streamer!vince dunn x reader
summary: everyone in vince’s chat thinks he’s in love with you, which makes hiding your relationship interesting
warnings: a few uses of y/n, i think that’s it. not too proud of this one
word count: 0.9k
“bluepanda2, thank you for the 5 gift subs,” you heard vince say into his microphone as you passed by his streaming room. he had been on for nearly 4 hours already, and while you were used to the long streams he did by now, nearly six months into your relationship, you did still get impatient waiting for his attention sometimes. you had been friends with vince for a few years, having met through a mutual friend and staying in touch via text, until one day he gained the courage to ask you out, and here you were now. knowing the stress that the public eye could put a lot of stress on a new relationship, you had both decided it would be best to keep your romance a secret, at least for the first little while. months had gone by and some people were suspicious, and some people just wanted it to happen from the few times you had appeared on or been mentioned in streams.
you didn’t always watch his streams, honestly not having the time to some days, and also feeling like you were spying on him sometimes when you did. but tonight you found yourself missing the man who was just up the stairs from you, and curled up on the couch in his living room with the stream pulled up on your phone.
“guys i’m gonna wrap things up soon. i have a friend coming over so i have to hop off early tonight,” he explained.
- is it y/n?
- i bet it’s y/n
- ^^ i wish they would stream together again
“maybe one day y/n will come over and come on the stream again. i’ll ask them.” vince smiled, reading the chat.
- he’s blushing!!!
- dunner is in love <3
- //youtube link - vince simping compilation//
- are you two dating yet?
- ^^ they’re just friends
- ^^ sure they are lol
"chat, i need you to stop linking clips about me crushing on y/n," he laughed, the crinkles by his eyes on full display, along with the dimple in his cheek that you loved so much. “we’re just friends.”
you smiled as you watched your boyfriend interact with his viewers, knowing how much they meant to him. hopefully one day soon you would be able to tell them the truth, but you both weren’t ready yet. vince wrapped up the stream, and you shut your phone off as you heard his footsteps coming down the stairs.
“hey, you’re offline early today,” you smiled as he flopped onto the couch next to you. “how was the stream today?”
“it was good. did you watch any of it?” he asked.
“i just caught the last couple minutes,” you smiled mischievously. “you know, when everyone was saying how much you love me.”
“hmmm,” he hummed, pulling you close and kissing your lips softly. “they’re right.”
“do you think we should tell them soon?” you asked, and he shrugged.
“i want to,” he ran his hand over his face. “i just know how people can be. and once it’s out there we can’t take it back, you know?”
“yeah, i get it. for now i’m happy having you all to myself,” you smiled, pulling on his arm until he laid on top of you, his head resting on his chest. your fingers ran through his curls, the soft locks slightly matted down from wearing his headset for so long.
“did you miss me or something?” he teased, and you flicked his forehead with your finger.
“yes, actually,” you pouted, and he laughed as he crawled further on top of you, his hands on either side of your head as his body hovered above yours.
“baby if you want my attention, you just have to ask,” he said sweetly, kissing you again.
“another quote that would get added to the compilation video?” you teased.
“definitely,” he smiled, and it was you that kissed him this time, hands tangling in his hair as you pulled him down. his teeth played with your bottom lip as you felt more of his weight on top of you.
“are you tired, vin?” you asked, and he nodded, laying fully on top of you now and burying his face in the crook of your neck. you giggled as he kissed your neck, his stubble tickling against your skin. “vince-“ you whined as he nipped at the skin softly, his hands on your waist, fingertips sliding just under the hem of your sweater. he only hummed in response as he left wet kisses up to your jaw. his lips finally traveled up to your again for one more kiss, before he sat up.
“i’m sorry i never pay enough attention to you,” he said, and you shook your head.
“it’s okay, i’m just being clingy,” you laughed. it honestly wasn’t an issue, there were just some nights you wanted to be close to him when you couldn’t. “maybe i could hang out with you on stream again soon, if the viewers are okay with it.”
“sure, you can tomorrow night if you want,” he said, and a devilish smile tugged at his lips.
“why are you making that face?” you asked nervously and he laughed.
“no reason,” he laughed, before pointing at your neck.
“but if you’re going to be on the stream, we’re gonna have to hide that hickey.”

