibility and work responsibilities and that defines her worth. if she can’t do that she might had well disappear.

so while isaac must feel like he can’t amount to anything because his sister will always be better than him

clara feels as though she do everything perfectly or there isn’t any reason to do it at all.

i think it all boils down to both of them wanting to be worth something they just have different ways of handling it

they both need a moment where isaac is the hero and they can see him as isaac and not clara’s twin, and clara can see that she is more than her name and can be worthy without peoples opinions

sorry this took me so long to answer but YES! this is so goooooooodddd

the kids are technically my ocs and i realized that while they’re fictional, i wanted to try and make them as realistic as possible. and i feel like the twins are the most relatable, especially to everyone with a sibling close in age. it’s hard to not compare yourself to them all the time and my twins are no exception.

i can only imagine how hard it is to carry a name like ragnivindr and not mess up on any plane. like you said, clara having to be the hero all the time and isaac almost living in her shadow.

eeeeeeee i’m gonna write something about them eventually but for now — take me and 🍞’s brainrotting :))
