off topic - let’s talk about gaylena 👀

selena gomez is one of taylor’s oldest and bestest friends and given that she is in the 22 liner notes, a huge part of taylor’s life, and maybe fruity herself it seems like possibly we don’t talk about her here at the blog enough!

i don’t want to do a timeline of selena and taylor’s friendship - you can read more about that here, but they met back in the day when they were both dating jonas brothers and to me this idea of finding a real friendship in the midst of these contrived promances is pretty adorable.

ofc most of y’all think taylor is a fruit basket but i think there’s a good chance that selena is too!  i’m not saying she is for sure but y’all know me.  i’’m here to make a compelling case that everyone and their dog is gay so let’s gooooo!

i feel like there’s a chance they met through taylor but everyone in that squad adjacent circle knows one another.  cara dated michelle rodriguez for the first half of 2014 and then got with annie clark in March 2015 but it feels like it’s possible something has gone on between her and Selena from summer 2014 - early 2015? ...maybe something casual on and off a bit?

Now I’m not super familiar with Selena’s discography so y’all lmk if I’m missing anything major - lyric wise that point to her not being straight.

Julia Michaels is a singer/songwriter known for her song Issues.  I don’t know her sexuality but she at the least has gay vibes!  It seems they met around this time perhaps because Julia wrote on Revival.

They have a friendly enough friendship for a few years, liking one another’s posts on IG from time to time, posing for a photo a time or two and then they seem to get swept up into this very intense friendship in 2019.  They write some music together and Julia goes whole hog in promoting the shoe brand Selena is hawking this time 😭

Jirisan: Ask a Real Park Employee

notes:  TW for list below: mentions of suicide, body recovery. Also this list was for fun, I realize a national park in Korea will be vastly different than a small park system in the US

I made someone I know very well sit and watch a few episodes of Jirisan to get their takes on how rangers and parks are depicted. This person, whom I'll call A Real Park Employee (ARPE), has worked for a county metro park system in the US for a number of years. For reference states in the US are generally subdivided into counties, and this is a park department for a single county. They have 14,000 square acres of park and preservation areas and maintain 150 miles of trails. No mountains, but very hilly terrain with gorges and rivers. See below for pic I took while hiking in one of their parks in October.

Gear Shaming- ARPE: "It's real. You better have the good stuff. On the other hand having everything new and pristine is looked down on."

Spending All Your Free Time at the Park- ARPE: "Oh god, so true." Author's note: I can attest to that as the day I took the picture at the top of this post we were attending a public event to plant trees at one of the parks and it was attended mostly by park employees.

Hikers Making Their Own Trails- ARPE: "It's a constant problem- not just marking off trail paths, but we actually caught someone clearing an entirely new trail for mountain biking"

Poachers and Foraging- ARPE: "Another persistent problem- stealing animals like painted turtles to sell, and foraging plants. One employee saw a picture posted online of someone showing off the garbage bags full of moss and lichen they had stolen from the park. BTW- plants can be protected species the same way animals are. And plant habitats can be easily disrupted if not completely ruined by foraging."  

Suicides- ARPE: "Unfortunately true, also because we have rivers it's less about where they went in and more about where they surface downstream. Also bodies aren't pristine skeletons when they are found. They are either an intact mess or a skeleton that's spread far and wide by the animals that have eaten it."

Raging Rivers, Floods and Mudslides- ARPE: “All true, but the CGI is not as dramatic. Stay on the trail and if the trail is closed, it's for a good reason!”

Ranger Duties- ARPE: "Of course there are huge differences between this park (Jirisan) and mine, but most parks have Rangers who are the park's interface with the public (in our parks rangers are graduates of the police academy), Operations departments who maintain the trails and structures and Environmental departments where the biologists, botanists and cultural resources departments are housed. In the show the rangers did everything, but obviously a drama can’t have hundreds of characters!"

