Old Scars And Soft Touches

(Very short. And established yasammy)

Waking up every day after Isla Nublar made Yasmina more and more aware of the scars that littered her body. And as much as she wishes they would disappear and the torment they sentenced her to end, she knows it is impossible, but Sammy eased that pain slightly. Somedays, the two lay awake at night touching each scar, remembering how they got them even if the memories hurt it also helped.

It helped them heal even if it hurt. Healing takes time, and they know what they have been through will haunt them forever.

Listen I'm gonna make a thing out of this shipp (although I haven't finished the show yet) even if I have to do it all on my own.

In terms of jealously, Brooklynn is the most jealous of the three, nothing big tho, she just gets grumpy sometimes.

Speaking of Brooklynn, she loves to just brag nonstop about her two girlfriends online every chance she gets.

Poor Sammy has to constantly keep in check her two workaholic girlfriends, Yaz who literally does not know the meaning of "rest" or "day off", and Brooklynn who constantly loses track of time when editing her videos.

Once Brooklynn stayed up until sunrise and made the error of telling Sammy, she didn't speak to her for a week no matter how hard Brooklynn tried. (She briefly considered recording a video named "I slept 2 whole days so my girlfriend forgives me" but decided against it)

Sammy has the habit of naming baby animals after them. And also using animals as petnames.

Sammy is the most protective of the 3 and won't stand for any disrepect to her girlfriends.

Yaz and B are still quite protective tho and they will get physical with anyone that deserves it.

Brooklynn and Yaz do a lot of playful banter, but it gets to a point that it's like a whole different language for them, like, someone will ask Sammy why are they arguing and she'll just be like "Oh no, they are just flirting"

Okay, in the latter fourth of Camp Creataceous Season 5. I'll put a full review of this and season 4 when I'm done, since I never got around to reviewing that oddity, but for now, I'll just say this.

Western animation has been surprisingly generous in portraying lesbian couples these last few years. Obviously there is still a long way to go, and there is definitely a conversation to be had about mlm couples not getting the same amount of attention, but between She-Ra, the Owl House, and almost certainly Arcane (because c'mon), as well as shows I haven't watched like Harley Quinn and of course Steven Universe (don't @me with the discourse because I don't care), it has become something of a trend for wlw ships to become canonized these last few years, and I am here for it!

...I just wasn't expecting it from the YA Jurassic World show.

But fuck, I sure as hell am not complaining!

Camp Cretaceous Fic

Hey all so I finally caved and wrote a camp fam fic because there isn't enough. Yes, I am 24 yes I am obsessed with these children. I have a lot of feelings and I need to write about them. You are welcome.

It features a lot of feelings about their PTSD, Benji, Yasammy, Dinostar because the og ships were my fave (Benius did grow on me tho)

Summary:

A short-ish story exploring the campers reacting to dinosaurs being released on the mainland. Includes, characters having injuries and dissabilites from the island. Everyone has PTSD. Some flashbacks of how they reacted after being found. Lots of feelings and camp fam being each others family.

'Ben found out because of twitter. Fucking twitter. He held a bag full of chips and gummy lollies in one hand as he checked the notification on his phone with the other swinging his leg off his motorbike. The tweet he read filled his body with lead. ‘Multiple dinosaurs seen roaming off a highway in California’. He clicked on the thread praying to any god that this was some crazy fake news. As usual, no god answered his prayer. Images and dashcam videos are flooding his phone of dinosaurs walking around. He begins to hyperventilate when he sees her.