Scent of a Woman - Journey to the Emerald City - Chapter 16
Tumblr media
Summary - Lex's embarrassing little secret leads chaos and misunderstanding on a road trip.
Author's Note- A return to fluffy Teddy and Lex. I apologize for the delay. I also apologize for the slight character assassination of Fanny. She seems like a lovely woman.
@pattiemac1 @newlibrary @penstxgal1968 @dutch-tv-fan @irlkpop
If you asked Lex, he would say that he had no idea where the habit began. He would probably deny that there was a habit at all. Truth be told, the desire that fed the habit began within weeks of the start of his physical relationship with Teddy. On a road trip later that fall, he found himself longing for her scent as he spent night after lonely night in hotel rooms.
He couldn't pinpoint the exact descriptions of her scents but there were two variations. One was her "fresh out of the shower” scent of Bath and Body Works Champagne Toast that reminded him of tangerines, berries and champagne. It was sweet and bubbly, just like her. She wore it in layers that ensured that scent lingered throughout the day.
The second was a rare perfume that was intoxicating. It had been a gift from her parents. She wore it sparingly, saving it for special occasions. Each time he smelled it he was transported back to their first kiss outside the Music Hall, to the landing outside the garage apartment where he buried his face in her neck as she tried to unlock the door or that moment she took him deep within her and leaned forward to kiss his neck. The scent was calming yet arousing at the same time. It made him dizzy with desire.
The first thing he "acquired" to satisfy his need for her scent was a scarf that had been tossed in a corner during one of their many races to disrobe each other after any sort of separation. He couldn't help it if the scarf accidentally made its way into his suitcase for the next road trip. Teddy never mentioned the missing scarf. She had convinced herself that she had left it at the Starbucks she had stopped at to pick up their coffee order. He never admitted it was in his possession.
The second item was the emerald green silk nightgown that she wore on their last night together before he flew to Pittsburgh. Obviously, it got mixed in with his clothes as they rushed to make his flight. It was totally normal that it stayed under his pillow and he smelled it before he fell asleep every night. Well until the scent faded into oblivion.
It was during his second return trip to Dallas after his trade that the third and only deliberate theft occurred. He slipped the small bottle of perfume into his pocket when he arrived at her hotel room. It was then that the habit began. One spritz on the hotel pillow and he slept soundly. At the time he had no idea that he would be continuing the action nearly two years later. It was his little road secret and no one needed to know. At least that was the way he planned to keep it until it all came unraveled. How do you ask? Three words- Tyler Fucking Seguin
October 18th- Pittsburgh, PA
Lex walked off the team bus with his cell phone pressed to his ear. Teddy was in the middle of telling him about the latest news in their hunt for a new apartment. He looked up as he began the walk to the arena. “Bliss, I need to go into morning skate. Can I call you” he began when he felt Tyler shove him behind before he reached up and snatched the phone from his hand.
“Teddy!” Tyler laughed into the phone.
“Tyler?” Teddy asked in question, “What happened to Lex? Why do you have his phone?”
“I took it from him,” Tyler laughed again as he turned to see Lex walking towards him.
“You…. took…. the…. phone from him?” she said in disbelief, “How did you do that? WHY did you do that?”
“You doubt my ability to best the Big Rig. Oh ye of little faith!” Tyler exclaimed as Lex approached him with a smile on his face. “I stole it because I texted earlier and you did not respond. I had to resort to desperate measures,” Tyler said before he realized what was about to be his fate. “Teddy!” he shrieked as Lex reached him, “He’s going to put me in a…..”
Tyler’s voice became muffled and Teddy finished his sentence, “A headlock? Seriously Tyler, did you not learn your lesson in September?”
Lex snatched the phone from Tyler’s hand, but continued to hold him in a headlock. Tyler’s arms flailed as Lex spoke, “So as I was saying Bliss- I have to go into the morning skate. I will call you afterwards okay. ”
“Lex…..let him go,” Teddy chided her giant of a boyfriend gently.
“Why? He snatched the phone from me while I was talking to you. That cannot go unpunished, Bliss,” Lex smiled as he tightened his grip. Tyler’s pleas for help could be heard on Teddy’s end.
“Lex…. let him go,” Teddy chided again.
Lex tightened his grip and Tyler inhaled deeply. Then Tyler’s eyebrows knitted in confusion. Finally, Lex released his grip, Tyler stumbled forward before he regained his balance. “Seggy sends his best, Bliss. Don’t you Seggy?” Lex smiled as he turned from Tyler, “I’ll talk to you later Bliss. Will you be at home? Can you help me with some pregame relaxation?”
“As long as Tyler remains uninjured, even if he brought this on himself, I can accommodate your request,” she smiled into her phone.
“Don’t worry about Seggy here. I am sure his pride will recover nicely. Love you. I will talk to you later Bliss, ” Lex laughed as Tyler stood and watched him. When Tyler started to walk towards him with purpose, he stepped back. “Woah, Seggy. You started it, “ Lex held up his hands in mock surrender. Tyler marched up to Lex, grabbed his hand and sniffed it “What the fuck dude?” Lex huffed.
Tyler took a step back and looked up at Lex, “Why do you smell like Teddy?”
Lex stepped back again, “Why do I smell like my girlfriend? I think that you can imagine why.”
“No, I can’t,” Tyler replied, “I can’t imagine why you smell like Teddy in the middle of a road trip.”
Lex blinked slowly. He thought back to his morning in the hotel. In his rush to pack his toiletries he had accidentally sprayed Teddy’s perfume. The mist landed on his hands and sleeve of his shirt. Lex struggled to come up with an explanation.
Tyler continued to pry, “We have been on the road for four days. I’ve seen you shower after games.” Lex lifted his eyebrow at that remark. “Not seen, but know that you have showered after games,” Tyler explained, “There is no reason to smell like Teddy unless……. Is she here? Did she sneak into your room last night? Is that why she didn’t answer my call earlier?”
“No, of course not,” Lex answered sternly.
“Then why do you smell like her?” Tyler eyed him suspiciously.
Lex ran his fingers through his hair and weighed his options. From what he could tell, it was either come clean or come up with an excuse in the next five seconds which seemed highly unlikely. “Fuck,” he huffed as he looked to the sky.
Tyler tilted his head. He had just been giving Big Rig a hard time. Now he was clearly upset. This had quickly gone from teasing to revealing something serious at a speed that made him dizzy.
Lex turned to him and spoke softly, “This stays between you and me, got it?”
“Nope, I am not agreeing to that at all,” Tyler suddenly got equally serious, “If you are going to confess to some sort of shenanigans that affects Teddy, I am telling her.”
“Oh shut up,” Lex hissed. Then he turned around and paced for a bit. “I smell like her because I accidentally sprayed her perfume on my hands while I was packing it this morning.”
Tyler looked confused, “Why do you have Teddy’s perfume? Is this some sort of kink….” He stopped himself short when the memory of the last time he suggested that Big Rig had some sort of kink.
“No, it’s not some kinky shit,” Lex whined, “I just like the smell. It helps me on the road.” Tyler blinked. “I sleep better when I smell it on the road,” Lex explained, “It makes me miss her less. Sometimes I miss her so much and the scent helps me.” His voice cracked at the end.
Tyler opened his mouth to say something sarcastic but words failed him. They stood and stared at each other. Finally Tyler spoke, “How long?”
“Ummm, since the beginning?” Lex replied, “It started off unintentionally with a scarf she left at my apartment. Then it was her nightgown she wore on my last night in Dallas.” Tyler’s eyes widened and Lex glared at him. “Then her perfume may have ended up in my luggage after my trip back to Dallas.”
“You stole her perfume? She didn’t lose it at the hotel?” Tyler laughed.
“You knew about that?” Lex questioned.
“Of course, I knew about it,” Tyler quipped, “She whined to me about it for weeks. It was her special Paris perfume and she lost it.”
“Her special Paris perfume?” Lex asked.
“You don’t know the story of the perfume?” Tyler remarked, “See…. this is why I am the best friend and you are just the boyfriend.”
Lex took a step forward, “Do you need the headlock again?”
“Okay, okay,” Tyler said, “Walk and I will tell you the story.”
“You know that Baxters all went to Paris to celebrate Teddy’s sixteenth birthday? You know Mrs. B- it was a production. One of the activities was a private party at perfumery where you can create custom scents. Teddy made a custom scent for Frankie and Frankie made one for her.”
“That’s the perfume she wears? The scent that Frankie made for her?” Lex interjected.
“Shut up and listen to the story,” Tyler countered.
“They each got two bottles of the scent created for them. Teddy has been using hers since Frankie died. When she finished the first bottle, she switched to alternating between the fruity one and the Frankie one. At least until she thought she lost it at the hotel,” Tyler paused to glare at Lex in disapproval. “She was heartbroken. It was one of the last tangible items she had connected to Frankie. I don’t know how he did it, but Mr. Baxter pulled the rabbit out of a hat and got a replacement.”
“Fuck,” Lex uttered, “I had no idea. I just thought it was a nice perfume.”
“So you stole it?” Tyler quizzed, “Nice… really nice.”
“You can’t tell her,” Lex replied, suddenly panicking about what Tyler would do with incriminating information. “Seriously,” he stammered, “You can’t tell her.”
“Don’t worry, Big Rig. Your secret is safe with me,” Tyler laughed, “It’s kind of sweet in a slightly obsessive-compulsive way. It’s totally on brand for you two.”
“Promise?” Lex asked with a hint of desperation in his voice.
“Dude- relax,” Tyler said in a serious tone, “Your secret is safe with me.”
October 31st- JW Marriott Hotel- Denver, CO
“Big Rig, it’s your lucky day,” the team travel coordinator smiled at him as she passed out room keys. His eyebrows lifted in surprise and in question. “It seems as if someone loves you and upgraded you to a suite!”
“A suite?” Lex asked in a confused tone, “Who would do that?” Then he smiled to himself. He knew exactly who upgraded his room- Teddy. He pulled out his phone and made the call. Teddy was in Los Angeles at a conference for social media influencers. She was scheduled to speak on panels about brand engagement and body image in social media. The conference conflicted with the hastily scheduled WAG “road trip” for the AV/Stars game.
Lex: Bliss? What did you do?
Teddy: I have no idea. What did I do?
She smiled at him as she walked around her hotel room in Los Angeles. She paused and looked out the window.
Lex: You know exactly what you did. The upgrade to the suite?
Teddy: Oh that? I thought it would be a nice treat since I couldn’t make the trip.
Lex: I would rather have a smaller room and you here.
Teddy let out a sigh.
Lex: I didn’t mean it that way. I understand you have your own career. I just miss you.
Teddy: I miss you too. I’ll see you Saturday night?
Lex: I can’t wait. Thanks again for the suite. You spoil me, Bliss.
Teddy: Nothing makes me happier than spoiling you.
Word spread like wildfire among the team and WAGS. Suddenly plans were made- party in Big Rig’s suite. When Teddy got word, she arranged for food and a bar set-up to make the party as festive as possible.
Later that night, the team was sitting in the living room watching Scream. Lex looked around the room and sighed. Couples were huddled close together. He felt a pang in his heart and thought about Teddy. Silently, he got up and went into the bedroom unnoticed by the group with the exception of Fanny, John Klingberg’s girlfriend. Her eyes followed his large frame until he shut the bedroom door. Lex walked over to the window and looked up at the moon. Then he picked up the phone and facetimed Teddy.
Teddy: Hey Lex
Lex spoke in a soft tone: Bliss
Teddy stopped in her tracks: What’s wrong, Lex?
Lex: I just miss you. It’s cuddle central out there and I don’t have my cuddle buddy.
Teddy: I am sorry, Lex. What can I do to make it better?
Lex: Remember last year when you sang me that song? From that mouse movie?
Teddy smiled at the memory: Yes, I remember. It was back when I wanted to say I love you but couldn’t say it yet.
Lex: Do you think you could sing to me again? I am looking at the moon.
Teddy: Of course, I can.
Teddy began singing softly as Lex listened. Outside the door, Fanny paced outside of the door. She turned to walk back to the couch but then gathered up her nerve. She desperately needed to go pee, but Benn and Katie had ensconced themselves in the suite powder room. Nervously she knocked.
Lex turned to face the door. “Yeah?” he answered abruptly, slightly irritated that his serenade was being interrupted.
“Ummm, can I use the restroom?” Fanny asked quietly.
“There is a powder room out there,” he called back.
“Yeah, but there are people in it. It’s kind of an emergency,” she replied.
Lex stared at the door and pondered her answer. “There are people in the powder room?” he thought to himself, “What would they be doing in the powder room?” Then he remembered Fanny was waiting on an answer. He walked over to the door, opened it and pointed to the bathroom. He returned to his position by the window.
Inside the bathroom, Fanny set her phone on the back of the toilet and attended to her business. She could hear Lex speaking in hushed tones, but could not make what was being said.
Inside the bedroom, Lex listened to Teddy’s sweet voice as he considered the powder room situation. Visuals of his very sexy encounter with Teddy in Tyler’s powder room flooded his mind. He was so caught up in the memory that he didn’t notice that Teddy had stopped singing.
Teddy: Lex? You still there?
Lex came back to reality: Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about something.
Teddy: And what would that be?
Lex glanced over his shoulder: Remember that time in Seggy’s powder room? Remember how I fucked you?
Teddy purred: Yeah, I remember that. I remember it very well.
Lex let out a soft moan: Damn it Bliss. You’re turning me on.
Teddy purred again: Want me to help you out there Big Boy?
Lex heard the bathroom door open and Fanny stepped into the room. He turned quickly back to the window.
Lex: Good God Kitty, you are so fucking sexy. I would love to finish this but now is not a good time. Maybe later?
Fanny froze in her footsteps.
Teddy asked: Too many prying ears?
Lex: Prying ears and eyes
Fanny stepped closer to the bed to hear better. She was almost touching the bed when the scent of Teddy’s perfume wafted into her nose. She looked down and then around. It was a distinctly feminine scent. It was a scent that should not have been present in Big Rig’s room. She looked at the bed and then at Lex. His back was still to her so she allowed her nose to follow the scent to its source- the pillows on the unmade bed. Her mind began to race. Why was the bed unmade? The team had just arrived in town that afternoon. Why was there a scent of a woman’s perfume on the pillow? Her mind lept to the most logical conclusion. A woman had been in the bed. A woman that was not Big Rig’s beloved,Teddy, had been in the bed.
She let out a little squeak and he turned to face her. Their eyes locked for a moment and Fanny turned to race out of the bedroom. In the living room, Fanny mentally replayed the scenario. “Maybe later?” she thought to herself, “He is making plans for later?”
Fanny smiled to herself and exited the room. Truth to be told, she wasn’t a fan of the Big Tex couple. Teddy and Lex had been given the moniker by the players and WAGS sometime during their “friends with benefits” stage and it stuck.
Moments later, Lex walked around and resumed his position for the movie. He didn’t notice the careful watch that Fanny took as he scrolled through his phone, looking at pictures of his beloved Bliss. He tilted his phone slightly to prevent the racier photos from being seen by others. He squirmed in his spot as the longing in him grew exponentially. One particular picture made him lick his lips as he switched over to his messages.
Lex: Good God - remind me never to invite people into my room again.
Teddy: Why?
Lex: I am so fucking horny.
Teddy: Easy there Tiger. Kitty Kat won't be available for another couple of hours.
Lex groaned out loud and looked around the room. Fanny stared at him. They made brief eye contact and he focused on his phone again.
Lex: Save me. I beg you. Fanny is staring at me like she can read my thoughts.
Teddy: Are you still afraid of WAGS?
Lex: Hey, WAGS are scary
Teddy didn’t respond
Lex: except you of course. Please Bliss.
Teddy: You owe me Tiger
Lex: Anything you want
Suddenly his phone rang and the extremely loud sound of Teddy's crocodile tears rang through the phone.
Teddy screamed: Lex!!! Lex!!!
Lex sprung into action. He jumped off the club chair and responded: Bliss!! What's wrong? What's wrong?
Everyone turned to listen to the activity.
Teddy began a torrent of incoherent screaming and crying. Inwardly, he smiled but his face showed concern. He turned to the group, “Sorry guys, Teddy is having a meltdown about her speech tomorrow. I need to talk her down from the ledge. You have to go. You have to go.”
Everyone looked at each other in confusion. He could always go into the other room if necessary. However, no one took the initiative to argue with the Big Rig who made it clear that he wanted everyone out of his room. He wanted them out and he wanted them out NOW.
They slowly shuffled out of the room, whispering amongst themselves. After a quick huddle, they decided to reconvene in Benn’s room. Fanny replayed the scenario from Lex's bedroom over and over in her mind. Should she say something? She would want to know if John was cheating on her. She stewed and finally came to the decision to ask the other WAGS..
She poked Katie in the ribs and nodded her head toward the bathroom. She whispered “It's an emergency.” Katie whispered into Anna’s ear and word spread.
Once all the women crowded into the bathroom, Katie stood against the door with her arms crossed. Because she dated Benn, she was the de facto leader of the group. “What’s the emergency, Fanny?” Katie asked bluntly. Quite frankly, she wasn't a huge fan and she had unfinished business with Benn
Fanny breathlessly described her observations to the group. She was met with immediate disbelief and judgment.
“I don’t buy it,” Andrea Bishop interjected.
“Me either,” Anna Lindell added.
“Look, I know that I am new around here,” Jennifer Spezza said, “But one thing I know for sure is that Big Rig only has eyes for Teddy.”
Fanny started to explain again.
“It’s almost like you are wanting it to be true,” Katie observed. The other WAGS nodded their heads.
“Don’t you think she would want to know?” Fanny questioned. This juicy bit of gossip was not being received the way that she envisioned.
“There is nothing to know,” Katie replied, “You smelled some perfume and overhead what you think was Big Rig making plans.”
“I think that we should tell her,” Fanny interrupted.
“Fuck no,” Andrea answered, “She has a huge presentation tomorrow. The last thing that we are going to do is upset her for no damn reason.”
With that, the group adjourned back to their men. Then the party fizzled quickly after that. John and Fanny walked toward their room. He asked her what the huddle was about. Fanny explained her observations. “Big Rig cheat?” he laughed, “Why would he cheat NOW? Why would he risk it during a WAGS trip even if Teddy is not here? He knows better than that. He is not an idiot like…..”
“An idiot like who?” Fanny whipped her head around.
Klingberg stopped in his tracks. “Shit” he thought to himself, “I said the quiet part out loud.” This was a topic of conversation that he wanted to avoid at all costs. “Fan,” he spit, “I am just saying that Big Rig is smarter than most of us. He wouldn’t make hook-up plans with the entire team literally in the next room.”
“So you are saying that he would cheat if we weren’t around?” she said as her eyes narrowed, “Are you saying that’s what you would do if I weren’t around?”
“Kärlek,” he soothed, “You know I love you and only you. There is no one else in my heart.” Technically, it wasn’t a lie. He didn’t say there wasn’t anyone else in his bed or on his dick. “Come, let me show you,” He grabbed her hand to lead her, “Maybe we can take a fun video on your phone.”
Fanny stopped suddenly and stuck her hand into her pockets. Her phone wasn’t there. She mentally backtracked until she realized that she must have left it in Big Rig’s room. Klingberg tried to convince her to continue to the room and get the phone later. Fanny insisted on getting it then. She had plans to text her sisters in Sweden with the gossip about Teddy and Lex. Even if none of the other WAGS had taken the bait, she was sure that they would.
Back in Lex’s suite, he sat on the couch nude. His phone was propped up on the entertainment center. Teddy’s green silk nightgown had been thrown down in haste when she had called for their planned video fuck. His hand stroke furiously as he watched Teddy expertly bring herself to her climax with Pinky and her fingers. She screamed out in ecstasy as the third orgasm washed over her. Ever the gentleman, Lex made sure that she reached her peak before he succumbed to his desire.
A series of grunts and moans escaped his mouth as he edged closer. Finally, he exclaimed, “Fuck Kitty Kat. Oh God, you fuck your Tiger so good.” Teddy’s eyes widened and he went silent. It was their unspoken rule that those names were reserved for their kinkier, in person play sessions.
“Uhhhhh, Lex?” she questioned.
“Sorry, Sorry, “ he stammered, “I don’t know what I was thinking.”
“Seems like Tiger is in need of his Kitty Kat,” she said seductively, “You like how Kitty Kat is a good girl for you?”
Lex felt his body respond, “Kitty Kat you know I like everything about you.”
Outside the room, Fanny listened in shock. She had arrived just as Lex had screamed Kitty Kat. Her mind jumped to the most shocking of conclusions. She was RIGHT. He had someone in there with him- some whore named Kitty Kat. She smiled to herself in triumph. “Guess I wasn’t so wrong after all. Was I girls?” she thought to herself. She started to walk away in triumph and in anticipation of the salacious update she was about to provide when she remembered her phone. She would need it to text and call people. She turned and knocked on the door.
Inside the room, Lex stroked himself. It took almost a full minute of knocking for the sound to register in his brain. “Fuck,” he uttered in annoyance, “Kitty Kat, someone is is at the door. I gotta go.”
“Lex Love, at least cover yourself up,” Teddy laughed.
Lex called out, “Hold on. I gotta get dressed.” He went to the bedroom and grabbed his gray sweat pants and shimmied into them. His chest glistened with sweat as he opened the door. He saw Fanny standing there with a look of smug satisfaction. “Hey,” he said, not bothering to hide the annoyance in his voice, “I am kind of in the middle of something.”
“I bet you are,” Fanny muttered under her breath as she glanced down. Lex’s erection was evident under the soft fleece of his pants. Lex’s head tilted, not quite sure he heard her correctly. “I….. ummmm…. left my phone here,” Fanny said plainly.
“Oh,” he stepped back and let her enter. Together they stepped into the room. Teddy, hearing voices, disconnected the FaceTime video. Lex’s eyes glanced at the phone. Fanny followed his eyes then moved onto the couch where Teddy’s green nightgown sat out in the open. Fanny scanned the rest of the living room. No other evidence of a woman stood out to her, but her mind raced with the presence of woman’s lingerie. There was definitely something going on.
“I think it may be in the bathroom. I was in there earlier,” she said as she walked in that direction. Lex stepped back to let her pass. Mentally he cursed both himself and her. He could hear her moving around and he paced back and forth.
In the bathroom, Fanny quickly found her phone. She glanced over to the counter where Lex’s toiletry bag sat. She quickly looked in the direction of the living room while she stepped forward. Two things immediately stood out - a small glass bottle with a label printed in French and a condom. She picked it up and smiled.
Tumblr media
“Did you find it?” Lex called out as calmly as he could. His heart raced although he was unsure of just why. “How much had she heard?” he questioned himself. The chirps about Teddy and his sex life had just about stopped. If Fanny heard anything, they were sure to start up again. Little did he know the wildfire of gossip she was about to unleash within the group.
Fanny’s head popped up, “Yes, but can I pee real quick?” She took out the phone and snapped photos. She turned on the water to “wash” her hands and formulated a plan. Then she placed the items back to their original locations and held her phone in her hand. She moved quickly into the living room, made a beeline for the couch, snapped a photo of the nightgown on the couch and headed toward the door before Lex could process her movements.
“Thanks Big Rig,” Fanny called over her shoulder, “You should get some sleep. It’s a big game tomorrow and you look exhausted.”
He stood in disbelief. She was up to something but he couldn’t tell what. Then he shook his head. “Dude,” he said to himself, “You’re being paranoid and whatnot. She is perfectly innocent.” Still he couldn’t shake the nagging feeling in his chest. He scooped up his phone and went into the bedroom. Teddy picked up his FaceTime call.
Teddy: Did Tiger behave himself?
Lex rolled his eyes: You know that Tiger only comes out for you.
Teddy smiled: Was that Fanny’s voice I heard?
Lex shook his head: She left her phone in the bathroom earlier. She came to get it.
Teddy’s eyes narrowed: What’s wrong, Lex Love?
Lex sighed: It’s nothing. I just got a bad feeling about her.
Teddy: Love, you are probably just picking up my feelings about her. She is the only one that I don’t get along with. Katie and I can’t stand her.
Lex nodded his head. He had overhead the two best friends venting about her in the past. Fanny considered herself to be the de-facto leader of the WAGS because of Klingberg’s tenure and she resisted any suggestion that Katie or Teddy made.
Lex rubbed his face: That may be it. Talk about a mood killer though.
Teddy winked at him: It’s probably a good thing. I have a big day tomorrow so I should get some sleep.
Lex smiled: How many people will be at your session?
Teddy bit her lip: Almost a thousand. Apparently there is a wait list to get in. No pressure or anything.
Lex studied her for a moment before speaking: Get out of your head, Bliss. You are more than prepared. Your speech is amazing and perfectly on brand for you.
Teddy flashed him a smile: Thank you Love. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
November 1st - Jamie Benn’s hotel room
Benn rolled over and sighed, “What in hell is going on? You have been texting all night.”
Katie paused, “You won't believe it if I told you.”
Benn yawned “Try me, honey.”
Katie explained Fanny’s initial assertions. “We all said no way,” she added, “but then she went back and found this.” She handed over her phone to show him the pictures of the perfume bottle, nightgown and the most damning evidence- the condom.
“Shit,” the captain said in disbelief, “That’s unbelievable. Lex has never even looked at another woman since Teddy. What the hell?”
“How do you explain those pictures?” she accused.
“I can't,” he replied softly.
“What do I do?” Katie asked, “I should tell her, right? I would want to know. It's going to break her heart.”
Benn thought for a few minutes, “Make Seggy do it.”
Katie looked up in surprise, “Think he will do it? Isn’t there some sort of bro code?”
“If Teddy is being cheated on, Tyler will squeal like a fucking canary,” Benn laughed. Katie knitted her brows together. He pulled her into his chest. “Seriously, if it were anyone else, Tyler wouldn’t say a word. There is no way that he is going to let Big Rig cheat on her on his watch.
With that, Katie sent a message to the WAGS group chat that excluded Teddy. It was a simple “Stand down. I am going to talk to Seggy about it. I think the news should come from him.” The message was met with mixed replies. Half of the group agreed that Tyler would err on the side of telling Teddy while the other half felt he would not sell out his teammate.
Katie was waiting for Tyler in the hotel lobby when the team arrived back from morning skate. He took one look at her face and joked, “What did I do?” When she didn’t smile or laugh, he got serious, “Tell me.”
Tyler listened incredulously as after the narrative began to become clear. He shook his head vigorously from side to side. “Nope,” he asserted, “No way that Big Rig is cheating on her. Not after everything that they have been through together. No fucking way.” Katie listed off the WAGS group accusations against Big Rig.
When she told him about the perfume scent and saw the picture of the bottle, he emphatically answered, “You are barking up the wrong tree.” When Katie asked how he was so sure, Tyler paused. He had given his word to Big Rig that he would keep his secret. He was not about to cough it now because the WAGS had gotten a bee in their collective bonnets.
He similarly dismissed what Fanny overheard. He knew from past conversations with Teddy that they indulged in smutty phone and video calls. Okay, she had never deliberately told him about the calls but Tipsy Teddy let it slip out once in a rush to get Tyler off the phone so she could speak to Big Rig. Again, he wasn’t about to reveal that information, but it convinced him that Fanny had not overheard anything of consequence. He did make a mental note to ask Teddy about the “Kitty Kat” nickname.
However, when she showed him the photo of the condom, he went silent for a moment. Why would Big Rig have a condom in his toiletry bag? Katie sensed his hesitation and pounced. She raised the same question he had just asked himself. Suddenly, the most obvious answer emerged - the condom must be leftover from before they got together. Katie looked dubious.
“Yeah, remember she got upset with him because he had condoms in his bag in the limbo era between his move to Pittsburgh and them getting together, “ Tyler announced, suddenly proud that he came up with a reasonable excuse.
Katie sighed. She wanted to believe the best, but she still had questions.
Tyler stood his ground. “Come on Katie,” Tyler urged, “You know him.” Katie looked at the ground. “Hey, look at me, can I tell you something?” Tyler said softly. She looked up with hopeful eyes.
“You know that it was complicated between Teddy and me. I have a lot of ‘what could have beens’ that linger in my mind,” Tyler spoke from the heart. “I’ve accepted that Teddy and I are best friends. That’s our destiny,” he said as he swallowed. “However, I am still human. Don’t you think if I had the opportunity for a do-ever I would take it? This would be the perfect opportunity, Katie.” She studied his face that was suddenly soft with emotion.
“But I can’t because it’s not the truth. You know and I know it,” he said with an unreadable tone, “We have to shut this shit down. It’s only going to hurt Teddy and she doesn’t deserve that.”
With that, she was convinced. “I’ll do my best to shut it down.”
“Tell them to come see me if they have doubts,” he urged, “Trust me Katie. I know that he isn’t cheating on her.” They went their separate ways. Tyler looked at his phone. It was almost time for Teddy’s presentation. He sent her a quick good luck text. She responded with a thumbs up emoji.
LATER THAT NIGHT DURING THE GAME
Teddy pulled out her phone as she settled into her hotel room for the night. She pulled out her phone and did a double-take. She had 5 missed calls from Fanny along with a text that read “Please call - URGENT”. Teddy’s mind instantly went to Lex. Did something happen with him? Were they trying to get a hold of her? She mentally cursed herself for not turning on her phone sooner. Her heart began to race and she reached for the TV remote. She found the game as quickly as she could. It should be toward the end of the game. Visually she scanned the ice for his large form. He was not out there.
She cussed as she pulled up Google. Nothing new popped up when she searched his name. The broadcast finally did a shot of the bench. There was Tyler, but no Lex.
“Think,” she commanded herself, “Who would know?” She smiled and dialed Katie’s phone number. It went straight to voicemail. She decided to text instead.
Teddy: Hey, is Lex okay?
She saw Katie replying immediately.
Katie: Yes, as far as I know. I think there was an issue with his skate.
On cue, Lex emerged from the tunnel and took another shift.
Katie: Why do you ask?
Teddy exhaled and smiled to herself: Oh, it’s nothing I guess. Fanny has been blowing up my phone. I thought maybe Lex got hurt.
Katie inhaled deeply. “Shit” she thought to herself, “I thought we nipped it in the bud.” If Fanny was reaching out, the genie was about to explode out of the bottle.
Katie: Definitely not hurt. If I were you, I would get some rest and deal with Fanny tomorrow after we all get back to Dallas.
Teddy yawned: As long as Lex is okay, you don’t have to tell me twice to ignore her.
Katie hated lying by omission to her friend, but she didn’t know what else to say.
Immediately following the game, Katie made a beeline to the Stars locker room. Via text she ordered that Benn send Tyler and Big Rig out to see her immediately. Katie paced back and forth in the training room. Shit was about to get bad and about to get bad quickly.
“Yo Rig and Seggy- Katie wants to see you right away,” Benn commanded. They tried to argue with Benn about making Katie wait until they showered. It was a firm “My woman wants to see the both of you NOW for some reason. I am not going to question it. Get your asses out there so I don’t have to deal with her drama.”
Seggy and Lex walked out of the room, half undressed from the game.
Katie: We have a problem. A big Fanny problem
Lex looked at Katie in confusion. Then he looked at Tyler who seemed to understand what she said perfectly.
Tyler: How do you know?
Katie: She is blowing up Teddy’s phone.
Lex: Blowing her phone about what?
Katie narrowed her eyes: About your extracurricular activities
Lex: My what? What extracurricular activities?
Katie: Don’t play dumb with me.
Tyler interjected: Hey, we’ve already gone over this. Riggy is innocent.
Lex screamed: Innocent of what?
Katie: Of fucking around on Teddy.
Lex gasped in horror.
Lex: Why? Why would anyone think that? What does Fanny have to do with this?
Katie: She heard you. She heard you making plans last night and then all sudden we all had to leave your room.
Lex: Teddy was having a crisis. You heard her on the phone.
Katie: Oh yeah? Who’s perfume do you have in your bathroom?
Lex looked at Tyler who threw his hands up in surrender.
Tyler: It didn’t come from me, dude.
Lex: Who did it come from?
His mouth dropped when he started to put together the pieces. Fanny was in his bathroom. He must have left the perfume bottle out.
Katie continued: So you don’t deny that there is a woman’s perfume in your hotel room. Wait, you knew about the perfume, Seggy?
Tyler protested: I am not saying anything. I just know that Rig is not a cheater.
Lex’s mind raced. “Think, think, think,” he screamed internally. He considered the option he had at the moment. To tell the truth and become the laughing stock of the locker room again OR say nothing and let people think that he had been unfaithful. Neither seemed particularly appealing. He cursed his impulse decision two years ago.
Katie prodded, grabbing his attention: Why do you have women’s lingerie?
Lex looked to Tyler for help and was met with a shrug:
Lex: Ummmm, it isn’t what you think?
Katie pushed on: “Why do you have a condom??
Lex’s hands went to his head.
Lex: There is an explanation, I swear.
His voice got soft and low.
Lex: Do you honestly think that I would cheat on Bliss? After everything? Do you think I would be that stupid?
Katie sighed: That’s why I am so confused, Rig. I wouldn’t believe it but Fanny has pictures.
Tyler whistled lowly and examined Big Rig’s face. He was trying to hide the panic but it was evident.
Tyler: “Let’s focus on the immediate problem- Fanny”
Katie and Lex turned to him.
Tyler: You spoke to Teddy?
Katie: Yes, I told her to get rest and ignore Fanny.
Tyler turned to Lex: You have to tell her, dude. You have to tell her before Fanny gets to her.
Lex balked: And tell her what? That there is a rumor that I am cheating on her going through the WAGS? Seggy, you know that will be a complete mind fuck for her.
Tyler stepped up: Now, what will be a mind fuck is if she hears it from Fanny without any warning. You have to man up and tell her.
Lex turned to Katie: You are certain that Teddy won’t reach out to Fanny until tomorrow?
Katie: That’s what I told her to do.
Lex sighed: Fine, I will tell her before Fanny gets to her.
Tyler warned Lex: Just come clean. This is getting out and it will be worse if it doesn't come from you.
Sitting in the bus at the private airfield, Lex looked down at his phone and tried to will himself to hit the call button. He knew what he needed to do but his stupid pride stood in his way. He had no idea how he would explain what a complicated scenario that began with his innocent desire to feel closer to her. His thoughts were interrupted with an incoming call from Teddy.
Lex: Hey Bliss
Teddy: Hey Love. Are you okay?
Lex: Yes, why wouldn’t I be?
Teddy: You didn’t call me after the game
Lex: Oh, I forgot.
Teddy blinked: You forgot to call me?
In the two years that she had known Lex, she could count on two things - that he would text when he landed anywhere he traveled and that he would call within an hour after every road game. You could set your clock by it.
Lex hemmed: Yeah, sorry about that.
Teddy blinked: Is everything okay Lex?
Lex studied her face. He could see the anxiety creeping into her features.
Lex: Yes, everything is fine Bliss. I promise. Are you okay?
Teddy shook the negative thoughts out of her mind: I am good. I am glad to have my talk over. I have just been relaxing and ignoring Fanny.
Lex felt a knot in the pit of his stomach. He struggled to his voice neutral: Fanny? What about Fanny?
Teddy: She has been blowing up my phone. I have no idea why. I am ignoring until I get back to Dallas.
Lex breathed an internal sigh of relief.: Okay, sounds like a plan.
He studied her face and tried to work up the courage to tell her the truth. He longed to hold her as he made his confession. It would be better to do it in person, he told himself. “Yes,” he said to himself and smiled, “It will be better to do it in person.” They would be together tomorrow afternoon. The team would arrive back in Dallas in a few hours, but it would be afternoon before he saw her. Her flight from California would not arrive until after he left for practice. In the end, his fear won out and he didn't say anything.
Teddy: Are you sure you are okay? You seem off tonight.
Lex: Yes, just tired and missing you.
Teddy: Okay. Go get on the plane. See you tomorrow.
November 2nd - Lex and Teddy's apartment
Lex held the large bouquet of flowers in one hand and pressed the up button in the garage elevator. He was looking forward to their upcoming move into a house. He was tired of apartment life and parking garages. He was lost in thought when the elevator dinged. He walked in as a small blonde stormed past him, muttering under her breath in a language that sounded vaguely familiar. Her shoulder bounced off his elbow. He turned to apologize but the woman kept walking. His eyes squinted in disbelief. “Is that?” he questioned himself, “No, it can be. What are the odds?”
He pressed the button for their upper level apartment. Then he used the electronic key fob to open the door. “Bliss?” he called as he entered the apartment, “Are you home?”
“Yes,” she called from the ensuite bathroom, “just unpacking. Hold on.”
He walked into the kitchen and started to put the flowers into her favorite vase.
“Lucy, you got some ‘splaining to do,” Teddy shouted as she walked into the room. She was putting her hair into a messy bun with a fake scowl on her face.
Lex’s head popped. “I what?”
She continued into the kitchen. “You know ‘splaining like Ricky would say to Lucy in ‘I Love Lucy’ when she would do something crazy.”
“Crazy?” Lex's voice rose an octave, “I haven’t done anything crazy.”
“Are you sure about that?” Teddy walked closer, “I had a little visit with Fanny. She was waiting for me when I got home.”
His voice rose even higher, “Waiting for you? Why? Why would she be waiting for you?”
Teddy looked him straight in the eye, “Something about a perfume bottle and some lingerie?”
Lex gulped and felt the bottom fall out of his stomach. He felt the sweat instantly forming in his armpits and forehead. “Fanny told her. Fanny got to her first. Now Bliss thinks I cheated on her,” he thought to himself. The words swarmed around in his brain.
“Bliss, you can’t believe her,” he stammered, “I don’t know why she is saying it, but I am not cheating on you. I swear to God. You gotta believe me.”
Teddy tilted her head, “Wait, you knew what she told me? How did you know?”
“Katie and Seggy told me last night,” he answered.
“And you think I heard what she said and believed that you are cheating on me?” Teddy laughed and crossed over to him.
Lex blinked slowly. “What did she say?” he said softly, cursing himself for being a coward the night before.
“Well…..” Teddy replied as she took his hand and led him to the couch.
THIRTY MINUTES EARLIER
Teddy glanced at her phone as she waited for the garage elevator. There was yet another text message from Fanny.
Tumblr media
Fuck,” Teddy groaned as walked off the elevator. The Swedish blonde clad in head to toe Lululemon leaned against the wall outside of their front door. Teddy tried to think of how Fanny even knew the address when she remembered hosting a watch party during the playoffs last season. She cursed her mother for giving her the spirit of hospitality.
Fanny turned around slowly and crossed her arms, “You are a hard person to track down.”
Teddy paused for a moment. Fanny’s tone of voice was aggressive and shrill. She decided to go with a conciliatory tone rather than the snarky tone that felt much more natural.
“I am sorry,” Teddy began to explain as she opened the apartment door, “I was worn out from my speech at the conference. I was all “peopled” out which is why I have been radio silent. What’s up?” She added as much cheer as she could muster to the question.
“I wanted to tell you face to face,” Fanny said with a little too much joy in her voice.
“Tell me what face to face?” Teddy questioned as she placed her suitcase and carry-on by the door. She walked over to the cabinet to get a glass. She filled her glass with ice cold water and turned to face Fanny. She move her hand in a “speed it up” motion.
“Big Rig is cheating on you,” Fanny declared emphatically.
Teddy stood perfectly still but her grip on her glass slightly. It came crashing down onto the kitchen tile. She looked down and then back up at Fanny. “I’m sorry,” she questioned, “What did you say?”
“I said that Big Rig is cheating on you,” Fanny answered.
“With another woman?” Teddy choked out.
“Do you suspect a man?” Fanny asked incredulously.
The very thought of Lex being with a man sent Teddy into a fit of giggles. She tried to imagine his “type” and what his preferred activities might be. She doubled over in laughter, much to Fanny’s chagrin. “I’m sorry,” Teddy replied between laughs, tears streaming down her face. “I don’t know which is funnier,” she continued, “The thought of Lex cheating on me with another woman or the idea of him cheating on me with a man.”
“I am being serious, Teddy,” Fanny exclaimed.
“Oh, I am sure that you are,” Teddy tried to compose herself, “but seriously- Lex cheating?”
Fanny stood upright and crossed her arms, “Do you think I am just fucking with you?” she uttered softly. Her concern almost seemed genuine.
“Okay, I will listen to you,” Teddy conceded, “Why do you think Lex is cheating on me? When exactly was this?”
“It was Halloween night,” the Swede began, “Well, first thing - I smelled a woman’s perfume in his hotel bedroom,”
Teddy’s eyebrow raised, “There is more?”
“You need more?” Fanny countered.
“No, but you said the first thing which implies more,” Teddy replied, “Do you want to respond to each point or wait until the end?”
“Wait until the end I guess,” Fanny said with annoyance.
“So there is the scent and what else?” Teddy prodded.
“Then I heard him make plans on the phone for ‘later’," she continued. Teddy thought of the night in question. She remembered their phone call being interrupted by Fanny needing to use the restroom.
“Go on,” Teddy responded neutrally.
“Then before the movie was even finished, he rushed everyone out of the room,” Fanny continued. “I bet he couldn’t wait to get the little tart into the room.”
Teddy raised an eyebrow, “Tart huh? What are you seventy now?”
Fanny glared but went on, “About an hour later I realized that I left my phone in his room. I went back to get it and it took him FOREVER to answer the door. When he did, it was clear that I had interrupted something.”
“Clear in what way?” Teddy questioned.
“You know,” Fanny whispered as her cheeks flushed.
“Obviously I don’t know which is why I am asking,” Teddy replied even though she had the mental image in her mind.
“First he was covered in sweat and he had,” Fanny looked down and then back up, “He had…..” Teddy willed herself not to laugh when Fanny finally blurted out, “a HARD on”. The picture of one of the many reasons that Oleksiak was called Big Rig flashed before her eyes and the blonde’s heart began to race.
“So he had an erection,” Teddy repeated back. Secretly, she was enjoying watching Fanny squirm even if she was losing patience with the drip-drop method of disclosure Fanny used.
“While I was walking into the bathroom, I saw a green silk nightgown on the couch,” she said with authority. “Big Rig tried to push it under the cushion, but I saw it.” That bit of information got Teddy’s attention and Fanny seized on it.
“Then I went into the bathroom and saw the bottle - sitting right there in the open,” Fanny said breathlessly, “And……” She paused for dramatic effect, “I saw the condom.”
Against her better judgment, Teddy inhaled sharply. It was the first and second bits of information that she didn’t have an obvious explanation for. It wasn’t that she doubted Lex’s fidelity yet, but she was puzzled.
“Is that it?” Teddy finally asked.
“Isn’t that enough?” Fanny challenged.
“I just wanted to be sure that you were done,” Teddy spoke slowly as her mind raced to explain a perfume bottle in Lex’s room. She asked herself if it was possible that one of her bottles may have been inadvertently left in his toiletry bag during a trip. She immediately nixed the thought because she wasn’t missing any perfume. Well, not since her custom-made fragrance from Frankie had gone missing, but that happened before Lex and her had ever traveled together.
Then her mind went to the nightgown. “Think,” she thought to herself, “there is a reasonable answer for this.” Suddenly an idea popped in her head and she grasped onto it. It was a gift. Lex must have gotten her a gift while traveling. She breathed a sigh of relief. She looked up and saw Fanny staring at her with an expression on her face that bordered on smug. Although her mind was racing, there was one thing she was sure of and that was that there was no possible way Lex was cheating on her. It was just about the only fact in her life that she had the utmost confidence in - Lex’s unwavering love and fidelity.
Teddy smiled, “I appreciate your concern, but Lex isn’t cheating on me. I know it for a fact.”
Fanny’s face dropped. This was not the reaction she had envisioned. She scrambled, “Wait, I forgot to tell you. I know what he called the trollop.” Fanny apparently had zoned in all of the synonyms for slut while studying English. Teddy smiled and Fanny continued, “He called her Kitty Kat.”
Teddy smiled again, “I still don’t think he is cheating.”
“But…. but ….. But….. I have proof. I took pictures,” Fanny stuttered.
Teddy stopped in her tracks, “Show them to me.”
Fanny handed over her phone and Teddy studied the pictures. First the condom. Teddy recognized it immediately. She had put it in his Christmas stocking as a joke.
She remembered his loud groan as he pulled it out in front of their families. “Bliss- I am not living that one mistake down, am I?”
“Lex Love, you have made so few mistakes in this relationship compared to me. Let me have this one thing” she smiled mischievously, “Just promise that it doesn’t get used.”
He almost had the inappropriate retort out of his mouth before remembering their audience, “I promise”.
Next was the green nightgown. “Why does that look familiar?” she thought to herself. “I used to have one similar….” she thought, “but I haven’t seen it since the night that Lex went to Pittsburgh.” Her mind reassured her that she must have mentioned the missing nightgown in passing and he bought her one to replace it. There was no way that it could be HER nightgown.
Then she scrolled to the next picture. She audibly gasped and zoomed in. “Is that?” she questioned, “No, it can’t be.” There it was, sitting right next to Lex’s toiletry bag- her custom perfume from France. It wasn’t just any random perfume of some trollop. It was HER perfume. She started laughing. She wasn’t sure if it was from relief that she had proof that all of Fanny’s suspicions about Lex cheating led back to her or relief that she hadn’t actually lost one of the last tangible reminders she had of her sister. Whatever it was, she was filled with joy.
“I am the jezebel,” she said out loud without thinking.
“You are the what?” Fanny asked.
“I am the jezebel,” Teddy repeated and smiled.
“What you talking about?” Fanny exclaimed.
“You heard him on the phone making plans for later than night?” Teddy began her point by point “defense”. “He was talking to me. He was lonely so we made plans for phone sex later that night.” Internally Teddy winced. Lex would be mortified to know that she was speaking so freely about the intimacy, but she was sure that he would be even MORE mortified that people were under the impression that he was being unfaithful.
“Was the scent that you smelled woody and spicy with hints of amber?” Teddy began her next point. Teddy crossed her arms, “That’s my perfume. It is a custom made perfume - the only one like it in the world.” Teddy winced at the small lie. It was close enough to one of a kind for Fanny’s purposes.
“What was next?” Teddy went on. “Oh yeah, the rush to get you out of the room?” Teddy checked off her mental list, “Lex texted an SOS and I obliged with a fake panic attack. It worked like a charm.”
Fanny began to back away from Teddy. No, this was definitely not the way she thought this was going to go.
“Then you very rudely interrupted us because you left your phone like a dumbass,” Teddy stepped toward. She had begun to feel the anger form in the pit of her stomach. She wasn’t sure where it was coming but it fueled her.
“But, but, but…..” Fanny tried to regain the upper hand, “It’s all the tell tale signs of a cheater.”
Teddy stepped up to her, “That may well be true, but you forgot three things.”
“What’s that?” Fanny spouted off.
“One- Lex is not a cheater. It’s not in his DNA,” Teddy said as a matter of fact, “He would break up with me before cheated on me.”
“Two,” she added, “He would have to be a special kind of stupid to cheat on me with my two best friends in the same hotel as well as a gaggle of WAGS apparently watching him like a hawk. Or was that just you?”
Fanny scoffed, “and what is three?”
Teddy laughed, “Well….”
Later, Lex sat on one end of the couch while Teddy sat on the other end. She sat cross legged, her body turned to face him. Lex was covered with sweat and his heart raced as Teddy told him the details of her confrontation. He could not make himself look at his beloved redhead.
“Lex?” she questioned, “Lex, are you hearing me?”
He simply nodded his head up and down.
“Lex Love,” she said softly as she began to crawl towards him, “Lex, look at me.”
“I…. I …..I can’t,” he whispered, “I can’t look at your face after what I’ve done.”
“What have you done?” she whispered back as she reached him. She placed a gentle kiss on his shoulder.
“People think I cheated on you Bliss. They have been gossiping about us,” he whispered.
“Lex Love,” she said more firmly, “Look at me.”
He brought his tear filled eyes to her face. He was expecting to be met with a look of hurt or disappointment, even anger. Instead, she looked at him with eyes sparkling with love.
“Do you think that I believe her? Do you think I believe that you would ever be unfaithful to me?” she pressed her hand to his cheek. “After everything that we have been through, you think I don’t trust you completely?”
“You don’t believe her?” he whispered, praying that he was hearing her words correctly.
“Fuck no, I don’t believe her,” Teddy smiled, “You would never cheat on me.”
“I never would, Bliss,” he placed his large hands on either side of her face and pulled her close so that their foreheads touched. “I would never want another woman. You are the one for me,” he said. His voice was low and filled with relief. “I can’t believe that she actually went to you. I am such an idiot,” he sighed.
“You’re not an idiot,” Teddy kissed him gently, “Remember we are whatever it takes, no matter what.” He grabbed her and pulled her onto his lap. His arms wrapped around her and squeezed her tight. She could feel the slight tremble as he held her. She nuzzled her face into his neck and soothed, “Lex Love, it’s okay. It’s okay. I am not going anywhere, but I do have questions.”
“Give me a minute,” he sighed.
“Take all the time you need,” she murmured as she pressed her lips into his neck. They sat together for a few minutes before he gave her the signal that he was ready. She sat up straight and rubbed her thumb across his forehead.
“So is that my green nightgown she saw in your room?” she questioned as she looked into his eyes. He nodded affirmatively. “Did you take it from my apartment before you left for PIttsburgh?” she asked.
Lex leaned his head back and gathered up the courage. “Not deliberately, but I was happy when I found it shoved in my bag. The scarf had lost its Bliss scent so I was happy to have a replacement.
“The scarf?” Teddy replied in surprise, “My scarf? The blue one?”
He blushed, “Yes, that was my first acquisition. It was an accident- I swear. Both of them were accidents.”
“And you acquired these things why?” she prodded.
“They smelled like you.” he choked out, “They smelled like you and if I had them, I could smell you on the road.”
“You wanted to smell me?” her brows furrowed together, “Why?”
“I kept the things so I could smell you and not miss you,” he looked down.
Teddy lifted his face with her finger so that she could look him in the eye. “You missed me? Even way back then?” she questioned, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Why didn’t I tell you that I kept your things like some sort of freak with a scent fetish?,” he smiled tentatively, “Why didn’t I tell you that I was crazy about you even then?
Then his face fell again. “I was so crazy that I stole your perfume. I stole your Frankie perfume,” He looked up to judge her reaction. Her face was calm and serene. “I swear I didn’t know that it was your Frankie perfume then. I would have never taken it.” He sighed, “I wouldn’t have taken it if I knew it was your last thing from Frankie.”
“Well, it’s a good thing that it’s not actually lost then, eh?” Teddy laughed as she exaggerated the eh for his benefit.
“You are not mad?” he asked in surprise.
“When did you find out about all of the Fanny shenanigans?” Teddy asked, suddenly serious.
“Ummmm, yesterday - after the game,” Lex answered without thinking.
“What I am not thrilled with is that you knew something was going on last night and chose not to tell me, “she started. He went to interject but she held up a finger to stop him. “I don’t want to make it a bigger deal than it is because we got lucky. Fanny caught me on a good anxiety day where I could think clearly. This could have gone south really quickly and that would have sucked.” She stared into his eyes for a moment. “No matter what, whatever it takes includes the sucky conversations or what you THINK will be the sucky conversations.”
“I thought you would be upset,” he said finally.
“Then let me be upset rather than ambushed in my own apartment,” she countered.
He nodded in understanding. “Bliss, I am really sorry,” he pleaded, “I just didn’t know how to tell you after Seggy told me about the perfume.”
“Tyler knew about the perfume?” Teddy gasped, “For how long?”
“I don’t know- a couple of weeks,” Lex answered.
“Did he know about Fannygate?” Teddy asked.
Lex nodded his head in affirmation. “For the record, he told me to come clean to you. I didn’t listen and it turns out that he was right,” Lex explained, “Dammnit, don’t tell him that he was right. He will never let me live it down.”
“So what lessons we have learned from this?” Teddy questioned.
Lex sighed, “To have the hard conversations.”
Teddy leaned forward and kissed his neck, “and what else?”
“Fanny is a busybody,” he smiled.
“And what else?” she spread her legs and straddled his massive thighs.
“I don’t know. Tell me,” he murmured, “I am a little distracted.”
“Tyler is still a really good friend to you and you give him too much grief,” she resumed her nibbling on his neck.
“True,” he moaned softly, “Anything else.”
“Yes, ask next time you need something instead of taking it. I would have given you my other perfume. You know, the cheaper one,” she remarked.
“Yeah, but that’s not the special perfume,” he said as his hands grabbed her ass and pulled her into him.
“Special perfume?” she asked,
“Yes, the one that you wore when we first kissed,” he kissed languidly. “You also wore the first night that we…….”
“Fucked?” she finished for him, “Lex, you may be the sweetest man to ever exist.”
“You are really not mad?” he lifted her off the couch and started carrying her to the bedroom
“No, I am not mad,” she kissed him passionately. “Now, my dad on the other hand,” she grinned, “He is going to want to have a word with you when I tell him about the wild goose chase you sent him on.”
“Please don’t,” he pleaded with her as he set her on the bed and climbed on top of her body.
“I think I could be convinced to keep your secret,” she moaned, “If given the proper motivation.”
“All my love and devotion?” he grinned as he pushed her top and his mouth made contact her nipple.
“Do that thing with your mouth too,” she purred, “I’ll take that along with your lover and devotion.”
“You got it, Bliss….. You got it.”

