I realized I made some notes on how different characters fight in mob psycho, and I never posted them. here you guys go, for any reference needs
Mob: mostly simple attacks, not very showy, just waves his hand and uses telekinesis/exorcizes something, doesn’t move around much. As ???%, much more destructive, psychic force seems to just emanate off of him and destroy everything
Teru: VERY mobile, throws himself around with telekinesis, puts his whole body into the attacks and tends to use moves from normal fights (punches, slaps, kicks, etc). Utilizes a variety of psychic techniques with flexibility, very creative. Piss stance, necktie sword. Much more flashy than Mob
Ritsu: uses powers to throw people/things around. While Mob and Teru attack with just psychic blasts, Ritsu tends to use his powers to grab other things as an attack (grabbing the delinquents and throwing them against each other, throwing the Claw guards against the wall, picking up cars to sandwich Shimazaki between them). Uses his environment creatively (fire extinguisher smoke screen against Shimazaki). More flashy than Mob, but not as mobile as Teru. Hand gestures for Drama
Shou: sneaky + speed + bomb!! Tries to be as evasive as possible using invisibility/speed (probably telekinetically enhanced?) to hit from behind, using either telekinetic force (his stomp in his introduction, the shockwave hit on ???%) or his charge bomb attack. Potentially uses speed/evasive moves as defense instead of the barriers we see most everyone else use
Serizawa: likes to channel his powers into an object (umbrella, business cards). Uses that object as a shield, sword, or something to blast psychic powers out of. Not very mobile in season two, moves around much more in the yokai fight. Not particularly flashy, but looks cool regardless
Reigen: deception/surprise!!! Either tricks people into thinking he’s going to do something else and then attacking, or just outright taking them by surprise and attacking before they know what’s going on. Usually doesn’t have a follow-up move, just does the one attack and hopes for the best. Prefers to bluff his way through a situation

Hypothetically, HYPOTHETICALLY, if someone were to write a Saiki Kusou no Psi nan crossover with assassination classroom. In your opinion, what would be the funniest, clever or most mysterious way to integrate him into class 3-E? (Assuming you've read/watched the series that is).
(this took way too long because i ended up binging the whole series for ‘research’)
Summary: Saiki tries to hide his psychic powers from the assassination classroom when he finds himself in their world.
Saiki needed to stop getting himself into these situations. He didn’t know which gods felt the need to torment him like they did, but an angry letter of complaint to their office wasn’t enough to make up for what happened.
It started as soon as he woke up. Approximately 0.0076 seconds after he got out of his bed, Saiki had noticed something wasn’t right. His limiter had fallen out during his sleep, and was now partially under the pillow. His bed and the better chunk of his room were submerged in sand, which went on for miles. Using his clairvoyance, Saiki still couldn’t see any people for a good 50 kilometres. He had found himself in the middle of the desert.
“Yare yare, I must’ve teleported.”
He then had tried teleporting to his house, but he couldn’t find it. He went through the whole neighbourhood, but his dad and mom didn’t seem to… exist? He even checked the whole country, But popping up all over Japan attracted the attention of a few parties.
And that eventually ended up with him here, With a government agent prattling on about whatever threat the world faced. After revealing his telekinesis on a surveillance camera (thankfully they never found out about his teleportation), the government of Japan had noticed him, and had immediately dragged him to a secret government bunker, talking about how they knew he had special powers. Not that he was listening. Instead, he was worrying over what had happened to everyone he know. The latest theory he had come up with was he had hopped a dimension. It only happened once before, and ended with him running from powerful espers from the 7th division of Claw. He soon realized it would take a day to get back to his normal dimension when he was trying to get back, so that was probably the minimum amount of time he’d have to spend here.
“What a cliche trope”  Saiki sighed. “I’ll just have to play along, I guess”
“-the reward is 30 billion yen to kill that yellow monster. Will you do it?” The annoying side character agent, who introduced himself as Shiro, finished.
Saiki rolled his eyes. Even if he’d rather spend the day taking advantage of this universe’s coffee jelly, he knew he couldn’t escape the plot. If he tried running, he would just get dragged back into it for some stupid reason, or he’d be pulled into another, more ridiculous, story. It was the only thing that could beat him.
A nod confirmed his alliance.
“Excellent! I’ll get you prepared.” Saiki’s mind-reading abilities told him Shiro wasn’t the most mentally stable, but he figured he’d have a few episodes before Shiro went full crazy.
“Time to get you enrolled in the assassination classroom.”
(Somewhere in a sketchy government facility)
A bloodstained report smacked onto the desk of the prime minister.
“We have intel.” the spy who had delivered the file spoke, with his toque shading his eyes, and you could only see his dark pupils drilling down into your head.
“What’s it aboot?” The prime minister’s eyes had seen his fair share of wars, they were dark and unbreakable like a beaver’s den. He pulled the files toward him, examining the files with the intensity of as if they were tickets to a professional hockey game.
“The Japanese have been keeping secrets from us, sir. They have been hosting a dangerous octopus creature, who says they’ll destroy the Earth next March.”
“Those bastards.” The prime minister stood up from his desk, causing his chair to scrape the floor as it moved away from him.
“When I’m done with them, I’ll show them no mercy.” He furrowed his brows. “I’d bet a toonie they thought we couldn’t help because we’re a ‘peaceful’ country. I’ll show them… when we BLOW UP THAT MONSTER OURSELVES!!”
“How do you plan to accomplish that, sir?”
“Heat seeking missiles. We aim it right at the students so that damn octopus can’t escape, then we bomb the whole thing with anti-teacher pellets.”
“Sorry for doubting your plan, sir.”
“Sorry for making you doubt my plan.”
“Sorry.”
“Sorry.”
“I hear we’re getting another student transfer, Kayano!” Nagisa stopped to chat with his fellow student on the way to their mountain school.
“Do you think they’ll be normal this time?” Kayana said.
“Doubtful” Itona appeared. “The only transfer students we have are freaks. I had tentacles, Ritsu’s an assassination machine, and Karma has too many problems to be ‘normal’.” he listed the transfer students’ ‘quirks’ on his fingers.
“You might want to stop insulting me,” behind Itona, Karma stood. He smirked, then said “But I wouldn’t disagree.”
Everyone made their way to class, where KoroSensei was waiting.
“Hello class.” He tittered. “ The new transfer student comes today, and he has ALREADY challenged me to a fight, so we’re moving quite fast. Ooh, telekinesis? How intriguing!”
After staring at the note intently, KoroSensei held it up, showing japanese kanas spelling out the time and place for meeting, along with the students known powers.
“Now please be patient, everyone. The student should arrive right–”
The door to the classroom blew open. Shiro stepped into the scene, with Saiki a few seconds behind him, yet already regretting it.
“Hi.” Saiki said.
Stepping into the classroom, The minds of the students told Saiki about the previous fights of different rivals of Korosensei. All of them had failed, obviously. They tried to kill him, got beaten badly, then learned the value of friendship and working together. It seemed that was what was expected of him as a transfer. Saiki could at least help speed the process up.
‘Alright,’ he thought, ‘ I guess I have to do it.’
He held up his hands in surrender.
