Both of you and Wanda live in quite a religious area, so whenever Friday hits, your secret girlfriend takes you out on Picnics along the side of the river, where no one else can spot both of you.
"I see you got my message." The giddy redhead state, standing up from the picnic table cloth on the ground. "I did. And as soon as I read it, I went straightforward here." You smile, opening your arms for Wanda to enter your embrace. She hugs you tightly and snuggles her face into your neck. "Miss me much?" You ask while hugging her back, giggling. "I did." She mumbles. "It's only been a day, Wands." You smile at her while she looks straight up at you. "Yeah, but you know how clingy I can be." She admits. "I just wish that one day, it'll be safe enough for us to come out." She confesses, holding your arm up as she drags you to the picnic spot. "Me too, babe. Me too." You reply, Wanda, turning back at you. "Gotta say though, how did you have time? School barely ended." You say, looking over her shoulder to the neatly placed picnic on the ground. "Mr. Smith had an emergency and he didn't have enough time to call in for a sub." She replies, and you hum in response.
"Look, I made- well, bought, actually- some covered chocolate strawberries!" She happily states, squatting down and taking one inside the plastic container. "Babe, you didn't have to." You reply while she took some. "Ah," Wanda commands your mouth to open for her to put the sweet in, and you did. "Mhmm!" You moaned. "This is absolutely heaven on earth, sweetie." You admit with pleasure. "Only the best for my baby. Come here, let's sit." She says, pulling you over to sit by her side while she taps the spot.
"All of this... you know you didn't have to do this." "I know, I know. I just couldn't let the thought of you go when I saw those berries in the store." She playfully rolls her eyes. "And this?" You say, holding up a bottle of strawberry champagne. Wanda knew you. And Wanda knew your favorites are always anything strawberry. "I mean, how did you even get this?" You confusedly ask, looking at the bottle. "I have my ways... and by ''ways'', I mean Pietro." She said, making a slight duck face while nodding. "You know you didn't have to, right?" Your attention now backs to her. "Oh, I know baby. I- I just thought you'd like it." Wanda says as she crawls up to you to place gentle kisses on your neck, to what you enjoyed. "Plus, we'll need it to celebrate." She adds. "Celebrate what?" You ask playfully. "You know the quiz bee me and Steve competed this week?" She questions, you can feel a smirk form on her lips on your neck. "Yeah, I was sad I wasn't able to go." "Well, we won the championship, and I got a letter from NYU saying I got in!" She squeals at the revelation of her college acceptance. You push her away, grabbing her by the shoulders, "What?! Seriously? Congratulations, babe!" You congratulate her and gave her the tightest hug in the world. "Thank you, babe." She replies, almost out of breath, due to you squeezing her. "And have you heard about yours?" She asks worriedly, you pull her out of the hug and look directly into her eyes while you slowly creep out a smile, "I got in too!" You exclaim, smiling to both ends of your ears. "Ahhh! That's so great, my love!" She hugs you again, somehow tighter than the one you have her. You knew how much this means to both you and Wanda, and how she's super proud of both of your achievements, since her use of 'my love'. Wanda grabs two champagne glasses out of the basket and hands one out to you. "And here's... to us!" She says while pouring the drink. "To us!" You both clink your glass together and take a playful sip of each other's drink while your hands intertwine, smiling while trying to hold back laughs, looking at each other.
"So, you really going through culinary?" You ask her. "Yeah. I think I've always been connected to it in some ways. It was the only thing that kept me from destroying a building when I got that one-month internship in Lagos." She laughs. "Plus, your cooking is absolutely fascinating! Never knew making acorn squash could look so damn chic." You scrunch your nose, she continues to giggle. "And you, you sure about cinematography?" She furrows her brows a bit. "Definitely. Even before Aunt Nat passed, she was the first to introduce me to its beauty, and the moment I saw those visuals... I fell in love with them, and I knew I want to do it too, someday." You reply, bopping your head. "Not harder than me though, right?" Wanda squints her eyes. "I can never fall in love harder with anything other than you." You tackle her, tickling her while she tries for her glass to not drop. "S-stop it." She lets out, almost unable to form words cause of the tickling. You put your hands in surrender as she fixes herself up. "I hate you." She says while chuckling. "I love you too." You place a kiss on her nose, and she scrunches it.
Wanda lays in your lap as you comb through her hair, and her outlining the clouds with her fingertips. "Have you ever thought about getting out of here?" She asks. "You kidding? You know I love here at Peter's side." You reply with a sarcastic tone. "I'm serious." She focuses on you with her voice stern and brows furrow. "Of course. I mean, out of all the places and families we could've been born into, we were both placed in the most religious one. And there's nothing wrong with it if they weren't such a homosexual-hating community." You reveal. "I know." Wanda pout, looking down. "And that's why we're going to NYU!" You exclaim. "Just a couple more months! And besides, I wouldn't have changed anything. If it weren't for us being in here, we wouldn't have found each other, and I wouldn't take anything over what we have." You say, directing her face to you by grabbing her chin. "Although, if it so happened that we weren't born in the same town, even if we were born in different continents and families, I think our love would've still found each other, one way or another." You smile at her and peck her lips. She smiles as you peck, and when you part from her, she pulled you back down, grabs your face with both her hands, and now pulls you into a full-on make-out session.
As your kisses became more lustful, you find yourself on top of her. "Ouch." She hisses as you accidentally bite her bottom lip a bit too hard. "Oh, I'm sorry, baby." You apologize, creasing your thumb over her bottom lip. "It's okay. It's worth your kisses anyway." She replies as you flop beside her. She hugs you and asks you, "Do you think we'll be fine when we go to NYU?" She says, looking up at you, your chin above her head. "I think so. Nothing will break our bond and love." You kiss her head.
After a few months, you both finally graduated and eventually moved into your shared apartment close to campus. Wanda and you have never been closer since moving in together. You were both free and can now show who you both truly are. And after getting your degrees and having stable jobs, the honorable, Wanda Maximoff, had asked your hand in marriage, to which you said yes to.

Dancing, summer breeze. Slowly, as my hair becomes a tornado, a windblown wildfire, I can't help but imagine
The hesitation on your face when you, with a nervous smile and shaking fingers
Realized I loved you.
