"Philosophy" . What is Philosophy? . Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental questions, such as those about reason, existence, knowledge, values, mind, and language. Such questions are often posed as problems to be studied or resolved. The term was probably coined by Pythagoras. Philosophical methods include questioning, critical discussion, rational argument, and systematic presentation. Historically, philosophy encompassed all bodies of knowledge and a practitioner was known as a philosopher. From the time of Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle to the 19th century, "natural philosophy" encompassed astronomy, medicine, and physics for example, Newton's 1687 Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy later became classified as a book of physics. In the 19th century, the growth of modern research universities led academic philosophy and other disciplines to professionalize and specialize. Since then, various areas of investigation that were traditionally part of philosophy have become separate academic disciplines, such as psychology, sociology, linguistics, and economics. Today, major subfields of academic philosophy include metaphysics, which is concerned with the fundamental nature of existence and reality; epistemology, which studies the nature of knowledge and belief; ethics, which is concerned with moral value; and logic, which studies the rules of inference that allow one to derive conclusions from true premises. Other notable subfields include philosophy of science, political philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of language, and philosophy of mind. .

"Outdoor Yoga at @kunjapuritemple with our beloved students and our instructor Yogi Abhishek Ji (@myyogajourny) . Why you should try outdoor yoga? Here Are 4 Hard-to-Argue Reasons Why You Should Try Outdoor Yoga? . . 1. Natural Mood Boost Being outside in nature nourishes the soul. In fact, it’s been proven that being outside improves our mood in part thanks to the abundance of natural sunlight which amplifies our bodies’ production of Vitamin D. 2. The Power of Fresh Air Take extra deep breaths while you flow! The benefits of fresh air are vast! It enhances your body’s production of healthier white blood cells which, in turn, boosts your immune system. Fresh air encourages us to breathe deeply and that extra oxygen helps our brains function better and clearer.   3. “Mindful Multitasking” That’s right – think of it as “mindful multitasking!” Because practicing outdoor yoga can be combined with other forms of exercise such as walking or jogging for a double power hit of feel good endorphins. Just take a lightweight mat along with you or find a grassy spot to practice your Sun Salutations. Need help saluting the sun? Learn Surya Namaskar A and B: Sun Salutation Flow Photo Tutorial 4. Get Back to Your Roots As human beings, we’re meant to be outside. Practicing outdoor yoga connects us to yoga’s roots since the first practitioners (thousands of years ago!) knew that their relationship with nature was an essential part of yoga. This is even a fact proven by the names of the poses themselves. Extra yogi points if a passing pooch decides to Down Dog with us! . . Kurmasana is a seated yoga asana in which the body folds at the waist and the arms slip under the legs. It is recommended to stay in the pose for 30 to 40 seconds and for roughly five to 10 breaths. This pose is designed to create inner awareness and relaxation. As a result, kurmasana is touted as beneficial for relieving stress and improving concentration.
Its name comes from the Sanskrit kurma, which means "turtle" or "tortoise," and asana, which means "posture" or "seat.” It is so called because the asana resembles the shape of a tortoise in the full pose.
Kurmasana may also be known as tortoise pose.

Mayūrāsana or Peacock pose is a hand-balancing asana in hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise with the body held horizontal over the hands. It is one of the oldest non-seated asanas.
The name comes from the Sanskrit words mayura meaning "peacock" and asana meaning "posture".
Mayurasana is one of the oldest non-seated asanas used in hatha yoga; it is first described in the 10th century Vimānārcanākalpa. The Vāsiṣṭha Saṁhitā states that it destroys all sins.
In this asana the body is raised like a horizontal stick holding the floor with both palms while the body is supported by the elbows.

The word ‘Namaskar’ is derived from the Sanskrit root word “Namaha” meaning paying obeisance or salutation. It is believed to be started in India as a gesture to respect elders, salute gods, goddesses, Rishis, and so on. There are different kinds of mudras that heal different parts of our body.
Steps to do Namaste Mudra:-
1. Keep your hand on chest in namaste mudra.
2. Fingertips of both hands should touch respective fingers.
3. Certain hollow space is to be left between two palms.
4. Take attention to the gesture, Namaste.
5. Be aware of your mind and body.
6. Show your humble gratitude
It is scientific too:-
Offering Namaskara is not only cultural or religious, there is also the science behind it. If you are doing your daily sadhana (some spiritual practice), every time you bring your palms together, there is an energy coming out (a kind of vibration.)

Halasana (Sanskrit: हलासन; Halāsana), or Plough pose is an inverted asana in hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise. Its variations include Karnapidasana with the knees by the ears, and Supta Konasana with the feet wide apart. The pose is entered from Sarvangasana (shoulder stand), lowering the back slightly for balance, and moving the arms and legs over the head until the outstretched toes touch the ground and the fingertips, in a preparatory variant of the pose. The arms may then be moved to support the back into a more vertical position, giving a second variant pose. Finally, the arms may be stretched out on the ground away from the feet, giving the final pose in the shape of a traditional plough. Plough pose can put significant strain on the cervical spine, which does not normally undergo this type of stress, and can cause injury if not performed properly. . Many people are familiar with tight hips. Activities and sports that include running and jumping can make the outer hips tight, and sitting for long periods of time can shorten and stiffen the front hip flexors. One-Legged King Pigeon Pose (usually referred to as “Pigeon Pose”) is a powerful hip-opener that can help increase flexibility and the range of motion in the hip joints.
