Chapter Seven: Unrest (part 2)

Later that day:

When we eventually got up again it was just before midday. We had gotten all ready to head out when Ivor stopped us and mentioned that we should probably not cause too big of a scene, or any more trouble for her. We smiled as we walked out of the door waving back at her.

“Wish us a safe return” Nightshade said closing the door

“You don’t need our wishes” she said looking at the door worried

As we made our way to the square it became pretty clear that the surroundings and the square itself were packed with people. As we pushed our way through the crowd it became known that the old guy had advertised the fight, most likely to show that they were still very much in control.

“Oh so you did show up” the old guy yelled pointing at me from a raised platform in the middle of the square

“And miss a chance to put an arrogant old fool in his place, never” i said pointing at him smirking

Nightmare and Cyrice walked to either side of the platform, while Eclipse and Nightshade put their hoods up and blended into the crowd.

As we sat down staring at each other we realised that this was the first time in a while that we had had so much free time, and we all started to do random things. Eclipse was sitting with Nightshade and Cyrice on the coach, while I'm pretty sure Nightmare was trying to convince Cyrice to go drinking with him. Some time had passed though no one seemed to notice through all the talking and joking around.

“Hey we should head out” Ivor said getting up after looking at the clock

“I guess we should, Nightshade you don't have to come tonight,” I said getting up and putting my hand on her shoulder

“You two should try to stay out of trouble,” Windstorm said looking at Cyrice and Nightmare

Nightshade started laughing heavily, while Cyrice chuckled and Eclipse let a smirk creep onto his face. As we left I was a little more relaxed about where we were at the moment. That was a mistake.

The training went by pretty smoothly, there were more people and onlookers since we were training till mid day now. On our way home we talked about where to take everyone's training, and also when we could start mine.

When we approached the house we saw Cyrice and Nightmare getting back, though no one's attention was on them. Everyone's attention was focused on the fact that the front door was wide open, on closer inspection it became very clear that the door had been kicked in.

“Nightshade, Cyrice” I yelled running up the stairs and through the front door

Everyone was closely following behind only to see a torn apart entry way and no response. There was no heavy scent of blood but that didn't make anyone feel at ease.

As we made our way farther inside and looked around for anything, it became very clear that this place wasnt trashed in the search for something but was trashed just to be trashed. As I rounded the corner to the living room it appeared like the rest of the house, broken furniture paintings and pictures all over the place. However none of that mattered to me the only thing that caught my attention was the pile of black and blue hair on the floor.

I dragged him back down the hall and threw him down the stairs. He tried to run but Cyrice was still standing at the door so that was out of the question. “You better tell me exactly what happened and who did this, without any trouble, or your employer is going to be the least of your concerns,” I said holding my sword toward his throat while both of the boys were standing behind me

“I cant” he trailed off with a cold sweat running down his face as he started to really think about the situation he has ended up in

“Well” i said inching closer making it very clear that i was not kidding around

As he explained what had happened that night in a very detailed non detailed way possible. He had made sure that we were aware that he and his people were not the ones behind this and that even if he wanted to he couldn't have done anything.

“You are lucky I respect Ivor enough not to add cleaning up blood to her list of things to do,” I said lowering my sword

“I hope you can fly,” Cyrice said grabbing the guy and leaving

“Silver we should get our stuff, gather what we need, and find somewhere else to stay till we can come up with a better plan, it's clearly not safe here,” Nightmare said looking at Ivor and Windstorm who were standing in silence guilt

“Let's go down there,” I said pointing to a ledge in one of the mountains

“But we just got up here” Windstorm whined while still complying

As we slowly descended to the ledge, we noticed that you couldn't see this place from the platform and that it was very spacious.

“What are we going to do now?” Ivor asked putting her bag down

“First I and you are going to go and warn everyone that has been training under you, then we are going to move everyone that doesn't feel safe here,” I said grabbing my cloak and dagger out of my bag “The boys are going to go and look for where they took Nightshade and Eclipse, but only once they are sober”

I threw some water bottles at them and told them to go lay down in the corner and sleep it the fuck off.

“Wait, what about me?” Windstorm is sitting on the ground clearly feeling left out

“I don't think..” Ivor started to say something when i cut her off

“Windstorm discrete isn't your strong suit, however how about you try and get food, clothes, stuff for a fire, blankets, and other necessities since we will most likely be here awhile”