Hi love!!! Hope you're doing well, I was wonder if you could do Brandon Tanev taking care of the reader after they get injured, I just healed from a sprained ankle and it would have been nice to have someone like him. Also serious lack of content for him. :)
NURSE TANEV
okay, i'm so freaking sorry! this has been sitting in my inbox for probably a year, maybe more maybe less. so long, i don't even remember which celly this was for. and i do agree, there is not enough content for mr. ghostman haha
another note: requests are closed! please don't send anything in. if someone does, i will deactivate my account istg
tw: injuries (sprained ankle)
"call if you need anything." your mom spoke through the phone.
"i will, but i don't think i'll need to. nurse tanev has yet to leave my side since we left the hospital." you looked over at him, to which he only shrugged innocently.
"good. i'm glad you have him."
"thanks, mom. it was so nice talking to you." you sighed.
"all right, bye-bye, now."
"bye." you hung up and flung your phone across the room.
"i'm so glad you and your mother have such a wonderful relationship." brandon joked as he pushed himself off the couch. he kissed your head as he made his way toward the kitchen.
"i know." you flashed him a sarcastic smile. you loved her, you did. but could be a little overbearing at times.
he came back over to the couch, where your food was propped up on the coffee table on top of a pillow, with a bag of ice. he carefully placed it on your ankle.
"there anything else i can get you?" he asked.
you smiled, "i'm okay. you can calm down a little, and watch the rest of this movie with me."
"i can do that." he nodded, walking around the coffee table so as to not disturb your ankle, and sat down next to you.
you grabbed the remote and hit play, leaning your head on his shoulder as the movie continued. later that night, after begging brandon to go out for dinner because you "didn't have any food in your home", you were finally going out.
you used the crutches to get down to the parking garage. still, when it was finally time to get into the car, you looked over at brandon, "do you need help?" you nodded, "all right." he set the crutches aside before picking you up as carefully as possible and sat you in the passenger seat.
"thank you." you smiled sweetly as he put on your seatbelt and kissed his cheek.
"you're welcome." he smiled before going to the driver's side.
requests are closed my loves <3

