(So I was poking around codelyoko.fr for more stuff on Odd and went into their DeviantArt group’s fan art folder and then ended up on someone’s art that was about some kind of “Odd Appreciation Day” from 2013 and apparently I was the one who organized it. I can’t believe I completely forgot about it O.o Man, that makes me miss the days when the fandom felt like a close knit community :c especially when there were a lot of RP blogs, from canons to OCs, it was so much fun. Sure wish I could relive those days...

*ahem* alright I’ll stop rambling now and try to attempt a draft or two ‘cause I got replies to do :P )

Random thought, but...

is it weird that I sometimes wish I was popular or one of the “cool kids” on here? Like those who regularly get ask memes sent in (don’t have to beg and plead) and have ppl actively appreciating their presence and eagerly awaiting threads and stuff. And also most importantly, not feel like I’m annoying everyone with my presence or my posts.

I actually used to be kinda popular back on my oddthepurplecat blog years ago, and it was so fun, I was always excited to be on because ppl would be happy to see me and I’d get a lot of asks for my muse...

"Y-yeah. Um... long time no see?" She said, trying to act perfectly calm as she tucked a loose strand of black hair behind her ear. The gesture also hid her wrist, where the numbers continued to read 00:00:00. She wasn't sure what to make of that, at all. Maybe Odd wouldn't notice, and everything would be normal. Maybe. "How've you been?"

Odd was out walking the streets, not really going anywhere in particular. It was good weather to take a walk anyways. He had always wondered about the number on his wrist, when he’ll find the one. So many times did he try to get someone, but it failed. At the time, he paid no heed to the timer on his wrist, and went ahead anyways. But after his previous failure, he finally gave up and decided to just wait for the timer to run out. As he walked, he occasionally glanced at his wrist to see it count down. It was getting closer and closer to the zero mark, so it had to be soon. When he saw it go to zero, he heard a familiar voice behind. The purple-clad teen turned around to see it was an old friend of his.

"Dani…?" Odd said, with some confusion. He opened his mouth to say something, but could not get any words out, so he simply stayed silent.

For Oddthepurplecat...

Now Odd was a very interesting lad.

The young man was talented in many different ways, and Thunder actually had a bit of a challenge thinking of a good gift to give his little brother...

At first, he thought to get him something art related...but no..that wouldn't be necessary....

Odd had a sketchpad..as well as perhaps a few drawing supplies....

He had heard Odd humming a familiar tune the other day...and had even stopped to watch in amusement as the lad rocked out on air guitar to a song called "Anyway you want it, That's the way you need it," by "Journey".

That is when it hit him...

Music....that boy loved music, and he had a pretty good idea of what genre it would be too.

He remembered Odd's brief air guitar jam session and smiled at the thought, and with that, he set to work, gathering wood, metal, metal guitar strings and other materials that would be necessary.

He worked hard into the night, comparing other models as well as their qualities and sound while working on Odd's gift.

He would tweak there..tune here...loosen there...tighten here and there..

until finally,..after a good paint job...

the boy's gift was done...

He picked up the object and gently ran his fingers across the metal strings...and then, without any hesitation, began to play a few chords and notes...

A soft satisfied grin came to his face..

Oh yes...

Odd's gift...was ready...

((I wish. Classes don't start until next week, but the Bookstore reopens tomorrow. Can't skip work. Can't afford to get fired. I'm already behind in rent and utilities and whatnot And honestly I'm the one that lives closest to the college. If the others can drive from an hour away, I certainly can drive 5 minutes.))

"Hey Hikaru and Akane." Odd runs up to them, carrying two small presents. "Sorry this is so late!" he smiled awkwardly, handing the two boxes to the bunny girls. (They were in two separate boxes of the same size, both small. Hikaru’s was wrapped in blue wrapping paper with a shiny green bow topping it, while Akane’s was wrapped in red wrapping paper topped with a shiny gold bow.)

"That's okay." Hikaru replied. "Thanks anyway."

Both of them opened the presents...

Ryuu was flying around this strange land with Phantom on his back. Ryuu was getting a bit annoyed at how Phantom was just hitching a ride when he knew that he could fly himself. "And why are you not flying yourself?" The eight foot tall dragon with black scales and orange belly scales. His tail had spikes running down and had an arrowhead tip. "Because this is easier." Phantom retorted sticking his tongue out at Ryuu. "You know what I don't know where we are so I'm landing." Ryuu said landing on the ground with a soft thud. Phantom slid off of Ryuu's back. "Ok are those candy canes?" "I don't know." Phantom responded looking around. To him it looked like something out of a child's dream.

In a universe where everyone is born with numbers on their wrists counting down to when they'll meet their soulmate, send me 00:00:00 for my muses reaction to their numbers hitting zero when they meet yours.

Dani wondered, now and then, when her clock would run out. The numbers seemed higher than they were for most people. It didn't really matter; she didn't have time for a boyfriend, much less a soul mate. But still, it was hard not to wonder.

The wondering ended one day, that started out like any other. She didn't have any particular plans; she was just going to go out, explore the city. It had been years since she'd been to France. As a child, she'd had friends there, but they'd long ago fallen out of touch. While wandering along, though, she caught sight of someone vaguely familiar, walking in the same direction. She sped up slightly, smiling as she became more and more sure. It couldn't be anyone else.

"Hiya!" She said, as she reached out to tap his shoulder... then immediately froze, as the numbers on her arm flashed, then stilled. 00:00:00. Time was up. And her childhood friend was, apparently, something more.
