the whole disability thing is so much worse too lmao when you realize, nevermind those of us who are born disabled, but the current system Creates disability. the way this capitalist system is set up, the work system, it drives people mentally or physically or both into disability. the way the cities are structured, the way our diets are (and the endless chemicals in them), so much shit, it drives people into disability. and then, once youve spend ur life working urself to being disabled to get by, the system treats you even fuckin worse. and thats not even getting into how generational trauma of many sorts leads to generations having more a protensity to disability later on, thus creating a cycle in which poverty, racism, sexism, abelism and other shit rolls over and over

Porcelain fingers find themselves tremoring, dipping into the fold of her lap at the utterance of the offer. "A-- a million dollars?" A shaky, startled voice parrots. Skepticism steals into the shadows on her over-exhausted countenance, giving her the appearance of a sage. Truth be told, she didn't entirely feel like scholastic material.
A stint in the rebel's camp had opened her eyes to rampant disparities and devastation. In every direction, she discovered soldiers lacking the basic necessities of life- food, clothing, cots to lay their worn bodies. What heavenly remedies could be afforded if she accepted such a deal? She could do a world of good. She could change so many lives.
Yet, betrayal sits about as pleasant as a bushel of thistles with her. Especially, of a kindred spirit like Theodore.
Warring deliberation turns her guilt-ladened gaze downwards. Is there more wisdom in saving the one while condemning many more to needless death? Or to engage in an act of selfish desire? To spare herself the grief of another loss? Her teeth press sharp crescent-shaped indents into her lower-lip.
Wetted eyes flicker upwards, doleful and repentant. "I can't..." Anna just about cries in a tense whisper. "The money is contingent on my being able to ---- to take the life. A life of a man I-- I don't agree with, but respect." All Anna can think of is the haunted, cold expression as Tanner (the Queen's Ranger) lay dying, gurgling his last breath courtesy of her hand. With another glimpse downwards, she studies not-so clean hands. Imagining Theo stone-cold, glassy-eyed, and motionless is too much for even a protensively calloused soul to bear. "I-- I won't even for my Cause."

Push the screw into the candle,
Twilight needs attention,
To be idle when the world is prone?
Nay, be awake to cause protension.
At midday luncheon,
Workers take rest from weary work,
The labour when leisure plays?
To let mankind's purpose shirk.
And the mind reads popular,
To the population; shrewd,
But layered under quirky labels,
Genius thoughts they preclude.
If stars gain conciousness,
Let them take note that I,
The only living relative true,
Not of ashes, in soil dry.
For I notice, when the world does not,
Their presence above all souls,
And if I, the last follower of their church,
Then let heaven save my mortal parole.

Overall: 4/10
Year Released: 2018
My audience recommendation: 13+
Platform: Hulu
Type: Documemtary
Pros: the background music has a good beat
Cons: it’s rough, really jumpy, and everyone in it just swims in an air of protension. I spent more time checking how much time was left than actually enjoying it.
I’m not beating around a bush here, I didn’t like it. It’s a documentary about aliens with skinwalker references shoehorned in like a last minute thought. It jumped all over the place and spent more time listening to guys defending evidence they never present to you.
Every person on there just spends their entire interview time basically dragging everyone who doesn’t believe but also never gives you any actual proof just “I have invested money and time in this and if you don’t believe it than you’re an idiot”
Warning: there are graphic photos and videos of mutilated cow corpses.