Work wife
A Vince Dunn blurb for @cellythefloshie. This is not in any way related to Fuck me like I’m famous. This is just a fun blurb we talked about brought to life.
Warnings: Sex, cheating
Tumblr media
“There’s my work wife.”
You half turned to find Vince coming down the hallway smiling at you.
Working for the Kraken was a dream come true really.
You couldn’t actually ask for a better job, or better environment to be in. It was a tight knit group full of great people who worked hard, and got along well.
And then there was Vince.
You two had clicked from the beginning. He was easy to talk to, and you liked him a lot. The more time you spent together, the more you got to know him and the more comfortable you became with him.
Maybe too comfortable.
Which is how you wound up screaming his name one night after drinks, after the flirtation between you guys had finally boiled over and spilled into his apartment. It had been extremely awkward when you saw him on Monday, but when he caught you in the parking garage and asked to talk, you’d agreed. And that’s how it all started. Secret meetups, sneaking around, and even texts from a fake phone number, your assistant “Jessica”, to keep things under wraps. It felt both wrong, and exciting, but you just couldn’t stop. While it had started as a secret hookup, it hadn’t stayed that way. There was genuine feelings there now.
The term “work wife” had started as a joke, thrown out by a coworker of yours, who obviously had no clue what was happening behind closed doors, but it stuck. There was really only one problem with it.
You were someone’s real life wife.
The idea of Vince made your husband clearly uncomfortable in the beginning, before anything was actually going on, but there wasn’t really anything you could do about it, and you didn’t really want to either. Your husband was a good guy, but being around Vince made you realize you really didn’t have a thing in common. He was 8 years older than you, and you had married young, feeling the pressure from your family to marry someone who was financially stable. You “loved” him, but you weren’t really “In love” with him, at least not anymore. Not that you were in love with Vince either, but your feelings for him had drowned out the feelings for your husband. And beyond that, you had suspicions that he was embroiled in his own case of infidelity.
You felt really bad at first, but then he started staying late, random business trips with no warning, and you’d even found a receipt for purchased jewelry that you hadn’t received just last month. He often smelled of perfume and the lipstick you’d found on the inside of one of his shirts was a color you’d never worn. You hadn’t confronted him because you just didn’t care, and truly you had no room to talk.
It was a rock and a hard place situation that you’d landed yourself in, but the thrill of it all overrode the anxiety of being found out.
Not only would you lose your job, your respect in the work place, and your marriage, but it would also put a black mark on your career moving forward and make Vince look bad, none of which you wanted.
He made his way past you and winked, but then paused at the end of the hallway, just below a camera so he couldn’t be seen, and motioned for you to check your phone. You absently pulled out your phone, turning away from him so it looked like you just happened to get a message.
Meet me in the room.
“The room” as he called it was a vacant room in the basement of the arena that was used mostly for storage, and sat in the middle of a hallway that was void of cameras. It wasn’t ideal, but sometimes there was no other choice. There was few places you could go with him that he wasn’t recognized here, so you were limited to the room, his apartment and your place only if your husband was on a business trip out of state and even then it was risky.
You took the long way, careful not to rush, giving small glances here and there to make sure that no one was following you, and slipped into the hallway that your office was located, which conveniently also led the the hallway he was waiting for you in.
You made you way down the corridor, a set of stairs and then down to the vacant room. He was leaned against the wall, eyes moving up your bare legs and you neared him.
“Hi wifey.” He said smiling cheekily as he held the door open for you, allowing you to step inside before following you in. You gave a little shudder as the room grew dark when the door closed and you felt his hands on your waist.
“You look nice today.” He said in your ear, turning you to face him. Goddamnit he was gorgeous, even more up close. In curiosity you had done a google search of him right after you’d started working there and saw that everyone else thought that too, not to your surprise, but you were lucky enough to see all his body parts up close and personal and you felt bad for the people who didn’t get to.
“You say that to me everyday.” You ran a hand up his arm as he reached forward to press his lips against your neck.
“Well then I guess it’s true.” He said softly, hand gripping your chin as he pulled his mouth off your neck and caught your lips a very hot, wet kiss.
You felt a heat start to spread in your stomach as he backed you up against a table, tongue pushing in your mouth, cutting off your air. The way he moved his tongue against yours made your heart race, fingers gripping at your blouse, which was tucked into a pencil skirt, and pulling it loose so he could unbutton it, and hoisted you up to sit on the edge of the table. His hands, slightly rough against your skin as he reached the bottom button and ran his hands up your waist, pausing at your bra and pulling away from you.
“Is this new?” He asked breathlessly gesturing at your bra.
You nodded and watched as he reached a hand forward and ran a finger across your collarbone, down your chest to your sternum, hooking a finger in the front band and running it along your ribs.
“I bought it just for you. It matches these.” You gestured down and inched your skirt up to reveal black underwear. He smiled slowly eyes staying on them for a second before they moved back up to yours and he smiled.
“Can’t wait to take them off.” He reached down hooking a thumb on either side of them and gave them a tug, pulling them down your legs, hand coming back up your legs to pull one up underneath your knee, and to spread the other one wider, leaning you back as he eased himself into you.
Your head fell back, hair spilling off your shoulders as he pulled out and pushed back in. You felt a hand on the back of your neck as Vince pulled you up to kiss him, pushing in and out finding a rhythm. You caught his lip between your teeth, and he gave your hair a small tug, goosebumps erupting across your skin. It truly never got old feeling him inside you and his hands all over you. He brought you to highs you’d never been at before and each time was better than the one before.
He angled his hips upward and hit a spot you didn’t know existed and you cried out, biting down on your lip to stop from making too much noise. A curl at the front of his hair fell across his forehead as he picked up his pace. Your lower back was screaming in pain as it hit repeatedly on the table and you felt your legs begin to tighten and heat explode in your stomach as a crippling orgasm swept from your lower half to your upper half, Vince’s lips at your neck as it shuddered through your body and your vision went spotty. You gave a shaky breath as he slowed his pushes and let his head fall forward, breath hot on your neck. After a moment he picked his head up to look at you.
“You’re amazing.”
You blushed and pushed the curl off his forehead, as he helped you down and handed you your underwear. You gingerly pulled them back up, and took several deep breaths attempting to cool yourself down.
“What are you doing tonight?” He asked reaching a hand out to intertwine his fingers with yours “Come over after work for a little bit. What time does he get home?”
“6:30. I guess I could for a little bit.”
“Great.” He smiled widely and gave you one last short and sweet kiss before he left the room, making his way back to wherever he was planning to go and you made your way to your office, now tasked with spending the next three hours at your desk having to think about him, and what you would be getting into with him later on.
You sometimes wondered if keeping this thing you had going with him was for the worst rather than the better. How bad would it hurt to rip off the bandaid when it inevitably went south, or had to end due to whatever reasons. And what would happen if he met someone else?
Would you be cast aside? Replaced? A side piece?
You couldn’t handle that. And it wouldn’t be fair, which you knew because it wasn’t fair to him that he was currently a side piece. He didn’t seem bothered, or he was a great actor because he never spoke up about it when you asked and even managed to crack a joke about it here and there for your benefit. But it still wasn’t right. And it wouldn’t be right to drag this out knowing he should have the right to go out and meet girls without having to wonder what would happen with you and him.
You got so absorbed thinking about it, you lost track of time and nearly ended up staying past your clock out time, rushing to get out of the arena and over to Vince’s. He greeted you with his usual “wifey” at the door and pulled you inside.
After your second romp of the day, your breath evened out, you checked your phone and sighed. You pursed your lips and glanced at him.
He shook his head “Don’t say it-“
“Time to go.” you said quietly, sitting upright and grabbing your bra and blouse. You heard him sigh behind you and lean back against the headboard. It was quiet for a while as you hooked the clasp, and pulled the blouse over your shoulders. You hated this part. The afterglow wasn’t even over and you had to leave, go home and play housewife to someone you barely even had conversation with day to day. You’d not been intimate with each other in over a year, since you’d started working for the Kraken, because you were both getting it somewhere else. It felt silly to continue to live a lie.
“I think you should leave your husband.” Vince said off handedly from behind you.
You paused and turned slowly “What?” You said eyes moving up to meet his as you buttoned your blouse.
“You heard me.” He said from his spot on the bed “I said I want you to leave your husband.” He was looking at you straight faced, serious and not joking. He’d made lots of “leave your husband” jokes over the last few months, but he wasn’t kidding this time.
You gaped at him “I-Why?”
“Please.” He rolled his eyes “I think it’s pretty self explanatory. I mean if you really loved him would you even be here?” He gestured around.
He wasn’t wrong. You’d been going over this in your head for months, and you’d come to the conclusion that your husband just wasn’t it.
“Even if I would….Id have to quit for this to go any further.”
Vince pursed his lips “I mean. I can’t ask you to do that, but I do know that you should leave him. And I think you know that too.” He added quietly “I mean even without me in the picture, it wouldn’t be any different.”
He was right.
Part of why you took the job with the Kraken was to fill your time and pull yourself out of being a housewife and hanging out with all his business buddies perfect wives. Working with the Kraken gave you the freedom to do your own thing and be whoever you wanted to be, rather than locked up in that condo.
You nodded “Your right. But what about my job? I can’t be with you and work here.”
“Let’s worry about that another time. I can help you with this.” He reached forward and gripped your hand “I just really want you to be happy.”
You were quiet for a minute, eyes focused on the bedsheet as you realized this could be your one chance to get out of the mess you were in. Your one opportunity to truly change the direction of your life. Maybe things never went forward with Vince, but maybe they did. Even if they didn’t, he had given you the confidence to make changes and leave a guy you didn’t even love, and for that you would always be thankful.
“Well?” He asked after a few moments of silence.
You looked up and took a deep breath “Do you promise? To help me?”
He nodded eyes lighting up “Yes. So are we really doing this?” He looked so hopeful, leaned forward, eyes bright. It was actually making your heart hurt how beautiful he was at that moment.
You nodded “I think- I think so.”
He smiled the most beautiful, breath taking smile you’d ever seen on him, which you didn’t think was possible because they were all beautiful, but this one was different.
“This is going to change your life I promise you. I’m going to change your life. For the better.”
“You already have.”
He pulled you right back down, kissing you like he never had as you became a tangle mess of limbs and clothes and you felt like things would get better for the first time in a long time.
Maybe being a work wife wasn’t so bad.

