Jaejoong appeared recently in KBS youtube channel (the KPOP) for a program called IDOL challenge.

The host for this ep with JJ is dindin.If you are not familiar with the latter ,he is close friend of yunho (some shipper even believe he was yh BF at some point).

The deluls yunjae shipper in 2023 went crazy saying it's a proof that yj are together,

2023 yjs You need some help and here some facts for you:

-DD is just the host.The one who invite people is the writer/PD and they surely wanted JJ to be in the program since his fans are rich (a donation by fans is organized in each ep) and all JJ appearances this year on SBS, MBC idol radio concert or this KBS YT channel were for charity programs.

-JJ and DD know eo before this.DD was invited to JJ company opening and JJ joked about the money DD borrowed from him.

-Speaking about borrowing money, it's strange for me,why borrow money from JJ and not YH , the latter is also rich and he was really close to DD, they did even some programs together.So not sure if yh and DD are still in good terms (in 2023).DD in the past (before Yh scandal) used to mention him everywhere but after the scandal he barely mention him or talk about him.Let me say that i'm not surprised by this, yh friends were always from the same nature (from his 85 club before the split to this day).

If you think that statement is going to change anything you've either not been around long enough or you've not been paying attention.

As a general rule, if you can avoid even acknowledging a typical k-pop fan you should, because all those stereotypes muggles have about stans in these communities are well earned. I mean, there are exceptions, but K-pop stans are notorious for trolling, double-speak, and employing a shopping list of various logical fallacies. They're some of the pioneers and/or early adaptors of modern internet-speak in that way, the nature of many conversations in spaces like this is extremely dysfunctional and should usually be avoided because it's self-defeating. So all ADOR has done by putting out that statement is add fuel to fire lmao.

Their first mistake is thinking that statement is how you address k-pop stans. Because the frenzy around NewJeans is not about protecting minors, or inappropriate lyrics, or anything like that. If it were, k-pop stans wouldn't be hyper-focusing on one group when they are far from the only group guilty of all this and worse.

The point is to create an 'ick factor' to handicap the group and I'll explain what I mean (it's something that happens all the time in k-pop). The narrative is that NewJeans is especially deserving of this scrutiny because don't you know their CEO is a pedophile? So therefore NewJeans makes music for pedophiles and all their fans are secretly or naively supporting pedophiles disproportionate to the baseline number of creeps who stick around k-pop spaces anyways.

Nobody knows if Min Heejin is actually a pedophile. I think it's unlikely she is because there is nothing that points to this being the case, but even if all the rumours about her were true, in the worst case all they'd indicate is that she or someone she knows has a creepy taste in movies by some standards. But it's not enough to say the CEO of the hottest group in Korea right now might have creepy taste in movies. After all, then we'd also be up in arms about JYP being bffs with R. Kelly (currently serving time), or YHS and his brother talking about how cool it was to marry a trainee he met when she was 14 years old (I'll skip Lee sooman for now lmaooo). Heck, it could even implicate Bang PD and his ties to Scooter Braun cause some Republicans apparently think he's one of the people funding Pizzagate. So it's not enough to think Min Heejin is creepy cause then which k-pop CEO isn't, she has to be an actual pedophile so the talking points around NewJeans have staying power.

It's the perfect narrative. Because if you're convinced the creator of a group with children is a danger to children, then:

you have a reason to put everything they do under a microscope,

you have every reason to second-guess their motives and intentions and assume bad faith, including when they put out a statement explaining their reasoning and approach to including lyrics some people consider controversial,

it's even reasonable to demand that the CEO be fired and the team replaced <- and this particular demand is what many of them are making.

NewJeans is the brainchild of Min Heejin and her leaving could seriously handicap the group. K-pop stans are demanding she step down because she's a pedophile, she denies she's a pedophile (of course) and so sees no reason to step down on what she considers to be a false charge, k-pop stans continue to have reason to (negatively) obsess about the group because there's no world in which it's appropriate for a pedophile to manage children.

It's the perfect narrative because it has no resolution. Min Heejin can never prove she's not a pedophile or extreme creep (in the best case). And so k-pop stans will always have this to use against the group.

Hyper-competitive environments quickly become toxic and one way this shows up is the creation of a scapegoat, such as the sort for people with narcissistic personality disorders. Scapegoating is very common in online and political communities. It's the logical basis for Republicans believing Barack Obama is the anti-Christ, or Taekookers obsessing with Jimin, or the Garam witch-hunt. And then there's the flashbacks I get to how k-pop stans treated 2014/2015 Bangtan - there's similarities here that I find very amusing.