metARTpolitan conception
Interview with Anastasia Chekryzhova by Elena Troshkova
Nastya Chekryzhova created an amazing virtual biennale project MetARTpolitan. She compares subway stations and art objects such as paintings, sculptures and design boxes. It is absolutely new and fresh view on the subway architecture. Nastya and I talked about her inspiration, subway around the world and future of her project.
– How did you get the idea of this project?
– Being an urbanite, I search interesting facts, exciting correlations and parallels in the City. Subway is one of the main part of big city existence. It has not only an utilitarian function (underground fast transportation of passengers from one place to another) but also provides historical and social meaning. I should notice that all of the metro stations acquire cultural importance of architecture, design and place-name along with the nowadays perceptions of metro as a linguistic, urbanistic or art concept (especially in the internet environment and internet memes). If you do not mind I will give you really funny example of linguistic interpretation.
Recently on the popular public VK page I have noticed a neologism новочеркасcить which is mean to search an exit from metro via GPS navigator. It is common knowledge for Petersburgers that Novocherkasskaya metro station has more than 10 exits so it is a great challenge to choose the right one. Below the topic I found out a quip comment devoted to the same phenomenon of Moscow Metro: китайгородить. Thus, I think, these examples reveal the concept of the metro as an actual cultural meaning for the city people. In my project I attempt to show metro as an aesthetic object with various ways of interpretations and correlations.
– You compare subway stations with different things. It can be art objects, paintings or even a box of chocolates. How does it work? Do you usually look at the station and catch any associations or the other way around?
– I think the first assumption is more closer. I do not try to see some correlation with the station on the art piece because it is illogical according to my conception. The major role is lead to the metro stations and I offer various art interpretations of them. I prefer to look at the design of the station and then conclude something.
– There are only subway stations of yours native county in the blog. Do you want to add information about stations which located in other countries?
– Good question! As I know the foreign subway stations are not so picturesque as our metro. But I’ll try to google some interesting examples which I could add to my blog. I remembered I see some notable illustrations of Scandinavian metro stations so I would like to include them for example.
–You are from Moscow. What is your favourite subway station there? Do you associate it with anything?
– I like Dostoevskaya. It is a gloomy station with prevailing grey and black colours and some illustration from Crime and Punishment, The Idiot, Demons and The Brothers Karamazov on the walls. In my opinion the design of the station is according to the tragic nature of the Dostoevsky’s novelism and provide the atmosphere of his oeuvre perfectly. I guess that I could compare it with the conception of Dostoevskaya metro station in St. Petersburg.
– You wrote that the design of Rumyantsevo station was inspired by Mondrian’s style. Do you have any examples of subway architects who were inspired by famous artists?
– Unfortunately Rumyantsevo is the only one example which I have had a luck to reveal. Nevertheless I need to keep searching and discovering more obvious allusions inspired by the concrete art pieces.
– Both old and new Russian subway stations often are self-sufficient art objects with sculptures, paintings on walls, mosaics. What do you think is it a good trend or is it too much for subway as a kind of the transport? Can people appreciate creative design of it?
– Thank you for this question! It is really interesting point which can be characterised in the various ways. As we know Stalin’s Empire style spread over a wide area so now we have not only Stalinist architecture in the cities but also under them. It was kind of glorifying and taffeta architecture style which provided the idea of greatness and majesty of the Soviet Union. When you had arrived at Moscow by the train the first you saw was Komsomolskaya metro station – the apotheosis of Stalin’s Empire style. Also I should pay attention on the underground excursion tours which are so popular with tourists. On the other hand we have a lot of stations without any elegant design (which were projected in the late 80s or 90s for instance). In this time most of the stations projected as architecture aesthetic pieces. And I like this tendency because passengers appreciate creative design of the new stations.
– Let’s talk about subway as an exhibition place like it is in Stockholm. What do you think about such possibility in Russia?
– I consider that it would be interesting experience. Metro has a huge expositional and representational potential for art exhibiting. Kropotkinskaya has a great acoustic so it becomes a ground for the classical music night concert once a year. With their upper galleries radiate Komsomolskaya and Vystavochnaya could be  places for exhibitions. However, in contrast to the concert, exhibition connects with time aspect, it is more protensive event. Daytime exhibition is not a good idea because of the high passenger throughput. On the other hand the exposition for only one night is senseless. There is a lot to be thought over…
– Do you know some other projects about art in the subway? Can you call any of them which related to you? – I did not feel inspired by the other project so I really do not know about other projects unfortunately. Even so I will find something interesting and download to my blog.
– Open a secret, which pair would be next in your blog?
– In my opinion it should be connected with St. Petersburg subway… I’m seeking an inspiration!
– Do you want to organize your virtual project in real life? How do you see it? What can you say about the place, the concept of the exposition et cetera?
– As far as I am concerned, this virtual biennale project should remain a virtual exhibition and has not any possibilities to be realised in the physical space. I tried to choose pieces which could not be exposed in the galleries or in the museums. Thus I emphasise the distinction of virtual biennale as a specific concept, a specific way of curatorial practice.
– Which place could your project take in the context of contemporary art? Why is it actual?
– As I said the idea of metro acquires the high cultural meaning and value nowadays. Most of the public pages and profiles in the Internet are devoted to  metro fashion or to metro aesthetic (for example in aesthetic photos). Thus, I tried to comprehend this conception and create my own vision of this.