“Oh no. You are too strong, I can see it now. There is no way I can beat you. I’m so sorry, Shiro, I guess I’m giving up.” He walked off to the empty seat in the corner of the classroom, right next to a window. He smirked. A few more hours and he’d be out of this classroom .
“W-What?!” Shiro sputtered, stepping closer to Saiki with an intent to murder, “You’re supposed to fight. Get up and KILL HIM!!” he reached to grab Saiki’s shoulder’s before Korosensei’s tentacles pulled him away.
“You’re not allowed to hurt any of my students, Shiro.” Korosensei said, smiling. “Please excuse yourself from this classroom.”
Shiro left, albeit slowly. Saiki’s recently created plan was going well.
As Korosensei started the lesson, a student with flashy red hair (‘Karma Akabane’ Saiki noticed) leaned over to talk to him from the other desk.
“So, I heard you had telekinesis.” Karma face was two inches from Saiki. Saiki couldn’t really deny his powers here. He nodded.
“Interesting!” His face was now just an inch away. “Can I have an example?”
Yare yare. Saiki waved his hands, and a spoon flew into his hand from a nearby lunchbox. Letting go of it so it could float on its own, the metal spoon bent before Karma’s widening eyes. He let out a gasp,  making everyone turn to see the spoon that was levitating thanks to a certain psychic’s powers. Now he had an audience.
“Wow! I guess it’s true. How much power do you have?  Can you lift a car? A train? Could you fix the moon?”
“Why would I need to-” Shoot. That was close to revealing himself as an outsider. His telepathy showed him the broken crescent moon that all the class was thinking about. Could he fix it? He would have to take out his limiter and turn it back seven years, though it wouldn’t be hard theoretically. But if he said yes, that would mean they would ask him to fix it. It also wouldn’t make sense to how he could fix a whole moon and not defeat a yellow octopus man. Lying was the better option here. “I mean, no, Nothing bigger than spoons.”
“Um, okay.” The whole class was staring at him now. He could tell they were suspicious. He just had to switch the subject, and then they would forget.
“So what are those weird pink balls on your head?”
Shoot. He had forgotten to telepathically suggest they were hairpins. Being the center of attention was too dangerous.
“They’re my hairpins.” Everyone seemed to accept that, thank the gods.
“Wow! Can I pull them out and see them?” one classmate reached for his head.
“No.”
Yare yare. He might not survive today.
As Saiki was being tortured by the students of 3-E, Korosensei was sitting read The Great Gatsby. Even when he was thoroughly enjoying his book, his nose caught the faint smell of chemicals. Normally this wouldn’t be the biggest issue, but the chemicals were a fuel-oxidizer mixture, they were up in the air, and they were coming closer at a rate too fast to be a plane. Missiles, then. He could smell out the steam of infrared electricity, so they were heat-seeking missiles, specifically. Why would anyone send heat-seeking missiles to him? He didn’t produce that much heat, so the missile would more likely go to actual people like-
The children.
They were aiming for the schoolchildren, to keep him here. Korosensei couldn’t smell it now, but he bet there was also an anti-sensei missile searing through the sky towards him.
How could he solve this? He needed to stop the missiles, firstly. Should he tell the students? No, that would only worry them about problem with an obvious solution.
He flew off from his desk in the classroom. At Mach 20, disabling the missiles would be easier than stopping them physically with his lack of strength. Then he would have to bury them in the ocean, or maybe space. Speeding up to the closest missile, he noticed a Canadian flag design on its side.
“Canada, hmm? It’s always the quiet ones.”
He tried to open up the hatch to the missiles wires, but his tentacles burst as he touched the metal plating.
“Anti-sensei plating.” that made it harder. He could go back and grab his napkin to hold it, but he couldn’t navigate the wire system accurately with such a huge handicap. The only option was to evacuate the students and hopefully get out of the missiles range.
He flew back to the classroom, where a certain psychic was sitting.
Of course, Saiki knew about the missiles. With a quick check using clairvoyance, he counted 3 in total. Heading straight for them at about Mach 15. There was enough explosives to decimate the whole mountain. Korosensei may try and save all his students, but there were only 20 seconds left. He wouldn’t make it.
Korosensei quickly shoved his students out the door of the classroom.  He talked quickly as he persuaded them out of the building, but he was too agitated to fully explain the situation. Now there were 15 seconds. The missiles could be seen before Saiki and rest of the students were all outdoors. Everyone immediately realized what KoroSensei had been trying to do, and started to sprint, but no one here was fast enough to escape except Korosensei, and he would not abandon his students. 10 seconds. They seemed to realize the couldn’t outrun their death, so they just stood, motionless, wondering what would happen next. Less than 5 seconds left.
Saiki knew he had to do it. They would question it, and ask him why he hadn’t used his powers. But even if he hated confrontation, and talking, and socializing, that wouldn’t matter if they were dead. His rule of not interfering would be broken, but he could make an exception. No matter what excuse he made to himself, he knew he wouldn’t run away.
Two seconds left.
Saiki calmly stepped forwards to the missiles, putting himself in front of all his classmates. His hands stretched out before him. Like they were frozen in time, all three missiles slowed to a stop, five feet away from the students they were to kill.
But that was only a temporary solution. Taking out his limiter, Saiki set the missiles to seven years in the past. Plates of metal materialized to take their place, and fell to the grass. The clattered onto the ground unceremoniously
No one spoke.
“Wow.” Karma was the first to break the silence, “One question. How?”
“I’m uh… not from around here.” Saiki fiddled with his hands too much to be normal. He’d rather get hit by a missile than be asked awkward questions in front of a crowd.
“You’re American??!”
“No, that’s-” Why was everyone so stupid? “A bit farther than that.”
“You’re an alien!!”
“No…(Yare yare) well, close enough.”
“So why?” Nagisa asked. He seemed to have completely recovered from the shock of certain death, and now stood in his usual pose. Not cocky or reserved, but unfazed.
“Why what?”
“Why would you lie?”
“Because then you’d ask me to kill KoroSensei,” This much talking and honesty was getting uncomfortable. He might end up teleporting away from his problems.
“You can?”
Korosensei had gotten over the attempted bombing of his students and his regular smile was now imprinted on his face. “Now now, class, I’m sure he wouldn’t be able to,” he coughed. “So you aren’t remaining to study with our class?”
“No, I have 20 hours left in this universe”
“So you’re staying with us until then.”
“I was going to go and grab some coffee jelly from-”
“Great! We can teach you some assassination moves!”
They started to forcefully drag Saiki up the mountain, back into the classroom.
“So Saiki,” Karma said, in a cheery tone, “Can you fix the moon?”
“Yes, I’m powerful enough to.”
“Will you fix it, please?”
“No.”

Ensemble Stars Superpower AU
Disclaimer:
-I actually made this list just for fun, not wanting people to take it very seriously. If you want to take some ideas of it for your work (fanart/fanfic), you don’t need to tag me or anything (only if you want, of course), I’ll just be so happy if you would send me a link of it, but you don’t really need to. It only will make my day happier~
-If you don’t like something about and you want to change it for your work, I don’t really care, feel free to do whatever you want~
-If any of this superpowers resembles too much of any power of an official work, you don’t need to tell me, I actually was pointed out when making it and I also looked it up to see from where it can be also from. As I said, you can ALWAYS change it at your will.