Rangers as Hot as Jun Ji Hyun or Joo Ji Hoon- ARPE: "False” (laughs)

Cultural Resource Person Nerding Out- ARPE: “Represent!”

Ghosts- ARPE: “People do hunt for them; to my knowledge none have been found.”

anon saying bts wearing rainbow shirts or recommending a song by a LGBT artist isn’t really support, well sorry but a lot of queer Armys did find comfort and validation in that, your message suggests you don’t really have an idea what being LGBT or just supporting us in a very homophobic country is... and about that picture of Jimin anon was referring to -the one with the rainbow on his cheek i guess- it’s something i haven’t seen being much talked about but i personally found it very brave. for me it felt like a statement and that pic makes me feel valid (jimin is my bias btw). it might look like nothing but i don’t think the rainbow colors were just for aesthetic (feel free to disagree) to make the pic pretty or whatever. maybe i’m reading too much into it but i’m pretty sure the boys (the pic was taken by rm if i remember correctly?) knew how it would be perceive, especially amongst queer Armys, and they still upload it, for me it was telling something. it might feel like nothing to you, just a detail, but it suggests something that’s not that easy to suggest in a society like SK. and look at how jungkook referred to lgbt artists over the years and his gcf, for me that’s already extremely brave cause it clearly suggests more than just support and i don’t think we can realize how much guts it requires to upload something like gcf in Tokyo for example. sorry for my English it’s probably not the best! have a nice day Rosie and thank you, your blog is a safe place for me i really appreciate it

I think it's respectable their opinion if for them the things they mentioned regarding rainbows don't mean support for the community. It's just as respectable that for you and many it means just that.

I think everyone gives different interpretations to other people's actions and that's not a bad thing. The important thing is to respect their opinions and not to generalise.

Isaac Theory Post

Why Isaac will become the Isaac the OG fans are talking about

I am making this theorey post partly because it’s fun and because I love all of our Castlevania Isaacs. I did much research for it, and tried to include things that feel like Castlevania. I give credit to @solidfalcon for helping me write some of it, and sitting there listening to me babble on and on about him for HOURS, and credit to @lucien-lachance for MANY OF THE IMAGES. She has a huge collection of Isaac pictures from the games, I’m so pleased!! Thank you both!!!!

Now, onto Isaac: from games to screen, he would change, though only to tell a great story. Isaac is a complex character whose story needs to be told with care and delicacy. His story in season 2 of the show is only beginning. Being without luxurious crimson locks barely changes his story, it only begins it. And it can only grow from there. I’ve never truly seen him transform before, except in my own headcanon-filled brain, so I’m THRILLED to finally be seeing it on screen!

This is Castlevania, where the design of a character is laced with storytelling and meaning. If Isaac is meant to stay proper looking and professional, he wouldn’t be the same character. His appearance right now doesn’t take away from who he is, it adds to him, and I’m going to go into detail as to why.

Animation Isaac vs Game Isaac

Game Isaac: Passion, Devotion To Dracula, ‘Evilness’, Knife Obsession, Vengeance, Wants to be the favourite, Uncomfortable to look at, Licks things.

Animation Isaac: Passion, Devotion To Dracula, ‘Evilness’, Knife Obsession, Vengeance.

I didn’t give animation Isaac the last 3 things that I put with game Isaac because we don’t know anything else. Season 2 isn’t even out yet. Therefore the rest of the post is where what we know about game Isaac becomes theory for animation Isaac. He’s an Isaac-shaped glass that is only a little filled, and it will continue to fill with more Isaac-ey goodness as the show progresses.

The Long Awaited Son

When some Christians hear the name ‘Isaac’ (with no last name) they think first, of Isaac:

Dracula’s story is sort of like an inverted Bible story, making it darker but also very clever if you know what you’re seeing. In Castlevania, although Dracula loved his first son, Alucard, he didn’t become the person he wanted him to be, a son who shared his views and would help him take revenge for Lisa. Now here we have Isaac who was taken in by Dracula as a child, the ‘son’ Dracula would have always wanted: Passionate about Dracula’s goal and willing do anything to make it happen. While Alucard cares for humanity, Isaac is passionate to destroy humanity, just like Dracula.

