A what-if AU I've been thinking about! Basically when Leo's in the prison dimension rather then accepting his fate, he starts learning how to use his own mystic abilities without his swords. Mikey is unable to save him right away so he spends a year practicing his mystic abilities against the Kraang; he gets incredibly good, near future Mikey's level, however- according to Casey, he wasn't ever supposed to have this power. What kind of affect does it have on him once he gets back? The family? This is a continued from a previous picture I've posted. Feel free to ask questions! I may make a comic on this.

DTIYS for Sheltered.uno

I couldn't miss taking part in the DTIYS from @sheltered-uno

He did a really brilliant drawing featuring Mikey and Donnie from his and Breadle_doodle Au - We ran out of rats

I just had to take part.

I didn't really change the pose or desgin, but did the work in the traditional way. Alcohol markers. I love doing illustrations with them because they give them a cool character~

I can share with you my theory on this drawing that Sheltered.uno created for this challenge. It might be long and boring, but there's just so much detail in this drawing….

The ability for long text posts~

Both brothers have daggers and you can tell it looks like they are trying to attack each other. Well it's kind of understandable looking at it after the comic where there was an accident and Mikey and Donnie had a big argument. I think this picture suggests that there is further resentment between them.

Looking at Mikey you can see that he is successfully defending himself against Donnie's blade. Michaelangelo is very calm. He's aiming for Donnie's neck and you don't see him hesitate like he did with his brother. I think he goes on to resent Donnie for what happened between them and for the words that were said at the time. Maybe as the youngest he couldn't handle it?

Donattelo seems nervous or unsure. I think he doesn't want to hurt Mikey because Donnie's grip on the dagger is tentative and loose. Mikey defends himself against him. Nevertheless, I think he continues to resent him, but Mikey is his little brother who he can't hurt. They are his family and he misses them very much, as you can see from the drones he has created with his brothers' colours.

My attention was also drawn to Mikey's hair. It wraps around Donnie's shoulder, perhaps the idea is that it is Mikey who has the greater advantage in this conflict? In the sense that Mikey is angrier at Donnie than Donnie is at Mikey.

This drawing has really piqued my curiosity about Au by Uno and Bread. I am very much looking forward to the moment when Donnie and Mikey meet~

We'll see how much of my theory is true and how much was just an over-interpretation of the drawing XD

hi- (warning: long post/rant, tldr at the bottom)

i've being thinking about (grieving over) rise lately with my friends and like- i am so mad bc we got all of season 1

then season 2 was cut in HALF, forcing the team to do their thing and complete the WHOLE SERIES in FOUR EPISODES and they only had FOUR MONTHS to do it (which they did and its absolutely amazing)

then we got the movie in Aug 2022, which is probably the last Rise we'll get, what with the Mutant Mayhem movie coming out this year. 

the real reason im mad is bc the creators of the show had planned for the show to be like 5-7 seasons, like PRETTY MUCH EVERY OTHER TMNT SHOW, and it only got 1.5 seasons, even though it may be better than other versions: the TEN SEASON TOY COMMERCIAL that was the 1980s cartoon, and all the different archs and seasons that 2003 got, which confuse me to this day being two examples of this, and so bc of the longer nature the show was intended to have, there are storyboards, deleted scenes, and rough animations out there that will never be completed by the actual team (shout out to all the AMAZING artists and animators recreating deleted scenes and revamping rough sketches and storyboards, as well as the rise season 3 fan project, ilysm thank you for doing the lords work)

the quality of the show, from the animation, to the voice acting, to the overall plot, to the comedy, to its ability to be darker or more serious when it needed to, to its amazing representation, not only in its casting but also its coding, was beyond SSS tier.

it was beautiful, and im so sad we wont get that ever again, not in the same way we did.

i dont wanna give up hope, there have been shows that were cancelled that came back, but mostly i just feel for the staff and cast, who you could tell really truly loved this show. they loved working on it, and they loved sharing it with us, i am so grateful for what we were given, but so mad that these people were forced to move on from something they loved.

TLDR; i love rise, its staff deserved better, amazing show, im sorry for the essay
