a post a couple of times on my dash about getting trigger tagged because you have sh scars and how dehumanizing it is which i get! and i agree that you shouldnt get a warning plasytered on you for existing. and i don't think people should have to cover up or hide healed self harm scars (or any scars for that matter). at the same time there are people in the notes saying that if you get triggered by scars you are an asshole and bigoted and uh... maybe theres a little more nuance to that....... seeing other peoples sh scars can trigger me. because i self harm. i dont think there is any solution to this and some triggers will just be impossible to accommodate for, and i don't think people should cover up or anything in fear of triggering anyone. just wish there was a magic solution where everything was good and cool. and that there wasnt shit thrown in the direction of people who do get triggered by it. come on.

Upon request I went out to see if I could correspond every major (meaning 3 or more weeks) hiatus in Hunter X Hunter with the release of a Spider-Man video game. Togashi’s hiatus’s are almost certainly from back pain, but because Kento Miura took a multi-year hiatus over playing an idol video game, it would be funny to see if it’s actually possible that Togashi has actually just been playing a new Spider-Man video game every major hiatus.
Hunter X Hunter Hiatus Spider-Man Game Correlation List:
-Mid-1999 Hiatus: Venom/Spider-Man: Seperation Anxiety for Sega Genesis (Released November 1995)
-Mid-2000 Hiatus: Spider-Man: The Animated Series for Sega Genesis (Released 1995)
-Late 2001 Hiatus: Spider-Man for Playstation (Released September 2000)
-Early 2002 Hiatus: Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro for Playstation (Released October 2001)
-Mid 2002 Hiatus: Spider-Man for Playstation 2 (Released April 2002)
-Mid 2004 Hiatus: Spider-Man 2 for Playstation 2 (Released June 2004)
-Early 2006-Late 2007 Hiatus: Ultimate Spider-Man for Playstation 2 (Released September 2005)
-Early 2008 Hiatus: Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance for Playstation 3 (Released October 2006)
-Mid-2008 Hiatus: Spider-Man 3 for Playstation 3 (Released May 2007)
-2009-Early 2010 Hiatus: Spider-Man: Friend or Foe for PSP (Released October 2007)
-Mid-2010-Mid-2011 Hiatus: Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for Plasytation 3 (Released October 2008)
-Early 2012 Hiatus: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions for Playstation 3 (Released September 2010)
-Early 2013-Mid-2014 Hiatus: Spider-Man: Edge of Time for Playstation 3 (Released October 2011)
-Late 2014-Mid 2016 Hiatus: The Amazing Spider-Man for Playstation 3 (Released June 2012)
-Mid-2016-Mid-2017 Hiatus: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for Playstation 4 (Released September 2014)
-Late 2017-Early 2018 Hiatus: Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite for Playstation 4 (Released September 2017)
-Mid-2018 Hiatus: Lego’s Marvel Super-Heroes 2 for Playstation 4 (Released November 2017)
-2019-Present Day Hiatus: Spider-Man for Playstation 4 (Released September 2018), Ultimate Alliance 3 for Nintendo Switch (Released July 2019), and Spider-Man: Miles Morales for Playstation 5 (Released November 2020)
While you can see many games are closely correlated, with some games even correlating with the length of hiatus, some are very loosely correlated, and many are not correlated at all. In particular, the gap between 2014 and 2018 where there were practically no Spider-Man games. The nice thing about the current, longest hiatus is that by the time he would realistically finish one game, another came out.