Warnings: Angst, Stressed reader

Heavy storms raged outside their Seattle apartment, the rain pitter-pattering against the windows as they tried to focus on their work. Thunder snapped now and then, and the wind seemed to whistle in the air as a warning.
The paper in front of them was taunting them, a blank page with no answer. All the numbers, letters, formulas, instructions, whatever it was, just didn’t make sense. It was all an incoherent mess to their tired eyes.
Deadlines were chasing them, yelling, screaming at them as if the time ticking down like sand slipping away through their fingers.
The pen in their hands seemed to be ticking them off at every moment. Ink flowed inconsistently, slipping on the paper in the wrong direction, scribbles and scrawls seeming to be the only thing that marked up their page.
A knock came from their door as they were lost in thought.
“Baby? I miss you.” He called out from behind the door. “Can we cuddle together?”
It had been so long since they heard Vince’s voice, gentle compared to his figure. As badly as they wanted to cuddle with him, they had work to catch up on and do.
They just wished he could hold them, telling them that ‘it’s alright’ and ‘you’re doing lovely,’ to calm the storm of stress in their mind. The storm seemed to mirror the outside weather that was rampant, windy, and rainy.
Instead, they sighed, almost in irritation. “Can’t. I’m working.” Even though they mumbled, their voice still cracked, amplifying their exhaustion.
“Please.” The door creaked open as he came in, his steps careful as he walked towards them. “It’s been so long since I’ve seen you,” he said quietly. “It’s been so long since I’ve even heard your voice.”
The storm continued outside, a flash of lightning followed by thunder disrupting the silence in the room.
Taking a deep breath in, it felt uneven, irritating them further. “Vince, I need to get this done,” they groaned. “Leave me alone for a bit.” Their voice came out much sharper than they had intended, and it was evident when a look of hurt appeared on his face.
He stood there in the middle of the room in silence, looking at them, arms crossed over his chest. They turned their head and looked at him for a brief moment, noticing how sad and disappointed he looked when they said that, and a pang of guilt struck them as they turned back to their work.
“Why.” He sounded hurt, his words came out so emotionally and yet empty and hollow all at once. “Why can’t you just rest with me for a moment?”
They thought about it in silence for a bit. The deadlines seemed so sudden, and the pressure to keep the expectations high was suffocating. Their body felt worn out, tense, and exhausted.
Turning to look at him, tears welled up in their eyes, blurring their vision. “I don’t know,” they croaked. “There’s just so much—”
Vince walked over to them, crouching down to be lower than eye level, and rested his hand on their shoulder. “You need a break.” He pleaded. “Okay?” His voice was always gentle with them, even when they both were upset or hurt. He never spoke louder than he had to, ever.
They finally let out a sob, exhaustion catching up to them, tears streaming down their face as they leaned into his arms. His hands braced them, holding them close as he carefully moved them off of the chair and onto the ground in his lap.
Their breaths were rough and ragged, uneven and unsteady.  “I’m sorry,” they mumbled, sniffling slightly. “I’m sorry for getting upset at you.”
“It’s okay, you’re alright. I know you weren’t feeling the best and that you weren’t in the right state of mind.” His words were genuine, smile sweet as ever.
Vince being this kind to them, even when they were upset, made them cry more at how sweet he was. The tears continued to fall, running down their cheeks, their nose now stuffy and irritated as they cried.
“Shh, it’s going to be alright,” he soothed. His thumb rubbed small circles into their back, their face hidden in the crook of his neck. “Stay here with me, just for a bit.”
They both remained like this for a while, on the floor together in each other’s embrace, the storm calming down outside to a gentle rainfall. His deep breaths steadied them, a solid rock in the ocean that never seemed to move in the most hectic storms. Despite the tears continuing to run down their face, they remained silent for the most part, taking breaths in every now and then.
He hummed softly into their hair, pulling them closer to his body as he did so. “Let’s move to the bed, alright?” Pressing his lips to their forehead gently, he spoke, “We just need a quick nap, that’s all.”
Tears welling up in their eyes again, the kindness and patience he showed never failed to disappoint them. He never once upset them or made them feel bad about themselves. He was always caring and sweet, he was always perfect in their heart.
“What’s bothering you, sweetheart?” His hand went up to their face, cupping it gently in his palms as his thumb wiped a tear away.
They shook their head, choosing to remain in silence in fear that if they tried to speak, their tears would start to fall again, unending.
“It’s okay, we can always talk about it tomorrow, okay?” he spoke softly.
Keeping his arms wrapped tightly around them, he got up and walked to their shared bed. Setting them down gently on the bed, he then got in bed and lay down beside them. He then pulled the covers over both of them, encasing them in the soft, thick blanket.
“Cozy, baby?”
They nodded in response, scooting closer toward Vince under the blanket. He wrapped his arms around them, holding them warmly as one of his hands held the back of their head as they rested it on his chest, the stress slowly crumbling away.
It was just the both of them, just him in their world at the moment. The deadlines faltering away somewhere else, the stress melting away as he held them close.
“I love you,” they mumbled quietly.
He gave them a gentle peck on the top of their head and smiled sweetly at them. “I love you too,” he said. “And I’ll never stop loving you, baby.”
They smiled at his words, and before they could start tearing up again, he peppered soft kisses all over their face, making them let out a small laugh. “That’s what I like to hear,” he hummed.

Your Adam Larsson peice is so so delightful I’ve been trying very hard to be polite and not ask for him with Dunn, but I’m picking out an outfit for a funeral, so fuck it (no pressure bud, your art is genuinely brilliant and we are blessed to have it, just wanted to ask in case you felt inspired)
hello there, i'm so sorry for your loss -- i hope you're doing as well as you can in these times 🫂
thank you for your kind words + the req!! unfortunately, while i'm still learning more about hockey culture + history, there are some players i would rather not draw given certain things i have heard or seen about them, and sadly dunn is one of them :(
it's never my intention to shame or "cancel" anyone (esp not other hrpfers); it's more that i'm not really comfortable with drawing certain players knowing what i know -- i hope that's understandable.
instead i hope this solo lars can brighten your week a little!

The fic has (finally) dropped! Summary:
"In his second season playing for the Seattle Kraken, Vince Dunn becomes sick with drop withdrawal. When it comes out that he's lied on his paperwork and hasn't had a Dom for over a year, he has no choice but to accept being assigned to a Dom on the team or risk giving up hockey.
He's paired with his d-partner, Adam Larsson, which should be the best thing to ever happen to him. Too bad he's kind of maybe falling in love with Adam. Too bad he's convinced he's broken and will never deserve a Dom as wonderful as his teammate. Too bad neither of them can grow some braincells and communicate."
If you're interested, you can read it here. :)

