I headcanon Mai and Zuko breaking up because they realize they still have some growing to do on their own after the war as singular people, and toph and zuko becoming best friends because toph was the one who wanted to give zuko a chance when everyone else disregarded him and they grew up in similar ways (i.e growing up in a rich family with wildly different but still parental pressure to be what their parents them to be) (also this is just me personally and I've just finished my first watch of Atla and haven't seen Korra yet so I'm very new to the fandom!)

oooooh i really like that!! ive never really shipped maiko (?), their relationship was never very believable to me, but i love the toph/zuko best friends dynamic its very endearing :)

for the aftg hc thingy(i don't remember the books that well but i still think about them from time to time, so these might be super inaccurate): aaron wore crocs in high school idk where that came from i just found it in my head one day,, renee does that thing with her hair where she braids a part of it so that it goes around her head, not sure how to explain it but it starts in the front, is quite loose and ends at the back(or back of the side) of her head, looks super cute,, matt drums his fingers a lot!! on the desk during class, on his leg, literally anywhere,, nicky never could keep a plant alive until well into uni or after graduation he buys a plant, a succulent or something, fully knowing its probably gonna end up dead and then he discovers he has a green thumb actually?? and then he gets a ton of plants and they're everywhere,, aarons gf has a little sister(like less than ten years old) and for some reason she absolutely loves him and wants to talk to him all the time when he's around

hmm for guitar i would say trim ur nails lol. they always get in the way. i learned off of youtube videos tbh so i would say use the internet to your advantage. i used a lot of different channels but primarily Guitar Goddess and The Groovy Guitar Dude. i highly recommend those channels
