Amla has been regarded as the sacred tree in India. It sin worshiped as the Mother Earth and is believed to nurture humankind because the fruits are very nourishing. According to Ayurveda, Amla balances all three doshas. While Amla is unusual in that it contains five out of the six tastes recognized by Ayurveda, it is most important to recognize the effects of the “virya”, or potency, and “vipaka”, or post-digestive effect.

Amla as Ayurved medicine ( Gharelu upchaar):-

Nater rog (Eye sight problems):- Grind Amla 50 grams in mixi and after grinding boil in water for one hour on low heat. Take out water from tea strainer. Use in eyes three times a day.

Natershodh (eye sight):-Make hole in the Amla fruit sticked on tree. Extract liquid from the Amla and paste on all corners of eyes for better eye sight.

Vriksh par lage huye Amla me ched karne se jo drav padarath niklata hai, uska ankh ke bahar charo or lap karne se ankho ke shukal bhag ke shod mitte hai.

Naterphoole (Swelling on eyes):- Grind 7 grams Amla in mixi and keep in water. After keeping the Amla in water for two to three hours take the Amla from water. Again take another Amla and repeat the process three to four times with another set of Amla. Use the water in eyes for cure of eyes related diseases and for better eye sight.

Kesho ke liye:- Amla, rintha, sikakai tino ke kawath banakar sir donne se bal muliam , ghane or lambe hote hai.Keshkanti tal bhi balo ke liye acha hota hai

Amla Powder mix with goat milk. Apply this paste on your head for stop the bleeding from the Nose.

 Constipation and pilles:- Take 3-6 grams Amla Trifla for constipation with water in night.

(b) Grind Amla in mixi grinder.Paste the Amla powder in earthen utensils. Fill the pot with Chati lassi-chachh- after some time give to the patient of piles.

 Swar bhaid:- Ajmoda ,haldi,Amla, yavkshar,chatrak inko saman matra me mila le, 1 se 2 gram churan ko 2 chamch madhu thatha 1 chamch grat ke sath chatne se swar bhed dur hota hai.

 Hika:- Amla ras 10 – 20 gram or 2 -3 gram peppar ka churan 2 chamch honey ke sath din me do bar sewan karne se hichkei me labh hota hai.

Amalpit:-

1.   1 – 2 nag thaja Amla misri ke sath ya Amla swaras 25 gram sambagh honey ke sath prant: saye dene par khate Dakar, amalpit ke shikayeta dur ho jate hai.

2.   Amla ke 10 gram bij raat bar jal me bhigokar rakhe ye ugle din goo dudh me ise piskar 250 gram goo dudh (cow milk) ke sath dene par pitadhikaye me pabh hota hai.

Sardi:

Trikon janit sardi me Amla thatha dakh ko piskar 40 gram khand, 40 gram madhu or 160 gram jal milakar kapde se chankar peena chayea.

Kamla:-

Yekrit ke durlabhta weh piliya niwaran ke liye Amla ko honey ke sath chatni banakar Subhe – sham liya jana chaiye.

Mutarkrachar:-

Iske taji chal ke 10 – 20 gram ras me 2 gram haldi or 10 gram madhu milakar subhe sham pilane se mutarkrachar mitte hai.

Kabaj:- Yekrit badne ,sirdard,kabj, bawaser or badhajmi rog me Amla se bane trifla churan ko prayog kiya jata hai.3 – 6 gram trifla churan ki faki ushan jal ke sath raat me sote samye lene se kabj mitta hai.

Arash:-

1.   Amla ko bali – bhati piskar us piti ko ek mitt eke bartan me lape kar dena chayeiye.Phir us bartan me chach barker us chach ko rogi  ko pilane se bawaser me labh hota hai.

2.   Bawaser ke masse se adik rakat satrav hota ho, to 3 se 8 gram Amla churan ka sewan dahi ke malai ke sath din me do – tin bar karna chaiye.

Sukarmeh:Dhup me sukhaye huye Amlo ke guthle rehat 10 gram churan me dugne misri milakar 250 gram tak taja jal ke sath 15 din tak lagatar sewan karne se swapandosh, sukarparmeh adhi rogo me nishchit roop se labh hota hai.

Shwate pardar:- Amla ke 20 – 30 gram bijo ko pani ke saath piskar us pani ko chan le, usme 2 chamch honey or pisi huye misri milakar pilane se swat pardar me labh hota hai.

Rakat Gulam:-  Amla ke ras me kali mirch dalkar pene se rakat gulam nasht hota hai.

Parmeh:-

1.   Amla, hard, bahada, nagar motha, daruhaldi, devdaru en sabko saman matra me lekar yethavidhi unka kawath karke 10 se 20 gram ke matra me subhe – sham parmeh ke rogi ko pilaye.

2.   Amla,gilow , neem ke chal. Parwal ki patti ko 50 gram kki matra me sambag lekar adha litre pani me 12 ghante bhigokar phir pakaye, jab chaturash shesh rahe,kshye me 2 chamch madhu ke sath milakar din me tin bar sewan karne se pitze parmeh nasht hote hai.