-It was originally made to be a bnha AU, but I changed it to make the options wider and have more freedom about the universe. But you can change that.
A little about the universe:
-The original units of the game here are separated as training groups.
-The idols in the game are in this universe in the superpower course. It’s divided into two sub courses, the fighting course and the social help course. Some people go on both, and some just go to one of them, depending on their power. The special corp. course only learns to fight and improve their powers on battle. They normally turn into superheroes or work in the military. The social help course uses their power on normal jobs to help people. They normally turn into detectives, doctors, firefighters etc.
Subaru
Electric Manipulation: He’s not very strong, but he can use it good in battles. He also pranks people by burning down lamps and shutting down electronics.
Hokuto
Light Materialization: This power can turn strong light beams into fine glass-like shards and sticks, which he normally fights using it like a sword, throwing knives or shield. People do confuse it with Ice Manipulation, since it looks very similar and his family is specialized with Ice. Since its weakness is darkness he teams up with Subaru quite a lot.
Mao
Time Traveler: He can travel for a short time back in the past. The maximum he did was going back to one week, but everything changed so drastically that he swore to himself to never going back more than 3 days.
Makoto
Technological Manipulation: He can manipulate any sorta of digital objects that he has his hands on. It’s more of an Electric power but he can’t lash out like Subaru does, since it’s made for very precise work. He uses it more for investigation, but he’s working to use it in battle.
Rei
Mental Manipulation: It’s much like a hypnosis, but stronger, he can manipulate someone actions and speech entirely by a simple touch on the forehead for a good time being. He also can read someone’s mind when using it, but he prefers to use it for good causes. Nowadays he only uses it when Koga goes into rampage modus in his wolf form.
Koga
Wolf Transformation: He transforms his body into a wolf creature. It’s very large and powerful, but if Koga is very enraged in this form, he can go into rampage modus, attacking everything, not caring if it’s a enemy or friend. Rei helps him to calm down.
Adonis
Sand Manipulation: He attacks with loads of sands, forming into different forms. When he entered Yumenosaki he could only form scary monsters and animals, which people distanced a little from fear. Right now, he’s learning to also make cute forms and help people.  He also when his heart beats too fast from something suddenly, he can break the nearest glass into pieces.
Kaoru
Human Senses Manipulation: He can take out people’s sense but while doing it, he also needs to give up on one of his. People were scared before from him, since there was a rumor that you would lose that sense forever, but it was a huge lie.
Eichi
Psionic: A very wide mental power, it has a bit of every mental power possible. Eichi developed this power very, very young. It’s absurdly strong, so strong that his body can’t follow it. He normally never uses it since its power is uncontrollable and he can destroy himself using it too hard. He promised to himself that when the time comes he will lash out the power and won’t look back. In a group battle challenge he already almost died.
Wataru
Body Shifter (human): His power is limited to only humans that he knows the appearance. But he can imitate their exact voice, quirk and also personality.
Tori
Hypnotic Object Summoner: He can summon a wished object of the victim as a trap. If the victim falls on it (which is normally the case), they fall into a hypnosis state. Since he doesn’t like to fight at all, Yuzuru does the rest of the dirty work.
Yuzuru
Shadow Manipulation: He can only manipulate his own shadow, but also can stretch it and make it into a physical 3D form. The range depends on how much light is falling, making it 50m long in the normal sunlight. The shadow can’t be touched or hurt, but it can actually touch and grab stuff, making it very strong, but it can be lost if it’s in contact with another shadow.
Leo
Sound waves Amplifier: He uses it to make sound waves of notes so strong that it can attack someone; the notes interfere on how the attack will be (higher notes are more precise and cutting thin attacks; deeper notes are more imprecise and 360° ranged). Normally people do confuse it with Air Manipulation. He also uses outside battle and practice to help with inspiration on his songs even when his group members forbid him since he normally destroys stuff when doing it.
Arashi
Weather Manipulation: A very difficult power to use freely, but they master it perfectly. It also can’t be used all time since it can bring nature into chaos, which is a good excuse for them not to train in school.
Izumi
Ice Manipulation: A charming power, he uses it mostly to make cool shapes in battle. He’s powerful, but he makes his mistakes when nervous.  He also projects random ice thorns on his body when startled or when he sneezes.
Tsukasa
Telekinesis: Very common power on his lineage, but he still needs to learn a lot. He can at maximum lift cars. It’s also very tiring so he doesn’t use that often outside battle and practices.
Ritsu
Dream Wanderer: A Very strong power, but not very effective in battle. He normally uses it to discover people’s subconscious and make his strategies. He also needs to be asleep when using it but the victim doesn’t need it. He also only attends the sub course of Social Help.
Hinata
Neon Manipulation: He manipulates the gas neon, he can store it on his body and shoot strong lasers.
Yuuta
Plasma Manipulation: Likely his brother, but their resource is different. He also prefers to shoot discs than lasers and can make a force field, but it still needs improvement.
Shu
Puppetering: He can control any power of another person that he laces his strings on. The only weakness is that he can’t control the victim’s power if the person doesn’t have the mental consensual. He also is in control of Mika’s power most of the time, so he can’t use his power in its full form, but in a very small fracture of it.
Mika
Magic Eye: His Power comes from his eye and it’s so strong and unstable, that Shu needs to control it with his Puppetering Power.  They’re working on Mika to finally control it alone, but he feels too attached to Shu, so he deep down doesn’t want to improve and is afraid of Shu leaving him.
Chiaki
Fire Manipulation: A powerful young man, who in the past was very scared of using his powers because he could burn people very easily. He learned a lot over the years and now pretty much controls it perfectly.
Midori
Plant Manipulation: He can use his power to make plants grow and move at his will. He’s still learning a lot since a lot of plants demand positive energy to control, and he pretty much lacks on it.
Kanata
Waterkinesis: Very, very powerful mysterious young man. Rumors say that he can even lift the whole ocean if he wanted. But he normally uses his power to play on the school’s fountain.
Shinobu
Smoke Shifter: He can turn his body and everything he’s holding into smoke, making him an excellent young fighter. But he also turns into his smoke form unconsciously when startled or sad.
Tetora
Super Strength: He is very new to his power, since he bloomed very late. He looks up to Kuro who helps him to master it since their powers are similar.
Keito
Magic Archery: With a bow, he projects powerful light arrows on his fouls. He also has a very precise aim.  He normally doesn’t fight, since it’s still a very slow art of fighting.
Kuro
Corporal Boost: He can boost the speed and power of his arms and legs to give very powerful punches and kicks. But since he’s very pacific, he normally doesn’t use it to attack anyone. He also teaches Tetora to make him stronger.
Souma
Liquidify Metal Power: He can turn any metal into liquid and make it back to solid at will. He also can manipulate and shape it very easily, almost making it a Metal Manipulation Power. He knows that people could use his power for bad things so he learned to have a very strong mind against any mental manipulations.
Madara
Body Shifter (Weapon): He can turn his body parts into any kind of weapon (mostly made by metal). His favorite weapons are long ranged machinery. He’s extremely talented, so he doesn’t train with a group but actually helps groups to train.