clandestine - will borgen
Tumblr media
will borgen x younger!beniers! reader
summary: when visiting your brother for the holidays, you realize just how attractive his roommate is
warnings: ~ 6 year age gap, mention of past injury, a few uses of y/n, if you prefer you can read this as matty being like a brother rather than a biological sibling; just ignore a few words
word count: 3.6k words (i got carried away)
you shivered from the cold december wind as you knocked on the front door, smiling when a familiar face appeared as it opened.
“hey, you made it!” matty smiled as he stepped aside to let you inside his home. “it’s so good to see you,” he said, pulling you into a hug. it had been a few months since you had last seen him, and you were excited to be spending a few days at his place in seattle over the winter break.
“your hair is getting long,” you commented, looking at his dark hair that peeked out from under his baseball cap; so grown out that is had begun to look wavy. “and i think you’re taller than the last time i saw you,” you pouted. despite the fact that you were the same age, he had always been a few inches taller than you as kids. now, he stood a solid 6 inches over you, even without skates.
“mom always did say i was still growing,” he laughed.
“speaking of mom,” you laughed, reaching into your bag and pulling out a tupperware container of baking. “she sent some cookies for me to give you,” you presented the box to him, and he took it from your hands.
“thank you! i’ll make sure to text her and tell her you didn’t keep them for yourself,” he teased, and you slapped his shoulder.
“just for that i should have.” you rolled your eyes. the two of you were walking into the kitchen, when a tall brunette man with cinnamon coloured hair peeking out from underneath a beanie came down the stairs. you recognized him as one of matty’s teammates, and you were pretty sure his name was -
“will,” matty smiled at his housemate.
“did i hear someone say cookies?” he asked, his eyes bright as he noticed you standing there. “oh, hey. matty told me you’d be staying here for a few days,” he held his hand out for you to shake. “i’m will.”
“i think we met once at a practice, but hi, it’s nice to formally meet you,” you introduced yourself, trying to ignore the funny feeling in your stomach when your hands touched; the way his eyes quickly looked you up and down going unnoticed by both beniers siblings.
“and the cookies are for me, by the way,” matty teased, and will grabbed him playfully in a headlock, and the two kraken players tumbled to the living room. you sat down on the soft grey sofa facing the tv, and matty grabbed a nintendo switch controller.
“do you still think you can beat me at mariokart?” matty asked you, and you scoffed.
“i know i can,” you corrected, as he held up the game. you hadn’t played the most recent one that much, but you were sure you had enough practice with the previous ones to beat him; you always were better at the video game, but you hadn’t played in a while.
“you’re on. loser buys dinner?”
“deal,” you agreed. “are you in?” you asked will, who sat in the arm chair next to the couch.
“no, i’ll just watch,” he shook his head, and you shrugged it off with a smile.
“suit yourself.”
it was currently a very close game, you and matty fighting back and forth for the top spot on the leaderboard. it was down to this last race, and you were starting your final lap around the track.
“maybe you should spend more time practicing driving in real life, i think you’re better virtually,” you teased, and will laughed.
“damn,” he smiled, and matty shook his head.
“you’re just mad that i’m winning,” he smirked as his kart passed you.
“shut up,” you pouted, once again not noticing that will was watching you, rather than the tv.
you were about to lose, both of you nearing the finish line, when you felt the couch dip next to you, and you looked to your right in surprise. wills hands were over yours, his arm reaching around you to hold the controller as he got an item from the box and fired the green shell straight at matty, knocking him off the kart and driving your kart across the finish line.
“that’s cheating, you said you weren’t playing,” matty protested, and will chuckled, his breath hitting your ear from how close he was sitting, and you noticed he smelled faintly of vanilla and mint.
“i’m helping,” he challenged. the points were tallied up, confirming that you had won, and you cheered as matty tossed his controller down on defeat.
“i feel betrayed,” he held a hand on his heart jokingly. “i still think that outsider interference should be a disqualification, but a deal is a deal. there’s a great restaurant not far from here, but they only do takeout. i’ll go grab it if you guys don’t mind hanging out here without me?” he offered, and you nodded.
“we’ll live,” you teased. “thanks matty.”
“thanks man,” will patted him on the back as he walked by, before matty grabbed his things and slipped his shoes on, heading out the door with a wave.
“thanks, i owe you one,” you smiled at will as he set the controller down, leaning back against the couch cushions with his arm over the back of it.
“no problem. i didn’t want to listen to him brag if he won,” he joked, a cute smile on his face.
“i can’t even imagine,” you shook your head. “i don’t know how you live with him. i mean i had to but not by choice,” you laughed, and will could tell you weren’t serious. matty had been great to grow up with, all in all a very sweet older brother, and despite what you said, you did miss having him at home.
“he’s not that bad. plus, we’re on the road a lot of the time,” he took off his beanie to run a hand through his light brown hair, before returning the hat to its proper position. you cursed yourself for thinking that his hair looked really soft, and that part of you wished you could trace your fingers through it. “did he show you where the guest bedroom is?”
“no, i had just gotten here when you came downstairs,” you explained. will stood up from the couch, stretching his arms above his head with a slight groan. you tried not to stare as his fawn coloured hoodie rode up slightly, exposing the waistband of his boxers and a sliver of his skin, before he lowered his arms.
“come on, i’ll give you the house tour. hopefully he won’t be too mad that he doesn’t get to show you around himself,” you both laughed, and you grabbed your small suitcase from by the front door. you followed after him as he showed you the kitchen, which you had seen, followed by where matty’s room was, the hallway bathroom, and finally the guest room, which was -
“it’s right next to my room. so if you need anything, just knock,” he offered, and your heart skipped a beat.
“thanks, i appreciate it.” he just nodded in response. there was a comfortable silence for a moment as will leaned against the doorframe, his eyes trained on you as you wheeled your suitcase into the guest room, throwing your phone on the nightstand, before turning back towards him. as your eyes met his, he snapped out of it, clearing his throat softly and looking at the floor, and will hoped he wasn’t blushing.
“matty should be back soon, we can go wait in the kitchen,” he nodded his head in the direction of the staircase.
“okay,” you smiled, and he stepped aside to let you through the doorway.
“do you want something to drink?” he offered once you were back downstairs, opening the fridge to reveal not much inside. if you can imagine the fridge of a couple of college students (mostly soda, a few takeout leftovers; not a vegetable in sight), that is what you were looking at, but you supposed they ate out or ordered food most of the time.
“sure, thanks,” you nodded, looking at the options. “a grape soda if that’s okay.” he passed you the purple beverage, and you felt that same funny feeling in your stomach as his fingertips briefly brushed yours. i should not be feeling this way about your brothers teammate, you thought. you watched him as he reached in to the cupboard and got out plates for the three of you, and you noticed a large scar across his neck.
“can i ask a question?”
“how did i get the scar?” he smiled, turning his attention back to you, and you instantly felt bad.
“sorry - i’m shouldn’t have asked,” you apologized, but he just laughed softly.
“it’s okay, most people do. or sometimes they just stare at it and don’t say anything, which i think might be worse,” he said. “i got cut with a skate blade at hockey camp when i was 17,” he explained.
“wow - that’s a little…”
“terrifying?” he laughed. “yeah, it was.”
“how do you get back on the ice after something like that?” you asked, bewildered at how someone could want to keep playing after something so scary happening, but he just shrugged.
“i don’t know - i missed the game i guess. i’ve always loved hockey so the thought of not playing it again never really crossed my mind. it’s been almost 10 years since it happened, i kinda don’t think about it too much anymore,” he admitted, leaning on his elbows on the countertop. you did the math, deciding he was probably around 6 years older than you, and that shouldn’t have made your heart beat faster, but it did.
“well i don’t know what it’s worth, but i’m glad you’re okay.” you offered, still feeling bad for asking about it, even though he didn’t seem to be bothered by it.
“thank you. and besides, i’ve heard some girls dig scars, so maybe it’s not a total loss,” he laughed, that cute goofy smile spreading across his face again.
“i’m sure you do alright on your own,” you said, definitely having meant to think it, rather than speak it aloud. his eyes rows raised slightly before furrowing together in confusion, not sure that he’d heard you correctly. because if he had, that meant you found him attractive, and that idea only made the butterflies in his stomach worse every time he looked at you.
“what does-“
he was interrupted by the sound of the front door opening, and you shifted your position on the barstool you sat on, not realizing how close towards eachother you had been leaning. will glanced at you one more time before walking over to help matty bring in the food, leaving you cringing at yourself in the kitchen.
“whatever that is, it smells amazing,” you commented, shaking off the embarrassment as matty and will carried the food into the kitchen, placing it on the island in front of you.
“i hope you guys weren’t too bored without me,” he joked, and you and will both looked at eachother, the shared glance going unnoticed by your brother.
“not at all,” will smiled.
you had successfully made it through the rest of the evening without sticking your foot in your mouth again. will thankfully hadn’t brought up what you’d said, especially not in front of matty, but that didn’t stop the two of you from stealing glances at eachother for the rest of the night. you had caught him only once, as you looked up and found his pale green eyes already looking your way. matty had thrown on a movie, but admittedly, you weren’t paying too much attention; instead the only thing on your mind was the kraken defenseman sitting in the chair next to you. you took note of the way his knee bounced occasionally, and wondered if he was nervous for some reason - though you doubted it.
the guys were playing call of duty downstairs, and you could hear their voices faintly as you got ready for bed, changing into some pyjama shorts and a tank top. you were sitting in bed scrolling through your phone, when you heard footsteps up the stairs, followed by a knock at the door.
“come in,” you answered, and matty peeked his head in.
“i’m heading to bed, you all good in here?” he asked, and you smiled.
“yeah, thanks matty,” you said, and you wished eachother good night, before he left to his room down the hall.
about fifteen minutes later, you heard will come upstairs, followed by the sound of his door shutting. you stuck your head out into the hall, checking to make sure matty’s light was off. it was, meaning he was likely asleep as you snuck downstairs before you could talk yourself out of it. you grabbed a small plate from the cupboard and opened the tupperware container you had brought. after placing two of the cookies on the plate, you shut it again before tiptoeing back up the stairs, pausing in front of wills bedroom.
taking a deep breath, and despite knowing it was probably a bad idea, you raised your hand to softly knock on the door. seconds ticked by, feeling like hours as you panicked, rethinking your decision to bother him.
“hey, everything okay?” he asked, a concerned look on his face as he opened the door. he had changed out of his hoodie into a t-shirt and some flannel pyjama pants, his beanie gone and his hair slightly messy as he ran his fingers through it. yeah, this was definitely a bad idea, you thought, wondering how he looked so good doing such a simple action.
“yeah- i uh - everything’s fine,” you stuttered, tripping over your words as you felt his eyes trail up your bare legs, and you realized how little you were wearing. “i owe you one for mariokart, so if matty asks you can blame me for these going missing,” you managed to say without stammering, holding the plate of cookies out to him. he smiled, taking the plate from you, and this time you swore he intentionally let his hand brush yours.
“thank you,” he walked over to the dresser and set them down, leaving you standing awkwardly in the doorway. “matty went to bed already?”
“yeah, his light is off,” you answered, shifting your weight back and forth between your feet as you crossed your arms over your chest.
“..do you want to come in?” he asked hesitantly, but not in a way that gave you the impression that he didn’t want you to.
“i think that would be a bad idea,” you answered honestly.
“sorry - yeah you’re right,” he replied, his face scrunching as if he was kicking himself for asking. you took a deep breath, looking down the hallway one more time, telling yourself that matty was for sure asleep.
“i didn’t say i didn’t want to,” you clarified, and you found it impossible to lift your gaze off the floor in front of you. your heart pounded against your ribcage as you waited for him to say anything, and finally you looked up at him, to find him for the thousandth time today, already looking at you.
“jeez, i’m a terrible friend,” he mumbled to himself. “i shouldn’t have invited you in, that’s not fair of me.”
“even if i wanted you to?” you challenged, taking a daring step into his room, and he sighed.
“your brother is my best friend, he would never forgive me if he knew what i was thinking right now,” he said softly, and you knew he was right. you definitely shouldn’t be sneaking into his room while your brother slept down the hall, but that didn’t stop you from quietly shutting the door behind you anyway.
“what are you thinking right now?” you asked, walking closer to him, only stopping when he stood up straight, facing his body towards you; you hadn’t realized how tall he was.
“about how much i want to kiss you right now,” he whispered, looking down at you as your eyes locked.
“will…”
“no one can know,” he shook his head. “i’m sorry, i don’t want to hurt you.”
“please,” you reached for him, his hands wrapping around your wrists to stop your hands from grasping at the material of his shirt.
“if we do this - we have to be so careful,” he spoke softly, his forehead resting on yours.
“i know. we’re both risking a lot. but i just really, really want you to kiss me right now and-“
his lips were on yours before you could finish your sentence, and you melted into him, his hands releasing their grip on your wrists and allowing you to snake your arms around his neck. his hands went to your waist, fingertips digging into your skin softly as his mouth moved against yours, his lips softer than you’d imagined. you separated to catch your breath, as he walked you backwards until your legs hit the end of the bed.
“do you want to stay?” he asked, and you smiled.
“another bad idea,” you both giggled, his cheeks a light shade of pink from the kiss. “but yes, i would like that.”
“matty usually sleeps in a bit on our days off, so i’ll set an alarm so you can sneak back to your room,” he offered, and then shook his head with a dry laugh, as if realizing what he had said. “i am so not getting the friend of the year award.”
“i’m sorry,” you looked down, but he tilted your face up to kiss you again, softer this time.
“don’t apologize,” he pleaded. “let’s go to bed.”
you slid your legs under the covers as will walked around and go into the other side of the bed. he laid down, and opened his arms for you to crawl into. “come here,” he mumbled sweetly, his voice sleepy as you wrapped your arms around him. you allowed your legs to tangle with his under the blanket as you kissed him on the cheek, a smile blooming on his face in response.
“goodnight will,” you hummed, and he rubbed your back, a million thought running through his mind as he started to drift off to sleep.
“goodnight.”
there is a first time for everything, and today had to be the first time that matty was awake early. luckily, will had woken up to the alarm he had set, a little disoriented to be waking up with you in his bed. he smiled down at you in his arms, and shut off the alarm, deciding to let you sleep.
he heard matty’s door and panicked slightly, but breathed a sigh of relief as his footsteps passed his own room and thumped down the stairs. will combed through his hair quickly before heading downstairs after him.
“morning,” he mumbled, rubbing his tired eyes as he wondered why his housemate was awake so early.
“morning,” matty smiled. “i didn’t think you’d be up yet. i wanted to go for a run early today; that way i’m not really ditching you and y/n,” he explained. “i feel kinda bad for leaving them stuck with you last night.”
“ouch,” will faked offence, but judging by the fact that you were currently asleep in his bed, he figured you didn’t mind being left alone with him after all. he smiled to himself as he poured himself a cup of coffee from the kettle, thinking of the stolen kisses from last night, but his smile faltered slightly as he remembered that is was his best friends little sibling he had been kissing.
“i’ll be back in a little while, try not to be a good host if y/n wakes up.”
“alright buddy,” he laughed at the irony, as matty put in his earbuds and hurried out the house. as the door shut, will exhaled deeply, running his hands over his face, feeling incredibly guilty for betraying his friend. he set the coffee mug down on the counter, padding back upstairs to his room, the guilt being replaced with butterflies in his stomach as he looked at you, tangled up in the sheets of his bed. the sun peeked through the cracks in the curtains, illuminating the parts of your skin that it fell upon, and he sighed happily.
will walked over to the side of the bed and sat down next to you, unable to stop himself from gently running his knuckles along your bare arm. you mumbled incoherently, still half asleep as you rolled over towards him.
“hey, sleepyhead. matty went out, but you should probably get up before he gets back,” he explained, and you nodded sleepily, reaching out towards him and grasping at his shirt.
“lay with me,” you murmured, and he couldn’t stop himself, sliding under the covers with you as you curled into him, waking up slightly as he leaned down to kiss you. you returned it, reaching up to cradle the side of his face in your hand as his hands slid up your back, holding you tight. he leaned against the headboard as he maneuvered you into his lap, and you pulled back slightly.
“i guess this means you don’t regret.. this?” you laughed nervously, and he smiled.
“i don’t regret it,” he pecked your lips. “i did feel guilty facing your brother though.”
“i’m sorry,” you mumbled, looking down at your lap, but he tilted you face up gently with a finger under your chin.
“you don’t have to be sorry,” he shook his head. “come on, let’s get out of bed before matty comes back and then we really have to apologize,” he joked, kissing you one more time before helping you crawl out of his lap.
“how many days are you staying with us again?” he asked, as you walked towards the door to head back to your guest room.
“why? you like having me around?” you teased.
“something like that,” he blushed, and you smiled at how cute he was.
“at least three or four,” you replied. “but i think i could be persuaded to stay longer.”

A Good Problem to Have- Journey to the Emerald City- present day blurb
Tumblr media
So after being the very near proximity to one Jamie Oleksiak last night at the Stars game, I got this little blurb for Teddy and Lex in my head. Of course, I had to write it down and you know my blurb came out to be 2.5K words. It has not been proofread so there maybe many mistakes. You have been warned.
This is SMUT and nothing but SMUT with a brief intro it.
You do not need to have read the series to enjoy the blurb. The background Teddy(Bliss) and Oleksiak (Lex) are married with eleven month twin girls. They like sex. They like sex A LOT.
Here is the link to my master list. If you haven't read the series but are interested, start with Trouble with a Capital T. It will make more sense when you read it.

March 21st- Post Game- Kraken Team bus
"Hey Lex Love," Teddy answered his Facetime call with a grin, "How are you?"
"How do you think I am?" he answered with a big smile.
"Glad to have that monkey off your back and get the win?" she replied happily.
"Exactly. Hopefully the girls are asleep?" he asked quietly.
"Yeah, they lasted until the third period before they crashed. It was nice to be able to focus on the game and have a drink," she answered, "or drinks I should say. I can't believe it was Benn that scored the game tying goal. Fucker."
"Drinks, huh?" he laughed as the tell tale signs of Tipsy Teddy emerged, "Feeling good, eh?"
Teddy bit her lip, "Feeling very good." She stared at him, lowered her eyes and blushed. She looked up again and licked her lips without thinking. Lex smiled and pondered her current state of mind.
"Tell me," he looked directly into the phone.
"I can't," she blushed, "You will laugh at me."
"No, I won't," he answered.
"Do you have your air pods in? No one can hear me?" she asked.
"No one but me, but now you have me really curious" he smiled
"Promise not to laugh?" She asked again.
"Yes"
"Ummmmm….. I just……have this……" she started. "An overwhelming desire to ummmm….. suck your cock. I can't explain it. I have never wanted to suck it as much as I do right now. Oh God, " Her cheeks flushed and heart raced.
"Oh really?" he said as he looked around to ensure no one could hear. "Never as much as now? You have enthusiastically done it in the past."
"I know. I really do like to do it because you get so turned on by it.  I love to make you cum and hear how hot you get…." She explained, "but now I WANT it. I cannot stop thinking about it. Like since the girls went to sleep, I had a vision of taking you in my mouth. Mmmmm…..fuck Lex, I want it "
Lex fought his body's response to her words. The blood pulsated below his waist. Against his better judgment, he whispered, "How do you want it?"
"I want to take the tip and suck it. I want to lick the shaft up and down,  then put my mouth on it and go up and down, " she detailed.
"Bliss…..damn," he sighed, "Tell me more."
"I want you to wrap your fingers in my hair and guide my head while you moan. I want to hear you whisper 'that's it, Bliss. Suck it good' in that low voice you get when you are so fucking turned on," she continued.
"Bliss, I am," he voice lowered, "Are you?"
"Yes, want to see?" she asked. His mind scrambled and he tried to hide his phone from view, unsure what she was about to do. She moaned softly and her fingers came to her mouth.  They were shiny and wet as she sucked them slowly.
He looked around and tried to gauge how much further until they arrived at the jet. It wouldn't be long. "Bliss, you are killing me. Take a video. I want to see it. Take a video and send it to me so I can watch you."
He looked up and saw Turbo staring at him with curiosity.
"Will you make a video and send it back to me?" She asked as her hand disappeared again. "Oh God," she moaned.
"Yes,I will," he whispered as they pulled into the airfield. "I have to go," he said, "we are at the plane now and I have to get off the bus. Please do it."
"I will," she moaned, "I love you Lex."
"I love you too, Bliss," he said quietly, "Can't wait to see it. Good night."
He ended the call as the bus stopped. Thankfully he was at the back of the bus, he folded his suit jacket over his arm and placed it in front of him as he stood up. He passed Turbo's seat. Tanev said, "Good phone call with Teddy?" Lex nodded. "Enjoy your video later.  I can only imagine the content."
Lex leveled his gaze at Turbo. He wasn't sure if he was embarrassed to be overheard or annoyed that Turbo was possibly imagining Teddy in a sexual way. "How about you don't imagine it? That will probably be best for you." He said with an edge that wasn't entirely planned.
"Woah there," Tanev immediately picked up on the tone, "It was just a joke."
"Sorry, just a little frustrated," Lex said softly.
"It's all good," Turbo laughed, "It's a good problem to have."
Lex smiled "Yes,it is. Yes, it is."
Teddy and Lex’s house- Seattle
Teddy hugged her robe tight against her body as she descended the stairs. She made a quick stop in the kitchen to make another drink to wipe out any remaining inhibitions about the amateur porn she was about to film. She shook her head and smiled. Lex probably envisioned a quick video in the bedroom, not a video shot with her professional camera.
It took a few minutes to set up the camera for the best angle of what she was about to film. Then she set up her props and adjusted her lingerie. Then she hit the record button on the camera.
Afterwards, she took a few minutes to edit out the beginning and the ending so it flowed smoothly. She then took the file and drug to the encrypted dropbox. She then shared the file and password hint to Lex via text.

