P5t dlc having Akechi means poor Sumire is gonna have to third-wheel Shuake again. Like did you see that teaser? She’s gonna be going through it.

underrated tactica dlc moment when this little mouse girl literally explodes into a puddle of colourful censored gore in sumi's arms and in an attempt to comfort her in the most awkward way goro goes "ah don't be upset, there there, she might not be dead" bro

playing the tactica DLC. i love it but i suppose my biggest issue is the fact that they pick the perfect group for it, but because of the point in time they set it + the dedication to avoiding royal spoilers means the most interesting possibilities for interactions have been cut

unhinged p5r/p5t au
So, this unhinged persona 5 idea starts with sumi in Maruki’s office, where in the main game, she gets hit with the magic Minecraft name tag of unhealthy coping mechanisms. However, for whatever reason it doesn’t work this time, leaving her as herself, slowly recovering, probably in a more healthy way. This leads to her not latching on to joker nearly as much, and maybe finding some internet friends or something but anyways,
instead of awakening to her persona in maruki’s palace, she gets unintentionally dragged into okumura’s palace, encountering joker and awakening there instead, but still not joining the phantom thieves
this then results in her being a semi-distant acquaintance of joker, and only knowing akechi from tv.
this all culminates in the reason I even thought this up: repaint your heart, in which joker and akechi are both;
Realizing that there is some Romantic tension between them
Actively plotting each other’s demise
trying to hide facts 1 and 2 from each other while escaping the streets and not killing each other in front of their innocent unrelated acquaintance
All while the autisumi creature is utterly ignorant of all 3 facts and just kind of focused on the task at hand

On one hand I have really enjoyed the little bits of the dlc I've seen so far, on the other hand I wish that it was in the third semester so we could get feral akechi and Sumire as herself and I also wish the rest of the phantom thieves were there so we get more of them interacting with everyone else. I enjoy what I've seen so far, but it's hard not to think about what could have been, you know?

sorry to be a multi-shipper in front of akechi but
Joker and Erina have one-night/friends with benefits stand vibes like if she asked he'd be down and Erina is bold enough i think she would ask at least once if she was in the mood
listen they're black/white, catboy and ratgirl coded joker obv has a thing for people who are a little fcked up and could kill him I think he should be allowed to makeout with Guernica at least once in an abandoned alley

What if Tiefsee was in p5 tactics? Either with the cast in the main game or with Akechi and Kasumi in the DLC

Thanks for the RYH food. Genuinely upset why they decided to make it non-canon at the last minute. Unlike Q2 and Dancing, I feel like RYH could’ve fit well into canon with little to no consequences. I thought it was until Guernica randomly said at the end “By the way this isn’t canon bye!” and it shows the trio like “Well… I guess that wasn’t canon then!” They don’t even provide a reason why it happens.
mm, disagree. it was clear from the beginning that whatever happened wasn't going to 'happen' given it's set during that one point in november every p5 spinoff needs to take place in, and the whole thing about akechi and sumire finding out the other has a persona.
i figure the 'reason' is something like jerri is working for salmael, salmael's offer to the PTs for letting them go home involves wiping all their memories and the only way around that is to defeat him, he's still a standing god by the end of the DLC so those rules still apply? there's a lot of little things like that in p5r that never really get explained, (the concept of awakening twice, a palace ruler having a persona, that sort of thing) and it is fun to make theories about how it works, but i think (especially given the game is literally about the power of the heart) it's more important to think about those things from an emotional character perspective.
and from a character perspective... i don't mind it. guernica remembers what happened to some degree, and she's the focus character here. from that, her art inspires toshiro to rebel, and from that the main game starts. i think it's cute. sumire and akechi aren't in a space for character growth, and the sort of... abject loneliness they're both experiencing is important to their stories, which haven't resolved yet at the time of the DLC.
