Lance’s Charizard is what did it, which I knew would happen. Osmium took that first Flamethrower like a champ and even got a damn solid hit in with Blizzard before going down. Badass to the end. 

Well, that’s it! The challenge is over. I honestly wasn’t sure I’d even get this far, and I got FAR. I’m relatively confident we could have taken out most of Lance’s team if not for that Charizard, or if we had even one more team member still alive. Oh well. So, pretty damn good if I do say so myself. This was as fun and stressful and heart-wrenching as I hoped it would be, and I’m glad I gave it a shot. The fallen will not be forgotten! And not only them, but the other friends in the PC. Chert, my shiny Pichu, is still near and dear to my heart, as is Zircon, my Haunter who helped me out a lot. Much love to all of them. Man, Pokemon is a good game, isn’t it.

I’m glad some people have enjoyed keeping up with this! I appreciate it!!

My homage to my team of good and treasured friends, likely the last time we’ll all be together. These guys have fought so hard no matter the odds, and our efforts have paid off now that we’re here at the Indigo Plateau. From our newest member Osmium to one of my very earliest Pokemon, the valiant Sulfur, and everyone in between, I love you all and I have faith in us.

The team’s trained up, I’ve stocked up on items, and we’ve added some cool new moves to our arsenal (yes, I went back and played at the Game Corner until my brain hurt to get Blizzard. Thunder would be great too but I don’t have enough money to just pay outright and playing the slots would take eons). I also have some extra TMs to mix and match depending on the opponent. I might go for it tonight or I might not, depending on how much time I have. But whatever, no more stalling. It’s the REAL endgame now.

The last two deceased. One a stalwart friend, one a former enemy. In the end, though, they both gave their lives so that we may continue. We shall fight on for you and all those we’ve lost over this journey.

The final team’s all trained up and ready, but there’s one last drawing I need to do before we officially begin fighting the Elite Four. Stay tuned.

Here we go, I’m coming for ya Pryce! He doesn’t have a cool coat and scarf in this game but he’s still pretty chill. ...Well I dunno about chill, but there’s a pun there so,,

I’ve leveled up my doods and evolved Feldspar! Sulfur is in the PC right now because I don’t wanna lose her in this gym ...but she is crazy fast, which might be useful, so I might put her in instead of Mercury later, not sure. So Arsenic is here now too. Silicon’s a couple levels from evolving, hopefully I can get them to level 30 in the next few fights, but they won’t exactly be that helpful against Piloswine soooo it’s not exactly a priority. There are no special Steel-type moves in this game. And of the three physical ones that do exist, Magnemite can’t learn any of them. This generation doesn’t make any sense

So here I was, like, “hm I wonder if that Suicune plot actually wrapped up or if it’s in the post-game or what? I mean I got the Clear Bell a bit ago but I never went to...I...I never went to the Tin Tower.” I guess I thought the game would stop me from going to the Pokemon League if I had more to do, but it was just a free-for-all back in the olden days. So here I fuckin’ am, and we’re gonna put the Pokemon League on hold to hang out with Suicune. Also, I should say that I reset the game to catch the above dialogue again to chronicle, and, long story short, in the process lost a good few hours of training. I’m absolutely thrilled.

WE DID IT!!!!! Silicon was fucking CLUTCH, they were faster than the Dragonair for some reason, we used Thunderwave on each other, the Dragonair’s attacks did fuck-all and we just whittled it down with Tri-Attack. Nobody died!!! That’s such a relief.

I’ve beaten ALL the gym leaders now, but of course Clair throws a fit and won’t give me the badge until I do the Dragon’s Den challenge. But that’s okay because we’re gonna get a new friend out of it!

I’ve been through Route 27 and 26, and now here I am in Victory Road (I caught three new Pokemon that I’ll show off when I get to a goddamn Pokemon Center), and I knew there was a Silver fight coming. Unfortunately, I needed a Waterfall user to get through Tohjo Falls and none of my main turn can learn it, so I had to bring Selenium with me. There appears to be no opportunity to change around your team from there to the Pokemon League, which means I am forced to fight silver with five of my team members plus an underleveled Goldeen. I’m gonna be at a disadvantage right off the bat, and I wanted to make sure I was prepared and was like “I’m for sure not gonna let Silver jump me”. And then Silver jumped me. So I’ll be transparent here, I soft reset out of frustration before the fight even started. I had to re-explore a good portion of Victory Road, so that was my price. 

So NOW I’m as ready as I’ll ever be, all my dudes (except friggin’ Selenium) are at level 40, and it’s time for Silver to stomp all over me. Silver is like Franziska von Karma in that he has aggressively short-term memory when it comes to losing to you multiple times. And he’s pretty.

Hello, it’s been eons. I spent like an entire day training because of Clair’s crazy level jump, and now everyone’s evolved and leveled up! I’m pretty nervous about this fight, since I know all her Dragonair are gonna be spamming Dragon Rage and all that. So my strategy is to have Osmium take on the Dragonair and then switch to Moolooite for the Kingdra and hope for the best. Osmium has Powder Snow, which sucks, but I’m just not gonna go play at the Game Corner forever to get Blizzard, at least right now. And I’m scared to waste Icy Wind right now in case...something terrible happens. I put Ice Punch on Moolooite and Marble too, just in case.

Ohhhhhhhhkay then, Clair. Let’s do this.