Nazuna
Super Jump: Very talented and hard working, he turned miserable very long jumps into too-fast-for-the-human-eye super jumps. Mitsuru says that even him can’t follow Nazuna sometimes.
Hajime
Healing: It’s a very good power but he’s still very young. He can heal Medium-sized wounds, but he still struggles with sicknesses and large wounds. He needs days to complete it. He also is only in the Social Help course.
Tomoya
Animal Whisperer: He can talk with any kind of animal and he’s very good on that. Since it’s not a battling power, he pretty much only stays in the Social Help course.
Mitsuru
Super Speed: He can run in a super fast speed, but he is still learning, so he can’t keep up with Nazuna’s super jumps. He also is very careless, making him trip over things while running.
Tsumugi
Divination: He was a pretty talented boy, but on the second year Eichi had a small incident and Tsumugi was mentally affected. He can’t use his powers since then, but Natsume helps on that by stealing his blocked powers.
Sora
Soul Reader: He can read people souls and know exactly their weakness. He has a little problem by reading very strong power users, he describes as seeing the person having fog around them all the time. But only Natsume knows about this.
Natsume
Power Stealing: He can steal any power he wants, only by a simple touch, but he can maximum use it for a minute. He pretty much uses Tsumugi power to know the things since Tsumugi has a block. He also respects Eichi’s deadly power and he swore to himself to never steal his power and possibly die.
--
I’ll be adding separate characters sheets for everyone if it gets popular or you can always send me a request for one character sheet and I’ll do it as soon as possible.
Maybe I’ll change the post in the future.

Mine from Akame Ga Kill.  She's bratty, self-centered, thinks her word is law, and in the end she suddenly falls for Tatsumi and dies dispute calling him useless and unprofessional throughout the whole series. Plus we're supposed to sympathize with her for being bullied as a child and feel that that justifies her anger towards Tatsumi, but it doesn't.
Takagi from High School of the Dead. She's pretty much a richer, taller, more spoiled, weaker version of Mine. The main difference is she doesn't end up loving anyone nor become likable in the end. She complains 24/7 particularly during the worst times, constantly reminds everyone that she's the smartest, and she's so weak and useless she constantly needs help from Hirano but proceeds to call him a fat nerd. She's also aware that he'll do anything for her because she's hot. At least Mine has somewhat of a justification for her personality, but Takagi's justification was she was too rich, too smart, and mommy and daddy weren't around enough because they had jobs.
Heroku from Maken-Ki. She has a kind heart and is very powerful, but what makes her annoying is the fact that she proceeds to bully and beat up Takeru for liking other girls out of jealousy. The worst part is she refuses to confess her feelings to him! Instead, she hits him every time he so much as hugs Inaho, forces him to join the security committee, and continues to whine about it. She doesn't even feel that what she's doing is wrong, plus she constantly denies having feelings for Takeru. I get that telling your best friend you love them is hard, but being a bully won't make them love you. Plus it's sad to see such a strong female character act so petty over a boy who barely deserves her.
Yuka from Elfen Lied. She pretty much had the exact same problem as Heroku. The main difference is she's in love with her cousin! Poor Kouta is completely oblivious to her rage because even he realizes it's wrong to be in love with your cousin! She's a nice person, and you want to like her but come on. Of all the men in the world, you choose your cousin then beat him up for liking and being kind to a girl that's prettier than you? Lucy may have been a murderous psychopath, but at least she was nice when she was around Kouta.
Excalibur from Soul Eater. If you've seen the original anime, I don't have to explain why he's annoying.
Amelia from The Devil is a Part-Timer. She's loud, insecure, and extremely stubborn. Not to mention the petty jealousy she had towards a 16-year-old girl for having bigger boobs than her. She constantly invades other people's privacy and constantly reminds everyone that she's the hero. We get it, you're the good guy, or at least that's what anime forces us to believe. Compared to Satan she's really unlikable. She actively tries to make Satan the bad guy, even though he is, whenever he tries to do something good. Not to mention she constantly complains and ridicules him at the most inappropriate times, even when he's saving her life. I know she has every right to hate him, but she doesn't need to be a self-centered bitch about it.
Ritsu from Mob Psycho 100. He's jealous of his older brother for no reason other than the fact that he has something that he doesn't have. Ritsu had everything Mob didn't. He was at the top of his class, had tons of friends, was athletic, and the favorite child. But he was so set on having psychic powers he didn't even know how good he had it. Instead, he acted like the world was unfair to him and was completely oblivious to how impractical psychic powers are. Sure they're cool but so what? You can't get good grades nor get a high paying job using telekinesis. Plus he has no idea about all the ridicule and alienation Mob had to go through. Ritsu didn't even think about why he wanted them other than to be superior towards his brother who wished he has everything Ritsu had. In the end, he got what he wanted, but that still want enough. He was still jealous that Hanazawa was way stronger than him.
Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She basically said fuck everyone else and repeatedly turned back time for the sake of 1 person. Yes, Madoka was her first and only friend, but come on! Are you that pathetic and desperate to spend the rest of your life with that one person you completely ignore the billions of other people? It also doesn't help that she acts like an emo throughout the whole series. What do you call a person who repeatedly does the same thing expecting a different result: insane. Homura is insane, and in denial thinking that she can outsmart a being who is basically an immortal god. She even refuses to listen to Kyubey after he point-blank told her the only reason Madoka is so powerful and is destined to turn into a witch is because Homura kept turning back time.
Sakura from Naruto. Pretty much the center of everything wrong with that show. She's whiny, almost completely useless for the majority of the show's runtime, and continues to throw herself at a boy who beats almost killed her. If she had the slightest bit of sense and gave Sasuke the beating he deserves and dumped his emo ass she would be so much better.
Luffy from One Piece.  Yes, that's right it said it. The beloved Monkey D. Luffy is annoying as shit. He constantly gets stronger without any training and dumb luck. I'm aware he trained with his grandfather and Rayleigh but in between that he has little to no training and yet he somehow was about to beat people who are seasoned warriors. For example when he first used second and third gear. When did he learn any of those? Luffy excels at the "because he's the main character he always wins" cliche. He's also the worst captain ever. Flowing him is like following a toddler. He doesn't take any of his crew's advice to consideration and is the sole reason some of the Straw Hats almost died and constantly get dragged into unnecessary conflicts. The only reason any of the Straw Hats follow him is because he saved their lives. Other than that he has no sense of direction nor any good leadership qualities other than that fact he possesses the conqueror's spirit, yet another convince he gets because he's the main character. Let's not forget that that most beautiful woman in the world is completely infatuated with him, but he's not attracted to her and called her by the wrong name the first day they met, kind of a dick move. Also, I can't be the only on who hates his voice.
Bonus: Every female character from Ladies vs. Butlers

Chapter 6: Bonds
The next drill consisted of what Ritsu could only describe as a psychic equivalent of weightlifting. He was able to lift smaller objects, and was even able to lift Teru when he wasn’t resisting, although that required a significant amount of effort. But his level of skill was nowhere near Teru’s.
“You were actually able to lift an entire fleet of cars by yourself?”
“I had some help from the kids from the Awakening Lab, but I really was doing most of the work. Takeuchi also helped me later. I was also running a high fever at the time so I wasn’t in the best of shape.”