In the Bible, Abraham’s first born wasn’t what he wanted. His first born would become a person who was hostile, while his second son, Isaac would become everything he was promised, a great man who gave blessings.

Also: Isaac’s name means “laughter.” (Insert a gif of Isaac laughing here. I reached image limit in this post twt )

Child of Judas

Quote from Isaac’s page on the Castlevania wiki: “Isaac's name functions both as a hint that all isn't quite as it seems with him, and also as a reference to a particular bit of vampire lore. Biblically, Itzhak (Isaac) was the son of Abraham, who was almost sacrificed as a test of his father's faith. Unlike his namesake Forgemaster, however, Itzhak survived. The vampire folklore his name references appears in the short story "A Kiss of Judas" by Julian Osgood Field, writing under the pseudonym X.L. A principal character in this story is Isaac Lebedenko, who dies and, when reborn, becomes a type of vampire known as a Child of Judas in order to exact revenge on a deserving enemy. Interestingly enough, Children of Judas are said to have red hair.” Isaac’s name, as the quote says, is a hint that all is not quite what it seems, the same is true for his appearance.

Another quote from the same wiki page: “His clothing, too, is yet another hint as to his true nature. It appears as if Isaac is wearing only the remains of his former uniform. The Prelude to Revenge manga, packaged with the soundtrack sampler CD, uses Isaac's attire as a symbol of his mind unraveling. The madder he gets, the more tattered his clothing gets, until we see him in-game in purely ornamental armor bits and those strange pants. Thanks to Dracula's machinations, Isaac is only the broken pieces of the man he once was. Unfortunately, Isaac erroneously blames Hector for the destruction of his life.” ‘Only the broken pieces of the man he once was.’ What we are seeing right now IS the man he once was. We have yet to see him slowly unravel both outward and inward to become the person he’s fated to be. I’m looking forward to it!

My theory for why he could get his Castlevania appearance parallels both the Biblical Isaac and the vampire lore Isaac. Biblical Isaac was nearly sacrificed, then later became something great, while ‘A Kiss of Judas’ Isaac died and then returned to life as something terrible. Games Isaac was used as a vessel to become Dracula. Animated series Isaac is going to suffer, and go through a change, too, which may turn him into that same ‘vessel’ that he became in the games.

Isaac in games canon, after going insane from Dracula’s Curse, didn’t actually change physically, only his clothing melted away.

If in the animation he were to transform the same way as in the games, and physically as well, I think that would be stronger story storytelling. What changes physically is very easy to guess.

Blood Red Hair

Quotes from the Children of Judas page on vampires. com. (Which shows a picture of Isaac btw...) “This group of ruthless bloodsuckers were once found in Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania and you could recognize them due to their blood-red hair.” “These guys are known mainly by oral traditions.”

‘Mlem’

“Wicked vampires were said to have the power to drain their victim’s blood and life force with a single kiss or bite.”

Isaac isn’t a vampire in the game at this point in the above picture, but his kiss is still deadly~ (By that I mean he accompanies it with a knife stab). (Don’t worry, Trevor is ok, Isaac just wanted some Trevor blood.) Another thing that supports this theory is that the creators of the Castlevania series are very inclusive with their vampire lore. They want the show to be good, to be Castlevania, and also a great vampire story. So seeing as how we have yet to see the special ‘blood red hair’ of a ‘Child of Judas’ vampire, it’s safe to say Isaac may become one (in a sense). This is why game Isaac’s hair is redder and more beautiful than that of any other redhead we’ve seen in Castlevania.

