What was the book you were most excited about before you started reading it? I think I gotta give this one to Nona the Ninth. After seeing what Tamsyn Muir had done with worldbuilding and character- and narration-voice in the previous books, plus the inherent mystery of Nona personally (who is a delight and a half, a bundle of happiness and sunshine) I'd been fascinated to see what would happen next; plus seeing the rest of the blorbos develop and interact has been tremendous fun, across the series :].

A book you already want to reread? …I know it's not quite in the spirit of the ask, but. Dracula Daily was a delightful way to read the work, and I'm looking forward to future ones (and might have to see about e.g. Moby Dick or any other regular narrative). Normally if I have the sudden urge to reread something, I just…do so xD Although this has led to me having a fair number of books with varying levels of progress (and varying levels of reread); so the format of having to wait for each set of chapter(s) was a nice change of pace and reading experience!

The book with the prettiest cover? This category is difficult in a different way, in that it's difficult for me to single out any one over the others -- so I guess the honourable mention instead goes to the John Michael Greer translation of Gerard Thibault's Academie de l'Espee, whose cover is quite pretty, but who has beautiful printings of the plate of the original throughout as well. The details not only make it easier to see what Thibault is discussing in a particular section, but are also gorgeous.