“You were running a high fever?”
“Yes, I just said that.”
“So were you also sick when we were fighting Shimazaki?”
“Yeah. It’s kind of a shame. Maybe if I was in better shape I would have been able to kick his ass harder.”
Ristu was speechless. Teru was just talking about this as if it were no big deal. Was that some attempt at being humble? Because it was pissing Ritsu off.
Teru walked over to the backpack he left lying on the ground and pulled out a notepad and a pen.
“What’s that for?” asked Ritsu.
“Progress tracking.” Teru flipped open the notepad and started writing something down. “I was going to do this initially with the barrier training, but I fucked that up.”
“I told you, I was just about to tell you to stop.”
“Well then I’m sure you’ll do better tomorrow when I actually track your progress on that. But for now let’s focus on your telekinesis.”
Teru’s writing eventually came to a stop, and he opened his mouth to speak once more.
“So here’s the deal,” started Teru. “You can lift objects as big as people, and you can blast away objects even bigger. But you can’t lift anything much heavier than a fridge, you can barely move me when I’m resisting, and you can’t lift yourself.”
“I probably could have just told you that.”
“No. It’s better I see you attempt. I can at least make an estimate of how much potential you have that way.”
“So what do you think?”
“I think in order to beat Suzuki-kun, you need to at least be able to lift the equivalent of a cement truck.”
“A what?”
“I’m not finished yet. Your telekinesis also needs to be able to have some sort of effect on me. You need to be able to hurt me with telekinesis. You also need to be able to lift yourself, as well as learn some techniques that travel outside the basics. And you need to be creative with how you use your basics.”
“How long is this going to take?”
“I’m still not finished. You also should try and have something in your arsenal to surprise your opponent. For example; I can attack and defend simultaneously. That’s a rare skill that most espers wouldn’t expect. You need to have a skill like that to throw your opponent off guard.”
“Are you finished now?”
“Yes.”
“So how long do you think this is going to take?”
“It’ll take as long as it takes, Ritsu-kun.”
Ritsu had to wonder why he expected anything other than a vague answer. Teru noticed Ritsu rolling his eyes, and spoke again.
“Ritsu-kun, if there’s one thing I’ve learned since I met your brother, it’s that people are full of surprises. I want you to surprise me.”
It was a lot to take in, to say the least. Teru’s list of requirements was heavier than expected. And Teru seemed to have high expectations. But Ritsu was used to it. They were no higher than the expectations Ritsu put on himself. Not even close.
The rest of the training consisted on various drills designed to improve strength. Teru would throw rubble at Ritsu’s barrier to see how well Ritsu could adjust his power levels appropriately on reflex. Teru would gather up large pieces of rubble and rock to make boulders for Ritsu to attempt to break. Everything was going smoothly, which was surprising considering their rocky start. Perhaps it was because there was no need for conflict between the two espers. It was simple. Teru would tell Ritsu what to do and Ritsu would do it. The exercises were productive and Ritsu had no reason to complain. This was what he asked for.
“You’ve been doing well so far!” said Teru as he bent down to sit next to him. For the first time, Ritsu considered responding with a “thank you,” but a mouthful of tofu kept him silent. Both boys were sitting with their legs dangling off a broken ledge, but only Ritsu was eating.
“Although,” Teru started again as Ritsu gulped down what was left in his mouth. “If you were hungry you really should have said something.”
“I thought you’d know when a reasonable time to eat was.”
“Sorry, I forgot to keep track of time.”
Ritsu continued eating in silence for a few more minutes until he noticed that Teru hadn’t even moved to reach for the backpack of food.
“Aren’t you going to eat?”
“Oh, no don’t worry. I’m not hungry.”
“You’re not hungry?”
“Yes, what about it?”
“It’s been four hours.”
“Has it now?”
“Yes! You were the one who said that first!”
“Ah, sorry. I guess I’m a bit forgetful today.”
Ritsu stared at Teru in silence, stunned. Ritsu knew Teru was strange, but this was weird even for him. After staring a bit, Ritsu noticed something else that was off. Teru wasn’t moving. He was staring straight ahead, eyes perfectly still and unblinking. There was no sound or movement coming from him to give off the impression that he was breathing. In fact, there was no heat coming off of Teru at all. Teru suddenly started moving again when he appeared to notice Ritsu’s stares.
“Is something the matter?” asked Teru.
“Ah! It’s nothing!” Ritsu tried his best not to look suspicious, but he was sweating from nervousness.
“Are you sure? Is there something on my face?”
“Uh…” Ritsu genuinely could not figure out how to answer that question. There was nothing on his face. No pores. No wrinkles. Nothing.
“I’m just wondering what we’re going to do next!” Ritsu hoped that was a good enough response.
“Ah, are you that excited? Then we’ll start the final spar right away!”
Teru slid off the ledge and let himself fall down to the clearing at the bottom of the crater where most of their training had taken place.
“Aren’t you coming?” Teru yelled up.
“Oh, right!” Ritsu nervously hopped down to Teru’s level and tried his best not to focus on his body that was approaching uncanny valley territory.
“The rules are simple. Whoever can stun their opponent for ten seconds wins. Got it?”
“Y-yeah…”
“Don’t be nervous, Ritsu-kun. I don’t expect you to win the first time. Just try your best!”
On any normal occasion Ritsu would have been annoyed by a comment like that. Teru twisted his knees into his signature stance and counted to three before darting straight towards Ritsu. Ritsu put up his barrier and blocked Teru’s first attack, which appeared to be an energy bomb. Teru hopped back as the explosion went off and Ritsu decided to lower his barrier to make his own attack. Until he heard someone speaking right behind him.
“I’m disappointed in you, Ritsu-kun.” The voice was so close Ritsu could feel it breathing down his neck. But before he could turn around and react to it he felt something wrap tightly around his body.
“What-?!” Ritsu felt himself being swept off his feet. His arms were now fully secured to his sides, completely restraining him. Looking down, he saw that the thing tying him up was what appeared to be a rope of yellow psychic energy. Following it down he could see Teru connected to it a few feet below him next to… another Teru?
“Three seconds,” said one of the Terus. Ritsu was so dizzy he couldn’t really tell which one it was..
“How-”
“It took me three seconds to beat you. And I only needed to lift a finger. But that’s not why I’m disappointed in you.”
Ritsu struggled against the bind to get a better view of his now duplicated opponent. There certainly were two Terus standing on the ground, both with stern looks on their faces. One of them was holding his finger up where the energy connected to. Ritsu had a good idea of what was going on.
“You cloned yourself?”
The second Teru suddenly vanished into thin air, answering Ritsu’s question.
“Ritsu-kun, do you know how long you’ve been training with that clone?”
Ritsu stopped struggling and froze, stunned. Suddenly everything made perfect sense.
“Since lunch, right?” answered Ritsu.
“Wrong. You’ve been training with that clone since we started telekinesis training.”
“Eh?!” Ritsu couldn’t believe his ears. Teru had to be joking.
“So you didn’t even notice that anything was wrong until lunch.”
“Wait a second! You can’t be serious!”