Swoon~

The Dragon

As many know, Dracula’s name comes from Dracul which means ‘The Dragon’ or ‘The Devil.’ Dracula gets referred to as the Devil a lot in the animation, and in the games he also turns into a dragon when you fight him. Isaac is ‘a dragon’, and will become a vampire. This is true to games canon, as Isaac has, in fact become a vampire before, only, he became literally Dracula. The ‘Child of Judas’ similarities symbolized that the transformation would take place, as does his massive dragon tattoo that goes down his front, twists around his leg and slides up his back representing the Dragon. Animation Isaac does have tattoos, but none that we seen thus far are dragon-like. Not yet anyway~

(I drew the bottom right one for a closeup of the dragon face. The sketch to the left of it is official concept art.) When his clothing melts away and reveals the dragon tattoo, it symbolizes Isaac losing himself and becoming a dragon.

The Forgemaster crest displayed above shows two dragons. Both are Hector and Isaac. In the game, the Curse of Darkness attempts to transform the Forgemasters into Dracula. They both take on Dracula-like personality traits before Hector finally resists, and Isaac Is the one to lose himself.

In the games, all of this symbolism represented that he would be a mere pawn in Dracula’s scheme and become a vessel for Dracula. However, all of that symbolism is not yet present in animation Isaac, so this entire theory post is here to explain why it will become present.

The Biblical symbols of the Dragon and the Beast talk about the Dragon giving the Beast the power to return to life. The Beast that returned to life looked and spoke like a dragon. That would be neat if the writers parallel these symbols too! The Dragon being Dracula and the dragon-like Beast being Isaac.

Anguish

Dracula takes in both Isaac and Hector at a young age. Treated poorly by humanity, and taken in by Dracula, they probably saw him as their father figure. The Curse of Darkness that rips through the people during Castlevania 3, the same one that causes Isaac’s madness is probably going to be cast during season 2 of the animation. Right now we see him as a seemingly obedient, calm, collective but somewhat violent and angry individual. Someone led by his heart. When the curse is cast, bit by bit, much of that will begin to break away. When Dracula, his inspiration, his father figure, the one thing that gave him life and purpose, is defeated and taken away from him. And then, when Isaac is left for dead by Hector, the curse finally takes complete hold of him. Dracula's curse. Isaac transforms in appearance to reflect the change within. His hair has grown and become wild, his clothing has fallen apart and only ornamental pieces remain. He is only the broken pieces of what he once was. He is MAD.

So when I say he will become a vampire, I mean he will descend into madness and think that his desire for VENGEANCE AGAINST HECTOR will make it all better, but instead, he is just a vessel, a means to an end. He becomes Dracula, he becomes a vampire, a ‘Child of Judas’ in a symbolic sense. It is symbolic in that, he's not a vampire by any traditional sense, but simply because Dracula takes him over, and he becomes the vampire. The symbolism that the death and rebirth he faces before transformation is perhaps not his own death and rebirth, it is Dracula’s past death and rebirth through Isaac.

That would be super cool if he became a vampire himself, though, just a thought.

As you see, I fully expect to see our Isaac form before our eyes in ways I have only previously dreamed these past 8+ years of being a Curse of Darkness fan!

Fire Symbolism

I’ve read in other theory posts in other fandoms that fire in art and literature can symbolize many things. One of those things is death and rebirth. In Castlevania, this symbolism is definitely present, and EXTREMELY heavy-handed. Lisa dies, burned as a witch, from her dead remains ascends an explosion of flame. Who is in that flame? Dracula. So yes, they will use the plot point of Dracula dying and returning to life, and just like in the games, it will be through Isaac. I could go into more detail on fire symbolism as to why, but I think you get me by this point!

