Imagine a meet cute with Psimon. A calm, quiet day at one of the Light's bases. No fieldwork. Just a lazy sunrise filling the windows of Luthor's building with brilliant color as you, a new recruit, sit basking in the Light.

The whole morning this far had been quiet, only interrupted by measured, even footsteps. Barely a moment passed before the person rounded a corner. Now, facing you, was senior Light member Psimon. He held a cup in each hand, and only a few moments later, was crouching barely in front of you. The clear dome over his brain seemed to warp the colors of the sunlight, refracting into a beautiful rainbow on the far wall.

"I saw you alone up here.. two hours ago."

He handed you one of the cups, which warmed your hands as you accepted it.

"What have you been doing here, all this time?"

"Watching the sunrise." You scooted back slightly, offering space in the warmth of the sunlight falling through the window. "Care to join me?"

Cameron Mahkent x gn reader (established relationship)

You fell from your place floating in the air, exhaustion creeping over you. Stabilizing the reactor had taken all of your energy albeit your earlier concern was most certainly being made valid. You felt like you could sleep for weeks. A throbbing ringing filled your ears as the world became spotted. Your feet couldn’t find the ground, contact was imposible considering your position. Within an instant you knew you would be blacking out, you only hoped there would be someone to catch you.

“I swear to God, Luther and Thawne better be ready the next time I see them. Mage could have died from that.” Your eyes remained shut, as you held onto every word surrounding you.

“It wasn't on purpose,” the voice of the one and only Psimon filled your ears.

“Yea, Junior, them doing that just thickened up their skin. They’ll be more ready the next time,” the eldest Terror Twin said. His counterpart hummed in agreement in the background.

“How about we just let them rest,” Devistation offered to the group, “Icicle, you can shut off the lights and shit. We have things we need to do.”

Cameron grumbled as the others chuckled, walking out of the room. The sound of the heart monitor you were attached to beeped to your right. Slowly you opened your eyes after the ice meta turned off the overhead light. The lamp at your bedside remained on and you glanced across the room to the last member of your messy, unagreeable team.

“Yeah, if Reverse shows his face any time soon I’m going to pin him in the air and leave him there so he can’t phase himself free,” you said from the medical bed you were laying on.

Cameron’s head turned quickly, looking over you once, and then he bounded across the room. He swiftly lifted you up and into his arms. The embrace was cool and kind as you returned the sentiment engulfing his body with yours.

“You scared the shit out of me, babe,” Cameron pulled back to look at you.

“Yeah, well someone has to keep you on your toes,” you smiled back at him. Cool lips pressed against your own softly and sweetly. His hand traced your cheek carefully, still worried that you would fall away again. You pulled back just enough so that your foreheads touched as you nuzzled into his space.

“I think I’m kept on my toes enough,” he said in response as you hummed at his answer, taking in his presence.

“Maybe I just thought we needed something exciting to happen. However, I was not expecting that much kickback,” you chuckled lightheartedly.

“Why would you want to put yourself through something like that?” Cam asked. “I know you didn’t think it would go well and warned them that they were underestimating the job. You could have said no,” he whispered. His eyes were sad as he stared into yours waiting for an answer.

You brought your own hand up to his cheek. “Because I knew I’d be okay. Sure, in the moment I wasn’t fine, but I’m alright now, C. This is what we do. This is our responsibility-“

“I don’t want that responsibility. If you’re going to get hurt or pass out from shit then you shouldn’t do it and no one should fucking expect you to. I want you to be safe.” His hands grasped the one at your side.

“Cam, this job we do, it will never be safe, for either of us,” you said calmly, trying to cool the always cold criminal off.

“Then…” Cameron said, his eyes up at the ceiling as he bit his lip in concentration.

“Then?” you prompted softly, awaiting his answer. As his thoughts continued to race you patted his hair and left a gentle kiss on his temple.

“Why don’t we leave?” he asked, finally returning his gaze to you.

“Why don’t we leave?” you repeated. Your brow furrowed in confusion.

“Yeah, we can just go. The world is our oyster,” he said giddily, grabbing your hands in his, “we could run away together. We could, we could, elope!”