“I was even trying to make it easy for you, you know. I made sure my footsteps were loud so you could hear me walk in the other direction, and then silently sent the clone right next to you. Did you not notice that?”
“Ah!” Ritsu remembered, “I did! But I-”
“But nothing. You did nothing. You said nothing. You know for someone who outright told me that you don’t trust me, you sure do trust me a lot.”
“But why did you-”
“Ritsu-kun, why didn’t you say anything during lunch?”
“I don’t know! What was I supposed to even say? ‘Hey Teru-san, I noticed you don’t have a heartbeat. What’s up with that?’”
“Would have been better than nothing.”
“Oh, just shut up and let me down! You win, okay?”
“Are you telling me that you want me to free you?”
“Yes!”
“Did you also want to have lunch an hour ago?”
“Huh?”
“Listen up, Ritsu-kun. This is a lesson. I can let you go, but I can’t free you. You need to do that yourself.”
Teru brought Ritsu back down to the ground and released him.
“Alright,” said Teru in a much more upbeat voice. “You failed your first test, but that’s ok. Failure is the best teacher. I’ve learned that from experience.”
“You mean when my brother kicked your ass?”
“Anyway,” said Teru, ignoring Ritsu’s comment. “Do some stretches and we’ll run back to the bus stop. Same time tomorrow. Weekends off. Got it?”
“Got it.”
It was going to be a long break.
“Ah, welcome back Ritsu!”
Had it been a few months ago, Ritsu would have been happy to see his brother relaxing on the couch. He would have returned his warm smile and offered to play video games with him. But that was back before all this.
It was growing up his throat now. What was it? Ritsu was too tired to even contemplate it.
“Hey, Nii-san.”
“You look exhausted. You were out with Suzuki-kun all day though, so I don’t blame you.”
“Um, yeah. I, uh, learned a lot from him.”
“I’m sure you’ll get better! You can do anything you put your mind to!”
“Yep. Thanks.”
Ritsu hurried up to his room and shut the door quickly behind him and crashed on top of his bed. Everything hurt. And yet, there was something nice about the pain. Maybe it was because physical pain was always easier for Ritsu to handle. He was no stranger to it at this point.
A knock on the door violently pulled Ritsu out of his thoughts as he flinched at the sound of it.
“C-come in!” He sputtered out. And in came a concerned-looking Mob with wide eyes and a gentle air.
“Ritsu, are you okay?”
“Ah, I’m fine! Don’t worry about me, Nii-san.” Ritsu gave the best smile he could muster, hoping his brother would believe him. But Mob’s expression did not change.
“You’ve just been acting strange…” Mob’s quiet voice trailed off, as though he were thinking of what to say next. But when he finally spoke, the words that came out of his mouth were the worst possible words Ritsu could have ever expected.
“Am I bothering you?”
Ritsu clenched the sheets of his bed as his chest turned bright red. Ritsu could feel it. That feeling. It grew out past Ritsu’s throat and wrapped itself firmly around his tounge. It begged for attention and dug its roots deep below his stomach and through his intestines. Ritsu’s body was running out of room to hold something this violent.
“No! Not at all!” said Ritsu with the most forced smile imaginable. “You’ve done nothing wrong! I’m just tired from hanging out with Te-uh, Suzuki, is all! I’m fine though!”
Mob stood silent for a bit, but then smiled.
“Okay Ritsu. I trust you. But just remember you can always trust me too! If you ever need to talk I’m here.”
And with that, he left, closing the door behind him. And Ritsu was left shaken, gagged by his own emotions manifesting his every orifice. Everything hurt, inside and out. His body was sore. His body was full of thorns. Ritsu did not breathe when Mob left. He did not move.
Ritsu skipped dinner that night.
Teru walked up the steps to his apartment. It had been a long day and he was actually getting pretty hungry. But as he turned the corner at the top of the steps he saw an unexpected, yet familiar face walking down the hall. She was a tall, middle-aged woman with dark hair. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw Teru, and he was greeted with a wave and a warm smile.
Her name was Midori, and she was the landlady. She was also Teru’s aunt. Teru was immediately filled with dread.
“There you are, Teru-chan!”
“Ah, hello Aunt Midori. What are you doing here? Did someone skip out on paying rent?”
“Oh, it’s nothing like that! I was just trying to check up on you, but you were out. I see you’re wearing a tracksuit! Were you exercising?”
“Uh, yeah. Something like that. Ah-!” Midori grabbed onto Teru’s arm and started squeezing it.
“Wow! Your muscles have grown so big, Teru-chan!”
“H-hey!” Teru pulled her hands off of him.
“Oh, sorry! I should have asked first. But really, don’t you think you’re making it a bit unfair for the rest of your classmates? They must be so jealous of you for having magic powers and huge muscles!”
“They aren’t magic powers, Aunt Midori. We’ve been over this.”
“Eh, I don’t know. Being able to lift things with your mind seems pretty magical to me. So how have you been?”
What a loaded question.
“Uh, alright I guess.”
“What about your girlfriend?”
Teru was clenching his fists so hard he could feel the pain of his nails digging into his palm.
“She’s been busy lately so I haven’t seen her much. But we’re still dating!”
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
“I’m glad to hear it! You should bring her over soon so I can see her!”
Teru reached his hand up to his chest to unzip his tracksuit. His shirt was damp. His forehead was going red. The air around him felt like it was on fire. He had to change the subject.
“So why were you checking up on me?”
“Oh yeah, that! Well your parents have been worried about you. You haven’t been answering phone lately. I tell them that you’re fine, but they’d really like to see you!”
Teru put on the calmest most casual smile he could muster.
“Oh, I’ll give them a call soon!”
“You know, you are on break. Why don’t you go and visit them?”
“Well, I actually have plans with a friend so I can’t exactly leave.”
“Oh? What kind of plans?”
“Oh, you know. Personal plans.”
“Well if you have time, you should really consider it!”
“Yeah, I will. Don’t worry.”
Midori’s smile quickly faded and she began looking at Teru with concerned eyes.
“Teruki…” she said, “It’s been three months.”
Teru’s heart began to race as his head went light.
“E-eh?”
“You haven’t answered their calls in three months. They’re worried about you, Teruki. I’m worried about you.”
“Ah w-well,” stuttered Teru as he clasped his hands together, trying to avoid eye contact. “I’ve just been forgetful lately! That’s all!”
“She was crying you know.”
Teru went pale. His chest was on fire.
“Your mother,” started Midori, “She would give you the stars if she could. She loves you so much. But these are very important years of your life, and she’s missing them. Please, Teruki. I hate seeing my little sister like this.”
Teru’s forehead went numb. Everything under his tracksuit was burning.
“I…” Teru had to say something. Anything. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine. I’m sorry too. If you ever need anyone to talk to, you know where to find me!”
Midori waved goodbye and walked down the stairs. And for a minute, Teru forgot how to breathe. He forgot how to move.
Teru lost his appetite.

Thanks for the ask! A sorry has to come first cuz I had to reverse the order to 7-16-19-20-14. Thing is No. 14 went outta control so plz forgive me;)
7: What’s the most hilarious moment to you?
Hanazawa. Teruki. Ochimusha. OMFG. Not only did I learn a new word but it’s Genius humour from ONE. Awesome Idea. Hands Down. The way I laughed that day like no other last year. Just Perfect. Manga and Anime likewise the scene will never be forgotten by me. NEVER.