Red oni and Blue Oni

Another quote from the wiki: “Isaac and Hector together embody the "Red Oni and Blue Oni" trope. Isaac is denoted by red, and is emotional, temperamental and led by his heart. Hector, in blue, is the more logical and rational of the pair and is able to think things through, considers what he has been told, and in the end saves himself from an ill fate.” In the series, Hector is dressed in blue just as he is in the games, but Isaac has yet to show much red. To continue to fit this trope the way he’s meant to be, he HAS to go through his destined change. In the trailer, Isaac is seen in the past passionately crying with tears in his eyes as he’s about to take what I assume is revenge against someone.

(My poor boi q-q) He still very much embodies the trope with Hector, but not so much visually. He will transform most likely in the exact way I said he would. The series’ first four episodes did nothing but add to the series, not take away. Isaac is going to change, and when he does, he will finally truly mirror Hector, and he will fully become the ‘monster’ he was meant to be. By ‘monster’, what I really mean is: mistake-making, tragic sad boy who I want to cover in fifty blankies and pillows and give grilled cheese to.

TLDR: Isaac will slowly unravel to madness and become the heartbroken mess he was in the games. I’m super excited!!!

~End~ If we watch S2 and I end up wrong and got nothing right, then that’s okay cuz this whole thing was real fun to write. 10/10 recommended write up~

sometimes when you remove doubles from the entire mesh, it makes weird shadows (you can see them in solid mode) that are super dark. Edge splitting gets rid of them without causing a seam to show in the mesh

The Lynz/Steve Righ? Affair: A Masterpost

Buckle up, this is going to be a long post. I’ll add to it if more info comes to light.

So the other day there @Jessicka Addams (artist/singer/ex-friend of @LynzWay) dropped this bomb on twitter:

It was tweeted on both her personal account and @JOJ_Official’s account (Jack Off Jill- one of her bands- the other is @scarling which includes her husband @xtianaddams). It seemed to infer that Lynz and @steverigh had had an affair while he was married. It was later deleted from both accounts, but not before people grabbed it and it caused a shit storm on social media. People called Jessicka crazy and a liar but then this happened:

Who is Lucinda? Lucinda Montano is Steve Montano’s (aka Steve Righ?) wife. Here is a bit about her:

It looked like Lucinda was fighting with Jessicka (maybe it wasn’t true?) but then this happened:

So you might say this account is fake. No pic, no way of knowing this is Lucinda, right? Well luckily she set up another account with a pic to prove that it’s her and seemingly came out in support of Jessicka:

This would confirm that Lynz and Steve DID do the do.

Further evidence suggests that it is the same Lucinda who runs both twitter accounts- one private (the original @Lucinda35144711 - now protected tweets) and the one above @Montano_Lucinda, which is public. They follow the same people, in the same order which if the account is private (and it only has 7 followers) should not be able to be seen by the masses. PLUS the private account was set up first so the ‘real’ Lucinda (the confirmed Montano_Lucinda) would have to have copied that account to make them look the same. Seems unlikely. Proof:

And @MissZenyawho both accounts follow is a Justin Timberlake crew member and real-life friend of Lucinda (as can be seen on her official business Instagram accessible at Instagram.com/Lucinda_Montano) where they interact. Fun fact, Lucinda does the lashes for the backing singers/dancers on the Justin Timberlake tour. All of this can be found on public instagram/facebook/twitter business and personal accounts.

So now that we’ve established that Lucinda35144711 IS really Lucinda Montano, wife of Steve Righ? here are some more tweets of interest:

As you can see she follows Jessicka and Jessicka follows her back. This is a recent occurrence. Would you follow someone if they falsely accused your husband of having an affair? Or maybe it’s true?

So here comes the fun bit. A source of mine sent me screenshots of their conversation with Lucinda on instagram which makes for very interesting reading:

The thing about Lynz and @ChantalClaret having fake accounts to spy on and bully fans is nothing new- there has been talk of this before and it has caused many to be bullied off of sites like twitter and tumblr. It’s also confirmed heavily rumoured that Lynz and Chantal were behind the exposé of @mikeyway cheating on @aliciaway in the nowaymikeyway blog (which caused many ‘family breakfast’ posts from @bobbryar). Knowing how vindictive Lynz and Chantal are, it’s not shocking. 

