Okay so post incoming for non Bangaloreans who had no idea what shit just went down.

So, an emergency metro coach got stuck between Mahakavi Kuvempu Road and Rajajinagar metro station and had to be hauled out with a crane. These two stations fall between the metro station closest to my house and between my college. (Both are on the Green Line of Namma Metro.) I was going towards my home metro station when my friend called me and told me that the trains from Yeshwantpur and Mantri Square Sampige Road (seriously I love the name Sampige Road, it literally means Champa Road djshhrhd) are unavailable. She was at a metro station two stations ahead of mine. I got to my station, called my dad a million times to tell him what happened and then called my friend. There was one metro going from Nagasandra (first station) to Yeshwantpur. So, I asked her to get on the metro and we would meet at Yeshwantpur. The train was so crowded I did not miss Mumbai at all. We got off at Yeshwantpur metro station.

My college, from our location was 20 minutes away. It starts at 9:15. By the time we reached the bus terminal, it was 9:30. We tried getting cabs and autos for HALF AN HOUR and no one was ready to drop us to the college location or ever the Majestic Bus Station. (That's a major bus terminal, you get all buses from there.) Then we got onto a bus at Yeshwantpur Bus Terminal (too crowded and a nightmare) and reached Majestic.

Since all metros are operating from Majestic, we got on a metro to the route of our college which was also crowded as shit, reached the station, dashed outside into the first auto we saw and sneaked into college. We reached by 10:30 and I had missed my first period.

While returning we assumed the metro issue might have been fixed. But it wasn't. So my friend with a third got on a bus back to Majestic, got a bus that does from Majestic to my nearest bus depot, and changed another bus to come home and walked 15 minutes back to my apartment.

All this while, we were contemplating on renting a flat near our college but it isn't feasible financially for either of our families lmao.
