Welcome to the OC Halloween Challenge 2020!

For those of you who do not know and even those who do, the OC Halloween Challenge is a month-long Halloween themed challenge for OC creators. It is designed to encourage creativity, foster community, and have fun! Also, special thanks to @randomestfandoms-ocs for being my biggest help this year!

To participate in the OC challenge, you can make any kind of edit (unless it is more specified) or writing for the following themes leading up to and on Halloween! Some of these have guidelines/suggestions, but this is very much a free-for-all so you can ignore them if you don’t want them.

RULES

Do not copy others edits and PLEASE be sure that if you make crossover edits, the other person is okay with it. I know some people have lists of OCs they are not comfortable doing crossovers with. DAY ONE: Your OC As An Uncommon Supernatural

No demons (the typical Supernatural black-eyed ones), witches, werewolves, or vampires.

DAY TWO: Fairytale AU

Not, of course, Disney (separate thing). But not exclusive to Grimm fairytales.

DAY THREE: Turn Your OC Into Their Own Disney Prince/Princess’

NO canon character aus. Although, I suppose it could be a sibling au. Maybe think of it as making a Once Upon A Time oc lol.

DAY FOUR: Superhero AU

Self-Explained, once again not an “oc as canon character thing”

DAY FIVE: Power Rangers AU

Power Rangers made a comeback in this year/last (lots of ocs) + it was a suggestion so!

DAY SIX: Your Fic As A Children's Show

This can be an au of a real show. Or you can turn your fic PG-13!

DAY SEVEN: Your OC In Their Favorite Show

An interesting switch on a “oc in your favorite show” from last year, suggested by Maddie!

DAY EIGHT: Buzzfeed Unsolved AU

DAY NINE: Text Message/Social Media AU

You know that tap message app by Wattpad? This challenge was kind of inspired by that... and Assassination Nation.

DAY TEN: Your OC As A Celebrity

A more general version of last years “Your OC As A Youtuber”

DAY ELEVEN: If Your OC Was Canon

DAY TWELVE: A Beloved Object Or Pet Becomes Human

oc halloween challenge day 13 → time travel au

↳ When Beatrix Potter stole the Time-Turner, it was not to change the future. It was not to be a warning to wizards of that time of the tragedy and devastation that was only a few short months away from obliterating their lives. Bea had long since come to terms with the tragedy of the past and had learned to accept it and let it go, lest it consume her. No, this journey from 1998 to 1978 was about closure. Closure for the tattered heart of a young girl who had never got to say goodbye to her parents before they were torn from her. And all she wanted, all she prayed for, was a glimpse, just a glimpse, of the people they had been in the days when war hadn’t yet put its stained hands on them. And then she would take that memory with her back to her time, and let it be the balm that finally soothed her aching heart. That had been the plan.

And then she saw him.

For one impossible moment, she thought that Harry had somehow come back in time with her, but that thought was only a passing breeze, there one second, and gone the next, as James Potter tilted his head back and laughed her laugh as loud and free and wild as a thunderstorm in the night sky. She took no notice of the three boys standing next to him in the hallway, and if she had, she would have noticed the familiar way the boy on the left held himself, shoulders slightly hunched, light brown hair falling into eyes that were far too weary for a boy his age, would have recognized the tussled black hair and proud smirk of the boy to the right, would have shivered in anger at the sight of the small, timid boy who so plainly did not fit in with the others. But she saw none of it, for her eyes were to busy drinking in the sight of the boy with messy black curls, forever falling over glasses that did nothing to hide the bright hazel eyes eyes that she saw in the mirror every day behind them. 

James Potter. Her father. 

Something in her began to crack, but she had no time to think pull herself together before someone rounded the corner and filled her line of vision, and she didn’t need to see the way James brightened like a flower under sunlight to know who it was.

Burnished red hair a couple of shades lighter than her own, brilliant green eyes Harry’s eyes, and an exasperated, affectionate smile, no doubt a direct result of the boy who was currently throwing his arm around her shoulders while simultaneously taking the many books from her hands and planting a kiss on her cheek. 

Lily Evans, soon to be Potter. Her mother. 

It was their Seventh Year at Hogwarts. They had only just started dating a few months ago, yet anyone who looked at them knew that they were made for each other. 

And at the sight of her parents, young and carefree and in love and happy, her heart, her carefully mended heart, gave one weary shudder before the force of her grief flooded it like a tidal wave, tearing it apart and leaving devastation in its wake.

Because in one year they would be married, in one year they would find out they were expecting twins, were expecting her and Harry, and in one year they would learn the terrifying knowledge that their unborn son was the target of the darkest wizard of all time. In one year they would go into hiding, would finally meet their children and would spend one fearful but blissful year with them before one moment, one betrayal would rip apart everything they held dear. 

She was looking at her parents, and they were joyful, content, in love, alive going to die in three years.

Beatrix Potter had gone back in time for closure. But she knew now that that had been a lie. She had not come back for a goodbye. 

She had come back to give her family a second chance at the life they deserved.

Sitting in an interrogation room, Ro cursed having ever considered going on a mission with Dr. Strange. Mystical time travel bullshit.

The blond agent took a seat in the chair across from her. 

“Let’s take things from the top shall we?” he said in a patronizing tone. “You tried to sneak in here, got apprehended by our men, and now you think you’re in the position to make demands as to who you get to speak to? We’ve dealt with a Russian girl like you before, we don’t negotiate with communists.”

“For fuck’s sake, dude! I’m from Queens.” 

“And yet you refuse to give us any name, address, or tell us how and why you sought out the SSR.”

“I’m here to speak to PEGGY CARTER. Do you need me to say it in Russian for it to compute in your 1940′s brain?”

OC Halloween Challenge Day 4 - Superhero AU

Molly Davis as Lady Liberty

The first child experiment of Hawkins National Laboratory was not a child who possessed the ability to make people obey her, but rather one with superhuman strength. She never escaped the lab, but instead became a symbol of American propaganda, a patriotic symbol that the nation could look to during the height of the Cold War.

Molly Davis was the name they assigned her, along with a normal, nuclear family. Hawkins became famous nationwide for being the birthplace of Lady Liberty.

↳ The cast of the Netflix original tv series, The Marauders: A Moment In Time, are here with us for the first time at San Diego Comic Con to promote their new show which fans have been eagerly waiting for. Netflix has kept everything involving the show tightly under wraps, so much so, that no one even knew the show was being produced until the popular streaming service revealed the teaser poster just last month. Understandably, fans of the Harry Potter world went crazy at the announcement and essentially broke the internet. Today, fans waited in a line that wrapped around the building in order to see the cast that was revealed for the first time on stage, and every one that we spoke with said the wait was more than worth it. More details, including the cast list, a summary of the show, and the much anticipated release date, will be announced soon, so stay tuned.