Anyway, like I said in my first post on NewJeans, hate for them is only going to intensify. Their management team refusing to just put the song out with new lyrics also isn't helping. I think ADOR has made a mistake by expending so much of the goodwill they have defending lyrics that are sub-par to begin with.

Personally, I like Cookie and got nothing but cool vibes from it the first time I listened to it, and it seemed obvious to me from the MV that Cookie is a metaphor for a physical CD given all the times they alternate. But I get it if other people feel differently.

I wish the best for NewJeans. The girls all seem genuinely hopeful, and they're talented. The shift in musical direction this group has brought to k-pop is, in my opinion, the sexiest thing about them.

it's kinda funny and ik they don't mean it badly but my friend who's a still rather recently adult diagnosed asd and adhd will say things in convo like yh asd explains that or me doing that makes so much sense now in a like positive self accepting way and it's fine like one of the things i sometimes enjoy abt them is on chats they will like 100 text and keep switching subjects and it's just ahh crazy cool if the vibe/time is right for me and they're like yh the adhd explains that lol and we got a bit lost in uni and they were like yh tht makes sense the asd bc both examples are things that they've always struggled with that make more sense to them now post diagnosis which yeah great. but when i'm like i'm going back to isolation bc with the anxiety pmdd and my possible (b)pd traits i think that's best for me and it was like reconnecting with them made me realize how crazy things get for me when i'm in any type of relationships bc b4 that i was isolating for almost more than a year so the stark diff after thinking i was better and ready to re attempt relationships was like very obvi™ for me and despite understanding they keep telling me not to villainize myself and i'm not a bad person it's fine etc. and it's like ok yh besides the diff between official diagnosis and self diagnosis/speculation it's the same thing. i'm not villainizing myself and saying that is just like invalidating what ik to be true abt myself. like if i were to say no you don't get lost bc of asd stop making yourself seem stupid or smth tht wld be insensitive so why isn't it the same thing for other 'more' stigmatised conditions. and it's like a general kind of thing you'd see sometimes in a ignorantly and innocently trying to make the person feel better and then with actual malicious invalidating intent.

i think the current look at pds esp as rep by the dsm5 is rather wonky i think icd-11 is better but needs more depth and explanation to an extent but anyways th general consensus seems to be that bpd and schizoid are not comorbid™ and are opposites which is interesting bc bpd n avpd are comorbid n avpd n schizoid are comorbid so like lol? but i meet min. criteria for all but i feel like my the schizoid traits can be explained away by introversion and the avoidant by social anxiety. i feel like I've always preferred being alone and have little interest in forming friends usually nor do i really understand like why or how n why or how others are interested in interactions. I've had flat or blunted affect and dont really display emotions since a kid yet in certain settings depending on comfort level i do or am able to so i think the flat affect is to a certain level masking tho not always and when it's masking i think it cld be linked to the avpd and anxiety bc im scared of being awkward and judged. im fine being alone bc i feel most comfy n don't hv to deal with outside pressure i can just be myself yet the bpd traits kick in where im not sure who that self is so like yh im alone n it feels good but who am i do i even really like being alone idk. when im arnd others sometimes i become painfully aware of my aloneness and ostracization and i wish i cld connect with ppl but i always resort to thinking but no one wld want to interact with me anyways and also u hv nothing to talk abt ur so boring n yk general avpd perceived incompetencies narrative. there's also the bpd fears of ppl leaving but also of becoming attached which is embarrassing and stressful being in tht so involved state of mind caring so much the instability based on the person's interactions with me the splitting im also more of a quiet bpd which i think may link to the shizoid flat effect so the bpd inner turmoil drives me crazy bc no one understands that all of that is going on inside while i try to maintain being normal with the other person. im extremely sensitive since a kid n have rapid short lived mood n emotional changes but again most of that is internal. my most push pull fear of abandonment bpd traits occur when i let someone in ive actually nvr made a friend myself im always been befriend but yh if someone continues to show repeated interest eventually the distrust minimizes enough and they pass the avpd im sure i will be liked requirement n i let them in n soon the bpd attachment patterns kick in. i sometimes also idealise familiar strangers creating a narrative of them in my head sometimes wishing i cld actually speak to them or not but rarely ever doing so and when i hv the idealisation breaks n turns to devaluation bc they are ofc nothing like the months worth of characterization ive made abt them in my head. dissociation is also a problem for me which is schizoid n bpd overlap in particular. once im not in an attachment n in an isolated state with no friends or frequent connections the schizoid mindset dominates so i wonder if it isn't to an extent developed to combat the avpd n bpd longing for connection by putting up a front. the bpd ppl related symptoms also ease since the trigger ppl is missing but if i do have to interact with ppl like in school the avpd traits are strong. just in personal experience i do think they can also coexist unless i am misunderstanding something
