Personal opinion: It's really really worth to read! The overall story is great 💖 The plot is not too fast or too slow, and the whole thing makes sense. I think PingXie is a type of ship where everything needs to be taken slowly, it's easy to become greasy if you don't write it carefully... and the writer really did a good job, even Xiaoge's smut part doesn't feel out of place. The double perspective is also impressive, I can feel Xiaoge's strong and independent personality here. I mean that he always has his own thought, even in canon, he isn't the type of character who likes to follow along blindly without thinking. He comes to this point because he wants to do so, he always has his own reason to do something. It's just that Wu Xie's perspective make it difficult to know what Xiaoge is thinking. This is one of the best window paper fics I've ever read! (⁠*⁠˘⁠︶⁠˘⁠*⁠)⁠.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡

Zhang Qiling was finally out of the Bronze Door, but it wasn't Wu Xie and Pangzi who picked him up. What happened to Wu Xie and why did he get out of the Bronze Door a few months earlier than their agreement?

Personal opinion:

This is one of popular PingXie classic fanfictions recommended by many people, and I also recommend it (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧

Unlike other PingXie fics which usually only focus on their relationship, this fic gives us another different insight of the "ultimate" and "bronze door" from the canon version. This is the reason why I put this fic under the "canon divergence" tag. The writer did a good jod to build the bridge between "Sand Sea" and "Ten Years". Even in "Tibetan Sea Flower", they filled the gap about what happened to Zhang Haixing... I like this one (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠)

The interesting point about this fic is although there is a seemingly heavy plot, the relationship between the characters are also written carefully. We could see PingXie from different perspectives, such as Li Cu and Zhang Haike. There are hidden jokes too to help ease the tension.

And then about PingXie, Wu Xie's personality is unique, it's different in each stage, but actually his true nature will never change. In this fic, he was supposed to be in Sha Hai state or "邪帝", but when he faced against Xiaoge he could change back to his innocent self (NPSS also implied it in an interview here). It's not unreasonable, I'm glad that the writer considered this matter. I think Sha Hai Xie is like a self-preservation, he changes to this personality when he is in danger or getting bullied. When he is in relaxed state, he won't show his fangs, it's no secret that Xiaoge is his sense of security. The "邪帝" in Sha Hai was filled with resentment in his heart that he couldn't let go, he felt uneasy and unsafe, he became the person he hated the most, isn't it sad to see Wu Xie like this? (⁠｡⁠•́⁠︿⁠•̀⁠｡⁠)

The change of attitude isn't merely for the sake of shipping them, but it's also a part of his character. The writer didn't overstate this fact nor did they neglect it, I think it's adequate. It's really a good fic! ✨✨

Personal opinion:

If you like abusive type of fics, then I recommend this one. Actually, it's kinda unbearable to me who like to read sweet fics T^T The first half of this fic is very good, I really like how the author wrote it, I wasn't lying when I said that I did cry because of some emotional scenes. It's just that it got more and more abusive in the later chapters. I feel like some PingXie old fics tends to be more sadistic and abusive, this one is not an exception, maybe because at that time the concept of "Yucun Biji" is like unexpected future >.<

A little note:

I don't know what "Juncheng" means T_T Maybe it refers to the supernatural force of the Bronze Door? Tianshou?

I was just curious... In my opinion, PingXie is pure love type, something like B*SM feels out of place but somehow I can see the connection. I feel like Wu Xie is too obedient and trust Xiaoge so much to the point of doubting himself. Here and there he likes to praise Xiaoge to be so strong, even in canon. No wonder some people like to call it "dom笔记" (dom Notes) and that's understandable XD Anyway, this fic is interesting, the logic is also good so far. Xiaoge is a gentle S (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠)
