man, did this tourney get crossposted to r/grandorder or something? Because that’s an incredibly reddit selection for the final four ngl

No silly word bubble for this one. I did have to balance this tourney around those expected popular characters when it came to this tourney theme. It would be disingenuous of me if I didn't consider Astolfo, Kiara, Medb, and Kama 1st seed contenders from the start so they wouldn't go against each other so early making semi and grand finals landslide sweeps against a character that maybe didn't have the biggest fanbase supporting them in this tourney theme. Sorry if many aren't happy with the results but that is kinda how it is.

I feel like there were a lot of opportunities for upsets still. Ishtar ran 3 hellish miracle comebacks against Bedivere, Sheba, and Enkidu. Fergus believers came in super strong against Mash (but mysteriously disappeared when it was time to go against Kama). Musashi was 2-3 votes away from beating Kama one round. Kiara made so many irl enemies that I think hurt her chances lmao. Ritsuka was an actual wildcard depending on the players own perception of their own chaldea. Yu had a silent but strong passionate support group that almost made her get to quarterfinals whereas Cu beat her but got swept incredibly hard against Medb where I actually think Yu probably would have had better chances against Medb in that matchup ironically.

Again, maybe loser's bracket will result in some contenders gaining enough momentum to match and beat the elite four. What's most important is that you guys keep rallying for your fav's in the poll posts themselves. I don't answer every ask and not everybody checks out the propaganda asks I do respond to on this blog.

That's what I'm thinking, also referring to my other post about the perspective of TWST and how Yuu's memories are seemingly overwritten to the point that Yuu doesn't even recognize MICHEAL THEODORE MOUSE.

[Though someone had a theory it could be alluding to the fact that Mickey, in one movie, was cursed to never be recognized unless he found his true magic...]

I'd say that when Yuu was transported to the land of TWST, their place in reality and their place in TWST's reality kinda separatd [?]... I had a theory that Yuu had two bodies, one of which was in the real world and the otherof which was in TWST making it more like Rayshifting [the novel debunks that lil theory/hc].

To explain rayshifting, in essence it's like:

"Essentially, Guda and Mash enter Coffins which do some stuff to make their existences "unknown" and thus able to make projections of themselves into any era they need to Rayshift into. So it's not exactly their soul being rayshifted, but their very existence using Spiritron Particles (stuff that's mentioned in many places in the Nasuverse). But that's dependent on the Coffins working properly to "hide" the person inside's existence from the World and observing their body's' existence, which allows them to basically defy physics and time.

That's why we need to eat and can be killed in Singularities, because our bodies in the Singularities are just as real as the ones we leave behind in the Coffins."

Basically a Shrödinger's cat sort of situation.

In essence: when Silver meets Yuu that's when Yuu's place in reality kinda splits—because dreams have become a reality and solidifies their place in TWST's reality exclusively—you can't dream of someone who was never in your life especially if your Unique Magic hinges on someone recognizing your existence in their reality.

Which is why I kinda liken it to Malleus' time-space magic. I wouldn't say it's completely like his Domain Domination but rather akin to converting someone's existence in order to bring someone there because there was a need for them [kinda like how Guda can rayshift without a coffin].

The question is why? Why would someone need Yuu that bad that they are willing to throw Yuu into a Shrödinger's cat situation?

r/grandorder was banned for a bit today. Any idea what that was about?

the initial thought was that it had to do with summer Chloe but it actually looks like it might’ve been a site glitch bc a bunch of other subs that don’t have stupid stuff also were banned at the same time

They seem to be veering on the safe side and have just decided her ascensions are a no overall though, you can post links to the atlas academy site but that’s it

to put it in semi-precise terms, my Ritsuka operates under the quad feelings of: "How many Gerdas looked up at the sky and were impaled by trees?" + "This is the world Romani Ars Nova'd for, there is no way in any of the afterlives that I will let this world die so easily." +

"I have spent an unknown amount of time protecting this world from Ars Goetia, the Ritual of Humanity's Incineration/the Remnants of the fractured Ritual/whatever was in the events. There is no reason to stop protecting the world now." +

"Just because I have to kill your world to save my own, doesn't mean i can't chronologize your world so that you may be remembered."

I'm actually really tempted to write a fanfic that actually allows Ritsuka to use the whole "I'm saving my world." response to Qin from part 3. Ritsuka, as one of the people who faced most/all of humanity/the world's cruelty, acknowledges how diastourous the world may be. ...if Chaldea, and others like them, did not exist.