Kraken Jet- Nashville
Lex looked at his phone as the jet came to a standstill and the crew readied the plane for disembarkment. He smiled as saw the notification from Teddy. He clicked on the text, read it quickly and laughed. He typed his response and hit send.
Tumblr media
Lex grabbed his stuff and tried to make it off the plane. Unfortunately, he was behind most of the team as they descended the stairs from the jet. He stared at his phone at the icon of the shared video. His mind raced with the potential images contained in the video. Teddy and he had similar videos in the past on road trips. They all had lasting impact on him and provided much needed inspiration for solo activities. He grew impatient as it seemed as if every single one of his teammates was moving in slow motion.
Time dragged as he boarded the bus and they began their slow drive to the hotel. Lex resorted to deep breathing to keep the thoughts at bay. Disastrous consequences could arise if he entertained thoughts of Teddy for longer than a few seconds. At least he had the forethought to sit at the front of the bus. At the hotel, he raced to get his luggage from underneath the bus, get his hotel assigned room key card and up the elevator.
“Whoa, Big Rig,” Turbo chirped, “Where’s the fire? Oh, did she send it? I bet she sent it.”
“Don’t make me hurt you,Turbo,” he called out over his shoulder as he scrambled to the elevator.
Lex closed the door firmly when he entered the seventh floor hotel room. He left his bag by the door and started stripping. He held the phone in hand and plopped on the bed. He went to open the file before he remembered his promise to send a video in return. She probably wanted to see his reaction to her video. “Damn,” he thought to himself, “I can’t watch the video and record at the same time.” He remembered his Ipad. He could access the video from there and record on his phone- problem solved. He surveyed the room to find the best place to set up the phone that gave the best view of him on the bed.
Lex hit the record button and went back to the bed. His back rested against the headboard of the bed, legs spread slightly apart. He looked up at the camera and gave a smile and a wink. He leaned over and set the tablet up on the cover, angled it so he could see the screen and started the video. He turned to the phone, “Kitty Kat, there will be a consequence to the continued teasing about the condoms. Just so you know.” He paused and thought of the ways he was going to punish her in their next kinky play session.
The video began with Teddy sitting somewhat demurely on the chair in her office. She had definitely used lights from her studio to her best advantage. He blinked when he saw the red lace bra and panty set she wore. It had been a surprise to him during their honeymoon. He smiled at the camera and said, “Oh, you dressed for the occasion, eh?” Then the music started and his head tilted slightly to the left as he listened. Body Party Remix. She stood up and began a seductive dance in front of the camera while maintaining eye contact with the camera lens. Occasionally, she sang the lyrics as she bumped and grinded. His hand went to cock which was growing harder by the second. He played with the tip before he began to stroke.
She sang “I'm doing this little dance for you. You got me so excited’ as she squatted and spread her legs, her crotchless panties revealed her aroused sex. She used her fingers to spread her labia apart. Her desire was plainly evident as she rubbed her clit in small circles. She looked down and then up at the camera. “See what you do to me, Lex?” she moaned, “Only for you.”
“Fuck,” he groaned and sat up straighter.
She continued to explore herself as the music played. When the song ended, she stood up and walked to the chair. Another song began, Body Say and her hips snapped to the beat as she reached beneath the seat and pulled out a dildo. She sat down in the chair and rubbed the toy across her chest and down her abdomen. She brought it back up the length of her body and slowly dragged it across her jaw. She moaned, “Mmmmmm…. Not as good as yours but it will have to do.” Her lips went to the dildo and she sucked the tip.
“Bliss,” he moaned, “That is so fucking hot.” When her mouth moved down the shaft, his hand twisted up and down the length of his own. He struggled to keep his eyes on the video as he imagined her velvety mouth enveloping his cock. Her tongue applied just the right pressure to his sensitive skin. His eyes watched as she expertly mimicked her technique on the dildo. It was the exact movements that she used to draw him deeper into his pleasure.
On the video, she looked at the camera with half closed eyes as she whimpered. “I love sucking your cock- so big and hard for me,” she hummed softly, “I love it when you fuck my mouth with it.” She became silent except for the sounds of her mouth slurping. Occasionally the soundtrack was interrupted with a moan. She paused and smiled, “Are you almost there, Lex? I bet you are. I bet you are panting and your hand is moving like a jackhammer. Is it as good as my mouth?”
He groaned, “No…..Damn, I want your mouth on me. Fuck so close.”
“Keep going, Lex. Don’t stop. Cum for me. I want to see you cum so hard thinking of my mouth on that glorious cock. I can’t stop thinking about it. I want it too much. Give it to me. Let me hear you cum,” she encouraged.
His soft grunts became louder. A thought that he should be concerned about being too loud floated across his mind before  he dismissed it. He needed this. He needed this release. Fuck anyone who had to listen to him. He cried out, “Bliss….. Yes… Bliss” as his orgasm began. A series of grunts and groans followed as his cum spurted onto his stomach. His hand continued to stroke until the waves of pleasure dissipated. Finally he was left breathless as he studied the ceiling.
“Lex…. Oh Lex,” she called from the video. After six years of amazing sex, she knew that he would be lost in a post-cum fog for a few moments. He turned his head and looked at the video. “We’re not done yet,” she purred, “round two coming up.”
She dropped the dildo and retrieved Pinky, her trusted vibrator. “Let’s have a race, Lex, “ she teased, “who can cum the fastest.”
“Not fair, Bliss,” he whined to himself as he watched her turn on the toy and play with her nipples. The teasing had its desired effect and his hand went back to his cock. He watched as she rubbed her clit in coy motions. When she slipped it inside of her and groaned loudly, the race began.
Lex’s hotel room became filled with the sounds of her pleasure combined with his. Anyone listening outside the room would be convinced that there were two people in the room actually having sex instead of a session of mutual masterbation. The intensity of the vibrations gave the advantage to Teddy and her orgasm was loud and enthusiastic. When he came down from his second climax, she waited on the video.
“Love, was it good? Was it what you wanted?” she questioned. “I love you, Lex. Get some sleep and I will talk to you in the morning,” she smiled before the video cut off.
“I love you too, Bliss. I love you so much,” he smiled back before looked down at the mess he had made on his body. “Too bad you aren’t here to clean this up with your tongue,” he joked as he stood up. The warm cum oozed down his abdomen as he walked to the phone. His face was close to the camera when he said, “I want another video back. I want to see you watching my video, just liked I did for yours. No music, no editing- just my sexy wife.” Then he hit the stop button.
After he cleaned up in the bathroom, he put on a pair of boxers, picked up the phone and  returned to the bed. He didn’t waste time editing the video like she had. Instead he quickly uploaded it to an encrypted dropbox and wrote a text to Teddy. He put the phone on the charger, got under the covers and fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning- Lex and Teddy’s house- Seattle
Teddy woke up with a smile on her face. The girls were sleeping in and she rolled over to look at her phone. She saw the text from Lex and responded.

he walked through the door, and greeted theo, your dog, before making his way through your house in search of you and elijah. he heard elijah's infectious laugh coming from the backyard and made his way outside.
elijah was quickly distracted by theo running over to him and jumping around him while brandon sat down on the grass next to you looked back and smiled, but your smile was quickly swapped with a look of confusion, "huh." was all you said.
"huh? that's all you got?"
"i don't really know what else to say." you ran a hand through his newly short hair.
elijah finally looked over at brandon, and stared at him just as shocked, "daddy?" he asked.
"right here, buddy." brandon opened his arms.
elijah waddled over and reached for brandon's hair, "where hair?"
"i cut it off," brandon answered.
"where it go?" he asked.
"i got rid of it. do you like it?" elijah made a face.
"i guess not." you laughed.
"what? why not?" elijah didn't answer, he, in response, turned around and began playing with theo.
"well, now that you're home, i have an appointment to get to. don't cause too much trouble." you kissed brandon on the cheek, then picked up elijah and kissed all around his face.
"hey, why don't i get kisses like that?"
"because you got a haircut and didn't tell me."