16: What would be your first or basic psychic skill (telekinesis, pyrokinesis, hydrokinesis, ect)?
HYDROKINESIS. HYDROKINESIS. HYDROKINESIS (explanation why is here)
19: Would you hone your basic psychic skill or try to learn different ones?
Yes. Yes to both. I’d follow in my son’s footsteps: Teru. I’d just learn from everyone and everything. After Hydrokinesis I’d just learn the other three elements and basically become the avatar of this world. Someone has to do it.
20: Would you try to use your psychic powers for personal gain or only if you had to?
It’d be a shame not to use such power, right? Like personal gain to arrive early to places, or maybe flying instead of using transport to save money, or maybe invisibility…for the right purposes ofc. So, yes within reason that it doesn’t harm or kill anyone in any possible way. But I’d love to use my powers freak out my family and friends for fun though. I mean, wouldn’t you?
14: Are there any MP 100 fanfics you HAVE to rec?
Yup, here we go. Bear with me cuz it’s long but it’s not my fault the MP100 fandom has good fics. I kinda feel spoiled. I can’t rec ‘em all. So here’s a few among many.
(Order is: General, Sakuyama, Ekurei, Serirei, Ritshou, and ofc TeruMob)
General
Temporary Accommodations by Originia is superb. Characters in character, dramatic moments, serious moments, intriguing moments. The body mind switch thing between Reigen and…? Yeah, it’s well written.
Three by Ravenesta is extremely excellent. Sensational to me. It has this as the summary on ao3: ‘ The staff of Salt Middle School consider Kageyama Shigeo’s third emergency contact.’ IF you’re not hooked like I was then I don’t know what to say.
Groceries by @crescentmoonrider is also superb. This writer’s background on Teru is extremely thought out well. The way it’s written grabs your attention.
9.8 meters per second by exogenesis is fantastic. The way Teru is explored in this fic is perfect, haunting, and real.
Silver and Gold by Sifl / @onepunchmusical is also fantastic. This writer gives me my quota of Reigen & Teru interaction. The Reigen & Teru with a touch of Mob is exactly what I’m after. I mean it.
ah, young love! by @dreamy–dark by is terrific. Thank goodness this writer brought more Reigen & Teru to mp100. This Reigen & Teru with a hint of Mob is wonderfully written. Love their nosy Reigen. I have no complaints.
This fic by @paperficwriter is splendid. I am a sucker for Reigen when he’s doing his father-role with Mob. The bond between them is so sweet in this.
Sakuyama
Maybe by power (teii) is also terrific. It’s not shippy but it’s not not shippy. It’s awesome. It’s Sakurai and Koyama dealing with things life after Reigen’s badassery, and it touches my soul and makes me want to explore them more. This writer has hooked me on them dangerously well.
Ekurei
1 by slutreigen (pleasejustno) is extraordinary. Don’t let the author’s name fool you but they write these two well. The subtly in the relationship kills me every time. But the banter in this fic 2 …it’s gooood. One day soon I know I’ll end up shipping ekurei.
Serirei
This Place is Big Enough for Two of Us by WritingIsMyCoffee is also extraordinary. The writer’s made it real and it’s gets real in this fic.
flower language by matsunoble is wonderful. Reigen is a freakin’ florist! It drives me crazy. This fic gives me life. Florist!Reigen is the best.
Ritshou
The Time of Change by SpringZephyr is also wonderful. It’s the sweet, real teen-like, funny fic on them I’ve ever read.
Aubade by Ravenesta is amazing. It’s Ritsu, Shou, College AU, Slow Burn and both of them decide to…well, I’m not telling you. Please read this yourself ;)
ANYTHING that is Ritshou by allthingsunrelated OR by krypkaktus (Regndoft) is also amazing.
Terumob [OTP]
Teen Spirit by @potato-eating-intensifies is impressive. The writer wrote one my fav AU’S in MP100. This delinquent!au gives me so much inspiration. Characterisation is handled really well, especially delinquent!Mob. The teen angst and frustration…loved every moment reading it. You should read it too. Like now.
asleep and constantly floating away by theholychesse is magnificent. It’s on-going, and I’m officially addicted, and it has PRE HUMILITY TERU AND MOB. It’s kinda my wormhole!terumob wish come to life. And Mob in this fic is, well…it’s a shock. Read this please. I CAN’T stress this enough.
And Under Your Breath (You Spoke of Innocence) by @terubi is also impressive. Nothing but excellence. So in character for my fav espers.
STANDING ON A BOX FULL OF STARS by @peanut-jars is brillant. Makes me say wow again and again and again. It’s short, sweet, and special. I can not not tell the world about this.
I Need Him by Kinyve is also brilliant. It’s Shou, Mob, and Ritsu crushing on my fav Teru. He’s the wanted protagonist weirdly enough. Growth by Kinyve is brilliant too plus college au, and on-going. One of my favs as you can see.
On The Other Side by tofuandnuts is remarkable. Seriously. It’s like the 1st age swap au on AO3 plus the first one I read, and still great as ever. Characterisation and relationships are handled well. Teen Reigen in this is a freakin’ joy!
Wake by @amaranthinecanicular is a must-read. This age swap AU has the word Hanazawa Shigeo in the summary. How can I resist? Relationships in this fic are gorgeously explored and Reigen is the MVP in this. He’s so precious. Teru’s job cracks me up but it’s becoming a real hc for me now. You can’t persuade me otherwise.
Turning Slowly by sorrow_key is also a must-read. This writer writes Mob like they have the blueprints to hi. The layers added to Mob were killing me. We are like literally inside his head! The addition of Teru and thoughtful use of other characters was beautifully done.
A Half A Spoonful of Sugar by bikeaesthetic aka @kageyamashigeo  is worthy of my heart, soul, and mind. One of the first terumob fics I ever ever read. Still fantastic to read again when I’m in need of cavities.
A Way With Words by entrenched is beautiful. I can’t take it. Plus the writer did a series. And the ending? My heart was failing and starting all at the same time.
Heat and Light by classicteacake is also beautiful. Gosh, the way they write just takes pieces of my soul I never knew I had.
Chick Flicks are Poor References for Romance by @fireflysummers is delightful. It seriously seriously is. Characterization for terumob is spot on.
If You Love Me, Won’t You Let Me Know by @one-trash-man is also delightful. Title itself speaks volumes. I was hopeless. I couldn’t resist and I don’t regret a thing. Pretty art goes with the fic too.
how the light gets in by iapetuses is also splendid. One of the tags the writer used was ‘oblivious teru’…That is the kind of swap realisation idea I adore in terumob fics. Let Teru be the clueless one. Btw the ending still kills me.
The end.

Chapter 5: Hidden
“This spot seems good,” said Teru, standing over the edge of a giant hole that spanned both the roof of the building and the basement floors. The place was certainly familiar to Ritsu. It was where the final battle between the Scars of the Seventh Branch took place, and it was one of several places where Ritsu found himself in yet another near-death experience.
