hello oc community! my server (the queer oc creator club) and i have noticed that as of late the oc community has been barren :( so to remedy that i have a challenge for anyone who would like to participate!

this challenge is for everyone, meaning you can make edits or write blurbs or whatever you chose! also feel free to tag me (nolanhollogay) or use the tag "qocc oc challenge" so i can see & share your posts!

day one (aug 20): a brand new plot bunny

create an oc for a fandom you've never made an oc for!

make something for an oc you've neglected lately

put a spin on a common alternate universe trope

qocc oc challenge - August 20th | New plot bunny → Damien Lawson in What We Do in the Shadows

Damien grew up with two emotionally absent parents which caused him to feel a lot of loneliness and feeling unloved. The only comfort Damien ever had was with his best friend Guillermo de la Cruz. The two became best friends in Elementary school after a school Bully shoved them in a janitor's closet together, locking them both inside until someone eventually let them out hours after school ended.

Guillermo's mother basically welcomed him with open arms and he was free to spend his time whenever he wanted with Guillermo. One day the two decided to go to the movies together and saw Interview with the Vampire. Which inspired Guillermo's lifelong obsession with vampires and Damien's obsession with the Occult.

As Damien got older he realized the feelings he had for Guillermo were more than a friend and even when Guillermo came out and confessed to him he was gay. Damien of course accepted him and kept his secret but he didn't confess his feelings towards him out of fear of being left behind and all alone.

One day after his shift at Panera Bread Guillermo came home excitedly and told Damien he had met real-life vampires and he was going to be a familiar to one of them.

He knew how much his friend wants to become a vampire so after being told this, Damien decided to join him and became a familiar himself.

Bonus Info: Damien is going to be paired with Guillermo and Nandor.

collette has a pretty normal life in lakewood, as far as lives in lakewood go. between hooking up with her childhood best friend, skipping all of her classes, and crushing on george washington high school's biggest loser, she's pretty much like any other teenager. well - until a masked slasher shows up and starts taking out her friends one by one.

INTRODUCING ⁂ christine 'CRICKET' malhotra

Cricket, Ant, and Spider have been best friends since they were in primary school. Always together, universe in balance, all of those things. Until the start of year eleven when the incest map reveals that Ant and Cricket kissed, and their entire friendship threatens to fall apart. Now both Cricket and Ant are torn between caring about their third best friend — a best friend they've felt increasingly estranged from for years now — dating each other — something neither of them seem completely comfortable with for some inexplicable reason — or simply ignoring the problem until it hopefully goes away all together. And... yeah. That's the preferred option, except they're all forced into a sex-ed class together so the option becomes null and void in an instant. It takes an explosive fight, a sex-protest, several make-out sessions, and a terribly uncomfortable conversation with a teacher for the three of them to confront the idea that there might be another solution to their troubles.