“Cameron, babe, I love you. But do you even know what that word means?” you questioned gently.

“Yeah, we leave everything behind and run off into the sunset free from our responsibilities,” he replied innocently with anticipation. His eyes were wide and shined brightly for your response.

“Look, Cam, I’m-I’m all for leaving if you want to leave. I’d follow you to the end of the world. However, I still don’t think you completely understand the connotation of that word,” you admitted.

“Yeah, yeah, look, we can travel the whole world together. Hang out in the Caribbean, tour Europe together, visit Italy, and travel through Rome. Trust me, I’ll make that honeymoon worth your while,” he grinned smugly, sending you a wink.

You slapped his arm jokingly with a roll of your eyes as he feigned injury, “Dick.”

“That’s what I was implying, babe,” he smirked.

“Well,” you chuckled, dancing your hand up his arm finger by finger, tracing all the way up to his shoulder, “if you promise to take me to Europe, you won’t have to wait for the honeymoon.”

Cameron’s eyes widened as he shot up from his spot beside you, “okay, let’s go. Time to get a move on, up and out of bed, babe.”

You smiled at his antics, kicking your legs over the medical bed and rose from your place. Your hands easily found his, pulling him back in. The smile on your face held affection as the look in your eyes contained excitement for the future and comfort in what was to come. You brought him closer, reattaching your lips, looking forward to the rest of your life beside him.

So the question remains-- Does Icicle Junior know the identity of everybody who went to Miss Martian and SuperBoy’s wedding?

We have several people who are unmasked and some who aren’t. Weddings have guest lists. People drop real names by mistake sometimes.

Are they hinting with this appearance that he might at least consider switching sides? Going rogue? Or, at the very least, double-agenting? I can’t see a super villain who went to Belle Reve, worked for Queen Bee and the Light actually not still being watched by them.

“Hey Junior, why are you hanging around with the good guys? You went to WHO’S WEDDING NOW?”

His team, Onslaught, if it wasn’t disbanded officially by any means, had Psimon on it. A dude that reads minds. If you don’t think for a second he wouldn’t rip Cameron’s psyche open for juicy undercover details on the team, you’re a FOOL. Or there’s always a chance that Zatanna or M’gann could magic/mind manipulate out most of the information from Junior... buuuut..

Maybe if they renew, we’ll get another side and a deeper part of his story. He deserves that much at least since they cared enough for the writers to bring him back. I can only hope.

Can you do headcanons for a female centuries old vampire reader (possibly a old mother-like figure for Klarion) joining the Light and being a mother role rival of Queen Bee for Klarion and Onslaught? Like it doesn’t matter that they’re all hardened criminals or whatever most of them are squishy and mortal and need her to protect them from the tight-wearing wackos out there!!

- You've always had a certain fondness for mortals, Klarion knew that much. You fed from them but you only took what you needed and let them live, much to Klarion's curiosity.

- It's one of the things that he admired about you because he never could understand why you seemed to admire them so, but after he joined the Light, that admirance only grew for you.

- He decided to introduce to Onslaught, after all, he loved seeing you happy and happy you were when Queen Bee and him introduced the team to you.

- Psimon can't read your mind, it's too warped and old, so having a vampire who he can't understand was kinda worrisome for him but eventually, as he talked to you, he was fairly surprised to hear you ask questions about him and what it's like being a human or meta-human.

- Devastation, Tommy, and Tuppence honestly think you're being super condescending when you try to take care of them but you're not, you actually do love them and want them to be safe. When they realize you're being genuine, it's a bit of a surprise but they do end up warming up to your.

- Junior once made the mistake of once flirting with you and while Klarion wouldn't harm one of you precious humans, he did use his magic to give Junior horrible nightmares until you told him to stop.

- You somehow find a way to communicate with Shimmer and Baran, they don't usually talk much but yet you guys have like your own silent language because you three just look at each other and walk away with a smile on your faces and everything.

- Naturally, you don't like Queen Bee or that fact that she doesn't even care for your humans. Whenever one of them get hurt, you get mad and whenever you get mad, Klarion gets mad.