[1.]
Your best friend pointed it out first.
Jamie was going home for Christmas. You were bummed when he first told you he’d be back in Canada for the break, but you knew not all of your friends could stick around for the holidays. Not everyone in your life was born and raised in Seattle, unfortunately.
“You’ll be at the game on the 22nd right?” he asked.
“Don’t I come to all the home games?” You teased. You were a season ticket holder after all.
When Seattle got a hockey team, you were quick to snatch up season tickets thankful to finally have a professional team in your hometown. You never thought you’d end up friends with one of the players–actually multiple players thanks to Jamie dragging you to just about every Kraken function in the last three years. At the beginning of this season, Jamie insisted he give you one of his free tickets to the home games so that you wouldn’t have to pay for tickets, but you declined.
“Do you think you could take me to the airport after?”
A frown tugged at the corners of your lips. Because, no you really didn’t want to take him to the airport. You wanted your best friend to stay in Seattle with you for the holidays.
“Sure Jame,” you answered.
“You’re the best,” Jamie sighed. “Do you wanna hang out tomorrow?”
The team had just gotten back from a roadie. You were settling into bed when Jamie called, him doing the same. You hadn’t seen him for a week. You did text every day, and you facetimed once after a rough game. He also called you twice, once because he was bored on his day off and the other one because you got off work late and wanted to be on the phone with someone while you walked from your office to your car.
“Yes! I work in the morning, but my evening is free.”
“We’ve got optional morning practice so I’ll probably go to that tomorrow. Come over after work?”
Not that anyone could see, but you had the biggest grin on your face. “Sounds like a plan.”
Almost immediately after hanging up with Jamie, one of your girlfriends called. You’d been promising to hang out with her for the last two weeks but neither of your schedules had lined up.
“Ok we need to do something before Christmas. Give me the days you’re free.”
“Tonight and the 23rd,” you answered her.
“Dammit!” She swore. “I’m free tomorrow and the 22nd.”
“Jamie and I just planned to hang out tomorrow. And by just planned I mean literally I got off the phone with him not even a minute before you called.”
“Ugh,” she grunted. “Fuck him. Oh wait… you’re trying to right?”
You giggled nervously. “Shut up.”
“You’re probably hanging out with him on the 22nd too huh?”
“There’s a game that night and then I’m taking him to the airport after.”
“Oooh taking him to the airport… that’s a big step Y/N.”
Even though she couldn’t see you, you rolled your eyes at her. “I’ve taken him to the airport multiple times.”
“Yeah you suckered yourself into being his ride. It starts with just one quick offer and then pretty soon it’s just a given that you’ll be taking them.”
“And then they leave you two years later for their intern?” It was a low blow but you didn’t mean it in a hurtful manner, nor did she take it that way. She’d gone through the grieving process of her last boyfriend dumping her and immediately getting with his intern and now you were able to joke about what an asshole he was.
“Exactly!”
“Good thing me and Jamie aren’t dating then,” you added.
“You could be though. It’s pretty obvious you two like each other as more than just friends.”
You decided to change the subject. “What are you doing on the 24th?”
[2.]
Penny pointed it out next.
Jamie’s family was at the game. You recognized Penny almost instantly, it’s not every day a multiple Olympic medalist goes to a Seattle Kraken game– that and you’d been with Jamie on a few occasions when he’d FaceTimed her. It took you a minute to recognize his parents, but you’d seen photos of them at Jamie’s place and on his phone and figured the two people walking with Penny had to be them.
You didn’t hesitate to introduce yourself when Penny joined you at the glass, likely waiting for the team to come out for warmups.
“You’re Jamie’s sister right?” You asked. You held your hand out, giving her a big smile. “I’m Y/N. Jamie’s best friend.”
“I thought you looked familiar,” she said and shook your hand. “Nice jersey. I’m sure it gives Jame an ego boost to see you in it,” she teased.
“He won’t let me wear anyone else’s number. Says it goes against the best friend code.”
Penny rolled her eyes with a laugh.
“So, what are you doing here? Jamie said he was going home for Christmas.”
“We wanted to surprise him. He comes home every year. It’s about time we go to him.”
“Hey Pen.” Jamie’s mom had met you both at the glass, smiling at you the whole time.
“Hey mom. This is Y/N,” Penny introduced for you.
You swore his mom’s smile got bigger. “We’ve heard a lot about you. Jamie’s so grateful for your friendship. I’m Allison.” She stuck her hand out and you shook it.
“Jamie’s gonna be so excited to see you guys.”
And he was. When Jamie saw the four of you at the glass during warmups, his smile grew ten times its original size.
“Hey, come find us after the game, ok? We’re gonna hang out and wait for Jame and you should stay and hang out too.” Penny asked, just as they were all about to make their way back to their seats as the game was about to start.
“I will. I’m technically his ride anyway,” You laughed. “I was supposed to take him to the airport tonight.”
When you’d met up with everyone after the game, Jamie insisted you come back to his place with him and hang out even longer. And you couldn’t tell him no when he practically begged you to come over.
After their parents went to bed, Jamie suggested a movie night with you and Penny. Except thirty minutes into the movie he laid his head down on you like he did during most movie nights and it wasn’t long before he had fallen asleep.
“You can’t tell him I told you this but he totally has a thing for you,” Penny spilled suddenly.
You couldn’t help but smile. “You think so?” you asked, glancing down at the man in question asleep with his head on your lap.
“I don’t just think, I know so. You should give it a shot.”
Your cheeks felt warm at her words. Jamie was your best friend, but of course you always wondered if there was something more there. There was for you, but you never wanted to put your friendship in jeopardy by admitting it.
“I know you like him too,” Penny added.
And maybe she was right.
[3.]
Schultzy nagged Jamie about it for weeks.
“Come on man,” Schultz groaned, eyeing you across the room. “You mean to tell me you haven’t hit that once?”
They were all at the new years team party. You were busy chatting with a few of the girlfriends that had come tonight. Jamie figured you must’ve just been complimented on your outfit tonight as you had glanced down at yourself and turned side to side just slightly, showing off more of the attire.
Jamie shook his head. “And don’t say it like that. Have some respect, man,” Jamie scolded.
Justin put his hands up. “Sorry.”
“So can I hit that?” Vince teased.
Jamie glared at him. “No. And not because I like her, but because she deserves better than some horny hockey guy.”
“It was a joke,” he defended.
“It wasn’t funny.”
Vince nodded his head. “Sorry. You’re right.”
“And you’re positive you don’t like her?” Justin asked.
“We’re just friends,” Jamie swore. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you though, and the guys he was sitting with caught on.
— —
It was the same during warmups when Jamie had caught your eye. You hardly ever missed warmies during home games and it had now become part of Jamie’s routine to skate by you and place his hand on the glass, you doing the same. It started as a high five, but your hands began lingering longer and longer each time.
“If you don’t like her, why do you always look at her with those lovey dovey eyes?” Schultz chirped, giving Jamie a slight check when he had skated away from you.
“I don’t,” Jamie defended.
Schultz rolled his eyes.
“I don’t!” Jamie yelled after Justin as he skated off.
— —
“Hey, drinks at my place tonight.” Brandon caught Jamie just as he was leaving the rink.
“Sorry man. I can’t tonight. Y/N’s got car troubles.”
Jamie was on his way to pick you up. You’d had a bad day at work, but the icing on the cake was that your car wouldn’t start so you were stranded there. You called him in a fit just shortly after he’d gotten to the locker room.
“Ditching us for Y/N again?” Schultz asked, throwing his arm around Jamie’s shoulder. “You’re sure you don’t like her?”
Jamie rolled his eyes. “Let it go.”
“Dude, you’re ditching out on guys night for her. It’s pretty obvious you like her as more than just a friend.”
“She had a bad day, man. I’d do the same for you if you had a bad day. If you were having car troubles, I’d come jump ya, or pick you up.”
Schultz snorted. “Yeah ok. Even if that was true, you gotta admit that it’s different with her.”
And Jamie didn’t want to admit it, but he knew that was true.
[4.]
It was Jamie’s mom who actually got him thinking about it though. Of course it had crossed his mind multiple times and he always felt some pang of guilt when he told his friends he didn’t like you like that. He felt jealous when guys would flirt with you, extra jealous if it was guys on his team.
Whenever you two were alone, he sometimes wondered if there was something more there than just friends. He tried not to let the thought overwhelm him though.
“So, why do you want my soup recipe again?” Allison asked.
“Y/N is sick. I was gonna make it for her and bring it over.”
“Are you two dating yet?”
“No,” Jamie laughed. “No, Ma. Just friends.”
“Your dad says you look at her the way he looks at me.”
Jamie smiled to himself. “She’s my best friend though. What if I go for it and it doesn’t work out? I don’t want to risk our friendship.”
“What if you go for it, and it works out better than you ever expected?” she countered.
“So that soup recipe?” Jamie changed the subject.
Allison wouldn’t let him. “How many of your friends would make you homemade chicken soup when you’re not feeling well?”
“Y/N would,” Jamie answered quickly. “Oh.” He realized then what his mom was hinting at. Maybe there was something there. Something more.
“It’s obvious to everyone else, but oblivious to you two,” Allison laughed. “Alright. You got a pen ready to write this down?”
When his mom has finished repeating the recipe, Jamie brought up something he never thought he’d ask, or at least didn’t think he’d ask so soon. “Hey Ma… when did you know that you were falling for dad?”
— —
[+1.]
The knock startled you. Even though you weren’t expecting anyone, you knew who it was before you even opened the door.
“Hey,” you rasped.
“Hey,” Jamie greeted with a smile. “Brought ya somethin’” he said, holding out the large container. “Made it this afternoon. It’s my mom’s recipe.”
You tried to get out a thank you, but started coughing before you could. You turned away from Jamie, coughing into your elbow. Your chest hurt, your head ached, being sick was absolutely the worst.
“You don’t have to stay,” you said when Jamie closed the door behind him and toed his shoes off.
“I want to.”
“I don’t want to get you sick.”
“I’m not worried about that.”
You laid down on the couch, pulling your blanket over you. You’d spent most of your day in the same position you were currently in, that was after you had slept until almost 2pm.
“Are you hungry? I can warm up some soup for you,” Jamie asked. He frowned at you in your miserable state. His heart ached.
“Ok,” you said. “But only if you eat some too.”
“Deal,” Jamie chuckled. “I’ll be in the kitchen.”
“I’ll be here.” You tried to smile at him, but couldn’t muster up much. Damn flu.
Five minutes later he was back with two bowls of warmed soup.
You groaned as you sat up. Your whole body ached and from nothing in particular, just the flu bug you’d caught that had run rampant through you. You wrapped the blanket around your shoulders, but still shivered. You’d had a hard time staying warm all day, although the fever would beg to differ.
Jamie placed both bowls on the coffee table and then sat down beside you.
“Seriously, Jame. As much as I want you here, the team will kill me if you get sick.”
Jamie chuckled. “Nah. They’ll kill me for being careless and irresponsible.”
“Exactly! And I like you alive. I don’t know how I’d function with you dead.”
“I’m not gonna get sick. Eat your soup.”
“You’re so demanding,” you teased, rolling your eyes at him.
Jamie handed you the bowl when you were all situated. You hummed around the first bite; the hot broth soothed your sore throat and warmed you right up. And the taste was delicious. You could tell it was his mom’s recipe as it felt like home with every bite you took.
“Wanna watch a movie?” You suggested. Jamie wasn’t going to leave—you didn’t exactly want him to anyway— so you might as well make the most of him being there.
“Sure. Is it still my turn to pick or do you get to this time since you’re sick?” You could never come to an agreement on who picked the movie whenever you’d hung out so you made a deal to just switch off every time. It worked a lot better than anything else you’d tried—which included everything from rock paper scissors to whoever’s house you were at.
“Rules are rules. You pick.”
You grabbed another blanket from your bedroom as Jamie found a movie to watch. You laid down with your head on the armrest and Jamie sat roughly in the middle, letting you rest your legs across his lap. You had one blanket to yourself but shared the second one you’d brought out and you both settled in for the show.
You were nearly asleep when Jamie cleared his throat. You turned to look at him just as he asked, “Hey, do you ever think of us as more than just friends?”
He hoped you couldn’t feel the way he was physically shaking as he asked the question. Little did you know that he’d tried to ask it about a million times since coming over. He’d played it over and over in his head, what words he was going to use, how to phrase it, when the perfect moment to ask it would be, how you would respond, if you felt the same way, and if this would change everything for you both. So yeah, he was shaking and terrified.
But to his surprise, you seemed totally calm as you responded. “Often, yeah. Do you?”
“Yeah,” he nodded. “You know other people think of us that way too? Like they think we should be a couple ya know.”
You laughed softly. “Yeah, I know.”
“How come you’ve never brought it up?”
You sat up from the couch, your legs still thrown across Jamie’s lap. “Truthfully, I didn’t think you liked me as more than a friend. Well, until Penny brought it up when she was here for Christmas, that you did like me more than that. Since then I’ve wanted to ask but just been too nervous to I guess,” you shrugged.
Jamie nodded, taking a few seconds to process your words. “So do you like me more than just a friend?”
He was suddenly so shy. You couldn’t help but smile.
“Yes, Jame. I have for a while.”
Jamie smiled too. “Y/N, when you’re feeling better, will you go on a date with me?”
“I would love to.”
His smile only got bigger. “You have no idea how bad I wanna kiss you right now. But I’m not going to because I know you won’t let me, because you’re sick.”
You laughed. “You’re exactly right. That too is just going to have to wait until I’m feeling better.”

The crowded and noisy bar was not the place to be on a Friday night after a long, tiring day of work. Bodies pressed up one another to the music, the stench of alcohol and booze lingering in the air, loud talking over one another. It was a recipe for a headache. Unfortunately, to her friends, a night out at the bar was a great idea. And so, she ordered a fruity, colorful drink to hopefully distract her.
Minutes passed by, and the drink was forgotten, half-empty and sitting on the bar counter next to her. She swirled the tiny umbrella around the glass, hoping to come up with an excuse to tell her friends why she left early. Her mind sat blank, thinking that just disappearing would cause her friends to panic, and saying that she wants to go home is too straight-forward and a bit rude.
A sigh fell from her mouth as she looked up from her drink, looking around the bar for her friends, hoping that they at least enjoyed their night. It was difficult to spot her friends through the crowd of people in the darkened bar, so after a few minutes of searching and to no avail, she gave up.
She looked at her drink, seeing the mixture of yellow pineapple juice and some alcohol swirl against the ice cubes, before deciding to finish the rest of it. It tasted tangy and sweet on her tongue, the cool liquid helping her calm her nerves for a bit.
After a while, the effects of the drink kicked in, the music was a lot less of a headache to deal with, and the crowd of bodies dancing seemed tempting. Everything seemed more tolerable. Maybe all she needed to do was let loose, and enjoy the night with dancing and drinks.
And so she got up off of the barstool and started walking to the dance floor. She felt a bit more confident now that she wasn’t feeling so tired. Music in the air was livelier than before, the beat of it thumping in her chest, and the crowd kept moving along to it.
She moved to the music, becoming lost in her own world for a bit, enjoying how happy she felt at the moment. The melody seemed to dance in the air and around her, a swirling magic of notes. A smile grew on her face as she swayed in the crowd, feeling confident and not caring what others think.
As she looked up, her eyes met someone, his soft curls sticking to his forehead, his eyes full of laughter, and his lips turning into a smile when his friends told him a joke. He looked like an Ancient Greek sculpture with his strong, and yet gentle blushed cheeks that could be seen in the dim bar lighting.
He took a sip of his drink before setting it down, telling something to his friends, and started making his way over to her. She noticed the way the dark t-shirt hugged his body, how his lips looked so soft, how his eyes seemed to shine even in the dark. When he approached her, she noticed that he smelled like sweet rosewood, and the faint scent of the beer he had earlier lingered on him.
He smiled before speaking to her, his lips moved, but it was impossible to hear him over the loud music in the bar.
“I’m really sorry but I can’t hear you!” she shouted.
He paused for a second before bending down near her ear and spoke, “Should we go somewhere quieter?”
She nodded her head and they both made their way out of the bar, the fresh cool air smooth on their skin. It was much more quiet and calm outside of the bar, but the adrenaline was still coursing through their veins.
“Hey, it’s nice to actually hear you know,” he laughed. His voice was a lot more gentle than she expected, and his laugh was adorable. Warmth radiated off of him in the cooler air, and it was tempting for her to not lean closer to him.
“Yeah,” she chuckled. “What’s your name?”
“Vince.” He stuck out his hand for her to shake.
She took his hand and shook it, noticing how warm it was compared to the cool air. “Nice to meet you Vince, you’re really pretty by the way,” she blurted out.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,”
His lips curled into a shy smile before he started laughing softly, “Thanks, you’re really stunning,”
A gentle blush rose to her face, lightly dusting her cheeks with pink. The fairy-lights that hung outside the bar glowed softly against the walls and the surroundings. “How is your night going?” she asked politely.
“My night is going pretty well,” he said. “Had some drinks with some friends while catching up, met a gorgeous girl who was dancing tonight,” he smirked at the last bit. “What about you?”
“Oh, I’ve had a pretty fun night.” She responded.
“Yeah? Tell me about it,” he grinned.
“Well first I had a drink, Pineapple Mint Caipirinha. Didn’t enjoy it at first but it started tasting good after a while,”
“Sounds fancy,”
“It’s nothing too crazy.” She shrugged. “If you want I can get you it,”
“Whew, trying to buy me drinks now, miss?” he laughed. “It’s alright you don’t have to, it’s stuffed in there, so we don’t have to go back in.”
“Yeah, I’m going to have to agree with you.”
He nodded his head before speaking again, “Back to the question, anything else fun that you did tonight?” His eyes looked at hers, noticing how the tension between them grew a little.
“After the drinks I started enjoying the night more, danced around for a bit, enjoying the music,” she paused as she turned to face him, her hands trailing up his arms lightly, “met a handsomely fine man,” she went on.
His breath hitched for a bit, getting caught in his throat, and he leaned into her touch. “Yeah?” he asked, barely above a whisper. “Anything else fun you did?” He set his hands on her hips gently, making sure that she was comfortable.
“Nope. But I’d be down for more dancing tonight if you are,” she smiled.
He smiled back and let them both linger in the peaceful silence between them, hearing the occasional car pass by down the street, and the patrons of the bar walking out into the night. Music gently flowed out of the bar from the open door, a gentle hum of the melody could be heard.
“May I have this dance then?” His voice is soft and his eyes sweet. The small light hanging outside of the bar casted a glow behind him, giving him a halo around his head. He looked beyond angelic, and the way he smiled added more to it.
She nodded her head, smiling again once her eyes met his, and they started swaying softly to the music. He held her tenderly, almost as if he was afraid she’d slip out of his hands if he wasn’t careful.
He drifted his hands up to hers, and spun her around, making her let out a laugh that filled the quiet air with sweetness. It was like a never-ending moment between the both of them, their smiles making each other swell with happiness, the warmth in each others’ grasp radiating into the crisp night air.
“Gosh, you’re so gorgeous right now, so pretty since I’ve met you,” he whispered.
“Can say the same about you Vince, you look angelic.” She brushed a stray curl that fell out of place back, noticing the flustered look in his face as her hands gently touched his cheekbones.
He leaned in closer to her, his breath fluttering against her lips. “May I kiss you?”
“Yes please.”
And with that, his lips pressed against hers delicately, closing the space between the two of them. It was a soft, gentle kiss that seemed to last a minute, despite only lasting for a few seconds. They both pulled back for a brief moment, their eyes full of adoration, before they kissed each other again.
The glow of the street-lights looked like little stars dancing around the both of them, a fairy-tale moment almost. When they pulled back once again, they started laughing like two teenagers who just fell in love for the first time.
“You’re so, so lovely,” he spoke softly, his thumbs rubbing circles on her hips. His face and neck were flushed with red, and his smile was bright.
“And so are you,” she said as she pressed a small kiss to his rosy cheek.
Her phone started to ring, the display showing her friend’s name on the screen and she picked up. She let her friends know that she was doing okay and that she was just outside getting some fresh air. Her friends had already left the bar a while back, making her realize how late it was.
Her friend hung up and they both stood there outside of the bar, not wanting the night to come to an end. It was quiet now, the city was starting to sleep, and it became evident that she was as well. She yawned, followed by Vince also yawning, making the both of them laugh.
“Hey Vince? I’m really sorry but I have to end the night.” Disappointment laced her voice. “It’s getting late and I’m a bit sleepy, I had a fun night with you though.”
“Oh no worries, I understand. Do you want me to walk you home, or can you make it home safely on your own?” he asked. It was a simple gesture, but it was extremely thoughtful of him.
“I can get home safely Vince, don’t worry.” She smiled.
“That’s good to hear, but can I ask you a question?”
“Go ahead,”
“Can I get your number? I just really enjoyed the night with you and I’d like to do it again sometime,” he asked nervously.
“Sure,” she responded. “I enjoyed the night as well and I was hoping we could spend more time together,”
He smiled again at her words, appreciating every bit of it. They exchanged numbers before he proposed an idea.
“Can you stand there and smile for me?” he asked, holding his phone up. She did as he said, giving him a big smile as he snapped a photo for the contact image. His heart warmed at the sight of her smile
“Your turn, Vince.” She held her phone up, capturing an image of him with a large grin, his eyes caught mid-blink. She laughed as she selected that image for his contact, knowing that she wouldn’t regret it.
They said their good-byes and as she was walking away, he shouted out to her, “Let me know when you get home safely!” making her feel warm at the gesture.
As she walked away down the street, she felt happy and warm about her night, appreciating how it wasn’t so bad of an idea to go out with her friends. She kept a mental note to herself to thank her friends the next morning for the fun and eventful night.
When she arrived at her home, her shoes discarded to the side, and her bag on a hook near her door, she laid down on her couch and texted Vince about her arrival at her home.
Made it home!

Yippie! - Vince
She laughed at his text, finding it hilarious how just one word from him could’ve made her light up with joy like that. After a couple of minutes, she got off of the couch and started making her way to her room, getting ready to go to bed after the long night.
Before she fell asleep, she sent him one more text.
Goodnight, and sweet dreams <3
You too, sweetheart <3 - Vince