Now back to the art mentioned by Lucinda on Twitter and Instagram. The piece in question is Lynz’s ‘Good Witch, RAD Witch’:

Ok, so Lucinda claims that this painting is a reference to the affair Lynz and Steve had WHILE Steve was married to Lucinda. The letter is supposedly a love letter from Steve to Lynz during the affair which Lynz has kept and used as a ‘Fuck You’ to Lucinda- this is from Lucinda’s mouth as demonstrated above in the instagram messages.

Take a look at the artwork- In front of Steve’s letter is the slogan ‘ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH OR A RAD WITCH’ accompanied by a picture of what looks like a good witch/fairy godmother type character. Lynz is a lot of things but what she isn’t is stupid. Her art often reflects and borrows popular culture (like the Adventure Time treehouse some years back) as well as incorporating her real life (eg. the painting which features a Hesitant Alien era @GerardWay). It got me thinking of the name Lucinda in popular culture which is often attributed to witches or fairies.

You might think this is reaching. But as I said, Lynz is smart. I wouldn’t put it past her to not only mock Lucinda (who admits that she called Lynz a ‘cunt’ when they fell out) by using Steve’s letter to open old wounds but to make it obvious that this is personal. This is about her. Lynz is not a shitty teen, she is a shitty 40 something year old woman.

I hope this post can be spread far and wide- I want to follow in Lynz and Chantal’s footsteps and have a exposé as popular as the NOWAYMIKEYWAY post.

• how many submissions do you normally post?

there isn’t any given number that I post. once I post a submission I won’t post another until that one gets twenty five or more comments. I do this so each submission gets a good amount of positivity. I don’t want anyone feeling left out!

for people who comment and the comments, please don’t put some unrelated comment such as emojis or something, actually take time (if you have it) to write a positive message about how a feature that caught your eye, or how strong they must be, or how wonderful their completion is or how you adore their freckles, etc. it doesn’t take much of your time and I promise you it will make someone’s day so much better. just say things that you’d want to be told about your own body but a little ps, saying “goals” or “i would die to have this body” or “I wish I looked like this” or “why can’t I have this body” or any other self degrading comment is NOT a compliment and never will be a compliment. it will be deleted. bringing yourself down isn’t what I consider a compliment, sorry!

• when can i send you my submission?

any day of the week! most send on Saturday while I’m posting submissions and that’s cool and all but you cut the likelihood of it actually getting posted that day by half because I post the ones I didn’t get to post last week, and then the ones sent throughout the week, first(: (I recommend sending them Thursday because I save them on Friday)

• is there an age limit to submit?

sort of, I’d ask that you’d be at least thirteen+ because although this is only for body positivity I am not dumb and I know some people may see it in other forms. so since instagrams age limit is thirteen I guess so is mine. although, if you’re underaged please do not send me full nudes (keep your genitals covered please. tummy pics, thigh pics, etc are fine, but I would be careful not to have full nudity so undies/bathing suits are a must) this puts me in a very awkward position. remember that your nudes are often considered child pornography depending on your state/region. be careful kiddos.

• if I send you a caption to post with my pic, will you post that too?

yes yes! all you have to do is specify that you want your caption posted and bam! posted along with your photo !

• do I have to be naked to submit?

not persay, no. not everyone is comfortable being completely naked, and I understand that 100%. but since this is body positivity, you can’t exactly receive compliments about your body with full clothing so I would ask that you have minimal clothing. if you aren’t comfortable with showing your stomach, show off your thighs or collar bones!

• can I send you a selfie to post?

no. sorry but this isn’t a selfie positivity account, it’s a body positive account so no picture with your face in it please. covering it with your phone is okay though and having your lips in it if yore doing a collar bone photo but otherwise no, please crop your face out. it isn’t really anonymous if your face is in it.