- Onslaught was a villain team that was formed by the lowest of the low, delinquents who wouldn't be missed if one of them got hurt but now, you've kinda given them a new meaning. You treat them like family and they start to grow as a family.

- Klarion refers to them as your 'pets' because, well, what else would they be? However, he does get jealous sometimes when you pay attention to them instead of him but considering you've been with him for quite a long time, you know how to calm him down and everything.

- Honestly Onslaught would rob blood banks for you so you don't have to go out hunting and always keep them in stock for you, you were so happy when you saw their gifts to you and had a toothy grin on your face as you awed at your sweet humans.

- You can and will kill people that hurt them. Cameron's dad is being a jerk to him? You just flash your fangs at his dad and letting him know that you won't tolerate your ice boy being mistreated.

- If a hero hurts one of your villains to the point where something is broken or injured or scarred, then they will have to deal with your wrath.

- It's the only good thing Klarion likes about your fascination with humans because he thinks you're cute when you're blood thirsty.

I made this post about Devapsimon dates, but what happens when they have a third wheel?

Cameron wasn't exactly thrilled to have babysitters

And the couple just wanted some alone time

But Queen Bee and Luthor figured that it was an appropriate punishment for a failed mission

A nice, funded date in a private room, away from prying eyes

Except for those of their comrade

Dinner was SILENT

Psimon and Devastation spent the whole hour or so glancing at one another, talking telepathically

And Cameron figured it'd be rude to interrupt

Not even being snide like he would've under any normal circumstances

The whole babysitting thing knocked him down a few pegs

And he'd rather not have his ass kicked by Devastation, thank YOU

Only sounds were their hurried orders and a few coughs as Cam semi-tried to break the silence

Eventually they all made it back to base, intact

Promises were made to not fail anymore missions (for fear of embarrassment, on Cameron's part)

Promises were broken

After the first few times, dinner became more tolerable

There were discussions about what could have gone better during the mission

And a few jabs about the "poor, overworked cousins" having to babysit, on date night, after a trash day

Cameron laments that they could be having double dates, if Tuppence ever agreed to go out with him

Psimon assures him that the Twins are having a punishment of their own

(Turns out they get separated and sent to kidnap teens away from each other 🥲)

Like instead of execution or getting fired, no, you have to take this mans with you to Chillis—

Not just Chilli's babe! This is the Light! They're not skimping out. There's a whole room, if not restaurant, reserved for their date nights. Full wine menu, desserts, whatever.

Queen Bee knows these are her best workers. Replacing them would be more trouble than anything, so they just need some motivation to do better next time, right?

Even if it doesn't work, they're still cool working w/ her and don't want to try staging a coup. It works out for the Light in the end (even if Devastation and Cameron complain about the third-wheeling dates for a week after.)

I’m rewatching Young Justice and got to the episode “Secrets” and in disbelief that ghosts are a canon thing in this universe and only one ghost is shown ever (to my memory). So I will propose to you the sleep deprived and caffeine infused idea that has been plaguing my mind for the past few hours:

Onslaught encounters a temperamental ghost haunting there base….shenigans ensue

PLEASE, that’d be so fun. I gotta rewatch that episode. I don’t know the exact details, but if Greta is the only ghost we see (I’m guessing things like the spirits of people in the Fate helmet are different things and she’s our only example) …idk…ghosts can’t speak much if at all, they float, disappear, reappear, touch some things but other things go through her? Manifest images with enough effort. I’d assume they get telekinesis privileges.

That’d be chaos. Idk if a ghost could even harm Onslaught but oh, the psychological warfare would be so effective. It would drive them crazy. I don’t think any of their powers could even work on a ghost either so they just can’t do anything about it.

I honestly think it would straight up take them days to consider “Oh hey, maybe we should help the ghost rest or something.” As opposed to violence. Which is unfortunate for them since that looks to be…like…the ONLY way to fix a haunting. XD oh man it’d be chaos

Man, I got too many clips of Onslaught in my camera roll. You know it’s bad when your phone won’t let you open your dang camera, email, glitches you delete stuff, crashes your browsers (tho that may have to do with the 1849 tabs but I digress)