But Teru was right about the place being perfect to train. There was plenty of rubble, pipes, wires, and other stuff to work with. There was also a nice amount of shelter from the weather. And neither of them would have to worry about the consequences of breaking things. Ritsu was starting to get excited.
“Ok,” said Teru, “Here’s the plan. This week we’ll be focusing on the basics. That is, your barrier and your telekenesis. Today I’m going to be testing where your limits and boundaries lie. Afterwards, we’ll work on pushing them to their utmost limits. Of course, we’ll be using the basics all throughout this training, but next week we’ll start on testing what other special abilities you may have.”
“Special abilities?”
“Like how Suzuki can turn invisible and how Shimazaki can teleport. As I’ve gone on to fight others, I’ve manage to pick up an array of different psychic techniques. So far, there have been very few techniques I haven’t been able to figure out through hard work. But it’s different for other people. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, there are things you can’t do. But I’m sure you already know that.”
“You’re referring to my brother.”
“Precisely. If that’s the case, you shouldn’t get hung up over it. There are ways to use your power creatively and effectively to outsmart your opponent.”
“Unless that person is my brother.”
“You aren’t fighting your brother, Ritsu-kun.”
“If you’re going to bring him up you might as well be honest about that, Teru-san.”
“Fine. There are some things that technique can’t accomplish. But even so, your potential is greater than most, Ritsu-kun. So much so, that I think you have a chance at surpassing even me. But you’re a late-bloomer so your powers havent had the time to mature. So I’m not quite sure what powers you have besides the basics. So I’ll show you everything I know. Anyway, somewhere in between drills we’ll make time for lunch.”
“Somewhere in between?”
“We’ll have lunch when we’re hungry! I didn’t plan out everything perfectly. Honestly I wasn’t entirely sure how this would go.”
“How reassuring.”
“Look, I’ve only ever trained with the Awakening Lab kids and myself. They can’t do the things you and I can do. But I’m not entirely sure how different your powers are from mine. So I’m playing it by ear. Today’s gonna be mostly experimental, but it’ll get more routine based later.”
“Alright, I get it.” Ritsu had to admit to himself that he was really getting excited to start. But god forbid he let Teru know that.
“Moving on, at the end of the day we’ll spar and then head back.”
“Won’t I be too exhausted to win by then?”
“You wouldn’t be able to win a spar against me even if you were in top shape, Ritsu-kun. At the end of the day I’ll judge if you’re truly ready to fight Suzuki-kun. Understand?”
Ritsu rolled his eyes. “Yeah, I guess.”
“Good,” said Teru. “Then lets get started.”
Teru hopped down into the hole through several stories of broken floors until he reached the deepest part of the crater left by their fight. Ritsu followed shortly after, using his psychic powers to break his fall and land comfortably.
“Okay,” Teru exhaled. “Stand close to the center and show me your full barrier.”
Ritsu did as he was told, exherting his energy to focus on his defense, creating a near transparent bubble around his body.
“Not bad,” said Teru. “We’ll start with an endurance test. I’m going to increase the pressure against your barrier using telekenesis. I’ll start slow and increase it little by little. Keep it up as long as you can.”
“Got it.”
Teru inhaled and reached out his arms in front of him, moving his knees inward into that pigeon-toed stance he always sported while fighting. Ritsu had to wonder how anyone could hold their balance while standing like that, but he wasn’t about to underestimate Teru’s strength. He braced himself.
“Tell me when you’re ready,” instructed Teru.
“I’m ready.”
The ground rumbled and cracked and Ritsu immediately felt immense pressure coming from every direction. It wasn’t enough to break the barrier, but it was enough to make Ritsu work to keep his barrier up. There was a familiar air to the type of technique that Teru was using.
“This is…!”
“That’s right” confirmed Teru. “Gravity control. I learned it a while back, though it was hard to replicate. I still can’t make black holes. But this is less dangerous. When you feel your barrier can’t hold anymore just tell me and I’ll release the pressure.”
It was a fairly reasonable excersise. If Ritsu hadn’t been so bitter about everything that led up that point, he might have expressed a bit more gratitude. The entire building was rumbling and moaning. The atmosphere was perfect.
About two minutes passed. Teru had been slowly increasing the gravity around Ritsu and both boys were starting to sweat. Ritsu was about to collapse, so he looked up at Teru and opened his mouth to speak.
And then Ritsu saw it for the first time. Teru’s mouth was open and slightly moving as though he were muttering something to himself. His eyes were blank, looking at nothing in particular, and yet wide as though he had just seen his worst fear. It was an expression of an indescribable emotion. Blank horror. Though Ritsu could only gaze at it for a second.
Teru’s eyes came back into focus, as if something had startled him, waking him from a trance. His fists clenched tight and he cleched his jaw down and showed his teeth. His eyebrows furrowed up as though he were in fight-or-flight mode. And the gravity increased.
Ritsu’s barrier shattered, but before his body could hit the ground, he felt a force pulling him gently upward until his feet were no longer touching the ground.
“I’m so sorry!” Ritsu looked down at a tense, geuninely shaken up Teru. He gently lowered Ritsu back to the ground.
“I’m really sorry,” Teru apologized again, “I spaced out. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Ritsu assured Teru, “I was about to stop it anyway.”
“You aren’t hurt, then?”
“I’m fine.”
Teru took a deep sigh.
“Okay,” he said, back to his original cheerful demeanor, “Take a five minute rest and then we’ll work on your reflexes.”
Ritsu was shocked as to how quickly Teru’s personality could bounce back and forth. He was starting to get the idea that maybe genuine concern for others wasn’t Teru’s strong-suit. Although, really, Ritsu knew he had no room to talk on that regard. There certainly was something familiar about Teru that Ritsu couldn’t quite put his finger on. But he knew one thing for sure.
Teru was hiding something.
As Ritsu leaned up against a part of a wall that remained in tact, he could see Teru with his jacket unzipped. His hand was pulling on the collar of the low-cut shirt he was wearing with a tight grip. Ritsu couldn’t see too well from his angle, but it looked as though he were digging his nails into the center of his breast.
Ritsu didn’t want to stare, but Teru seemed to be so lost in his own world that he didn’t seem to notice. He was moving his lips again. It was so slight, but Ritsu noticed. He wondered what he was saying. It certainly couldn’t have been good, from the expression on his face.
An emotion indescribable.
If only for a moment, Ritsu had to wonder if Teru knew. But the moment passed. There was simply no way. He was too smiley. He was too self-centered. But even with all that said and done, there was no denying that Teru was bothered by something. Ritsu was more than a bit curious, but he didn’t want to be disappointed. Considering Teru, it could be anything.
Ritsu slid down from the wall where he was standing and landed in a sitting position. He was still exhausted, but five minutes was hardly enough for a nap. He closed his eyes and listened to Teru’s footsteps.
Suzuki…
That’s right. That was the reason he was here. As soon as this was over, everything could go back to normal. No more bad feelings getting in the way. That was all Ritsu wanted.
“You ready?”
Ritsu jumped. He could have sworn he heard Teru’s footsteps trail further away from him, but here he was, standing right in front of Ritsu. And he looked cheerier than ever. Too cheery, in fact. Wasn’t he just moping a second ago?
“Uh… yeah, I guess.”
“Good. We’ll be working on telekinesis now.”
